(OOC: Hope that I'm okay to post here!)
So this was Blue Banner Army Site A. First impression? Hectic. There seemed to be children playing about but, judging by the apparent theme of the people around this group, it wasn’t a very large leap in logic to assume they were androids or otherwise bionically-enhanced lifeforms. Ruby kept quiet, following behind Cipher 24 towards the mess hall.
Ultimately, being here meant that Ruby was a soldier again, albeit now boasting more enhancements than she’d possessed in her “previous” life. The Blue Banner Army wasn’t a particularly old organization but it amassed a lot of weight and influence during her recovery and reconstruction. She understood the mission statement and, though so-called “magical artifacts” held no interest to her, any organization dedicated to the protection and security of the Earth appealed to her.
Ki Assault Operations Squad, that’s what KAOS stood for. Her bionic enhancements and word of what she’d accomplished with them spread in a very short amount of time. Slaughtering the scum infesting this world, the sort of criminal element that cannot be reasoned or bargained with, that was how the red-eyed cyborg made herself known to the world. Someone like her, who didn’t tolerate those who prey upon the weak and defenseless, probably caught the attention of the BBA. It was advantageous to ally with them.
Ruby’s red lips tightened slightly as she continued to follow a few feet behind the dark-haired man. She hadn’t spoken a word beyond the necessary introductions and interview process since she’d joined KAOS. In all honesty, she preferred to keep to herself when not called upon to practice or sent on-duty.
Finally, they came to the mess hall. Ruby heard her superior’s family members before he opened the doors. Charlene and her mother - Porsalynne, though Ruby hadn’t caught that name - didn’t exactly give the impression of order and structure, but they seemed to be having fun. Ruby supposed that couldn’t hurt. She looked to the young-looking blonde android, stepping forward to stand beside the dark-haired Cipher.
The cyborg in the red jacket didn’t say a word. Ruby tilted her head and brushed some of her blonde hair from her crimson eyes, looking at the small android and cracking her first smile for the day at her cute little greeting. Respectfully, she remained silent as she waited for Cipher to speak with his family. As expected, all those present were bionically enhanced to various levels.

Cipher had been charged with greeting and inducting the newest member into KAOS, the cyborg Ruby. She seemed capable enough, though much lower in power compared to himself and the senior members. But he didn't hold that against her. He was around her level when he joined the organization, and look where he was now. He had faith that Ruby would accomplish the same. Plus, she carried herself in a professional demeanor, which was a nice change compared to some of the people he's had to work with.
When he had entered the Mess Hall, he had gotten the impression that something had happened. Whether it be the sheepish looks on his girlfriend and daughter's faces, or the fact that two soldiers were literally restraining Charlene until moments ago. Though, judging by the lack of explosions that had occured, it didn't appear to be something serious.
He was quickly drawing a conclusion when the small android girl approached her and introduced herself. Cipher looked down at her, blinking in surprise. This was definitely not expected. What was a small android girl doing here? "Hello," he replied softly, crouching down so he was more level with her, "I am Cipher 24," he then remembered his company, "And this is Ruby. A new recruit in the BBA and a member of KAOS, the division I'm a part of." That last introduction was also for Porsalynne and Charlene as well. He turned his eyes back to Tania. "May I ask where you came from little one?"

A blonde lady had walked into the mess hall behind the guy with pale skin and moved to stand beside him once they had gotten close enough to talk comfortably. She was awfully quiet. However, she also had a smile on her face, so she must have been alright. The pale guy crouched down to Tania’s level and introduced himself as Cipher 24. The woman beside him was Ruby. ”Hi Cipher 24! Hi Ruby! Nice to meet ‘cha!” Tania greeted with the same cheeriness as she had introduced herself with. Apparently Ruby had just joined the BBA, though Tania had no idea what in the world KAOS was. Maybe it was something fun. The rest of what she had seen and heard about the BBA so far had been fun, so it made enough sense to her that whatever KAOS was would be the same.
”I come from all over the place! It’s part of being an adventurer,” Tania replied while pointing her thumb to her chest proudly. It really wasn’t too much of an accomplishment for her to be living her life as an adventurer since, as an android, she didn’t have the same needs as a human. As obsessed with sugary snacks as she was, the small girl didn’t actually need to eat anything, and she wasn’t too bothered by adverse weather conditions. Really the most she needed was to occasionally convince someone to allow her to sleep in their house for the night so she could recharge her internal battery with an electrical socket. ”But if you’re talking about how I got here, I was playing hide and seek with some kids and found a REALLY good hiding spot. But then that hiding spot started moving being a truck and all, so here I am! I’m just happy I got to keep playing.”
With a smile, Tania then turned to Charlene, Porsalynne, and the rest of the adults that were still standing around. ”And it was a super fun game. We should definitely play again sometime!” Who knew that getting a bunch of grownups involved in a round of hide and seek could spice the game up that much? It was way more tense than the normal version she p;ayed with the other kids.

Ruby nodded her head to the robotic child and knelt down slightly to meet her height, sticking her hand out for the cute little android. “It’s nice to meet you as well,” she replied, her smile widening slightly. She waited for the girl to shake and, unaccustomed to her newfound artificial strength, squeezed tight enough that it would harm a human child. She quickly released by reflex but, of course, this child would likely be unharmed by the simple handshake. Realizing this, she placed her hands on her knees and let out a relieved chuckle.
“An adventurer, hm?” asked the woman, the child’s enthusiasm making her face brighten further. She listened to the girl’s explanation, standing up as the small android said her goodbyes to Cipher’s family. Brushing her hair from in front of her eye, the blonde looked to her superior and waited politely for him to finish his conversation.

Cipher listened to the little girl's explanation. From all over the place? Just what had this little android gotten up to? It did remind him of his two years on his own, wandering around like a hobo. Though this little girl seemed to enjoy it, seeing it all as one big adventure. He couldn't help but envy her. As she explained how she got into the facility, he nodded. So, she came in with the tech delivery. Guess the men weren't paying attention when they brought the truck in. Still, she didn't seem to mind, and from her enthusiasm, she really liked this place. Kind of reminded him of Charlene in that regard.
"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed your little game. And I'm glad you like it here." Cipher couldn't help but smile. He noticed that Ruby was smiling too. Good to see that under that calm, professional exterior she held some of her humanity. Cipher cupped his chin as he pondered for a moment. "You know, maybe I can convince the Administrator to allow you to stay. I'm sure he wont mind. After all, my family's allowed to be here, and you're certainly no harm."
"Really dad?" Charlene pipped up, happy to hear that her new friend could stay, "That would be awesome! She has rocket fists and everything!"
Cipher tilted his head to the side. "Rocket fists huh?"
Charlene nodded, before her attention turned to Ruby. "So, you're the newbie to the group huh? Does that mean you have to listen to me?"
Cipher's eyes narrowed. "Charlene, you're not a member of the BBA. You listen to Ruby just like you would myself, Liang, the Administrator, or your mother. Especially your mother."
"Aw."

”That’s right!” Tania declared matter-of-factly in response to Ruby’s comment. The small girl eagerly shook the blonde KAOS recruit’s hand and gave it a shake. Wow! Her grip was really strong. She couldn’t even wiggle her fingers. It was a good thing that she was built to be far more durable than any normal human child or Ruby might have squished her fingers into mush, or at least she might have broken one or two of them.
”You should play with us next time. It was a lot of fun,” Tania said, turning back to Cipher 24. She was glad to see that she wasn’t the only one in a good mood. It seemed like everyone around her was smiling. Normally grownups looked so serious... It was a nice change of pace. What was even a nicer change of pace, however, was the offer for Tania to stay there. As much as she liked adventuring, the idea of having somewhere to come back to so she could relax and recharge sounded great. And the BBA were a fun group of folks so far. ”Oooh, really? That would be neat! I can help you look for magic stuff, too!” Tania squealed in delight. She didn’t know who ‘The Administrator’ was, but hopefully they were a nice enough person to say yes. The small girl was getting her hopes up about the idea.
”Yup yup! Watch this!” The synthetic child held out her right arm and balled up her fist. However, she hesitated a bit. There were people all around her. As enthusiastic as she was to do a little bit of showing off, Tania didn’t want to hurt anyone or break anything. Her face twisted into a pout before she looked up at the tall ceiling. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if she just put a teensy weensy bit of power into it. She lifted her right arm even higher, aiming at the ceiling at an angle that wasn’t quite right above her. ”Pow!” At her command, Tania’s arm detached itself from just below her shoulder and shot forward. It crashed against the ceiling with a loud THUNK before clattering back to the ground in between a couple of tables in the middle of the room.
Tania paused and looked around the room, scratching the back of her head with her left hand. ”Umm...” she spoke quietly. ”I’ll be right back.” With that, she scrambled her way over to her fallen arm so she could reattach it. Even as annoying as it was that her appendages rarely came back to her after firing them off like they were supposed to do, it was still so much fun to fire them off. She couldn’t help herself!

Seeing the adorable child’s rocket punch surprised Ruby, though she wore her emotions subtly. Her lips parted and her eyebrows raised slightly, a small gasp passing her lips. She turned and looked to where the arm fell and looked to the ceiling where it hit, thinking that it shouldn’t be so surprising that even an android like Tania would have some manner of defensive mechanisms built into her. It certainly seemed to make her happy, Ruby observed. Noticing the girl’s reaction, Ruby stood and watched her scramble over to the arm. For a brief moment, she was reminded of seeing a small boy’s arm blown off his body. She shook her head, trying to shake off the grisly image.
“That was impressive,” she said, walking over to the little android girl with a smile, “I hope you’ll be able to assist us.” Ruby meant what she said, though she really wouldn’t want to have to see a child — or a robot built to look like a child — ever have to engage in the sort of battles she’d seen and would probably continue to see so long as she remained a soldier.

Cipher knew a number of androids, and this was the first he had seen with a rocket punch. It was like something out of a cartoon show. While personally grateful he hadn't been given such a function (and now he made a personal not to ensure that he never was), watching Tania fire off her arm, completely with sound effect, was just adorable. Cipher followed Ruby over to the little android, nodding in agreement to her words.
"I hope so too," he said, giving Tania a warm smile before tilting his head in thought. "Now, the question is where are you going to stay? It wouldn't feel right to leave a little one such as yourself on her own."
"She could stay with us," Charlene spoke up, and he looked over to see Porsalynne with a warm smile on her face. Seems the rest of the family had warmed up to Tania very quickly. He glanced over at Ruby, noting the smile on her face as well.
"That's certainly a possibility." Cipher said, "Again, I'll have to speak with the Administrator. I'm sure he'll be ok with it though. In the meantime though, we probably should make our leave. It's getting close to lunch and this place will be packed. I can imagine numerous people wanting to meet our new arrival as well."

The synthetic child snatched up arm from middle of mess hall floor and quickly popped it back into place, adjusting it for a moment until she heard the solid click of the locking mechanism that kept it in place. That was the second time in several minutes that Tania had needed to reattach the darn thing. She was kind of tempted to fire it off a third time just to see if she could actually get it to come back on its own. It would have been a more impressive display than having to go get her arm back herself. She would have probably just gotten the same result though. The guidance system for her arms’ return function barely worked. It would just end up making her look silly.
Once the wayward limb was back in its proper place, Tania skipped back to Ruby and Cipher 24 who had decided to meet her half way. The pint sized android couldn’t stop grin from forming on her face as Ruby complimented her ability. ”Pretty neat, isn’t it? Bad guys don’t know what hit them when I fire it right at their faces,” she giggled with her hands on her hips and her chest sticking out triumphantly. Tooting her own horn wasn’t so bad every now and again. As much as she liked sweets, humble pie was bland and could be unsatisfying.
”Like a sleep over? That could be fun! All I need is an electrical outlet so I can recharge my internal battery,” Tania explained. This Administrator guy sounded reasonable by the way he was talked about. With a plan set to ask permission for her to stay at their next opportunity, the pale android man suggested that they took their leave of the mess hall for now. That was probably a good idea. She had already had her fun scaring the grownups that were trying to get the food ready. Besides, now she could have a look around Site A to plot out some better hiding spots for the next game! There was still a future table to plan for as well. Tania could tell that this was the start of something super awesome!
