"During... and after." Taiga muses. How his vengeance would be had, is something the Arcosian will enjoy planning and putting into motion... Taiga levitates off the floor and gestures at Polar. "Come. We continue the lesson from yesterday."
Taiga suddenly rockets out through the gaping hole that used to be the observatory window. He flies far from the command center, and lands on a small island. He waits for Polar so that they may continue training.
Sorry about the micro-post. I will have much more to write once we get started.

"No rest for the wicked."
Polar crossed his arms, and bolted after Taiga. Within minute, he was far from the command center and hovering over a small island. An island on a supposedly barren world. And yet here he was, standing over a body of water. Polar swore to himself that it had to be the only body of water he saw on in the entire planet.
Slowly, the Arcosian drifted in for a landing, with his arms crossed, glancing around at the rocky structure he stood on.
"Where are we?"

Taiga looks sideways at Polar.
"We are nowhere in particular." he replies smoothly. Taiga turns to face Polar fully; his expression seems to have lightened. "In the training chamber, you showed me that you had skill with your Ki based attacks. However, you also showed it to be your preferred method of fighting. Against the Saiyans, that will not be enough."
Taiga takes off his scouter and places it lightly on a smooth, flat boulder, and takes several paces away.
"Now, you and I shall work on your hand to hand combat skill." Taiga explains. "I will not actively attack you; I will focus on defending against your strikes; I shall also randomly counter your moves. As we progress, I will counter you more and more. You have one goal in this session; you have to successfully strike me here." Taiga points at his left cheek. "So then, whenever you're ready."

Polar nodded obediently, lowering his arms to his side. He clenched his fist, his feet slowly drifting off the ground. And then, like a speeding bullet, the Arcosian charged toward Taiga, with a left hook aimed for the spot that Taiga demanded.

Taiga drops into his fighting stance as Polar launches towards him. He raises his left hand, placing his open palm to intercept Polar's fist. He wraps his fingers around Polar's hand, and pivots on his right foot, pushing Polar's fist away and shifting his position next to the latter. Taiga back-peddles several steps and waits for Polar's next move.

Polar looked in surprise at Taiga was able to defense against such a quick attack; and with almost no effort, no less. The little red man easily pushed Polar right back to where he was prior. It was as if nothing ever happened. In fact, he was further now than he was before!
The Arcosian corporal leaped high into the air, and charged down toward his opponent foot-first.

Taiga's eyes follow Polar's movements, and rather than dodge, Taiga reaches up with his left arm, bending it at the elbow to place his forearm directly over his head horizontally to block Polar's descending kick. Swiftly, Taiga uses that arm to grab Polar's leg and throws his Corporal at a large boulder. The force of the throw would be enough to crack the boulder, but not so much that Polar could not break the momentum and stop before hitting it.
Taiga's tail flicks left to right, his eyes focused entirely on Polar.

Once again, his attacks did nothing to weaken or slow down Taiga. For a moment, Polar was convinced that the man had to be a statue, considering how stoic he was. Not an inch of his body moved during the attack. Then the commander grasped the corporal's leg and tossed him straight into a nearby boulder.
Panting, Polar charged once more, this time trying to gain an advantage through barrage attacks. He threw a punch at his superior, knowing that the man would easily block it. As he did this, he attempted to do a sweep that could take Taiga off his feet.

Taiga raises his right hand to intercept Polar's punch with his open palm, pushing it away from himself. He bends his knees, bracing himself for the impact of Polar's kick. He allows himself to be flipped to the side, and then spins in the air, bringing his thick tail around and down to strike Polar's right shoulder. He thrusts his left hand down, slapping in palm on the ground and stopping himself from falling before lashing out with his left foot aimed at Polar's chest.

The attack worked as planned, though Taiga's counterattack was swift and unexpected. Taiga's tail struck Polar like a whip, causing him the grunt in pain. Grasping his shoulder with his left hand, he watched as the crimson Arcosian dropped to the ground and brought his foot forward.
Polar fell back--but not before grasping Taiga's red leg with his tail. In mid-air, Polar suddenly bolted upward, hopefully holding onto his opponent as he went.

Smartly, Polar grabbed his leg and took off. Taiga is dragged through the air as Polar takes off. He twists his body rapidly, bending his knee and swinging the leg Polar grabbed with his tail; if Polar keeps his grip, Taiga's strength would likely pull him back and whip him off Taiga's leg.

Polar felt Taiga resisting his grip. Initially, he tried to hold him in place, but the Arcosian proved too powerful for him to resist. So instead, he opted to release him, hopefully causing him to fall. Then the corporal rushed Taiga, following up with a swift punch aimed for the jaw, and finally, another strike from his fist aimed for his target.

Polar releases him, rather than be pulled into the counter maneuver Taiga attempted. But Taiga doesn't fall, instead, he rockets backwards through the air. Polar quickly catches up with him, and Taiga whips his open palm up to block the strike aimed at his jaw, and uses his right knee to block the other fist.
After which, Taiga flies faster away from Polar and lands on a distant plateau. He looks up at Polar, smiling. He raises his left hand, and tauntingly gestures for Polar to come at him.

Polar gritted his teeth and flew toward Taiga. He levitated in front of Taiga, and begun spinning like a saw with the intent to hit Taiga each time with his extent tail.
As he precipitated these attacks, he followed up with a kick meant to strike Taiga across the face.

Taiga is surprised by Polar's change in technique. He had just been starting to think that he should reprimand his ally for not using everything at his disposal, but this was a pleasant change. Taiga raises his forearms and crosses then at his side, blocking the whipping tail. However, he all too late notices the sudden kick aimed at his face.
Taiga feels the pressure of Polar's kick against the side of his head, forcing Taiga a step back. Taiga looks back at Polar and smiles; his face sporting a small bruise, but only superficial.
"Better." Taiga praises, straightening himself and brushing dust off his armor. Taiga clasps his hands behind his back, and gives Polar an appraising glance. "Much better. You learn quickly."
Taiga turns and levitates slowly into the air, and heads back to the area where his scouter lay. Taiga lands and picks it up, affixing it to his ear. Presuming Polar followed him, Taiga speaks again.
"Polar... Our people have been reduced to barely a handful." Taiga says suddenly. He looks at his fellow Arcosian. "But, I have a plan in mind that just may keep our race alive. And until such time comes that it need be implemented, I will need you at my side. We must stand together, or perish, as the Saiyans once did."
