"Hm... Well, anyway, I'm sorry I went and tried to hit you. I kind of figured that might scouter might not work properly. This is my first time using it. But that aside, let's take care of these crows..." Houri stated as she followed Nai-Ran over to the she now sat perched on and stood next to her.
Raising her head, she'd look up into the sky before charging a small, green energy sphere in her right hand. By her count there were at least twenty crows coming at them. But one good shot of her Seed Bomber and she knew they were going to disperse. So she carefully moved her right hand in front of her chest and closed one eye to get a better shot at them. Slowing her breathing she gripped her other hand under her wrist and fired the sphere from her palm. It soared through the air and in a matter of seconds exploded in the air ten feet above the crows scattering six smaller sphere on top of them.
She smirked and voiced to her friend, "Maybe this will get rid of them."

”I see you’re feeling better. That’s good,” Nai-Ran commented as she watched the green energy disperse and scatter the crows. Perhaps the young Ryashi woman should have just forgotten about hunting down any large game while she was out here and just go after the birds that seemed so drawn to the pair. She briefly considered the idea before shaking her head. They were probably diseased anyway...
”That seems to have done the trick,” the girl said as she continued to watch the winged pests in their panicked frenzy. Most of them were flying off in random directions any filling the air with their alarmed squawking. Nai-Ran guessed that whoever rallied them to go after Houri and her didn’t mention anything about being fired at with ki. Hopefully that would be the only warning that would have to be issued to the lot of them. She liked the cave she found, and didn’t want to be bothered by the little beasts for the rest of her stay on Earth. It would be something she would have to keep an eye out for in case their self-preservation instincts weren’t all they were cracked up to be.
A wee bit disappointed that the birds were already scattering after only a single attack from Houri, Nai-Ran turned to the Florian and shrugged her shoulders. ”Now that they’re taken care of, you mentioned that you were on your way home before. About how far away is it from here? Do you think you’ll be able to make it?” she asked, concerned about the trip. It was obvious Houri wasn’t cut out for surviving in the desert for long periods of time. Nai-Ran was a bit worried that if she ventured out there again she may collapse. Though she did make the trip at least once already, so maybe there was something else responsible for the condition Houri was in when she first showed up at Nai-Ran’s cave...

"Hm, if I remember correctly it should only be three or four miles from here, maybe a bit more on foot." Holly addressed Nai-Ran with a smile on her face. "I don't recognize the area we're in so I'm not sure if we're going in the right direction. It's still nice to be here though then out in the desert."
Holly stretched her arms over her head trying to limber up her stiff, and dehydrated body. Running from the stadium at the Budokai Tenkaichi and then across the stadium here had really winded her. But since their stop at the little oasis and the crows she'd gotten slightly better.
Looking down at her clothes she could see a few rips in her sweater and also a few holes in the front leather pieces of her boots. She really hated to continue wearing such drab things in front of her rescuer so she clasped her hands together and asked, "I can take you home with me, but do you have somewhere I can possibly change? There's this one really nice, light weight white dress I have that I could wear that would make our trip easier, but I don't want to change out in the open. You know..." Giving Nai-Ran a wink she knew she was acting a bit more ditsy then normal but with all the trouble she'd been through perhaps it would seem okay to the snake girl if she acted like she was.
She felt a bit embarrassed to be giving Nai-Ran such a bad presentation of herself, however, Holly was not entirely embarrassed. She was the only one there with her. So with that in mind doing girl things with her should have been okay in her mind.

“To each their own, I suppose,” was all Nai-Ran said in response to the comment about enjoying the break from the hot desert climate. Again, she was used to the idea that not all races were equipped with her kind’s love of such an environment. Still, no matter how hard she tried to keep an open mind about the subject, the young woman simply couldn’t fathom ever choosing a colder climate over the one she had made her temporary home in. What was the point of living where it was cold? To her it only meant having to bundle up in more layers of clothing and a lack of hot sand to slide her pearly scales over. How was that appealing?
“Ah, you don’t want to return home with the worn-out traveler look?” Nai-Ran asked rhetorically with a smile. As someone who had been raised to be a lady, she understood Houri’s concern completely. Her father would have tanned her hide if she ever slithered home with such a shabby appearance. That man was always so obsessed with appearances...
She briefly glanced around the immediate area, but nothing really jumped out at her as a potential changing room. “I think your best option is to bear with changing behind one of the bushes or trees that line the bank of the creek. I know it’s not the most idea place, but going all the way back to my cave to do so seems like it would be a waste of time. At least we’re the only ones here.”
The young woman turned her back to her new friend in order to give her some privacy. It was incredibly bad form to not avert one’s eyes when a lady requested to change her attire. It didn’t matter who you were or what you thought of the lady. While she waited, Nai-Ran absentmindedly twirled a strand of pale pink hair around her black glove-clad finger. Hopefully she wouldn’t be too long. Furi-Su, one of her closest friends back home, was notorious for taking ages making sure every inch of her appearance met her standards before even thinking about leaving the house.
“I don’t mind accompanying you to your home, but I’m afraid I won’t be staying long,” Nai-Ran called to Houri, her back still facing her. “I need to work on gathering up supplies since my stay on Earth is going to be for quite some time. I like the cave I found, but it’s not really as livable as I would like it to be yet.” Not only did she still need to gather up a decent store of food, she might need to get some water while she was at it. Ryashi didn’t really need to drink on a regular basis since they got just about all of their fluids from their food. Nai-Ran wasn’t sure if what she would find on this planet would sustain her thirst though, so having a reserve of water would be nice. She also needed to track down a couple of pieces of furniture to make the place a bit comfier.
As she waited for Houri to finish, Nai-Ran spoke up again. “If you don’t mind, I just have to ask... What’s it like having legs? Just about every non-Ryashi I’ve ever encountered walks on two legs. Are they difficult to balance on?” These questions may have seemed like they were a bit out of the blue, but Nai-Ran had always been curious about legs and why they were so common. Luckily, as far as she was aware, she was on a planet that was full of people that walked on legs. Perhaps if the question was too awkward for the Florian, it could always be answered by another inhabitant of Earth. Nai-Ran was bound to meet plenty of people during her stay here.

Holly shook her head no as she answered Nai-Ran silently at first before saying, "Yeah, I would rather not return home in the clothes I have." She looked down and noted that her boots and stockings were gone her appearance looked a little better but as as she gazed at her pink sweater a noticeable number of holes was definitely in it. Not including the hole for her head or arms.
Nai-Ran seemed to do her best to look around for some places to change, but when Houri looked for herself she was right to say to her, "I think your best option is to bear with changing behind one of the bushes or trees that line the bank of the creek. I know it's not the most idea place, but going all the way back to my cave to do so seems like it would be a waste of time. At least we’re the only ones here.”
Holly sighed and without a second thought trudged off to the other side of the river. Trees to hide behind were better then nothing but she would have liked to change in the cool, dark cave due to it being cool and dark. At the same time, as Holly looked back at Nai-Ran's back she wondered if Nai-Ran lived with other animals in the cave. The possibility was rather slim since that would only get Nai-Ran into a whole lot of trouble thanks to the need to fend off her territory. Yet based on what she could see of the girl's plump, lower snake half it was very likely she had eaten any previous inhabitants before they had complained.
It made Houri wonder what it was like to be part snake, if only for a moment as she reached the tree line and started pulling off her sweater. Nai-Ran interrupted her with a couple comments and a question during this though so she briefly answered, "Please come home. I need someone other then plant people to talk to. And someone other then plant people to deal with some rather encroaching loggers. You can do what you like to gather your supplies, but as for legs. I really do not know how to describe them to you. All I can say is that they seem natural."
She smiled as she said this and pulled off the sweater completely, leaving shirt underneath on before going into her bag and taking out a long, white dress. As she held this in front of her. She really liked it and took her shirt off to quickly put it on. It would only take her a moment more to switch out the shirt, sweater, and short skirt with the longer dress but by the time she was done she looked radiant as she peered down into the water near her feet. Something that made her smile as she let her blond hair dangle over her shoulders. The only problem was a strange itching sensation on her back side.
She knew it shouldn't take this long to change so she shouted to Nai-Ran, "I'll be a moment longer! I've come into some trouble but it's not bad!" Unfortunately, it felt like it was going to take a while because as she stood there the strangest thing happened. The itching got worse! Placing her right hand on just above her rump she scratched at the strange itch to try to relieve it but found it only getting worse. The more she scratched the worse it got. She began to cry, especially as a long sharp thorn poked through her skin and began to drip blood onto the ground.
At this point, Holly knew what was clearly happening. Many Florians experienced this and what she knew she was going through was the garnering of their bee abdomen or stinger. Long black and yellow hairs on a thick yet squishy, skin material soon began to sprout out of her back side too forming into a large, full insect abdomen. Fortunately, nothing from this process ruined her dress as the blood stopped dripping down her back and the thorn that pierced through her the back of her skin fell off harmlessly. Holly now was officially a proper Florian, at least that's what she thought as she remembered back to her village's strange letter.
She hobbled out of the painful experience though with her fanny pack clipped to the side of her hip and said, "You're not going to believe this but turn around now Nai-Ran... I've undergone a rather normal change..." What Nai-Ran would hopefully see hidden partially under the dress was the new bee abdomen without a bee's long six legs.

“What’s wrong with plant people? Are you really that tired of your own kind?” Nai-Ran asked curiously. Saying something like that about her people sounded incredibly strange. Had she no pride in her own race? Did Houri consider herself an outcast from the other Florians?
After briefly trying to come up with any possible reason to say such a thing, the serpentine young woman simply shook her head and decided to get back to the current conversation. "Like I said, I don’t think I’ll be staying. If it’s not far from the desert though, I wouldn’t mind popping in from time to time for some company as long as you don’t mind. As much as I like my cave, I can see myself getting awfully lonely there. The last thing I need is to become some sort of crazed hermit who tries to hold conversations with rocks..." While she was still trying to figure out what her father thought she would gain from undertaking the Ritual of Discovery, she was pretty darn sure that raging insanity wasn’t it.
Nai-Ran sighed at Houri’s answer to her question about legs. It was a shame; the girl was seriously looking for some insight on the matter. “I suppose it can’t be helped. I feel the same way about how we Ryashi are built. Sometimes I just can’t help but wonder what’s so special about legs and why they’re so common...” she trailed off. Her gaze lowered until it reached her tail, which was coiled loosely underneath her. Rows upon rows of thick scales provided a bit of natural armor that was far tougher than the skin that covered her upper half. Why were the Ryashi the only race that she knew of with such a feature? Oh well. Hopefully she would eventually find someone who could satisfy her curiosity on the matter.
The young woman watched as she slowly swished the very tip of her tail through the grass of the small, green clearing while she continued to wait. Her pointed ears twitched a bit as she heard the Florian’s voice from behind saying that she had run into a problem. She insisted that it wasn’t a big issue, but it sounded like she was in pain. “Are you sure you’re alright over there?” Nai-Ran called back to her. She was tempted to turn around to go check on her new friend, but knew how incredibly rude that would be without any sort of permission. After all, Houri was still changing as far as she knew
Eventually she was given the okay to turn around, at the same time being told that Houri had undergone some kind of change. “What kind of cha-” Nai-Ran started to speak as she turned around, but fell silent as soon as she laid eyes upon her. The girl furrowed her brow as she looked over what used to be a bipedal woman. ”Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but didn’t you have two legs just a moment ago? Where did the other four come from?” Nai-Ran couldn’t see the insect abdomen that Houri had grown thanks to the dress she had put on. However, the fact that her number of legs had been multiplied by three was enough for her to raise an eyebrow. She didn’t really know what to expect when the Florian had said she had changed, but this certainly wasn’t it.
”So you say this change is normal for your kind? When we reach your home, will the other Florians have six legs as well?” Nai-Ran didn’t have a problem with the change at all, but it was nice to know what to expect when visiting somewhere new. “On a completely unrelated note, I approve of the dress,” she added in with a wink.

"I'm a little tired of them. We're a kind of uppity race so we get in everyone's business or sometimes do what we just want to. For example, I punched you cause I wanted to test your powers as a fighter out." Houri answered while changing.
She listened to Nai-Ran's plans to live in the desert nearby if possible and thought them to be quite good, however, did not say so aloud. She was busy dealing with the strange change in her body. And while this occurred could hear Nai-Ran ask, “Are you sure you’re alright over there?” Something to which she was not ready to respond to either yet.
By the time Nai-Ran did turn around Houri had gained four legs and an insect abdomen of a bee. It did not seem so bad to Houri as she stood there, however, when Nai-Ran asked critically, ”Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but didn’t you have two legs just a moment ago? Where did the other four come from?” Houri knew she had to answer.
She blushed and stated, "These are my insect body parts. Every Florian has them now ever since Maruca, my mother, did what she did to my home world and destroyed it. Many Florians still cannot accept the fact that we are now part insect, but also part flower even though we gain what you see here on our 360th birthday. I've been waiting for this to occur thirty three years..."
Houri spun around, trying to test out her legs, and found that she wobbled very easily. Fortunately, her legs were very bendable and she kept balance while twirling. When she stopped she said, "To answer that next question of yours... Well, everyone who is 360 years old or older should have a six legs and an insect abdomen. We see this as a very normal, but extremely slow change.
Houri crossed her arms then smiled after this when Nai-Ran made a comment about her dress. "This one's spun from spider's thread. It's the only dress left that my mother had when she was younger. It's capable of stopping bullets. Houri stated as she scuttled over to Nai-Ran and reached out to give her a hug if she wanted it. Houri was very glad she'd found people more accepting of her in the known universe and really liked Nai-Ran.
"I suppose, after our hug here, we should get going. We need to go to Bamboo Forest which is northeast of us."

Nai-Ran’s eyes widened when Houri mentioned how long it took for such a transformation to occur in a Florian. It didn’t happen until they were at least 360 years old? The blonde woman in front of her said that she had been waiting for thirty three years, so did that make her 393? She had no idea that Florians had such long lifespans. All this time she was thinking that the average Ryashi lived for a long time, but it was nothing compared to that. It didn’t help that Houri still looked so young. Age 393 probably wasn’t even anywhere near middle age for her kind.
”So your kind wasn’t always part insect, but they are now because your mother destroyed your home world? Is it some sort of curse?” Nai-Ran asked curiously, intrigued by the fact that such a big change wasn’t always natural for their race. The part about Houri’s mother being the one that destroyed their planet was a bit troubling, but she decided not to bother with that part that the moment. There could have been a myriad of possible scenarios there, both intentional and unintentional, that could have led to that. She didn’t want to judge. Besides, it may have been a sore subject for Houri since Nai-Ran wasn’t sure if she got any flak about it from the other Florians.
Houri gave a quick little twirl, perhaps to either show off her dress or test out new legs. It must have been incredibly awkward to move around after growing four more appendages like that. Then again, she said she had been waiting for the change to happen for a while now, so who knew? The Florian then crossed her arms and shot Nai-Ran a smile. She explained that the dress was passed down from her mother and that it was rather durable. ”Ah, so it’s elegant and functional. Very nice. Very nice,” the serpentine young woman commented with a light chuckle before returning the hug.
She was relieved that she had made a friend so quickly. She had heard stories from those who had returned from their Ritual of Discovery that the only other life on the planets that they visited were savage beings who wanted nothing more than to rip you limb from limb just to see what your entrails tasted like. Most of these stories were tall tales just to drive home the fact that the journey wouldn’t be an easy one. Those planning on undertaking the journey would need to be prepared for the worst of the worst. Still, she would be a horrible liar if she had said she wasn’t concerned about it when she had first left home. If everyone Nai-Ran met during her stay on Earth was like Houri, then she wouldn’t have to worry about a thing.
”Northeast it is. I’ll follow your lead since I wouldn’t know this Bamboo Forest if I saw it,” Nai-Ran spoke after she had separated from Houri. She made a mental note to keep her guard up around the other Florians just in case they too decided to throw any unexpected punches her way. However, she was looking forward to meeting them. Maybe they could even trade her some supplies if she could figure out something to give or do for them in return.
Nai-Ran slithered over to the edge of the green patch and waited for Houri to lead the way.

"No, I don't think it's some sort of curse, but we definitely have not always been part insect," Holly said as she shook her head no and looked deeply into Nai-Ran's eyes, "I just suspect it was the next way for us to evolve since we lost our home world when my mother tried to heal herself of some strange disease from here and killed the planet's most important tree 'Spider Vein'. A tree that had stood on our planet for a very long time and was practically connected to the planet's core." Holly did not want to speak more of how because of this she had been separated at birth from her mother. It really hurt her as she remembered the days she lived among humans being shuffled around like an unwanted pet.
Holly lost herself in thought as she continued to hug Nai-Ran but was very happy to hear from the words, ”Ah, so it’s elegant and functional. Very nice. Very nice," she heard the girl say as Nai-Ran genuinely acknowledged her love for her mother's dress with a chuckle and a return hug.
By the time Nai-Ran let go and slithered off to a green patch near them Holly was ready to go. Nai-Ran had instructed her to leave so she scuttled after her on all six of her legs and stood next to her taking in a breath of fresh air.
"I'm ready..." she announced, "I just hope we do not encounter more deserts along the way." With these words said Holly climbed over some rocks and headed down the other side of the creek bed passing underneath a great stone arch next to Mt. Paozu. She found while moving that the rocks were becoming far less visible along her path and that the grass and trees were popping up more frequently around her. Looking back along the path that edged along the mountain she waited for Nai-Ran to come to her.
"Hurry up!" she shouted, "We may end up getting stuck out here at night fall if you don't!" She gazed up at the sky where the sun was just now setting overhead and casting long shadows along the back of the mountain. If they did not hurry who knew what kinds of creatures other then crows lived out in the wilderness so close to her home.

”I can’t exactly say that I share that hope of yours,” Nai-Ran chuckled only half-jokingly when Houri said that she didn’t want to encounter any more deserts. She simply couldn’t help it that her kind thrived in that kind of environment. Though, moving through other regions of this world wouldn’t be so bad. She hadn’t actually done much exploring yet. The grassy plains that she landed in the middle of and the desert in which she found her cave were really all the ground that she had been covered so far. The young woman was excited to see more of the planet in which she would be calling ‘home’ for at least the next several years.
The serpentine lass followed behind Houri as they moved along the creek. Although Nai-Ran knew very well that they had somewhere they were trying to go, she couldn’t help but slow down periodically and stare at what Earth had to offer. She would have never dreamed of seeing so much lush plant life concentrated in one place back home. Nai-Ran apologized profusely each time she slowed down to gawk; she knew she wasn’t here to play tourist.
The stream continued to stretch on as the two of them followed it. The large mountain that had loomed in the background earlier was growing larger by the minute. Both females were moving further and further away from the desert. The grass beneath Nai-Ran’s scales was slowly becoming softer and less brittle, much like the grass she had felt when she first emerged from her space pod. The sensation was still strange, but it wasn’t bad. What she did have an issue with were the tiny shivers that were occasionally running down her spine as she felt the air gradually grow colder. She wasn’t a huge fan of that at all. It wasn’t surprising though, considering the fact that they were distancing themselves from the desert and their daylight hours were slowly beginning to dwindle. Even the sands of Appodorra grew chilly once the sun had set.
Speaking of sunset, Nai-Ran found herself gazing wide-eyed at the horizon as they kept moving. The sun was just starting to disappear behind it. However, in its wake it had left the once tranquil blue sky painted in a brilliant array of pink, purple, and gold. It was quite the sight to behold. The young woman made a mental note that she would have to find some way to capture it on paper or film before eventually retuning home. It was a view that she definitely wanted to share with her father.
Sensing a bit of urgency in Houri’s tone, Nai-Ran tore her eyes away from the sunset and picked up the pace. ”My humblest of apologies. As I’ve already mentioned, I’ve only been on Earth for a very short time. Back on my planet, the sky doesn’t look nearly this picturesque when the sun goes down. It just sort of... gets darker,” she explained while rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. It wasn’t Nai-Ran’s intention to be an inconvenience. She would have to work harder at containing her curiosity for the rest of the trip.
”By the way, is there anything in particular about staying out after dark that I should be worried about? I’m not too thrilled about how cold it gets or the lack of light, but I was wondering if there’s anything else to watch out for.”

Holly stopped walking and turned around to say, "Well, sunset gazer, it's rather easy to explain why I don't think that either of us should be out here," Holly stated with a smile on her face.
She held up her hands and wiggled her fingers stating, "Wild animals... We have everything from giant gorillas to dinosaurs on this planet called Earth, if you might know what those are, well, then you'd not want to tangle with them. I mean, I can beat them." She stated as she placed her left hand on her chest. "But based on that power level reading I got from you just now I wonder if you can?"
While she spoke Holly felt a horde of insects land on her back. They climbed on her shoulder where they sat for a moment before they started to glow. Holly knew they were definitely headed towards the forest thanks to the fact she recognized these little ones as fireflies. Their luminescent glow bathed the area in a bright yellow light and mixed in with the setting sun over the horizon.
Not wanting to kill them she carefully brushed them off then continued to walk towards her home hoping Nai-Ran was going to follow her. Holly's feet planted themselves upon the earth she trudged another one hundred feet through the rising, dense jungle pushing fronds aside. Based on the heat now beginning to climb around them and the foliage slowly surrounding her she knew she was getting very close to her home. At which point she knew she would need to part ways with the serpentine girl Nai-Ran.

”Hmm... I’ve never even heard of an animal with such a name. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not I’m a worthy opponent for such a beast. Thanks for the warning though,” Nai-Ran replied with a shrug of her shoulders. The thought of these fearsome animals roaming around after dark actually served to pique her interest. At the risk of sounding like a simpleton, she wondered if such creatures would be fit to eat. Nai-Ran still needed to gather food. Judging from the way Houri spoke about them, they sounded quite large. Not only would the young Ryashi woman be able to test her strength against a new opponent, she would probably be getting quite a bit of meat upon her victory. Perhaps she might have to try waiting until nightfall the next time she went hunting.
The serpentine lass smiled as she saw a small swarm of insects perch upon Houri’s back. The small creatures had a charming, yellow glow to them that seemed to accentuate the sky’s vibrant colors. They reminded her of the glow worms from back home that gave off a soft green light when the sun went down. ”I think they like you,” Nai-Ran commented as Florian gently brushed them away. The tiny insects took to the air and vanished into the thick jungle that stood in front of them.
As the two of them continued to move forward, Nai-Ran noticed that it was starting to warm back up again. While it was a pleasant change, it wasn’t a dry heat like what she was used to. Still, a little humidity was better than it being cold. There was thick plant life that grew all around them. It was practically obscuring their vision. She would have to come back another day to explore more thoroughly. This planet had such a diverse set of biomes!
”About how much further is it?” she asked her new friend, ducking out of the way of a low hanging branch.

Holly listened to comments after she explained things to Nai-Ran and wondered if the fire flies that landed on her did so because they 'liked her'. But all this was soon lost to thought as the jungle grew up around her and began to make her sweat. She looked down at the fanny pack she carried and unstrapped it, dropping it on the floor of the jungle before turning once more to answer Nai-Ran with, "We have about another half mile to go. Please bear with me. The trip's not much longer. I'll see us there, but before we continue further could you burn my baggage?"
It was important that Nai-Ran did. The reason being Holly had no need for her fanny pack filled with human tools anymore. She had taken her scouter out of it and still had it attached to her head as it hung directly over her left eye with its green screen poised on the things around her.

They young Ryashi woman raised an eyebrow as she looked down at the fanny pack that had been tossed to the ground. ”Burn?” she repeated, confusion evident in her voice. Nai-Ran didn’t have any control over heat. Even if she did, it was a rather odd request to make out of the blue like that. ”Why ever would I do that?”
Nai-Ran carefully picked the bag up off of the ground and looked back to her friend. She studied her for a few moments and guessed that she may have still been a bit worn out from her earlier trek through the desert. The two of them hadn’t rested for very long at all when they had first arrived at the stream. ”Is it becoming a burden to you? If that’s the case, I wouldn’t mind carrying in. The heat doesn’t bother me, remember? It’s a little damp for my tastes, but it isn’t any trouble,” Nai-Ran assured her as she slung the pack over her shoulder. She supposed she could always disintegrate the bag with her ki if Houri was truly insistent that she do so. However, if it was just a case of feeling tired, she saw no reason to waste whatever supplies she had tucked away in the fanny pack.
Half a mile wouldn’t be so bad as long as Houri’s stamina held up. Nai-Ran was still worried about her. ”So, what was it that brought you so far away from home in the first place?” she asked as they continued to move closer and closer to their destination. Maybe if she kept her talking, it would help keep her mind off of how fatigued she must have been feeling.

"It's not that I-" Holly began to say, but she stopped when she realized Nai-Ran was picking up the pack for her. It was awfully kind, something Holly had felt she was lacking during their current trip. She led Nai-Ran though down the increasingly downward sloping path before them while answering her with the words, "I suppose I left home because I felt I wanted an adventure. I came to find fighting off the everyday logging and bulldozing company rather boring. They'd always bring in their machines and I or my fellow Florians would have to harass them to keep them from bulldozing down the forest."
Houri shrugged and said, "Course, we did this as a favor to them. If they got really deep into the jungle they'd be surprised by what they'd find. Dinosaurs... Giant Gorillas... But most importantly fifty foot tall women and men who could at will crush their little machines."
She clasped her palms together before rubbing her hands saying, "I have a friend named Calla Lily. She's a village guard that helps keep wild animals away. The reason she is one is because she's able to do what I just described through special transformation called Hatsuiku or 'Physical Growth'. I could too if I had the power, however, I'm a weakling and a half-breed. So I'm really unsure about the limits of my power."
After saying this Holly shut up and led them to a large pool with a waterfall. The water pooled at the bottom swirling in a dangerous vortex as the sound of rushing water thudded down upon the pool. Looking straight up she voiced as she pointed to the top of the falls directly at the cliff face behind the gushing water. "This is the last place we've got to travel through. It's a half mile climb up the falls to the top."
She pointed at the rocks behind the waterfall, rocks colored in a strange blue dye. "We can use those, they are foot holds to the top."
Turning to Nai-Ran she voiced, "Or... If you want, I can grow us a tree to the top, however, that might take some time. The best thing for us to do right now might just be to call up to the top and see if my friend's up there. She can then climb down the water fall in her super sized mode, carry us up, and save us some time."
