Weapons are as strong as the person wielding them, don't really give any mechanical upside toward non-weapon users, but having techniques that infuse your Ki through your weapons are a-okay! There's a bunch of people here who use weapons, and infuse them with their Ki for cool techniques, so I'm 99,99% you're good to go on that part.

You can use whatever weapons you want, but as said here, your weapons are only as good as your PL.
