How long had it been since the invasion had ended? Although it had been at least several weeks the amount of work that had piled up with the aid Avalon provided the refugees was immense, to the point that Reikiko had barely been able to enjoy a well-earned rest. It was on this particular day, a day that Reikiko had chosen to spend within the tranquil landscape of the Bamboo Forest that the Homunculus had prepared a special objective of sorts. She knew that Kaula had already recovered from the injuries she had suffered during the clash against Zucceta and her mother, a fight that certainly wouldn't have been easy for her to shoulder. Certainly, she was a powerful warrior in her own right, but how would Kaula carry the emotional burden of opposing the very civilization she had been born in so many years ago?
Perhaps it was out of concern that Reikiko had invited Kaula over to a rather nostalgic location: the small cottage on top of the cliff overlooking most of the Bamboo Forest, and also the place her master's grave had been located at. Of course she had multiple reasons for inviting the girl over, not just because she missed the presence of her lover, but also because there were some important things she would need to discuss.
With the recent success in restoring Hikari's health a lot of things had happened that demanded a conversation, not just between herself and Kaula, but also Hikari. In the end Reikiko was going to make a decision that likely would astonish the two of them. In the end who would even dare to dream that Reikiko's cleansed powers would have influenced her in such a strong way? To the point that she would even consider retiring from the martial arts world as a whole once she finished training a new generation. Insecure, that was what she was right now. The haunting thoughts that everyone aside from a handful of people saw her only as a monster who loved to spread chaos and murder in cold blood. However, the memories of her crimes of the past, of how she absorbed those innocent citizens of West Capitol to obtain enough power to challenge a greater evil... they still plagued her and made her realize that whenever she entered the battlefield death and destruction followed. However, what was even more tragic was the fact that martial arts had such a strong importance to her. It made her meet so many people, learn so many things... And yet, were the good things enough of a reason to justify the evil parts that accompanied her existence?
A soft sigh escaped her parted lips as she remained seated beside a large bag, seemingly resting against the tree stump she had used as a chair. She had some additional plans, an idea that would surely surprise Kaula, but it was an idea that she had decided to try after a recent experiment involving her growing magical talents. But before she would think about those things she would wait for Kaula to arrive. In the end Hikari herself was likely still going to need a bit before she'd get to this location, likely due to the paperwork she was filling in right now. The poor girl was still trying to help Cipher manage the Blue Banner Army's documents ever since Vipoi became 'inactive' so to speak.
