It was a couple of days since Athren had met the witch Tess who had been giving aid to the young saiyan child Conan. Though their meeting was somewhat short, the young saiyan did learn of something interesting. The forest had been a wonderful place to train. It offered quite a variety of animals and beasts that would make an attempt to peel the flesh from Athren's bones and deliver the meat to their hungry babies. Of course, Athren wasn't going to let himself be an easy target for whatever had decided to make him prey. In fact, he knew he couldn't be killed by a simple beast of Earth but that wouldn't stop him from letting a creature make chase. If he was chased he could dodge everything, with his heavy weights equipped as usual Athren might actually have to put in a little bit of effort. The plus side of this was also that he didn't need to use his imagination, he had something physical trying to kill him. Surely, it'd be interesting to see what decided to come out to play. Currently the young saiyan warrior had found himself in his base form, he was walking confidentially through the forests with his head held high and his eyes keeping track of the path in front of him. His scouter was equipped along with his heavy weights. At the moment, it wasn't only Athren's eyes that had been paying attention to the environment. He was listening to every little movement of brush that was in the area. It maybe took him about twenty minutes of being in the area to catch the attention of a hungry predator. Hearing the screech of a large pterodactyl Athren's eyes aimed for the sky. It's eyes were locked onto Athren as it circled around the air above him. Hell, he had even heard it say the words. "Looks like I've found dinner!" Little did it know, Athren wasn't going to be an easy target. In fact, it wasn't going to succeed at all. Athren couldn't help but arch his right eyebrow curiously, he didn't know what to expect from this but it'd surely be something interesting and new for him. It didn't take very long but the large, flying muscle mass swooped down towards the saiyan. Athren had a smirk smear across his face. It's large feet extended as it's razor sharp claws were shown. Quickly, Athren did a back flip to push himself multiple feet back from where it had wanted to grab him. After this was done, Athren had blasted up unto the sky to give the large creature an advantage of it's own. Athren didn't want to play on his terms, he wanted to play in the creatures domain. That way, he'd get the absolute best challenge that it had to offer. "Come on then, If you're hungry. I'm right here." Athren yelled at the creature as it flew quickly towards him for another attack. Once more Athren had managed to evade the birds grasp. This time Athren shuffled himself over to the side using his ki. The creature had blew right past him and began to circle around one more time. Athren had let the game of cat and mouse go on for about twenty minutes or so, he wasn't being caught and he wasn't even close to being touched so he figured he'd call it quits and find another challenger to toy with. Speaking up Athren stared directly at the oncoming creature. "Alright, Play times over. I suggest you go find another meal." Athren had said this in quite a serious tone, Athren honestly didn't want to hurt the thing but he would if he had too. He wasn't going to do this all day and there was a point where it was acceptable to defend himself. Closing the gap the Pterodactyl spoke up once more. "You're my meal!" This time it had decided to launch it's beak forward in attempt to bite onto the young super saiyan. It was in that moment that Athren shifted his body to the right to let the head of the creature blow right past him, it was also in this moment that Athren brought his elbow up into the air and quickly crashing down into the creatures skull. On collision the creature went spiralling towards the hard surface of the Earth. It didn't take long before it hit the ground with a thud, a light dust cloud would've formed around the area where the creature had hit. Immediately Athren had lowered himself and landed beside the unconscious beast of an animal. "Should've listened." He said aloud in a confident tone with a light smile on his face. Who would've known what was to come? What would try to attack him next? Hopefully it'd offer more of a challenge that this creature did, in all honesty. It was quite pathetic. Regardless, he understood that he wasn't dealing with fighters. He was dealing with predatory animals. There was a HUGE difference. So all in all, he couldn't really complain.

Sunlight filtered in through the vines covering the old glass windows, it shone onto the floorboards of the master bedroom, a black and white cat stretched lazily on a pile of blankets on the large mattress. The cat jumped off as the blankets began to shift reveling the drowsy witch beneath, she squinted at the analog clock across the room, "Oh geez," she slowly raked her hair back with both hands as she stretched her back. It had only been few days since the storm but it had weakened her severely and was still recovering from the excessive use of magic. King, the black and white cat stood on his hind legs and stretched again, "Fell any better, ma?" Tess sat on the edge of the bed and blew stray hairs out of her face, "Not much, but I think I'll live," She smiled warmly at her worried seemingly familiar, King rolled his olive green eyes at her in frustration, "You're not healing because you won't relax and let it flow!" King knew the storm had been hard on her but only because she kept suppressing her magic, if she could just let it flow... King glanced around the room as Tess yawned, Suddenly, his eyes fell onto his trusty guitar. youtu.be/71AYHvxkBQ0 (listen) Tess looked up as just as King grabbed and played a few notes, "What are yo-" She was cut off as he let out a singing sigh and began to play familiar notes, "I'm that flight that cha get on international~" He hopped up onto her lap as her continued to strum, "First class seat on my lap girl riding comfortable~" He hopped down as Tess rose from the bed and spun into her day clothes, with a smile she followed King down stairs. She sung open the doors as King turned the song on the massive stereos (The only electronic item she owns) She spun briefly in the small clearing in front of the old home, soon she was dancing, she danced much like a gypsy with King dancing at her side. As the music flowed she began to glow slightly as magic flowed out of her, white magical flames slithered off of her as she rose her arms. Tess was in complete bliss as she felt warmer and lighter, she finally opened her eyes to see she was floating a few inches off the ground, in shock she stumbled to the mossy forest floor. "Oh sweet Gaia! Did you see that King!? I was floating without trying!" She was giddy with joy and pride, King merely smirked, Don't forget I'm your familiar for a reason, Ma" He winked while she lifted and hugged her faithful familiar.

Before walking away Athren took one last glance at the downed creature. Why didn't it just listen to him? If it had, it wouldn't be laying on the ground like it was. It could have flown away peacefully without getting hurt. Why was everything so damn stubborn on this planet? It didn't make sense. People refused to believe when they were beat, they refused to accept defeat. Sure, Athren could expect that from a saiyan but this? This was just crazy. Regardless of the outcome that had happened, Athren was positive the creature would be up and about in an hour or two with just a massive headache. The attack wasn't enough to kill it, but the landing most likely would have been the hardest part. "Listen next time, Will you?" Athren said as he began to walk away from it. He once again found himself on a path that had been fairly packed down, it wasn't perfect but it was clear it was walked many times before. He couldn't help but wonder what he was going to run into next. It literally could have been anything or it could have been nothing. He'd find out if and when anything decided to happen. He continued to walk, his head was held high and he stayed alert. He relied on more than just his sensing ability or his scouter. He walked for about half an hour before something had happened, this time he heard a loud thud just in front of him. It had sounded like something large and put it's foot down. When it came out, his eyes were to the sky, he was looking through the tree's at the bright, beautiful blue sky. "Hold it right there!" A deep voice shouted out towards the young saiyan. Athren lowered his vision to look at the large beast. What he saw wasn't something he had expected. This was definitely new to him, even given the time he had spent on Earth. Who would've though, he was still being surprised at the inhabitants of the planet. Athren couldn't help but smirk lightly as he stopped dead in his tracks. His arms crossed in front of his chest. This bear had stood much taller than him. It was probably four times his height and about ten times his weight. This was a situation where the bear would have assumed he had the advantage due to sheer size. Athren of course was going to prove that theory wrong. "What do you want?" Athren asked as he watched the bear thief spinning a sword around. His eyebrow arched out of curiosity. Athren couldn't help but wonder if he was on the menu for this thing too, honestly. What was it with this place? Why was he a target for a meal? He probably wouldn't have even tasted that good. The bear thief took multiple steps forward, every single step he took made a hard thud against the Earth's surface. "Human's give me heart burn but you're the meatiest thing to come by today!" It paused as it stopped a foot in front of Athren. "You will have to do!" It said as it lifted it's blade high up into the sky, he had fully intended to bring the blade down upon Athren's head. That was the quickest method of slaughter that the bear had. Though it would prove highly ineffective against a young saiyan. Especially one that was much quicker. Athren chuckled, he knew this creature wasn't strong enough to put up a decent fight. Nor was it fast enough to chase him around and give Athren some entertainment. He wasn't going to waste any time with this guy. When Athren saw the blade rise to it's highest point, Athren leaped up and forwards. His right fist shot forward and tapped the big bear right on the nose. The outcome of this was simple, it sent the bear crashing through any trees that had laid in it's path... and right towards a familiar house. Athren mumbled to himself as his feet touched the ground. "Well shit.." His eyes had now made contact with the house. It just so happened to be Tess'. This would've been the second time he was here, and it wasn't like he remembered it's exact location. Plus, this was completely unintentional. Acting as quickly as he could, Athren blasted forward. He used everything he had to speed past the large bear that had been in motion. He hit his mark in the nick of time, Athren managed to get right beside the house and turn around. This was just in time to stop the large bear from crashing through the witches house. Extending his right hand Athren let the bear collide with him. It stopped instantly and fell a couple feet to the ground with a thud. Athren on the other hand didn't move an inch. "A little too close." Though he didn't really know Tess well, he didn't want to damage her home. That wouldn't have been good.
xD Missing DB, So.. Giving a little nod to it. I know Canon characters aren't alive, but.. The hell right, maybe a bear thief could roam around wods? Ancestor? xD Anywho, Athren's now at Tess' place. He stopped the bear from crashing through her house. xD

A loud series of sounds startled Tess and King breaking the lighthearted moment, She sprinted to the side of house just in time to see a man stop a fast moving.... Flying bear? King peered around the corner, "Who the frick are you?" Tess grew nervous about a saiyan being here again, "King go inside real quick, Okay?" King flattened his ears and whipped his tail side, "Fat chance, Ma, I'm not leaving you alone with Mr. Seroids over there." Tess hid a small smile after his remark, it was true though, most sayians look like roid rage muscle builders, she glanced back over as the sayian suddenly realizing she's met this one before. "Do I know you?" she had slept for 2 days after the storm to recover, two days of sleep always seems to cause forgetfulness. She slowly walked closer and circled him as she looked up at him under long eyelahes, "Oh you were the other one," Her gaze shifted away from him as she looked around, "Is the boy with you?"

Athren stood proud and tall as he stared down at the defeated thief, it wasn't something he had expected to happen but that was the joys of Earth. It seemed like no matter what he wanted to do or what he had planned, this planet always had something else in store for him. He was surely having his fair share of adventures since he was here but this time around he was damn well trying to make the absolute best of it. He didn't want to waste the life he had been given, he felt like he did it the first time. He had a second chance, he wasn't going to let it happen again and he'd be damn sure of that.
Hearing the voice of a woman Athren looked over to see Tess once more along with another voice. He heard a comment about steroids. If he hadn't been at her place he probably would've made a smart remark about it, but it wasn't the place for it. He didn't want to be rude, especially since she had been kind the other day. Tess had now approached Athren and circled him, hell. She had even asked if she knew him. Did she honestly not remember him? It wasn't everyday that a saiyan warrior of his stature popped into a random home. Surely she had to be joking? It didn't take her long after, but she had finally put two and two together.
Athren got a light smile on his face, his right hand came up and scratched the back of his head lightly, ruffling his hair around. "Kind of surprised that you forgot about me already." He said, seriously. He wasn't that forgettable, was he? He figured he'd best remind her of his name. "It's Athren, since it sounds like you forgot." He then paused for a brief moment, his ocean blue eyes had looked down to the thief before raising back up to meet hers. He figured he'd best explain himself for what the hell was going on. If it was his home he'd surely want some sort of explanation for those actions. "Sorry to drop in like this Tess." Athren opened with an apology, he didn't know if he was taking her time away from something important or not. "Guess I hit this thing pretty hard, didn't expect him to go flying towards your place." This was all true, he didn't really have many options. If he had been fifteen yards to the left, the thief would have gone right past the house and there wouldn't have been a need for any further disturbances. Regardless, he was here now so he'd have to deal with it. Crossing his arms in front of his chest, Athren stood quite proudly. He awaited the woman's response.

"Kind of surprised that you forgot about me already." He said, seriously, Tess quickly looked down slightly ashamed her memory wasn't better, she absent mindedly toyed with her skirt, but after 2 days of sleep it's hard to remember what is a dream and what is a memory. She looked back up as he spoke, "It's Athren, since it sounds like you forgot." Tess grabbed her shoulder, "Oh yea," she smiled lightly as she followed his gaze to the bear thief, he then looked back to her, their blue eyes met momentarily before she looked away toward King, the black and white cat manage to sneak closer for a look at Athren and the bear. "Sorry to drop in like this Tess." Athren opened with an apology, "Guess I hit this thing pretty hard, didn't expect him to go flying towards your place." Tess looked around briefly, "What are you doing out here?" She still didn't actually know him or know him well, she gently hugged her self as the imposing man before her crossed his arms.
King peered up at the sayian from behind Tess's skirt, holding part of it like a shield, "He doesn't look so tough." Tess looked down at him with an arched brow, and a crooked smile. King always knew how to make her feel more comfortable, "Oh hun, Don't even start with that sass."

Athren had been asked what he was doing here, in all honesty he couldn't come up with a reasonable answer for that. Originally he did come here to train but it didn't end up being so. This place wasn't harsh enough to be a training location, it didn't provide a fighter with a rough climate either. Though it did offer the proper environment to relax and kick back. It was away from civilization, he figured it'd be quite peaceful if he perched himself up in a tree. Though, that hadn't been the case today. As of right now, the young saiyan fighter would have had a hard time coming up with a suitable answer. He didn't want to sound like he was just there to relax, but yet he didn't want to make it seem like he was out training either. He didn't want Tess being upset that he'd train so close to her home. Especially with the outcome that could have happened just moments ago. "Just out exploring, didn't expect to show up here though." It was true, Athren didn't expect to show up to her house. In fact, he hadn't remembered the exact location. He just knew that it had been somewhere in the forest, regardless. He was here now. Might as well be friendly and make the best of it. Right?
Though he had been trying to be nice, Athren also heard the cat talking. It had mentioned that he didn't look all that tough. It was kind of ironic coming from a cat. Athren couldn't help but give the small creature a stare down. Really? It wanted to push the right buttons with somebody who could literally flick his finger and kill the cat? "I'd watch what you say, Fur ball. I know somebody who could make a nice hat out of that pelt of yours." With that being said, Athren focused his attention back onto Tess. It was obvious in his eyes that he wasn't actually going to do either of them any damage, he wasn't like that. He just wasn't going to let anything put him down when he's put years into the strength that he achieved.

Tess tilted her head as Athren spoke, "Just out exploring, didn't expect to show up here though." She nudged the bear with her bare foot, "I can see that." She smiled sweetly as she debated if the bear would taste alright after being bruised, Tess looked back up as Athren responded to the cats sassy remark, "I'd watch what you say, Fur ball. I know somebody who could make a nice hat out of that pelt of yours." King dropped the piece of skirt and puffed out his white fluffy chest, "Oh yea, roid rage?" "KING!" As Tess scolded the cat, King's ears flattened apologetically when he flinched at her voice. "For the love of gaia, King go feed the plants." "But Ma I...." Tess waved her hand frantically to shoo him away, "Okay Mom," He cat hopped down on all fours and trotted away, but not without sticking his tongue out at Athren as he rounded the corner. "I'm sorry, he is too young to understand he's not as strong as he thinks." She pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. As Tess glanced over Athren she began to remember more of exactly what happened just a few days ago, she blushed lightly remembering the cold face he made.
"Did you find the special sayian you and the little one talked about?"

Athren watched as she had nudged the bear with her foot. He couldn't help but wonder what she was inspecting it for. His right eyebrow arched curiously. She wasn't planning to add it to her dinner menu, was she? Regardless, that was her business and Athren really didn't care what happened to the large, downed creature. He did pick the fight after all, Athren of course was the one to end it though. Wasn't his problem, right? While she had checked on the bears well being she had made a comment, it had seemed she didn't buy into the whole just exploring thing. Whatever she had thought of his words didn't matter, he was there now.
Athren's attention had then been taking from the beautiful blonde before him down towards the cat once more, this thing really had a big mouth didn't it? It puffed it's chest out and questions Athren's remark regarding the hat. Seriously? It was a damn cat and Athren was a saiyan. Why would it be stupid enough to challenge a saiyan warrior MUCH bigger than himself? It didn't make sense, but luckily for King, Tess had interrupted his pride. It was then when Tess had apologized to Athren, it wasn't necessary though. It wasn't her actions. It was the cats. "It's fine, I wouldn't worry about apologies over something like that."
Athren scratched the back of his head lightly with his right hand as he got asked a final question. Being asked about the super saiyan made him slightly annoyed, not because she had asked but because he couldn't find him. He had searched for hours that day and it just didn't happen. Wherever this mystery saiyan was, Athren was sure he wouldn't find him easily. Letting out a light sigh Athren looked down to the ground, his arms came down to his sides. "Nope, I couldn't find the bastard anywhere." Athren stated firmly. It was then he had to add an extra touch to his response. "But I wouldn't call that saiyan special, He isn't the only saiyan that can transform." Of course, Athren was now referring to his super saiyan form. Which is the same form claimed to have defeated Conan in battle. Though, honestly. That wouldn't take much even in a base form.

Tess half-heartily listened to the sayian's response, her eyes slowly gazed down the sayian's armor as she began to remember the sayian completely, she glanced up in time to see annoyance flash across Athren's face. The cold expression reminded her again he wasn't as aloof as he appeared, her eyes slowly traced his visible muscle definition, she felt her face warming and turned away quickly, "Well maybe you will have better luck finding him next time," She smoothed down her skirt, "I was training before you and your guest showed up,"
Tess was unsure what exactly she wanted from the sayian, the warrior races customs may repel her, but their males' physic was favorable. She wondered if they were as delicious as they looked, She glanced over at him briefly, maybe he could be an easy target, she could learn more about the race. If she could sedate him he might be easier to study, since she was still unsure about his strength and intentions.
She turned towards him slightly with a seductive smile, "Would you like to come in for milk tea? It is still so early in the day."

Athren had listed to Tess as she explained she was training before he had shown up, it was an interesting thought. Though, he had remembered she was a magic user and not a fighter like he had been. She had also mentioned that maybe he'd have better luck next time. He was hoping this was the case, he truly wanted a good fight in the near future. What better fight then a super saiyan versus a super saiyan? Regardless, this wasn't the time for this being on his mind. He was in the company of somebody he believed to be a kind person, he might as well make the most of the moment as he didn't get it very often. If he wasn't in the presents of a kind soul, he was usually relaxing by himself or training one of the saiyans that had come under his wing. "Well, I hope you're right." He said in a confident tone as he brought his ocean blue eyes back up to meet hers.
It was then that something odd had happened, she gave him a seductive smile and offered him in. Was she interested in him? Athren couldn't tell whether she was or not. She had blushed plenty when he was around her, not only that but she was giving him this smile. Athren didn't know what to make of the situation, but he wouldn't say no to joining her inside. Though he wasn't interested in tea for the simple reason he hadn't ever tried it.
Athren's response to Tess would've been a unique one. He would've lowered his eyes back to the ground as his cheeks would've turned a very faint shade of red. His right hand came up to scratch the back of his head. "Well, Uh.." If she hadn't given him that smile he most likely would've handled himself quite well. If he wasn't such a hard headed warrior, he probably would've developed better skills at holding himself together when dealing with members of the opposite sex. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. With his eyes still on the ground, Athren wouldn't given her an answer. "I guess I'll keep you company.." he paused for a brief moment. "But.. I don't want any tea.." At the moment, this girl would've been seeming him at his most vulnerable. He wasn't stern or tough, he actually wouldn't seemed somewhat shy and breakable. His cold warrior structure would've faded away. In fact, he might have looked like a teenager with his first crush. Regardless, it'd surely be amusing with however she reacted.

Tess eyes narrowed as she zoomed in on his obvious weakness against the opposite sex, luckily manipulating the opposite sex was a witch's forte, she lead the sayian back into the sunlit dinning room, where motioned for him to wait, she entered the kitchen heading straight to her sedative potions and mixtures she placed it down next to the fridge as she pulled out a can of soda, maybe he enjoyed the drink. She poured the sweet mixture into the glass of soda pop as it fizzed over the cold ice. Before walking back out she decided a pheromone perfume might come in handy, she spritz the potion on lightly, she always loved in intoxicating small and wore it a little more often than she should.
Tess smiled at the sayian as she walked out with the drink, "You said no tea, do you like soda?" she gingerly handed him the glass.

Athren had followed Tess into the dinning room where she had motioned for him to wait. His blue eyes were upon her as she walked out into the kitchen. He assumed that she was off to get herself some tea. That's why they came into the house anyway, right? While Athren waited he would've stepped forward and removed his scouter to place it down on the table, when that was done he would've backed himself up to a wall and leaned his back against it. His right foot lifted up and firmly been placed against the wall. In the process Athren had also crossed his arms tightly against his chest.
It didn't take her very long to return and when she did she had a glass of soda with her. This wasn't Athren's typical drink. He enjoyed it every now and then but when he was in his own home. He shook his head lightly before speaking. "No thanks, Soda isn't for me." At the moment she was close to him, he could smell a perfume that was quite delightful. She wasn't wearing it previously, what was she trying to do here? Get his attention in an intimate way? All of the signs she had been giving off were making Athren believed she was interested. There was no denying she was attractive but Athren didn't know her from a hole in the ground, nor did she know Athren. Currently it was all going off of looks. Athren thought about it for a moment, all the signs. She blushed frequently, she smiled seductively, she was always polite. She invited him in and put on perfume? There was definitely something going on. At the moment he couldn't help but arch his right eyebrow, he was curious. He figured asking a simple question might help the situation. "Might I ask why you decided to put perfume on?" Some women might have gotten offended at this question but Athren didn't know any better. The woman he spent the most time with was a fighter and she was long gone. He didn't get far with her, she never put on perfume or tried to pretty herself up for him. She was just being herself all the time. Damn, He just didn't understand women at all. Why did they have to be so complicated? While Athren awaited his answer, he would've brought his blue eyes to look upon hers.

Tess set the glass down behind her on the table, realizing she would have better luck being more hands on. The sayian seemed to notice the almost odorless perfume, "Might I ask why you decided to put perfume on?" She brought her hand up to her breast, "I don't like to smell especially after training," She wondered if sayians even worried about much hygiene at all, Tess stumbled on a loose floorboard as she approached him, clumsily falling into him her large chest pressed against him as she looked up with genuine surprise. He was alot taller than she initially thought, as she stood a mere 5ft tall, she let out a small nervous laugh as she pushed herself back a little, "Sorry, I really need to fix that floorboard...." looked up at him with glowing crystal blue eyes under dark long eyelashes, her cheeks flushed as she looked away.
With a flushed face she rose up on her tip toes, her lips close to his ear, "restringo," in a almost inaudible whisper, He would begin to feel restrained and hard to move, hopefully the powerful word spell could subdue him
