"Hmm... He is an old friend of mine, but I wouldn't call this hide and seek per-se... Come along now, we have no time to waste!"
As the duo marched towards the door, Breech turned to the girl. She seemed very easy-going, an interesting trait for an android to be given. Her programming as a whole was very intriguing. It seemed she was designed to act like a companion of sorts, as she was very responsive to commands, no matter what they were. Breech hoped he'd get more time to study her -perhaps even give her some more deadly upgrades.
The large metallic door of the lab slid open as they approached, letting a chilling wind in. The duo were both androids however, so the cold didn't bother them in the slightest. The doctor took to the skies as they exited, flying high above the mountains. The little droid seemed to be amazed at the view, relating the mountaintops to sweets of various kinds. Breech smiled, responding to Tania's question with an unusually pleasant tone. "I think they'd look delectable with some large cherries. Perhaps some chocolate syrup would help increase their deliciousness as well?"
The thought of such large sweets was actually quite an interesting one. Perhaps if they were to enlarge a more healthy food, they could cure world hunger! The doctor simply dismissed the idea, however. Breech wasn't noble enough for such a task. His mind had been warped by his own work, turning him into the man -or rather, machine- he is today.
His thoughts were interrupted as Tania asked another question. Breech let out a chuckle as he spoke. "Sadly, we don't have time for such a thing. My friend is on a tight schedule, so if we don't hurry we might miss him!"
They flew for only a few minutes, reaching their destination quite quickly. The coordinates led them to an ancient Capsule Corp facility, somewhat embedded in the snow. It quite clearly hadn't seen use in several years, perhaps even decades. Breech touched down at the entrance, sighing in disappointment. "Drats... Looks like the coordinates were outdated."
"Well, seeing as we're here..." Despite the lead being a bust, Breech decided it would be best to check the place out anyways. He moved over to the frozen sliding door, gripping the door between the small gap it had. Slowly, he pushed the two sides of the door apart, allowing the two androids entrance to the ancient facility.
It was nearly pitch-black inside, so Breech activated the night-vision feature on his internal scouter, causing his eyes to glow a sickly green.
He turned to Tania, posing a curious question before he entered. "If you'd like, I could create a Ki ball to illuminate the inside instead. I didn't notice a Night-Vision feature installed in your ocular sensors."

”Yeah! Chocolate syrup always makes everything better!” Tania agreed to his input rather enthusiastically. Maybe some sprinkles would help too! Especially the rainbow kind! It was a good thing that the child wasn’t programmed with the ability to salivate. She would have been drooling all over herself at the thought of eating an entire mountain’s worth of sugary goodness.
Tania was pulled away from her yummy little day dreams when she was told that they had no time to pick up any sweets before meeting this friend of his. Aww, that was too bad. But if they had to go, then they had to go. It wouldn’t be any good to pick up treats only to miss the person that they were supposed to share them with, even if that did mean more for Tania and Dr. Breech. If they had to get going, then they had to get going. She let out a disappointed sigh, but said nothing more of it and stuck to following after the other android.
Eventually, the pair came across an old, abandoned building that was covered in a thick layer of snow. Had she the time, this would have been the perfect place to build a snowman buddy. Maybe when they met up with the doctor’s friend, they could all build a snowman together! That would be fun! However, as they landed in front of the door, Dr. Breech declared that the coordinates hadn’t been up to date in a disappointed tone. What? No sweets and no friend? Aww...
The man was apparently determined to make sure that they hadn’t come out here for nothing and decided to head inside anyway. Tania quickly followed him inside as he held the door open. She activated her own night-vision in the process. ”Nope! I can see in the dark just fine,” the small girl declined, taking a look around the abandoned lobby. ”So do you think your friend might be hiding in here after all? Oh! Or are we going on an adventure?! I’ll have you know that I’m an expert adventurer. That’s why I do it for the Blue Banner Army!”

Breech smirked as the android activated her own night-vision; an ability he must have looked over whilst repairing the little girl. "Very well then, let's head inside." It was quite interesting that such an adorable design had such deadly weaponry and gadgets packed away inside. Only a truly insane man would equip a child with rockets. Breech wondered if he could find the girls creator, but decided to focus on the task at hand for now. The Doctor pushed inside, entering the main lobby of the decrepit building. The place was very clearly ancient; seeing no human life for at least 40 years. Sadly for this building, this exploring duo wasn't organic in the slightest, meaning it might go forever without housing another living thing.
He slowly marched across the lobby as Tania asked a couple more questions. Breech turned to her, responding to her question with a hopeful tone in his voice. "Well, judging by the state of the inside, my friend has left a very long time ago. However, he may have left something here for me to find. If I can find it, then maybe it will lead me to him."
The mechanized doctor approached the front desk, crouching slightly to inspect the computer. Surprisingly, it was still active, which further bolstered the machine-mans hope. His left hands skin peeled back, once again revealing a set of tools just beneath the artificial skin. He extended a small USB cord from the set, snaking it towards the computer console. It clicked into the slot easily, allowing Breech direct access to the entire facility. He peered over the desk to look at Tania, a smile on his face as he spoke. "Looks like I've got access to the place! I can download a map of the facility, which should make locating the special item easier." Data streamed into the doctors data banks, revealing the entire layout of the building to him. He slowly retracted his cord, covering his hand up with skin once more.
Breech stood up, walking towards the leftmost corridor in the building. "Come along Tania! We're looking for something that resembles a plug, but without the cord. Should be easy to find, right?"

Even with Tania’s night vision being unable to detect color, she could tell that everything inside was covered with a thick layer of dust. If Dr. Breech’s friend really was in a place like this, hopefully they turned out to be another android. From what she understood, lungs and this much dust lying about didn’t really mix all that well.
”You mean like hide and seek, but instead of finding your friend, we’re finding a puzzle that leads to your friend? That’s like two games in one!” Tania deduced excitedly. A cheeky grin was displayed prominently on her face. This almost made up for the trip’s lack of sugary treats! ”You’re in luck, Dr. Breech! I’m one of the best hide-and-seekers and puzzle solvers that I know!” She honestly wasn’t trying to sound like she was full of herself even if that’s how she ended up coming off. The synthetic child was just eager to get started.
So giddy that she could hardly stand still, Tania watched in anticipation as Dr. Breech fiddled with the computer that had been sitting abandoned on the front desk for what must have been forever. He wanted to use the computer to download a map. Ooh! Treasure maps made everything better! She skipped after him as he started to make his way towards one of the building corridors, finding a bit of amusement in the imprints that her feet made in the thick dust that covered the floor.
”Cordless plug? It’s as good as found!” The game had officially begun! The corridor itself was awfully bare, but there were plenty of doors lining the walls. Hmm... If Tania was a cordless plug, where would she be? She poked her head in the first door that lined the wall only to find a janitor’s closet. It didn’t really seem like a likely place for the thing that Dr. Breech was looking for, but what if that’s what his friend wanted them to think? A good adventurer left no stone unturned! ”So what does this thing do, anyway? Do we need to plug it in somewhere when we find it?” she asked curiously, poking through the grimy bottles of cleaning fluid that were heaped haphazardly on the closet floor.

As the duo made their way through the decrepit building, Breech couldn't help but smile at the little android girl. She revealed that she was an excellent puzzle solver, which made the aged android chuckle. "That's excellent! With your help, this map might not even be needed."
The lifeless machines strolled through the hall, searching in every door they came across. While Tania found herself in a storage closet, Breech somehow came across one of what he presumed were many circuit breakers that the facility housed. He flipped the switches back and forth a few times, but as he suspected, no power was running through it. A disappointed sigh escaped his lips as he closed the lid to the breaker.
He turned to Tania, who had just posed a question to him. He mused on it for a moment, before deciding to simply tell the truth. "Well, it's essentially a part of me. My friend helped his other friends with a project a long time ago, and they created... Well, think of it kind of like a super battery that never runs out of juice! It didn't work all that well though, so we hid all the pieces across the whole world. I decided recently that I wanna fix it up again to make it work like it was supposed to. I almost have every piece; I'm just missing two... If we find this one, I'd be extremely close to finishing this project!"
After a brief walk, the duo came across a large hole in the floor directly in the middle of the musty hallway. The Doctor crouched down, his eyes narrowing as he inspected the contents of the room the hole led to. "Hmm... A hole to a lower floor? Perhaps this will lead us to our treasure." From what he could tell, his map suggested this would be the proper way to go. Breech beckoned Tania to follow him as he quickly hopped into the large hole. After a surprisingly brief drop, the Doctor would find himself in a dilapidated lab, covered in more dust and debris than the even the hallway was.
Without skipping a beat, Breech began searching the room. As he suspected, the piece of the core he was looking for was not here. What he did find however, was a small switch underneath one of the bigger desks, which lead to a hidden room. He flipped the switch, and a large chunk of the back wall of the room suddenly shifted. It slid upwards, revealing a surprisingly clean, bright hallway. Breech stood up, eyeing the newly revealed hall curiously.
"Hmm... Perhaps we should explore this new avenue of adventure? There's a high chance this new room will lead us to the treasure we seek."

Tania continued to prod gingerly at the mess of cleaning supplies before finally deciding that the thing they were looking for wasn’t hidden among them. Well, that was one room that they could cross off the list, even if it was a small one. She stuck her tongue out at the picked over closet before shutting the door and looking back over to Dr. Breech. ”So if you get this piece, then you’ll be close to making a battery that wouldn’t ever have to be recharged? Neato!” As much as she found her recharge periods soothing, how cool would it be to be able to go forever without running out of juice?! Hopefully it went well once they found the part. If it did, maybe Dr. Breech could make her one too.
The synthetic child followed after the doctor, keeping her eyes peeling for any clues that might lead them to the part that they sought after. However, as she was looking from side to side, she hadn’t noticed that the elderly-looking man in front of her had come to a halt and she ended up lightly bumping into him. ”Hey, what’s the matt-oh...” She fell silent as soon as she laid eyes upon the large hole in the floor. Did this old building have a mole problem? Maybe it was another sandworm! But why would one by this far north when they liked warm places? It very well could have lead them to their treasure as Dr. Breech suggested, but now Tania was curious as to what made the hole in the first place. She guessed that would just have to be another thing that she kept watch for.
A slight sensation of déjà vu hit the girl as she hopped down through the hole to the level below, through her adventuring companion and the setting were quite a bit different this time around. It was a heck of a lot messier down there than the rest of the building that they had seen so far. The girl immediately followed Dr. Breech’s lead and started searching the new room, not wanting to get distracted from the task at hand. While neither one had any luck finding it, Tania suddenly heard a click echo through the room before a section of the wall slid away to reveal a secret room. She couldn’t hide her grin caused by this new development. Now that was how you put together a dungeon. Secret rooms were perfect places to hide treasure.
”Full speed ahead!” Tania declared as she pointed to the new room before zooming inside. The room itself wasn’t very big, but unlike the rest of the building seemed to be free of dust. That was probably because it had been sealed away so tightly. The walls were lined with machinery that kind of looked like exposed computer towers that reached from the floor to the ceiling. There were what looked to be spots for small lights that dotted them up and down, but were unlit thanks to the lack of power to the building. However, by far the most eye-catching thing about this small room was the pedestal that sat at its center with a device displayed atop it that carried the appearance of a cordless plug. ”Bingo! There it is Dr. Breech!” she called out, still waiting for him to catch up due to how speedy she had rushed in.
”But wait, if this is supposed to be a part that you need for your new battery, then how will it help us find your friend?”

Breech couldn't help but smirk as he watched the girl speed ahead into the pristine room. She was quite the adventurous little tike. He paused for a moment before he followed her. Something about the room didn't seem right; the hall was a little too clean. Even being sealed air-tight wouldn't keep a place so shiny and brand-new. Perhaps there was a back-up generator somewhere that was keeping a set of cleaning droids active in this room? Whatever the case, he was certain that the piece of the Resillium Core would be here, so he had to enter, regardless of what traps may lay ahead. With extreme caution, the Artificial Doctor walked through the halls. Though his scanner didn't pick up any anomalies, the small bit of humanity left within him was not feeling good about this place. It felt wrong to be here. As he finally entered the large room Tania was in, he was delighted to see the treasure he was looking for. He let out a chuckle as he patted Tania on the head. "Bingo indeed, little one! That's exactly what we're looking for!" The aged man walked towards the pedestal cautiously, searching everywhere for a possible booby-trapped floor tile, or a set of lasers to act as trip-wires. Breeches attention was stolen for a moment as Tania posed another question. He took a moment to answer, but he did so truthfully. "Well, back in the day, this battery project was something my friend was really excited for! My hope is that once I finish it, he can pick up the unique energy signature attached to it on a scouter, and then he can find me instead of me finding him! In that case, I guess it's kind of like reverse Hide-And-Seek."After a thorough search, it seemed there wasn't a single trace of a trap anywhere! Breech surmised that if there were traps here, they must not have had enough energy being sent to them to stay active any longer. He turned back to Tania, a somewhat disappointed look on his face as he spoke. "How boring... Not a single booby-trap in the whole room!"He quickly snatched the cordless plug from the pedestal, and sadly, there was no pressure plate underneath. It seemed this adventure would end with a fairly boring secret room. Still though, Breech had to admit that he was fairly happy with the outcome. "Well, I guess we should go our separate ways now that the adventure is over... Thank you so much for your help, Tania. We must go on another adventure like this some time!"Breech began walking towards the exit of the secret room, his mind completely focused on exploring the ins and outs of this next piece of the Resillium Core. --- [Seems like a decent place to end it, I suppose (if only because I took so long to reply @_@)] [Presuming the thread ends here, I'll take Zeni!] Tania
