Riku awoke in the morning, his back stiff from sleeping on the grass. He stood, realizing that his long nap helped him recover his ki and he felt great. He grabbed his bag and his sword and flung it over his back. "Well, guess it's time to keep heading to the capitol!" Riku leaped into the air and began to fly through the sky at a good speed. The morning always made him feel good, especially when he had just awoken from a good nap. He looked ahead of him and saw that the forest was coming to an end and he got excited, wondering what was beyond the forest. He reached its end and he saw what appeared to be a relatively small town, not densely populated it seems. He wanted to have a look and make sure he was going in the right direction. He descended and landed in the middle of a street, eyes gazing at the mysterious young warrior who had just come out of the sky. Riku found the village to be in much better condition then the village he had seen where he had killed the Blue Banner fool. That reminded him, he wanted to know more about the Blue Banner Army, especially the leader. Riku walked along the streets and suddenly he heard an old lady speaking about some sort of folklore legend crap. He approached the scene, a few of the townspeople had also joined in. She spoke of battles from what Riku could hear. He got closer and focused his hearing on the lady, wondering what exactly she was saying.
"Out in the city, the capitol, yes North Capitol it is, there is a perilous danger! Beware fellow townspeople, there's a young man out there that's planning on world domination, he even destroyed Namek, yes many of you probably don't know but Namek is a planet for the Namekian race, or the "slug planet" as some people refer to it. The man wants these magical balls called Dragon Balls that apparently grant the person who gathers all 7 a wish. He broadcasted a while back that if there was resistant he could destroy us all, even destroy Earth! For those of you heading over there, it would be best to not go, your life would be in grave danger. However, a group of mighty warriors are there defending our planet! With our faith in them, they can beat this menace!"
The lady's preaching was cut off by a man in the crowd who seemed afraid of something. He stepped out and stood facing the crowd and projected his voice. "Listen all, and listen well. This man who plans on world domination is not man it seems, but rather machine. From what I could gather from those brave warriors, that man has a power level of over 5 million. Yes, 5 million. Some of you are looking at me like 5 million is nothing big... You're idiots. With that power he could wipe the city, this town, and the planet out with one blast. Those warriors...none of them match that kind of power, not even close. Their best bet is to work together, but even that doesn't guarantee victory... Nobody who wants to die should head over to the north, and it sounds like there won't be any destruction of the world for now, they might go off to have a series of matches to see if anyone can match this machine's power." The man stopped there and started to walk away from the scene. Riku looked at him and noticed that he wasn't human... Something about him gave him a sense that he could be a saiyan... Possibly... Riku began to walk after the man and yelled for him to turn around. The man swiftly turned and his eyes fixated on the young Saiyan calling him. The man inspected Riku from head to toe and grinned, " So you're a Saiyan aren't you?" Riku stared at him a bit surprised, "How did you... How could you tell I'm a Saiyan?" The man laughed and led Riku to a table setup with two chairs across from each other.
"Look here my friend, your power level compared to these people is well beyond significant. Hm.. I can tell that you seem to be a fighter, and I'm assuming you had the intention of going to the Capitol to face off against that machine? Forget it boy, although here your power level stands out, over there you would be a sheep among wolves."
Riku took in the man's words and he half shook his head and half nodded at him. "I wasn't planning on it... I actually didn't know that there was anything happening in the Capitol... All I was going to do is slaughter the Blue Banner Army..." The man stared at Riku like he was a complete idiot. "Hey, what's your name? I'm Tyezo. As for what you just said... Are you crazy? The Blue Banner Army isn't a simple military force! They were specifically designed to be capable of killing ki users. One other thing, from the info I got that stupid machine has some type of connection with the BBA. Your best bet would be to leave the planet and get stronger. Go to your home, Planet Vegeta." Riku at that moment assured himself Tyezo was a Saiyan. "You're a Saiyan aren't you, Tyezo?" Tyezo chuckled and stared at Riku a bit surprised. "What gave it away? For all I know I don't have a tail do I?" Riku nodded and smirked. "Let's just say I see that you have a very large power level, larger than mine." Riku was bluffing, big time. He couldn't sense power levels like that, he had never bothered to learn how. Tyezo didn't know that of course, so Riku hoped he would buy it. Tyezo nodded buying the bluff, " You're right I am a Saiyan and my power level is larger than even yours, but I can already sense you'll surpass me quick." Riku grinned as his bluff worked wonders. He got up and looked at Tyezo, "I'm Riku, and I want to have a spar with you, Tyezo. What do you say?" Riku took his wide fighting stance. Tyezo stood and vanished instantly, but Riku had better instincts than that and turned around swiftly and threw a punch. The punch struck the reappearing Tyezo right the in the stomach, taking the air out of him, but only for a second. With amazing speed Tyezo elbowed Riku in the stomach and gave him a big uppercut sending Riku flying into the air. Riku stopped himself in mid air and smiled at the good hit but he quickly flew down and threw a punch at Tyezo aiming straight for his face. Tyezo lifted his forearm and the punch collided with it, causing a burst of power to be released into the air. Tyezo chuckled seeing that somehow Riku wasn't fighting seriously, not even close to it... Or maybe Riku had some hidden power he hadn't yet recognized. "Tell me, Riku. How seriously are you taking this spar?" Riku laughed and flew back keeping distance between them, "Eh, I really ain't fighting at full power right now, so not all that serious. I mean, it is just a spar isn't it?" Tyezo grinned and started walking to Riku. "You'd better start fighting seriously... Cause sparring with me means you need to push yourself to the limit!" Tyezo was suddenly engulfed in a shining blue aura and he dashed at Riku, his speed almost too fast for Riku to keep up with. Tyezo launched a punch and Riku lifted his arms in an attempt to weaken the blow but the impact sent him screeching backward on the ground, his feet leaving a long line in the ground. Without noticing Tyezo appeared in front of him and punched his gut making him hunch over and then kicked him, sending him crashing into a house. Tyezo chuckled, "I thought I told you to fight seriously, Riku. You're disappointing if that was being serious." Tyezo turned his back to the boy stuck under the rubble.
The earth started to tremble where Riku was buried, the rubble on top of him shaking. The young Saiyan's red aura sent the rubble flying everywhere. "Get back here!" Riku moved at a speed that was much faster than Tyezo and kicked him down before he could turn around. Tyezo stood, already groggy from the kick's impact. He turned to Riku and his aura returned and he went for a punch which Riku simply blocked with his arm, and then more punches came, a series of them at every angle and Riku simply kept blocking them. As the speed of the assault continued Riku's hands became more and more adept at blocking them. Suddenly with incredible speed and strength Riku blocked a punch and struck Tyezo in the stomach, making him cough up blood. Smiling as though he was giving Tyezo the seriousness he wanted, Riku uppercut him the same way Tyezo had done to him, but with double the power. Tyezo went flying into the sky and Riku vanished, appearing above him and cupped his hands and smacked him back down, sending Tyezo like a nuke into the ground. Tyezo coughed as he lay on the floor and stared at Riku who started to descend next to him. As soon as Riku was in reach, Tyezo kicked up and threw a ferocious punch that landed directly on Riku's jaw. Riku's face turned from the punch, but he only chuckled, bringing it back to position and kneed Tyezo in the gut. Riku backed away and stood arms open. "Hit me with a ki blast! Hit me with a ki attack, Tyezo! I want to see if i can whisthand it!" Tyezo pulled his arm in to his hip and charged his ki. "Take this!" Tyezo growled as the blue ki wave bursted out of his extended palm, heading straight for Riku. Riku held his arms up in a cross formation and took the blast head on. He grunted as the blast started to push him back, bit by bit.Riku growled loudly as he started pushing back, moving forward and making the blast move with him. He undid the cross formation and flung his arms out, deflecting the blast and sending it far from the town. Tyezo's eyes widened seeing the young Saiyan's power. He was already surpassing him, in the middle of a spar as well. Riku stood straight his hands at his sides and closed them into fists.
"Explosive Burst..."- Riku muttered.
Riku dashed, his speed too quick to be followed. Instantly Riku landed a series of punches from every angle at Tyezo who put his arms up trying to block the hits but to no avail for they all connected perfectly. Riku through one last punch and suddenly stopped it, his hand stuck in mid air. Tyezo put his arms down, a very bad mistake. Riku had intended that, so he could finish this spar up. Riku delivered his red ki blast which sent Tyezo tumbling down. Tyezo stayed thrown on the floor, his body in pain from Riku's attacks. He realized no matter how much more he fought Riku, he was already becoming inferior to him, it seemed that battle brought out Riku's potential. He stood and raised his hands, signaling the end of their spar.
Riku's aura vanished from around him and he smirked at Tyezo, he was obviously enjoying the fact that he overpowered him. He walked to Tyezo and extended his hand out, a gesture of good sportsmanship. Tyezo grinned, one hand holding his still hurting abdomen and the other interlocking with Riku's.
"Damn... You sure as hell put up a fight, Riku. I had a feeling you weren't showing your full power but wow, I didn't expect this display of it. You're the clear victor, even though this was just a spar."
Riku's grin widened hearing Tyezo's words. "Yeah... I actually didn't see me unleashing that power either... I knew I wasn't fighting at full power in the beginning but I didn't know this was the power I was reserving... It's incredible!" Tyezo nodded, but he noticed the boy was taking the power to his head and he knew he thought about going to the capitol. "Yeah, that's some power, but listen. You're only just realizing you have potential, and that's great, but if you think you can take on all of the Blue Banner Army and that tin can in North Capitol you're crazy. Your power level needs to be boosted by millions of times to be able to just match the tin cans power level. Hell... Even if you unlocked that legendary "Super Saiyan" form you still wouldn't have enough to beat the bastard without help." Riku made a confused face at the words "Super Saiyan". He had never been explained what that was by Kio. "What's a super saiyan? It sounds like a saiyan that's just stronger." Tyezo nodded, obviously knowing the boy was never told that there were few in his race who had in the past achieved this legendary state.
"Super Saiyan is a state in which a Saiyan awakens his inner warrior, a state where the Saiyan's eyes turn teal and their hair goes into larger spikes and turns golden. The transformation basically makes the Saiyan's power level skyrocket. However, the transformation isn't simply unlocked by the want or the desire to become one, but has to happen in a dire situation or needs to be triggered somehow. Many of the old Super Saiyan's of legend became what they were mostly by anger or being in a situation where they needed to push themselves in order to overcome something. This is what has been known so far, but not all people react to the same things, you never know."
Riku began to go deep into thought about the topic... A super saiyan...? Could he become one some day? Maybe if he worked hard enough his power could help him become a super saiyan! But the part about triggering the transformation... He didn't know how he would do that but it would occur when the time came. For now he knew he was way too weak to be able to hold that transformation. He needed to become stronger and that made him wonder... What was his next move? Tyezo suggested going to Vegeta to become stronger, but he couldn't leave Earth like that, this was his home. He looked at Tyezo realizing he was still there. "Tyezo... Could you do me a favor?" Tyezo nodded. "Promise me you won't die while I'm gone? Don't let the planet get blown up either, I'll kill you in otherworld if you do. One last thing, when I get back... After I wipe out the Blue Banner Army and if that machine is still alive I'll kill it too... But after that's done with, you better have trained hard, cause I wanna kick your ass again." Riku grinned as he looked at Tyezo. "Hehe... You can count on it Riku! I'll do everything I can to protect this planet and don't worry, once you come back we'll battle and I'll kick your ass." Riku chuckled and flew into the air and said his goodbye. He pulled out a remote, placing in coordinates and it seemed like the young Saiyan had made up his mind, he was going to Vegeta. He flew to the pod that had landed a bit outside of the town and he threw his bag in and slowly looked around, taking in the sight of his beloved planet one more time... It would be very long until he came back... Considering there was an Earth he could come back to... He pushed the thought away and hoped that the warriors fighting that evil machine would win the battle... Or at least that they would hold on until he became a Super Saiyan, even though he would still be no real match for it, if he joined in the warriors would have a much better chance at victory.
