Kayle's pod had been hurtling through space for a very long time. His injuries were healing over nicely, and he had plenty of time to reflect on what had happened. He wondered if he had made the right decision in leaving Vegeta, or if he had made a decision in the heat of the moment. He was frustrated. Very frustrated, and had left without even speaking to the new Queen. She could have been different. She could have seen his potential. Truth was, he never gave her the chance. Though the opposite could be true as well. She could have treated him without regard just like all the other saiyans. She could have ignored him like the last Queen did, especially since he had lost a fight to a human. Granted, the human was more powerful that a super saiyan, at least the two he had seen, but he was a human none the less. No one on Vegeta would believe a 'super human' existed anyway. It was impossible. Kayle had personally fought one, and he still barely believed it.
It didn't matter in the end. The real truth was that Kayle was just as much human as he was saiyan, and he needed power. Whether that be from the saiyan side or the human side, that did not matter. Kayle had decided to leave originally because he felt abandoned and that the 'dirt bloods' ,as they were so colorfully called by some, were treated worse than the aliens that they conquered sometimes, and Kayle thought this was a power issue. He needed the power to get hybrids the rights they deserved, even if that meant finding another planet for them to thrive on. He had seen the super saiyan, and it was powerful, but it was unimpressive to the super human he had seen. So to Earth to investigate he went.
Earth was just coming into view. The old space pod had taken its dear sweet time. Kayle was honestly surprised that he had even survived the trip with the pod in the state of disrepair that it was in. It was old and dented, and the navigation system barely worked. Kayle knew that this was going to be the pods last trip. Hell, he was surprised it was making this trip.
Earth was getting closer and closer. Kayle couldn't tell where on Earth he was going to land as the heads up display of the pod was on the fritz. He could see the planet through the small window, getting bigger and bigger as the pod flew through the vast emptiness of space. All of a sudden the pod began to shake vigorously, and Kayle knew that he had finally began to enter the atmosphere of the Earth, the planet he had not been on since he was a child. He could feel the intense pressure building on the outside of his space pod. The 'sky' began to change colors from the familiar black he had seen in space. Kayle expected this, as he knew the sun's light reflecting on the atmosphere changed the color of the sky on a planet, but he was a little taken off by the fact that it was slowly changing blue. He was little upset with himself because of this. He remember from his childhood that the sky of Earth of blue, but he had been on Vegeta for so long that he was just used to Pink. This all went away a few moments later, as the friction of the atmosphere caused heat and flames to burst around the pod. Luckily for Kayle, the heat sinks and internal cooling systems of the space pod still worked. It wouldn't be long now until he made land fall. The closer the pod came to earth, the more erratic the pod seemed to get. It shook so greatly that at on point Kayle thought the might come apart, and then BAM! A sudden impact and stop of movement meant that he was finally there. He was finally on Earth.
The pod had finally landed. Kayle waited patiently for a few moments for the door to the pod to open. It didn't open. The pod just sat there. Kayle kept waiting for it to open. Maybe the fact that it was old and damaged to begin with meant it was just running slow. He was sure that the landing couldn't have helped either. Kayle didn't have time to waste though. This pod was smoking and he was sure that he couldn't get anymore use out of it. Even if he could, it wouldn't be worth it. He might as well just buy a new one. He had decided. If this thing wouldn't open, the would force it open. Kayle began to do what he did best. He began to use his ki to manipulate the gravity again, and with one great pulse, he blew the door off the pod.
Kayle stepped out of the pod on the planet Earth for the first time in years. He took in a deep breath of air. This was it. This was where his other half was from. The sky was a light blue, and the grass was green. And then there was the fact that there was grass. Kayle hadn't seen grass in forever. Kayle looked back at his busted up space pod. No reason to clean it up. Surely the earthlings could take care of it. Kayle wondered on to what part he had crashed, and if there was a city near here. He needed those weights, especially here, as he had forgotten how much lighter the Earth's gravity was compared to Vegeta. He began to look around. There was farm land as far as the eye could see. Some had giant birds. Kayle had never been to this part of earth before. Kayle clicked on his scouter, and had it scan for signs of power, no matter how miniscule it was. At this point, he was not looking for people with the power of a super human, but more the largest human settlement he could find. To the East. There was a very large congregation of power levels to the east, most of them almost nonexistent in the grand scheme of things.
Kayle immediately took to the air and headed to the east. The land he flew over was mostly flat, with crops planted, and those giant bird things everywhere. Kayle began to near the city, and landed on the outskirts, and then walked in calmly. The city was far different than the Cacumber Capital of Vegeta. For one, there wasn't a huge dome over the city like the Vegetan Capital had. The buildings were far better kept as well, and there wasn't holes everywhere from fights breaking out nearly everyday. Kayle was walking down the street and people start to give him strange looks. Kayle knew it couldn't have been the first time they had seen a saiyan. Kayle began to think that it must be his armor. He would need new cloths if he were to blend in here. Kayle searched wide and far, up and down the streets of this city until he came across a store that sold clothing. Not just any clothing, but easy to fight in clothing. It was obvious that this store was built to cater to those on Earth that considered themselves "fighters". Perhaps Kayle could kill two birds with one stone here. Maybe he could get his weights, and some new clothing. He walked inside.
Once inside Kayle began to browse the wears on the shelves. He didn't see what he would have seen on Vegeta. There were no scouters, and no wrist blasters. There were regular weapons that Kayle learned about in his childhood however. Like swords, spears, staves, and the like. He wondered if humans felt that these weapons would make a difference in a real fight. One that wasn't just for show, or just a spar to see progress. Ones like he had been in constantly on Vegeta. Human's didn't fight like that outside of tournaments thought, Kayle knew. So maybe things like this were just for personal style, rather than actual functionality. He began to look around more. He saw some black clothing on the walls with a sash and some boots, no gloves. This would do for now. At least he would blend in more with this and his current saiyan battle armor. Kayle grabbed the outfit. Now all there was, was the matter of acquiring the training weights. He walked over to the shelf across from where he was and began trying them out. None of the wearable weights were strong enough for him, but if he combined them, maybe they could work together. He grabbed some ankle and wrist weights, along with a weighted belt and undershirt. Together it was all very heavy. Yes, this should be enough. Kayle took his things over to the counter. "This. I want all of these." He said to the young lady behind the counter. "You're total comes out to 4,000 zeni." She responded to him. "Yeah, yeah, now gi'me my stuff." He said back to her. After his transaction was complete, Kayle left the store.
With that out of the way, all Kayle needed to do was to find a place to stay, at least temporarily. Kayle remembered that there were places that travelers could stay at. This was still weird to him, as Vegeta had very little, if any that he knew of, places for travelers to lay their heads. There was never any tourism of Vegeta. The only time anyone came there was because they already lived there, to conduct business, or train. That was pretty much it. None the less, Kayle knew they existed on Earth, so he began to search once again. Up and down the streets. Kayle would really have to learn his way around if he were going to stay here for any length of time, and it looked like he would be, given his pod was completely busted and destroyed. Kayle finally found what he was looking for. A motel. He entered the building and bought a room, and the receptionist gave him the key to room number 203. When Kayle exited the building, instead of walking and taking the stairs, he simply flew up to the room in question. This, coupled with his current attire of his saiyan battle uniform and scouter, garnered him some attention. Sure, people flying about was more common today than it was in the past, but it still was not common place. It was believable now, but it wasn't something seen everyday like it was on Vegeta. Kayle looked back over the railing and saw the people staring at him. He gave them a very dirty look, which prompted them to be on their way. He unlocked his door and walked in.
Inside the room looked just like what one might expect for a motel room. There was a bed, a table and two chairs. There was a TV a bathroom and a night stand, with a phone nestled on top, and a phone book inside. Kayle threw his cloths and weights on the bed, which let out a loud creaking noise, and began to take off his battle armor. He took off his chest piece and boots, and threw them on the floor, and the pants came next. Kayle picked up the pants that he bought from the store. He had forgotten that human clothing usually didn't come with a tail hole, as most people on Earth didn't have tails. This was no problem. Kayle looked at his tail and judged the general size, then made a fine point, thin, low powered ki beam come out of his finger and cut a hole slightly bigger than the tail. After this, he put on the pants. Perfect. They were perfect. He put on the shirt and boots, and then threw on the weights, tieing the weighted belt around his waist and the others in their respective places. While Kayle wasn't used to the weights, he was sure that with the lesser gravity of Earth, that he could get used to them in no time. There was only one way to find out. He would have to go out for a little training session, and after that long trip he could use the stretch. Kayle exited his room, locked his door, pocketed his key, and flew off back into the direction of where he had landed. He needed to loosen up, and a training session would be just the thing. He could investigate about the super humans after he was settled in. One thing was for sure, he would not be leaving until he knew just what the hell that was he fought on Vegeta.
[Heavy weights on if possible. if not no worries. not 100% when and where weight bonuses apply.]
