[current PL at 20k] "Junk... Junk... More junk..." Kari-Ko sighed in annoyance as she picked what must have easily been her tenth pile of debris in the broken heap that was once known as a city. She and her companion, Sake Nigiri were still stranded on planet Vegeta since they didn’t have money for ship parts they needed. The blonde-haired young woman wasn’t having much luck when it came to finding work, either. Hell, of course she wasn’t having any luck in that department! This planet was inhabited by a bunch of muscle-bound racist assholes! What kind of paying jobs could they possibly have to offer for an off-worlder who normally took odd jobs that involved her looks or her combat skills? Not any jobs that had even the smallest shred of dignity to them, anyway. Kari-Ko was irritated and heavily inconvenienced. She was nowhere near desperate. At least Sake didn’t have much issues finding work being the brainy type. That was something. The Ryashi continued to gingerly pick through the worthless junk that she had been focusing on. With each piece of trash that she haphazardly tossed aside, her eyebrow kept twitching more and more until she couldn’t take it anymore. "Augh!" she growled out in frustration. Kari-Ko grit her teeth and brought her red, muscular tail around to smack the pile of debris she had been trying to pick though. Bits and pieces of scrap scattered all across the desolate road. This place must have been picked through at least a million times! There probably wasn’t anything left that was worth so much as spare change! Still seething, Kari-Ko coiled her tail around her and glared out at the horizon. She drummed her pointed fingernails absentmindedly on her ruby scales as she tried to think. There had to be something better for her to do than dig through the trash to try to make a buck. She couldn’t exactly laze around the ship all day either. Sake was guaranteed to bitch at her were she to try.

[PL reads as 1,186,785 For anyone with a scouter]
It wasn't really that odd to see people poking around the ruins. But it was odd to see one of them well... he wasn't quite sure what it was he was seeing. Icarus perched on a old building top not far off. A small back pack slung on over his shoulder. Some of the good stuff within it from one of his hidden labs within the ruins. It always baffled him this idea people had. Coming to the ruins scavenging. Or if she wasn't scavenging she must have had some weird fetish for diseases given playing around in the filth an rust of the old rubble couldn't have been good for organics in the least. But he was never one for the abrupt entrance. Taking a few moments to get a proper reading of power modest enough really. Nothing weak though she did stick out as a rather strong girl. Surprising a bit... He was only able to get sub par scans though from so far off. The bone structure of her tail though was just... amazing in some ways. The muscle structure as well. He was looking over several images of internal scanning but would shove them aside for later. Maybe he could add them to the archives later if this race wasn't already recorded in them. If it was it was most certainly a race he'd missed when reaching up on the empires files.
He'd more appropriately secure his backpack onto his shoulder and with a leap walk off the building and well his propulsers and flight working with his body as the bottom of boots shot out a small stream of flames and jet powered rockets. Letting him quickly and in agile from quickly make his way down to the street to the strange specimen. Almost curious if it was in fact a specimen. He'd heard of the... saibamen incident. Had to keep his elixirs under lock and key no to avoid further accidents you know. with a rather more heavy sounding clunk then would have been expected the four foot five man made a metal like sound when his feet roughly smacked onto the street. The old pavement crumbling a bit underfoot. Once again curious what she was after... The only surviving labs he knew of with anything of value were locked up tight and hidden from prying eyes. He made sure of that. It was hard to believe people valued some of the garbage people took from this city now. If only they'd seen the city in their prime. They'd have gotten some real value back then. "I should warn you... there are several types of bacteria and disease ridden filth on that rubbish you are pillaging through..." He'd say in a rather droll tone. A simple expression on his face still a little surprised at seeing anyone out here. But given his recent days something other then saiyan conversation might have been just the ticket to alleviate some of what ailed his mind of late. Or at least would aid in passing the time before he had to get back to the labs.
"What may I ask is it you are doing anyway? If you are one of the 'treasure hunter' like I've seen prior. I would like to remind you this place has been dead for nearly if not over two thousand years. Its like vultures picking at bones at this point. If not forgive my assumptions on your intentions." Some what polite and kind. Even if he lacked the proper way of greeting the stranger. He wasn't really one for formal meetings but he was polite and had manners at least. His saiyan tail swaying behind him freely and his white lab coat worn snugly over his body suit and boots underneath, Making sure to cling close to his shoulder bag.

Kari-Ko rubbed her left temple and shook her head slowly. What a massive waste of time! She wasn’t sure whether to be more pissed off at the fact that she had been rooting through a trash heap and come up with nothing more than trash(go figure), or that she honestly couldn’t think of a way that she could have better spent her time in her current situation. Of all the planets they had to go and get stranded on, why did it have to be this one?! Seriously! What kind of higher power had she rubbed the wrong way to deserve this?! The Ryashi had half a mind to throw her hands up and squeeze herself into one of the broken ship’s escape pods. Forget Sake and her argument that they couldn’t fit much of their supplies in the pods; Kari-Ko didn’t care anymore!
In the midst of grumbling obscenities under her breath, the blonde off-worlder’s pointed ears twitched as the sound of a distant clunking noise reached them. This was followed by footsteps heading in her direction. It would appear that she wasn’t alone in this depressing setting. Though, the fact that she couldn’t sense the power level of whoever was approaching bugged her. Kari-Ko could even sense the kiddos running around on this planet just fine. That meant that whoever was coming towards her was masking their strength and might have been gearing up for a fight. Oh goody...
The Ryashi looked up, still quite visibly annoyed; she instantly spotted what she assumed was a Saiyan man running towards her. Did she really have to bother with him right now? As much as a scuffle would have been a decent chance at blowing off some steam, she seriously wasn’t up for it right now. To Kari-Ko’s surprise, she saw once he got close enough that he didn’t hold himself in a hostile manner. His tone when he spoke was flat as well. ”Then I guess it’s my lucky day. Here I thought I’d be going back empty handed,” Kari-Ko remarked sarcastically, raising an eyebrow at the man. She wasn’t exactly sure what to make of him yet. ”If I get sick, then at least I’ve got an excuse to lie around and not get nagged at by my companion.”
The young woman sat back on her tail and crossed her arms over her chest, narrowing her eyes at the man as he talked about the ruins. She was still irritated at the lack of progress she had made towards a full ship repair, but at least she could relax a bit for the moment. If there was one good thing she could say about Saiyans it’s that they weren’t subtle. If this guy wanted to brawl with her then he would have just come out and said it. Or he would have thrown the first punch already. ”You’ve got it, Sugar. I was hoping to make some cash by finding something even remotely valuable. I didn’t realize that this place had been so thoroughly picked over already. Kinda puts a dent in my plans for the day,” Kari-Ko sighed, flicking the tip of her tail back and forth lazily.
”So how about you then? If this place is so devoid of anything worth snatching up, what brings you out here?” The man’s lack of aggression had piqued Kari-Ko’s curiosity a wee bit. It didn’t even cross her mind that she was speaking to a non-Saiyan though. After all, he looked like a duck. He lived in the pond like a duck. But why wasn’t he quacking like a duck? And why was it that she found the Earth animals that Sake had shown her so easy to draw comparisons with?

She had a interesting if not odd response. Using the sickness as a excuse to laze about Icarus picking up rather quickly the impression she wasn't exactly the most calm and collected sorts. Rather... odd. Her snake figure an lower body did catch his eyes momentary scans performed here and there to try and gather proper data for study later. Good looking as well for whatever she was. It was always nice to meet strange new races. The only sad part about it was knowing he'd likely not be able to get any dna specimens from this one. It had no connections to the empire or his scans would have picked up some form of identification by now. Sadly it would just have to wait till he encountered another of her kind most likely. "I suppose thats one way to look at it. But I would think staying disease free would be a more intelligent goal." So she was a treasure hunter. He couldn't say he was surprised. People always went to old ruins for treasure. Which seemed odd given they were in fact just ruins now nothing more. Nothing of value had passed through this city in centuries. Its prime long since gone and only grime and rust remaining.
He'd switch his pack from one shoulder to the other. Readjusting the weight a few samples and various tech inside he as moving from one of the labs back to the palace. Some tech hidden in one of his hidden caches throughout the ruins. Locked away with various things put in place to make them hard to chance upon. "Well I know of some things within the ruins. I have my secrets. It pays to know the layout an what lays in wait where within its eroded walls. But I'm afraid for anyone else you aren't likely to find anything of value I'm afraid. I myself though am simply requiring some of my trinkets from within the city. I shall take them to the capital. You aren't from around here are you? You don't look like a race I'm familiar with... If you'd forgive me for pointing that out." He'd speak calmly and in a collected tone and fashion. Looking her over at her odd clothing and her tail still baffling him. Curious if she was cold blooded perhaps. His lab coat and analyzing eyes likely giving of the look of a scientist or doctor if the girl watched him long enough. Closing the gap between them more as he'd allow his tail to sway lightly behind him. She seemed friendly enough as he'd also allow a small warm smile friendly as it was to creep onto his lips. Although perhaps if he was lucky it would be some nice conversation to come more so at least then he often got from the saiyans back in the capital and home.

”Well, I’m not exactly known for my intelligence,” Kari-Ko replied flippantly with a shrug of her shoulders. She was dealing with one of those incredibly literal types, wasn’t she? His clothing seemed to point to that too. Oh well, it could have been worse. ”Of course it would suck if whatever diseases this place is crawling with ended up affecting me. It’s not like I’m doing much else though. There isn’t much call for hired muscle on a planet filled with nothing but... well... muscle.”
The man went on to talk about how he had his own little stashes of goodies tucked away in various places around here. So there was still some good stuff left? That made it even worse if she simply couldn’t find it! Something told her that batting her eyelashes flirtatiously at the gentleman wasn’t going get him to spill any info, so she decided to skip it. There wasn’t going to be anything for her in this ruined city. She wasn’t going to push it.
”Aww, and here I thought I was blending in. Maybe I should start wearing my hair down from now on. My ears seem to be a dead giveaway,” the blonde young woman facetiously lamented, motioning to her pointed ears while the tip of her tail continued to lazily swish back and forth through the dirt. ”You hit the nail on the head there. I’m a Ryashi. I got stranded here with my companion a while back thanks to our ship malfunctioning. The parts we need to fix it aren’t exactly cheap, either. Otherwise, you wouldn’t catch me dead slithering around such a trash heap. I don’t know what this city did to piss you Saiyans off. Though, from what I’ve seen from some of your kind so far, one of the buildings could have just looked at something funny. Whatever it was, you guys sure had a field day here.”
Kari-Ko stretched her arms leisurely over her head and let out a yawn, exposing her stubby fangs. Her stay on Vegeta so far had been far too taxing on her mental state for her liking. Right now she could have seriously done with an oversized glass of Grellian wine and a long nap in the sun. Unfortunately, she had access to neither of these things at the moment. At least the conversation had been nice enough so far. She had even gotten a smile out of him. Not a prideful smirk, either. They didn’t count anymore after all of those she had seen so far. ”So what’s your story, Sugar? Not once have you glared at me or made any snide remarks about my lack of Saiyan features. There wouldn’t happen to be more of you hidden away somewhere, would there?”

Icarus cleared his throat at the intelligence comment. Not really sure if she meant it quite how it sounded. Considering commenting on it but deciding it better to think against it. "Sadly you are correct. Most are more in the line of mercenary or military work. There is more then a abundance of fighters of several calibers and variety on this planet. The queen herself has quite the selection in her vanguard as well. At least those that remain..." Briefly pausing considering there was likely a lack there of as well of fine fit soldiers. Or at least a much lower number then there was prior. Man had fallen on earth and likely only the best and strongest had survived. It would likely take time before the numbers were properly replenished among the army and its forces.
He mentally recorded the species name. Remembering it for later to try and possibly look up for more data on the race. A new mystery to take study in with his free time for seeking knowledge. "Interesting... an if I had to guess the tail is a bigger giveaway you aren't from around here then the ears.. Heh. Oh... but as for this city... It's been this way for quite some time now. It... was once quite the grand sight to see. Its truly a loss for it to be gone to us now... But nothing good lasts forever as they say." Taking in a heavy breath and exhaling there shortly after. Feeling a heavy sensation that he quickly tried to mentally shake from himself. He didn't want to let his mind worry into the past. It was a topic and subject that wouldn't lead to anything good. The past was where it was and best left there.
He gave light wide eyes at her fangs after closing the gap between them quite a bit now. His mouth hanging open lightly and eyes a little surprised. He wasn't much of a fighter and it was surprising seeing them. But he shouldn't have been surprised. It only made sense given her figure and features she'd have such natural defenses. Even if the rest of her suggested her looks might have also been what she used more so to get what she wanted. But that was just a shot in the dark of a guess as well. Momentary assumptions until he had proper information to fill in the blanks.
"My story? UM well... I'm just of a different sort I guess you could say. I prefer to be a little more proper and postured then my comrades back in the capital. I actually prefer the company of most under races in the caste system. I was never found of saiyans truth be told. But a few do hold my loyalty and attention. I am....a man of science in the capital. A official and adviser to our queen. Or at least I believe I still am.... As for ship problems. Might I ask what exactly is wrong with it? I am skilled in several forms of tech and countless other works. I am... akin to machinery you could say." His eyes looking over her briefly. A light blush visible as close as he was now. He may have been a android but he still had sensations and emotions like anyone else. Gulping lightly likely not yet realizing his synthetic skin was showing off the blush.

Kari-Ko sat back on her tail as she listened to the man confirm her problems. Isn’t that basically what she had just said? Well... it sure was a good thing that this Saiyan had come along so she could make sure her life sucked! Otherwise Kari-Ko would have surely spent countless hours slithering around this dump in utter confusion! Was this planet crap? Did its racist citizens really not need any of her talents? How could she be sure?! She didn’t know which higher power to thank for this stroke of luck that had descended upon her! Her life was finally complete!
Yes, Kari-Ko was still in a bad mood...
The Ryashi was halfway through rolling her eyes at the man’s observation when the next thing he said caused her to stop completely and bury her face in the palm of her hand. She had already gathered that this guy wasn’t one for sarcasm, but seriously?! Of course her tail was the big giveaway! ”You don’t say...” was all she could seem to mumble in response. What she had failed to notice was how much closer he was getting to her. Upon looking up again, Kari-Ko saw him staring at her mouth with a fascinated gaze. ”What’s the matter? See something you like, Sugar?” she teased him before curling back her upper lip and showing them off again. Much like the rest of her appearance, Kari-Ko took pride in making sure her teeth looked fantastic.
The blonde young woman closed her mouth again and let out a sigh when the term ‘under race’ was mentioned. She had heard it a few times during her stay on Vegeta and it was one of the many thing about the planet that irritated her. Did she look ‘under class’ to these assholes? ”You mean some Saiyans actually turn out to be scientists? I guess if you’re not into combat or demeaning other species, it makes sense to want to put as much distance between you and them as possible. You’d have nothing to talk about,” she scoffed with a dismissive shrug of her shoulders. Hell, she was into one of those topics, and even she felt that way. ”If you want to know about what’s wrong with the ship, you’re going to have to ask my partner. She’s the brains of our little duo. All I know is that a couple of important parts are damaged beyond repair and that I’m not supposed to touch anything.”
Kari-Ko then caught the man eyeing her form yet again. Was this part of him being some sort of big shot scientist? That was her initial thought. That is, until she noticed a familiar red tinge spread over his cheeks. Was she actually making him blush? Score! Maybe she could use this to her advantage. ”Say Sugar, you wouldn’t happen to know a place where I could pick up some ship parts at a discount, would you? You’d be doing little ‘ol me a biiiiiig favor. The way other Saiyans treat other species can be really hard on a girl, you know?” Kari-Ko purred, trying to pour on the charm. She batted her eyelashes, trying to pull off the ‘damsel in distress’ look. The tip of her tail started tracing slow circles in the dirt that had collected on the street over the years.

Shade was furious, he had found no one on Vegeta that was willing to either fight him or was a match for him. He however did not find the android from when he first landed upon Vegeta. Not yet anyways, Shade was flying towards the old ruins within the wasteland in order to fight the android. How else was he suppose to get more powerful? Shade knew he had to fight stronger opponents to gain more power, he wanted the adrenaline rush that came with fighting someone stronger than he was. Since he was freed from enslavement in one of the Arcosian Colosseums he had found no joy in fighting, every single being he fought since than was either too weak, or wouldn’t lift a finger to defend themselves. It made him even more furious, now he was hoping this android would actually fight him instead of putting the mighty warrior off.
Upon reaching the intended spot where the Android was, Shade noticed something else. It was a Ryashi, a cute one as well. ‘Haven’t fought one of them in over ten years. This should be fun,’ he thought while a grin surfaced on his face. Using the scouter and his senses he would detect the Ryashi being at his exact power level. Grinning even more, Shade would drop down from the sky making sure he was at the exact center between the snake and the Android. Looking between them, he had heard the last snippets of conversation between them. “Y'r charms won't graft on him, Ryashi. He's a robot,” he would say while cracking his knuckles slowly. “Midget Robot, fight me. Oth’r than you, no one on t’is rock is a match for me, aside from the Ryashi,” he would continue.
Shade was bored, he needed a fight that he knew he would lose but that’s fine. As long as he got stronger for it, it doesn’t bother him. The saiyan only wanted to feel the rush of combat even if it was against someone so much more powerful than he was. Power Level: 20,000|Arrived and challenged the Midget Robot KP: 3/3

He'd blink a moment when she showed off her fangs again. Speaking in a rather interesting tone. Caught a little off guard and lost for words momentarily. "I..W-well...I mean." Unsure how to take it. He was never good with situations like this. Nor anything that couldn't be simple or calculated. Seemingly momentarily lost in reaction trying to consider what to say. Clearly preferring to have a proper answer when he spoke and made observation. But he only found himself clearing his throat and his cheeks reacting via a program to pick up on his emotions from brain signals. Making his blush redden again. His body was supposed to simulate organics to a realistic degree. He was still a man in a mechanical body after... But still a man. At this close when she spoke like that again he found himself a little more influenced then he expected to be. "W-well... I'm a special case... An I suppose we could arrange something for cost? There are plenty of shops in town? But as I said I could possible repair something for you? I have a special akin ship with technology you could say... I also come from a very tech oriented heritage." Given as far as he'd seen so far his Tuffle brethren were still far more advanced or well had been then most things he'd seen even now. It only made him sigh again to consider how advanced they may have been if they still lived even today.
"I'd be interesting helping...It's rare to find good company here. So I wouldn't mind lending a hand to one as sweet as you." He'd offer the compliment with a warm grin. Besides his blush he looked the image of manners and well posture though. his clothes and stature making him look like a albeit short dignified sorta saiyan. When quite out of nowhere however a saiyan appeared... wanting to fight? Icarus blinked several times his mouth hanging open lightly as if he was once again caught off guard. This man must have been away for some time... If he didn't know who Icarus was it only made sense perhaps he was one of the ones off on missions perhaps for a long period of time or something to openly challenge him. Or maybe one of Natto's allies? No that didn't make sense... Especially after what the recordings of the war had revealed. "My Ryashi friend... No perhaps you understand why I value such kind company? An... I don't really enjoy combat. I am a official of the empires upper class and a leader in the research and development section of things. I'm not really that much of a combative type..." Rolling his eyes as the challenge given his scans weren't picking up a power level to be warned about. But besting a warrior did no one any good... It just wounded ones pride and Icarus would possibly earn a new enemy. He usually wasn't one to throw the first blow either way. Still standing there with his arms crossed behind his back looking past the warrior leading to one side to look closer at his interesting new friend. "I'm gonna go on a limb here and also figure this isn't the partner you referred too... Is this person nearby? I'd love a conversation with a technical mind." the idea of combat quickly getting ignored as he'd rather enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation over ship parts and possible fix this womans ship. Tech gave him the joys that fighting gave to saiyans.

Kari-Ko couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle as the blushing man fumbled with his words. The serious ones were always the most entertaining to watch when she had them wrapped around her little finger. She was definitely getting the result she had been hoping for. If the Ryashi could get the man to fix the ship for free, she would be ecstatic. Cost was pretty good too if that much wasn’t manageable though. ”You sure are, Sugar. You know how to treat a girl,” she cooed at him with a wink. Now all she had to do was convince Sake to let a Saiyan poke and prod around the ship’s engine. That probably wouldn’t be too difficult with what she had seen of him so far.
It looked like the Ryashi was just about to seal the deal and return to the capitol with her new friend when she was given an unneeded reminder of why she wanted to get off of planet Vegeta so much. Kari-Ko sensed an incoming energy signature that matched her own heading towards their position shortly before another Saiyan dropped out of the sky and declared that her charms weren’t going to work on him and that he was here for a fight. Her left eyebrow began to twitch uncontrollably as she looked over the new guy with disgust. It was going just fine until whoever the hell this guy thought he was decided to ruin the party! ”Excuse me?! Why don’t you do everyone a favor and piss off?!” she seethed, her demeanor changing quite a bit thanks to the uninvited guest.
With her bad mood back in full swing, it actually took a few moments for his words to sink in. Robot? Kari-Ko glanced back momentarily at the Saiyan she had been flirting with, who didn’t look all that happy to see the newcomer either. So he wasn’t a real Saiyan then? That actually made a lot more sense in regards to his demeanor. Could robots blush though? The young woman shook her head. You know what? Who cared if he was a robot? He had been the first somewhat decent conversational partner she had found since first crash landing, and her charms HAD been working on him. What difference did it make? If nothing else, it would mean that Sake would be more willing to work with him.
She crossed her arms over her chest, giving the newcomer the stink eye as her new mechanical friend declined his challenge. ”Of course not. She’s back in the capitol, probably doing something... smart,” Kari-Ko scoffed, almost insulted that it would even be considered that she would partner with someone like the guy that had just shown up. She honestly had no idea what Sake did with her time when the fox girl didn’t have her nose stuck in a book. ”Ta-ta, Snookums,” she spoke to the Saiyan, waving her hand at him dismissively. He appeared to be the only thing standing in the way of them and getting the ship fixed. Hopefully he would take the hint.

With a flicker of speed Icarus would move himself from behind the warrior to in front of him. Icarus's reactors gave him power to move rather fast and immediately when needed. It would appear almost instantaneous depending how well the warriors could keep up of course. "Its more of I prefer to treat the non saiyans that come here with some respect and kindness. I enjoy making friends where as most my fellow officials aren't as kind as I. Such is the ways of living among a warrior race I presume. An pity your friend is busy as you say. I'm sure I would found her company quite entertaining as well." He'd say in a polite tone. He did like being the one lucky enough to be first on the scene when it came to the nonsaiyans in the empire and visitors as well.
Just as when he'd got to meet Bing and the pale android from earth it really widened ones views to get to have conversation that went beyond the expansion of weapons and past battles. It was also nice practice given it could more easily ensure safety. Even with most the top warriors away for now. Although he was curious about this friend of hers. If she could handle the capital then maybe they weren't as defenseless as he was first expected. "Occasionally getting to see new tech and what not is kinda a hobby of mine anyway. And as you can imagine being of a high standing I don't really find myself in great need for payment... Do you know any specifics of the problems perhaps? Did you friend share any of the details with you perhaps?" Treating the situation as if it was any other day and a minor task for a friend. Smiling with only mild emotion in his expressions. Even if he was still lightly pink in the cheeks he was curious if the possibility of offering a little aid to a person in need could still be salvaged.

Kari-Ko looked dumbfounded as the supposedly robotic Saiyan seemed to blink in and out of existence for a split second. First he was behind the unwanted third party, and then he was in front of him? That was some crazy speed he was packing! The Ryashi guessed that it was all the more reason to be glad that he wasn’t your average barbarian like most of the Saiyans she had encountered so far. ”You said it, Sugar. They’ve been giving me suuuuch a hard time since I got here,” she confirmed, slithering her way around the other Saiyan to catch up. Her voice had regained its previous flirtatious tone.
Thankfully he seemed to have quieted down. That was a relief. Kari-Ko had a good thing going for her and she didn’t need anyone stepping in and ruining it for her! ”Don’t you worry about my little friend, Sugar. I’ll talk to her as soon as we get back to the capitol. She’ll be more than happy to make time for someone as sweet as you,” Kari-Ko insisted, ending her words with a girlish chuckle. She knew that she was giving Sake a bit too much credit when it came to dealing with people. She was sure that the fox girl would find it refreshing to meet another of those intelligent types, but there was no getting around the fact that she was one of the most antisocial people she had ever met!
”I’m afraid not. Sake doesn’t really let me mess with the engine.
