His heel strike hit hard and sent the boy downwards, but before he hit the ground, he had already recovered and came flying back towards Natto, making the saiyan widen his smile. This time, before he approached the smile had a quite honestly happy tone, but as Raisu approached, he made once again an effort to turn it into a more mischievously looking affected smirk. Raisu’s saiyan blood was in affect and he even said that wanted Natto to fight at his fullest potential, and that made him chuckle a bit. ”If only he knew… But let’s play it rough!” he decided, staring at him as he approached screaming his words.
Before he could throw his attack, Raisu could feel an abrupt raise in the saiyan warrior’s power level as he showed himself to be twice as strong as he was before.
[Ki Suppression On. Current PL: 80.000]
When Raisu got close, he tried to claw his right eye with his open palm. In Natto’s perspective, he moved in slow motion due to the sheer difference in speed and, even though Natto was using less than a third of his real power, he was already fast enough to counter that attack again. Once again, a second before he could manage to hit, he crouched in the air, dodging the attack in a swift motion and immediately after that, he pushed himself up, aiming to throw an extremely powerful headbutt to the hybrid’s chin. His attack was skillful again and twice as powerful as his previous attacks.
Once again, his goal was to hit him in a way that wouldn’t take him out or make him faint, but with maximum painful effect in mind; he wanted it to hurt, not to incapacitate, and he was really capable of focusing his attacks into doing that.
Should it connect:
If succeeded on his counter, he would laugh out loud. – Hahahaha! How does it feel like, bug?! My power level is eighty thousand! That’s my full strength! You cannot even dream to best me! Hahaha! – he said in an extremely arrogant tone. As Raisu closed the distance between him and the Saiyan, the pressure on his mind grew. The Saiyan’s ki signature grew even larger. Was he finally seeing the Saiyan’s true power? Perhaps. All Raisu knew is that the swelling in his chest grew as he approached the Saiyan. This would be good. Fun even. They’d be pretty evenly matched if Raisu took off his weights. But that wasn’t going to happen. Raisu wouldn’t go that far. He wore these weights for a reason. It was training and training was important if he was going to match the Empire Saiyans.
In a flash, the Saiyan crouched, dodging Raisu’s blow. How could he move so fast? Was the Saiyan still hiding his full power? How dare he hide his full power? Raisu had even said to unleash his full power. Dammit, Raisu wanted to fight this guy at full strength. It was insulting that this guy wasn’t fighting at his full capacity.
The Saiyan shot up like a rocket, head moving like a bullet. It crashed into Raisu’s chin like a rock. Pain shot all through his head. Damn, this guy his hard. Raisu might not last much longer if this kept up. Raisu tried to keep himself from flying away, through sheer force of will. If he was quick about it, Raisu might be able to counter.
Quickly, Raisu brought up his own fist, intending to smash the Saiyan’s nose with his fist. This was his best chance to catch the Saiyan off-guard. He just wanted to hurt the guy at least once. If he could do that, he was willing to call it a victory of his. That was a good goal for himself, especially when faced with an opponent of such a caliber. But hey, he was enjoying it. Even if he was in danger. KP: 2/3
Took the hit, but it attempting to counter immediately. Raisu isn't in good shape.

That hybrid was determined, Natto had to give him that. He was beyond the point of being reckless, he just kept coming towards the inevitable defeat. Dammit! Natto wasn’t even using his full power nor his arms in this fight, but that didn’t fright him. ”I can respect your guts, but you are being suicidal.” Natto thought, sighing a little bit, as he saw Raisu use all his power not to fly away much further in order to get back into the fight. After the attack, Natto just stared at his foe. His face became quite serious as he was done with the roleplay and ready to speak with him; he already saw what Raisu felt about the saiyans… He was willing to throw his life away in order to be able to battle one in such a reckless way that he didn’t even took of his weight. ”You are lucky you found me, boy…” he thought.
”That’s it. I’ve had enough.” Natto decided as he saw the hybrid coming for another blow. Natto closed his eyes and let go of all his ki suppression, letting his power level skyrocket to the astonishing amount of 314.558. It was probably the most absurd and high power that Raisu had ever felt on his whole life. It was still unknown to the young saiyan warrior, but right now he was the strongest being on the whole universe.
Anyway. The saiyan just stood there and allowed himself to be punched right on the face. It didn’t hurt much, just a little discomfort on his nose, but not enough to break it due to the huge abyss on their power level, which was only enhanced by Raisu’s weights. – Okay, play time is over. Now you know what you are dealing with, right? – his tone was a serious now, and he didn’t smile anymore. Natto was about to revel the truth, but first he wanted to see how the hybrid boy would react to his sheer power. That would tell a lot about him. Something was wrong. The Saiyan’s ki signature rose rapidly, to an almost mind boggling height. Was this his true base power? If so, Raisu was in a world of trouble. But by Kami, his fist was still headed for the Saiyan’s nose. And to his great satisfaction, this fist collided with the Saiyan’s nose. Raisu didn’t even care that he didn’t do any real damage. His heart soared when his fist made contact. Where was this guy’s fancy dodging now? Raisu could die satisfied now, knowing he’d at least hit the guy. Well, perhaps not die.
The Saiyan seemed confident just because of his power. Raisu knew that he was standing face to face with the most powerful man he had ever encountered. He even beat out Jarvis, and Raisu had thought the blue-haired Saiyan to be pretty strong. Raisu’s entire body set to shaking. Not out of fear, but out of excitement. His Saiyan blood was running full force through his veins now. Never before had he encountered such power. His breathing became erratic and his mind was electric in this moment. So this was the true power of a Saiyan? Good. Raisu knew what he had to look forward too.
“So, this is your full power? Good. Now I know what I have to beat!”
Raisu smirked through this, despite the pain swelling in his body. The Saiyan may have done a number on him, but he wasn’t going to let it stop him.
“Because I’m going to just keep getting stronger. And stronger. And then one day, people like you will look at Earth and shudder because people like me are here protecting it!”
Raisu spoke through this all with confidence. Sure, there was some small part of him that feared the man, but what was the use of being scared in the face of such overwhelming force? If he was already this close, he’d already flown in the face of fear and death. No point in shaking in his boots, hoping to avoid conflict.

”This guy… Is insane!” that was the only thing he could think of after what Raisu had said. He thought that he could beat Natto with… Well… Nothing but will power? That was more than crazy! Natto had never met a guy as reckless and thrill seeker as that hybrid boy standing right in front of him, and that made him feature a quite puzzled expression.
– Seriously?! – he asked in disbelief. If he was actually meaning that, than he knew no fear, or, if he did, he just didn’t care about his life at all. Then, Raisu said that he was going to get stronger and stronger, and that one day people would shudder before even thinking about invading Earth, because he would be there to protect. Quite a big dream, but Natto started exactly like that, only he wanted to protect Vegeta and his race instead. He sighed, feeling like he could sympathize with Raisu’s ideals, but he had to know that will power alone wouldn’t make the impossible possible.
Natto folded his arms and his expression became quite serious. – Well, lucky for you I’m not an enemy of your planet now. – he spoke with an honest tone. Natto was, indeed, an enemy before, but he had a change of heart during the battle of South Capitol. – I lied to you, Raisu. I’m Natto… And I’m no longer commander of anything. I don’t know what you know about the battle at South Capitol, but I defected from the Saiyan Empire during the initial part of the invasion. I was… Misled… In some sorts… And I played this role of evil saiyan so that I could try and understand your feelings towards our race. – he said, shrugging a little bit. – Truth be told, I’m trying to understand what drives the saiyans and half-saiyans that live here… I want to see if there’s a different side of our kin. – Natto was curious towards Raisu’s reaction to those words he just spoke. The Saiyan looked at him, puzzled. Had Raisu surprised him? Did he not think Raisu would stand his ground in the face of such overwhelming force? Well, Raisu’s mixed blood demanded that he stand his ground. He was a son of Earth. He wouldn’t cower here. It was unbecoming of him to do so. Backing down was not only a sign of weakness for him, but a sign of weakness for all of Earth. Raisu hoped he had surprised the Saiyan. And evidently, he had. Seriously? Yes, seriously. Raisu was stronger than he ever was before. And he wouldn’t give an invader the satisfaction of sending him running.
The Saiyan folded his arms and spoke. His tone was different now, less cocky, less harsh. And the words he said surprised Raisu. It had not been what he was expecting. The man claimed he wasn’t an enemy. Raisu was tempted to laugh at him. It wasn’t like he believed him. Who could believe a Saiyan?
And then the man dropped a bomb: he was Natto. The one who had led the invasion of South Capitol. The person who had tried to destroy Raisu’s home. Raisu remembered the day of the invasion. He’d ran into the edges of the city after Chaz and Ibby then. Too think he’d come close to such power and he hadn’t even realized it at the time. Fantastic. He’d come face to face with man he wanted to hurt more than anyone.
And it was almost hilarious. He had the nerve to say that he was no longer a commander of anything, like that absolved him of responsibility. Like it meant he could cast off the shackles of his crimes and escape justice. But raisu had to admit, it did shock him. Hell, it even took him out of his battle mind. Not everyday that one has a revelation like this. Natto wanted to understand his Earthling kin? Well, Raisu could tell him a few things.
“So, you’re Natto? Not too long ago, I met a guy who warned me about you. Said you might say stuff like this. And honestly? I still feel like trying to break your neck, even if you’re acting all nice now. But you can’t blame me for that, eh? If anyone is to blame, it’s you and your kind?”
Raisu snorted with derision.
“You want to know what drives us? Well, I can’t speak for all us, but I think you’ve already seen what drives me. You were at South Capitol. Hell, you led the invasion on South Capitol. That’s my home. I grew up there. Almost everything precious to me in this world was there. The people I loved were there. And now they might be dead because of you. You have a lot of nerve, you know? Asking what drives me, but I’ll tell you. See, I came back to watch South Capitol go down. Call me sentimental, but I needed the closure in my life. There I saw things. Horrible things. Giant apes, fire, ash, people dead and people dying. It tore my freaking heart in half.”
Raisu continued his rant, his voice growing angrier, shriller, as if he was a tea kettle about to boil over.
“But you know what? It made me stronger. It gave me resolve. It’s what drives me! Because I don’t want to ever have to see something like that again!”

”A guy who warned him about me? Who would that be? By the nature of his comments, it has to be that jerk! Goddammit! I’m starting to regret having spared his life… What a hateful fellow, that bastard Jarvis!” he thought to himself, as Raisu said that he still felt like breaking his neck even though he acted all nice and stuff. He was right to say that he wasn’t to be blamed; the saiyans were, and Natto nodded in agreement, despite showing clear signs of sadness and discomfort in his eyes.
– Yes, I can’t blame you… The saiyans who attacked, me included, were wrong to do what they did and, although most of them didn’t regret their actions, a few of us did. Which included me and my squad… We were the strongest, Raisu, and we could have obliterated South Capitol and plenty of the surrounding areas if we chose to fight, which we did not, so, please, take that into consideration… - he said. And Natto was speaking the truth! Damn! If he really wanted, he could have most likely blown the whole planet, being a sore loser.
Then, Raisu started ranting about what drives him and the mayhem he saw at his home town, making Natto sigh again. He spoke of ash, fire and death in the form of Great Apes, who supposedly killed tons of innocent people, and Natto couldn’t really agree with all of that, and he would explain why as soon as he had the chance. The young hybrid also said that it made him stronger and flared his will to defend Earth even more.
– While I understand your feelings, I have to correct you, since you weren’t actually there. We attacked, we are to blame, but there were almost no civilian casualties. While I still commanded the saiyans I offered everyone chance to surrender and said that the civilians could go away from the fight. Most casualties were from fighters… And the immense majority of the deaths were from the saiyans. – he sighed, gazing away from Raisu. – And even after we had decided not to fight, when we decided to leave, a commander of the Blue Banner Army, a hybrid just like you, with more blood thirst than I could even dream of having, killed my best friend… The very person who didn’t fire a single attack against this planet or the earthlings… And he almost killed my mate. After the battle he provoked me and we fought. I could have killed him… But I chose not to, because I don’t want any more deaths. – Natto’s tone was quite sad, and there was obvious grief on both tone and eyes. – You can judge me in any way you want… But if you truly want to become a defender of anything, please learn that every story has two sides, and sometimes we can find respect and honor even among enemies. – he said. With those words, his power level diminished to the previous one, the very same power when they first encountered each other: 15.000.

The Saiyan Natto nodded when Raisu said he was to blame, but there was a sadness in his eyes. Was it regret? Was it guilt? Or was he upset that Raisu had called him out? Either was, Raisu found it interesting, that look in his eyes. He didn’t think full bloods were capable of emotions besides anger. Raisu shook his head. He knew that wasn’t true. Tomare and Arlic proved that much. He supposed he meant Empire Saiyans. They were the true evil, the bogeymen of this universe. Was Raisu supposed to empathize with Natto in this moment? Because he wasn’t. Few things could make him do that.
Either way, Natto didn’t blame Raisu. Hell, he even admitted his own fault. Apparently there were other Saiyans who regretted their actions. His entire squad, if he was telling the truth. Well, he thought, good for them. It might be the thought that counts, but actions speak louder than words. They’d still invaded. He didn’t obliterate South Capitol? Good for him. What did he want for that? A medal? A trophy that said, ‘congratulations on not committing genocide’? Raisu took it into consideration, though. He weighed it right alongside the fact that they’d invaded.
“You know, that’s nice and all, but you still invaded. If you were going to betray your evil Empire, I would have prefered you did it back on your planet. Or, you know, before you landed in my home.”
Of course, that would have meant fighting on vegeta. But he didn’t care in that moment. Saiyans liked fighting. Hell, they probably would have welcomed a coup or the like. It would have given them something else to do aside from coming to Earth and causing trouble. Knowing Saiyans, though, it would have only been a matter of time before they invaded anyway. They were terrible like that.
And he had the audacity to claim there were almost no civilian casualties. Raisu didn’t believe that. Even if he thought he was right, Raisu had trouble believing the Saiyan’s words. And besides, how would he know? It must be hard keeping Saiyans in line. And even then, one civilian casualty was far too many. Not to mention the destruction of homes. Raisu, in this moment, wanted to hear very little of what this Saiyan had to say. He could choke on his words for all he cared.
And then he spoke of Jarvis. Raisu knew the story already. Jarvis had told him all about it back in the Monkey’s Paw. How he’d killed the Saiyan Aspa. How he’d fought Tomoroko. And then how he had fought Natto. Yes, Raisu already knew all that. His best friend died and his mate nearly did too? Raisu spared no tears for him. Natto’s full blooded Empire kin had caused such damage a thousand times over on Earth. The man spoke of honor and respect among enemies? Raisu wanted to laugh at this, but he didn’t. The man was crazy. And Raisu didn’t trust him. It was hard to trust someone who had landed on Earth with the Empire. But he had a point. To be a defender, a protector, Raisu had to understand all sides. That much made sense. It was too bad Raisu already understood what happened just perfectly fine.
“Man, you expect me to believe that? Yeah, I get it. People can change. Goodie for you. But that doesn’t absolve you of your crimes. If you ever want anyone to believe you, you’re gonna have to work hard. And you’ll never be free from your crimes. You know that right? Even at the end of your days, they’ll still be up there, like a frickin’ specter. Haunting you. Maybe you think you’re a good guy for not blowing up the city. But let me tell you: you don’t get brownie points for not killing everyone.”
Raisu shook his head. Some people would never learn.
“So, got anything else to say, anything else to justify? Or are we done here? Because right now, I’m getting real sick of looking at you.”

Raisu didn’t seem like the understanding type and that made Natto sigh. Not because he was sad that Raisu didn’t get his point; he sighed because he was disappointed with himself. Natto wanted to break Raisu’s neck for his harsh words, he could feel the anger building up inside of him. He wanted to destroy that hybrid asshole for being so sarcastic with his comments. ”But what this makes me? It makes me a saiyan like any other I’m criticizing… Heh! Mom… You may have thought I was a good for nothing soft coward, but I can be more of a saiyan than most… And that’s not a very nice thing, since I don’t want to become like them. Actually… When did I start becoming like this? Back at Argavat? Yeah…” his own thoughts dragged him down, and he was only feeling anger towards Raisu because he was angry with himself.
– Yes, I invaded! I never denied that! I was told the earthlings were the spiritual successors of the tuffles, the ancient race who enslaved the saiyans when we first arrived on Vegeta! The queen that I swore allegiance to told me that when I was on the brink of betraying the Empire back on my home! – he roared, making it crystal clear that he was truly anger. Natto gritted his teeth as he spoke, ignoring the part when Raisu told him that he was sick of looking at him. – I found out that there was a tuffle still alive and he was one of the main advisors of the queen and that shattered my resolve and my loyalty to the empire… But I chose to once again believe in her and that’s why I came to Earth! My only regret is how long it took me to realize what my race truly is for the most part… But how could I know, right? I was sent away to conquer planets for most of my life! – he said. He fought really hard against the tears who tried to water his eyes, but he wasn’t going to show weakness now; Raisu didn’t deserve to see that! He knew nothing about the saiyan race.
– Don’t stand there all high and might! You know nothing about your own race! – he said, referring to his saiyan side. – You lived here, in this peaceful and beautiful planet! A planet where you are free to choose what you wanna be and what you wanna do! We don’t have this choice! But that’s not a problem because most of us love the fighting, love the chaos! But let me tell you a little secret! Many of us don’t! – he roared. – My first planet… Felucia! I spent my childhood there ignoring my mission and my orders. I had a family there, they took me in and I loved them all! I didn’t care about returning… But when I ignored who I was, I sentenced them all to death because I tried to be like them! I tried to enjoy the moon festival forgetting that I would become a mindless monster! In a single night I wipe them all out! The people who raised me for almost seven years! And I know I’m guilty of that! It still haunts me! – He did shed a tear, but veins popped out on his temples, since he was into a very intense emotional stress. – Go ahead and judge me if you like, you soft boy! You don’t know anything about the universe! You think your ignorance gives you the right of judged from you biased position?! I’m another idiot who didn’t know a thing about the universe and that was the reason I held that rotten cruel flag of the Solar Empire! And that’s the reason I turned my back on them when I came to realize the inevitable truth. – he sighed quiclly, to catch his breath.
He was pissed, but he had to let it out. What Raisu would do to those words didn’t matter to him anymore. He was adamant about his goal; he would pay for his sins by protecting the things he tried to destroy when he was blind. He would do what Ninjin and Toma said, he would create a new society to the saiyans who were also sick of the Empire’s ways. Word Count: 724

The Saiyan sighed. Raisu didn’t even want to call the Saiyan by name. But at least he was finally admitting his wrongs in full. Had Raisu driven him to that? If so, good. The man deserved any discomfort Raisu caused him as far as he was concerned. The man spoke on ancient races centuries past, of those who has enslaved the Saiyans. Raisu raised an eyebrow at that. He found that much hard to believe. If anything, the Saiyans were the enslavers. And if they had been slaves in ages past, that was the height of irony: the enslaved became the enslavers. Funny how that works. The Saiyan race must have forgotten how it felt to be stepped on. Maybe somebody ought to remind them, thought Raisu. It was a dark thought, and one he’d be ashamed of later, but it came across his mind. Even if he felt no one deserved to be enslaved.
There was anger plain on the man’s face now. Good. Now he knew how Raisu felt. Was he supposed to be scared of the man? Because if he was, he didn’t feel it. His emotions were burning like a great pyre and more fuel was being added by the second. He accused Raisu of being high and mighty, of knowing nothing of his race. The man spoke of being sent away his entire life, sent to conquer planets. He spoke of families past, those he had to kill and betray. He spokes of all the races he’d purged. Raisu felt a small twinge of sadness for the man. Raisu wasn’t that cold. But still, a hard past did not outweigh his new sins. The man had a long way to go if he wanted to atone. He spoke of wiping out his entire family in a single night. He said Raisu didn’t know anything about the universe? Well, he’s show him.
“They’re not my race!” He screamed, his own emotions running high. “And I know nothing about the universe? Screw you, man! I know enough to tell you that killing is wrong! I know enough to tell you that the best use of strength is to protect the defenseless from people like you and your queen! You say you’ve changed? That you don’t want to wave the Empire’s flag anymore? Well, freaking prove it! Go out there and fix the shit you and your people caused. The way I see it, you owe it to the world.”
Raisu shook his head. Why was he getting so angry. His vision faded in and out. His head hurt. So did his jaw. Was he clenching it that hard? Damn, he needed to relax. Natto was getting to him now. He needed to leave.
“I’m going to leave now,” said Raisu, his voice shaking, “And you better remember my name! Because I’m going to be the one to put you in your place if you get out of line!”
And with that Raisu turned his back on Natto. He spat and then burst off into the distance, leaving the Saiyan behind.

With a scream, Raisu stated that he didn’t consider the saiyans to be his race, but as much as he denied it, he had plenty of saiyan within him, and Natto would always remember him about that heritage, both to make him accept it, and also to annoy him, since he had been such a torn on Natto’s feet after they started speaking seriously about themselves. He then said that he knew enough of the universe to know that killing was wrong, which led Natto to immediately laugh out loud in an absurdly sarcastic tone. – Killing is wrong, unless it’s about killing a saiyan, isn’t it, you damn hypocrite? – he said, needling him quite directly. – And my actions from now on are on my own terms, not based on what you believe is right! I will let my actions speak for myself, and I don’t really care if you like them or not. There’s absolutely nothing you can do against me, you weakling! – he didn’t mean to threaten him, but it might have sounded like that. Natto was just too angered with Raisu’s words and attitudes to measure his own words, and he wanted to hurt that little smug of a hybrid.
When he was about to leave, he told Natto to remember his name, because he was going to be the one to put him on his place if he got out of line. Natto hmphed at that comment. – I don’t intend to do this planet and its inhabitants any harm, but let me give you a piece of advice, you cocky bastard! You overestimate yourself for such a small fry. The universe is too big, and you are too little. Don’t forget that, or you are going to get yourself killed sooner or later! – he said in a rather harsh tone, but his intention was to actually warn Raisu; he was too reckless and if he had encountered a true member of the Empire that was at least a third as strong as Natto, he would have been killed in a matter of minutes, wasting all his future.
The hybrid boy left, and Natto sighed. ”Some saiyans of Earth are really nice, like Toma and Ninjin… Some of them are stupid and clueless, like this boy… And others are pure scum, like Jarvis… What a variety. At least it serves to show me that it’s not the race that you are born as that defines who you are. This mean I can indeed create a new environment to willing sayians!” he concluded, ruefully smiling. Then, he landed on the island down there, where he dropped his scouter, and put it on his left ear before flaring his ghostly-white ki aura and heading straight towards the location of the Star Javelin.
