Raisu sighed. They were going in circles over and over again, like some kind of dance. It was understandable, but frustrating. It was almost silly of him to be so dumbfounded. Crash land on a foreign planet and immediately let your guard down around a stranger? That could not possibly go wrong. If only life worked that way. But no harm it repeating oneself.
"I'm here to help."
He took a deep breath. Okay, maybe he should change course here. Get him talking. Maybe that would take him off edge.
"Where did you come from?"

Polar raised a brow at this inquiry. Had news of Kanassa nor Arcose had spread yet? Earth, of course, had always been a bit out of touch with galactic events, but this...this seemed like too much to hide from even them.
"Planet Kanassa," he said vaguely. He didn't divulge the details. Not yet, at least.
For the moment, things were quiet. How long would it last, though? He took the opportunity to take in his surroundings and assess the situation. The pod had left a mini-crater, indicating it fell straight down and didn't run into any obstacles. They were in a clearing in the middle of the forest, so no trees were knocked down, nor a wildfire was ignited. However, if Raisu was able to notice it, who else would? Hopefully, Raisu would be the only responder, but he couldn't take the chance of any less-welcoming individuals discovering his presence here.

"Kanassa?"
He'd heard the name before. Arcosian Empire wasn't it? He knew that the Saiyans had been waging war recently, but now he supposed that tge war had finally come to a close. He looked at the alien, trying to piece things together. Had he survived the fighting? Or did he flee before things got bad? He supposed it didn't matter, but it was food for thought.
"Alright, Planet Kanassa, got it. Are you the only survivor, or are there more?"
Perhaps he had friends coming. Or maybe not. Who knew what kind of events had lead up to his departure.

So she was figuring it out, Polar mused. Could he be trusted? Portraying himself as the lone prey could make things complicated. It was better to play it safe, right?
"There are more," the Arcosian bluffed.

Raisu nodded. It made sense for there to be more. How often were people wiped out completely? Raisu looked at him, the concern plain on his face.
"Do they need help?"
If the rest of their pods were like this one, things were going to be dicey for them. It was understandable. Refugees often didn't get to pick their escape. No, the disasters and attackers that move them often weren't that courteous. A shame, really. But, at least he could do something to alleviate that.

Polar chose not to respond to that, turning away in silence, indicating he had no knowledge, nor did he want to discuss it.
Suddenly, his scouter lit to life over his eye and starting making an audible beeping sound. He looked up into the air and found his eyes bulging out of his head. There were three power levels coming this way; two of them were ten thousand, and one twenty thousand. And almost as quickly as he scanned them, they landed right in front of them. Three armored men, with a sky blue and white color scheme. On their breastplates was some sort of insignia and the letters 'BB'.
"Blue Banner Army!" cried the man with the twenty thousand PL, apparently their leader, "You're under investigation."
The other two held their hands up, ready to fire their Ki, as the captain approached Polar, much to his chagrin.
"A Changeling," the captain spit in disgust. With no other word, the captain approached Polar's pod and examined it closely. "Pod is in illegal condition. That's a two thousand Zeni fine."
The captain raised his head up, having sufficiently examined the innards of the pod. "I'm sure that nice bounty the Saiyans have on the changelings will pay for it nicely."
Polar gritted his teeth. I knew it! he reflected in a rare fit of anger. He glanced over at Raisu, feeling somewhat betrayed by the woman he met only moments prior. "That's why you came."

Raisu threw his hands up. The Blue Banner army? What were they doing here? Had they sensed the alien as well? Or perhaps their radar has picked up on the pod's entry. Either way, this was not what he had been expecting. How had he not sensed their power levels? It was painfully obvious now. This is what he got for not being focused. He looked around. Fighting the army wasn't a good idea, but neither was leaving the alien at their mercy.
"Look, sir, this is all a big misunderstanding? Can't you just let us go?"
It was worth a shot at least.

The usually calm Polar wasn't so patient as Raisu, and sent a charged Death Beam that struck one of the soldiers and sent him falling onto his back.
"Terminate with extreme prejudice," ordered the captain to the other soldier, "Lethal force is authorized." The soldier obliged, and attacked Polar. Meanwhile, the captain turned to Raisu, and immediately noticed his tail. "What do we have here? One of you Saiyans, eh? A bit squeamish for a monkey, aren't you?" The captain seemed to have taken notice of Raisu's demeanor, and quickness to surrender. "Get out of here, kid. I won't tell you twice."
Polar parried the incoming punch launched by the BBA soldier and counterattacked with a swift kick to the jaw. He followed up with a eye laser that blew the soldier's helm and revealed his face; a human with a ginger buzzcut and stubbly face. The human headbutted Polar, momentarily dazing him and allowing him to send a Ki-blast at the Arcosian, which launched him into a tree.
The impact knocked the bark off the tree, and left a dent from where Polar hit it. With Polar sitting there, seemingly incapacitated, the soldier approached with discretion and an extended hand, ready to firing the killing blow. Polar merely looked up at the human. Panicked, he fired all he had toward the alien.
Polar's plan had worked. Having bolted into the air, he watched the human's Ki strike right into the tree's weak point. Before he knew it, the mighty oak tree toppled and pinned the soldier.
Slowly, the Arcosian's feet gently sat down onto the fallen trunk, and he looked down onto the flailing human.

It all happened so fast. The alien had attacked, but the captain had so calmly ordered the alien's death, even turning to Raisu as if nothing had happened. The captain had noted his Saiyan heritage and made a comment on it. Squeamish? Certainly, Raisu was opposed to unneeded violence, but he wasn't scared to act if need be. It was just that this was one of those moments where talking might be best. There was a wounded man here, and maybe more. Fighting would solve nothing.
The captain told him to leave, dismissing him as if he were a child. Raisu gritted his teeth. He'd not leave the alien with them. Not while there was still a chance to help. Raisu began to think, trying to brew some idea that could end this all peacefully, despite the violence raging already. Raisu found himself paralyzed as he watched the alien look down on a soldier he had subdued.
No, he thought, don't let it be like this.
"Stop!" Raisu shouted, his voice shrill with a mix of fear and bubbling anger. He'd have to cool that, or else he might go too far.
He looked between the gathered fighters.
"No one has to die."

The captain crossed his arms, looking from Polar back to Raisu through his faceless visor. "I don't like to repeat myself." He extended his hand toward the Saiyan and fired a Dodan ray to attempt to incapacitate the girl. Polar looked up and caught sight of the event just as it happened and darted toward him. Despite his best efforts, however, Polar was caught by his horn, and thrown rather easily onto the ground nearby.
He glanced up at his opponent, and gripped his teeth. On the other hand, the soldier was ruthless and impersonal, extending his hand to finish the job, much like the soldier from earlier. However, he didn't fire (seemingly having learned his lesson from watching the soldier's zealous efforts). This gave Polar ample time to power up. The muscles in his arms, legs, and upper body suddenly swelled to an enormous size and his bioarmor expanded. His horns curved in the shape of a bull's. Standing at a good seven feet, the Arcosian towered over the Blue Banner soldier who, strangely enough, was allowing this to happen and even lowered his arms.
"Huh..." scoffed the captain, "So that's where Changeling comes from. Well, try as you might, alien, I wasn't made Captain in the Blue Banner Army because I look pretty." Spreading his arms apart, his arms began to electrify with Ki-power.

The captain had fired his own attack at Raisu, some sort of ray of energy. It came at Raisu fast, but not fast enough. Raisu tightened his muscles, preparing for a burst of speed. He'd learned this technique for just this sort of occasion. He saw the world slow before him and then it began to blur together. He moved with such speed, it was as if there was a fire burning in his muscles. This was the afterimage technique, and it had finally come in handy.
As the beam flew past him, the heated air from the captain's attack still felt warm against his skin. That had been a close shave. And Raisu's eyes fell on something monstrous: the alien had begun to shift and change before his eyes, becoming some sort of monster, his height and body swelling to new levels. Was this one of their powers?
But there was no time to wonder at this new metamorphosis. The captain seemed to keep his cool, ready for anything. The mind of a hardened soldier was to be feared, it seemed. The captain cracked with energy, as if preparing some devastating blow.
Damn, thought Raisu. And then he panicked. He'd kick himself later for this, but it had to be done. His arm flew up and the other came up to brace it. He had to answer force with force. There was no intent to kill, but he just wanted to cause some break in the fighting.
White light crackled and gathered in his hand before bolting towards the captain. It was Raisu's own Intensified Starlight Beam.

Polar seemed to match the captain's cold demeanor, and took a defensive position. However, it seemed ultimately unnecessary, as the Arcosian caught a glimpse of the action that unfolded between his arms. Polar turned his head to see the source of the attack; the Earthling. On his own, the 'Earthling' was rather weak. However, he struck just as the captain charged it, effectively causing his own power to backfire.
His armor chipped and cracked, the captain ripped his busted helm off his head, revealing the face of a blond-haired human male. That is, save for his right eye, which had the skin around it ripped to shreds. Rather than blood and flesh, though, there was metal and oil running down his cheek. He wiped it with his white gloves and glanced at it. "Thirty six thousand, eh?" the android captain mocked. He took a brief glance at the Saiyan. "You're gonna pay dearly for that, girly. I don't give a damn what the Saiyans think."
The android clutched his fists and bent his knees, and sparks of electricity began flying in the air around him, almost in orbit. His power level began to sky rocket.
Twenty-five thousand. Thirty thousand. Forty thousand. It kept going higher and higher before it finally came to a steady halt at approximately sixty thousand. Polar merely stood in bewilderment, gasping at the bombshell in before him. He couldn't help but gasp. Sixty thousand just seemed like an impossibility. No one on Earth could be that strong. And yet he was seeing it himself.
"Truly remarkable, I have to admit," Polar finally said, keeping his head cool. Though there was room in there for a quip, he restrained himself. Polar absolutely hated one-liners.
He glanced back at the hovering Earthling out of the corner of his eye and turned his head slightly, and wordlessly acknowledged their necessary alliance.

The captain withstood Raisu's attack, even if it hit. And something more terrifying was revealed: the man was an android. That would explain why he was able to truck that blast. But then he said something that struck a chord within Raisu: he had called him a girl. Why did everyone say that? His blood rose and surged to his face. These people were blind!
And Raisu would have to beat some sense into them. He'd fought androids before. This was just another to take down. Even if he was coming at this foe blind.
He glanced at the alien and nodded, dropping into a low fighting stance. The weights would only restrain him, but whatever. He welcomed a challenge.

Polar, again, was the first to attack. This time, he lunged forward in an attempt to punch the his vastly more powerful opponent across the face. However, once again the captain flipped the Arcosian over his shoulder, though this time the brute dragged across the dirt. With the android's back turned to him, Polar blasted a laser from his eyes that hit the machine directly in the back of this head. Much to his chagrin, however, it did little good, and it seemed to only anger the captain further. The android extended his hand up in the air, charged a basketball-sized Crusher Ball, and tossed it to the Arcosian. Seeming too fast for Polar to dodge, it created a massive explosion on impact with the ground near him. The satisfied machine then turned back to Raisu, grinning.
"Now, where were we?"
Almost as if teleporting (he was that fast), the android began his offense on Raisu, first attempting to make an uppercut with his foot.

The arcosian made a valiant effort, but the android seemed to shrug it off. What kind of power did he have? To shrug all that off was madness. And then he came to Raisu, a swift blow in the form of a kick. He moved fast, too fast. No way to dodge. Raisu would just have to stand and take it. But there would be little standing today. The kick sent Raisu flying into the air, as if some kind of doll. The world swayed around him as he hurtled back to Earth, landing hard in the dirt. But there was no time to waste: he jumped to his feet and ran at the android. The android only smirked, as if ready for him, but Raisu had at least one idea. He dropped and slid towards the android, leg extended. He'd try and take the android off balance. After all, good balance was key to a fighting stance.
