From above, a young half-breed could be seen speeding over the barren lands if one happened to be there. Her appearance was hardly that of a non-pure blood, her visible traits taking all of her father's though her temper and mannerisms matched with that of a human's. With that, her tail was always loose and bent to a curly question mark, most other positions she found uncomfortable, but was still something that wouldn't directly point to her bloodline and again to the planet she was raised on, which fostered no real etiquette when it came to the extra appendage. Tariph watched as the lands below changed from polished cities to squaloring ghettos that offended every sense that held the displeasure of being anywhere near the area, to filth covered grounds and landfills that slowly disappeared with residential areas while still damaged grounds, burnt so thoroughly life still resisted growing there. The halfling had to admit, the world was vastly different than the one she knows, but still held enough similarities so that she wasn't completely resistant to the idea of moving around on her own.
Honestly, she wasn't planning to go too far from the ship, just let Kaula take care of whatever business she had to take care of while Wocane got used to the more intense gravity. The city was pretty boring though, at least when she didn't know much of anything about the place. She wasn't going to reach out and ask for directions or for a guide either, these people prided themselves on rank and holding a certain amount of prestige even as the new queen took her seat on the throne of Vegeta. Tariph didn't know much about that last part, but there weren't riots weren't being held out on the street, so the woman must have been doing a pretty good job. Or holding an extremely tight leash on the population. Either of those options were impressive by most standards. The there was the lower districts, she didn't even think twice about going down there, she had seen enough Earth ghettos and knew those weren't the type of places you wanted to be unless you were looking forward to watching some pretty intense drama go down. She wasn't into any kind of drama in any form.
For once, things didn't go according to plan when it just involved ignoring people. She'll be honest, she wasn't paying much attention at the time, and she's pretty sure the guy knew it because she remembered he looked pretty ticked off while shoving that GPS into her chest and storming off, she wasn't very concerned about the whole thing. Real she sized up the imperial looking butt rag and caught something about a House Bloodboil, then paid a little attention about the little bit of info on the Wastelands where some guy wanted to meet with her, other than that everything went in one ear and out the other. The reason she was following the coordinates weren't to meet that Bloodboil guy, there were some notes written with the destination that she skimmed over, they weren't even supposed to meet for a few days, what she really wanted to do was check out Vegeta's wilderness. That had to be way more interesting than loafing around watching Wocane crawl around.
Zooming overhead, Tariph would admit she was curious about the scorched lands; really she didn't take Saiyans for the type that used weapons that could cause this kind of devastation because there was no way just Ki attacks did this, she didn't care how strong the people who spared out here were. Looks like you learned something new that broke stereotypes every day. Her feet touched the ashy grey ground when she felt she was far enough from the now distant slums, lights glowing and blinking in the distance under a depressing cloud of smog, looking almost like stars from where she was. Around her, the gray expanded for miles and miles onward, the pattern being broken by red and brown clay that would peek out from beneath the gray as though reluctant to show itself. The half Saiyan hummed to herself as she walked, leaving light tracks in the ground that were wiped away whenever wind decided to pick up in whatever direction it saw fit, and wondered what could have possibly happened to leave this much ash and dust in one place. Answering her own question, she figured a lot had to do with the filthy lower district, because when she arrived the barren lands towards the higher class area was glowing in the rocky desert colors of red, yellow, and orange.
The pink colored sky darkened with red and purple as the tailed girl walked, the GPS tucked into her pocket and her wandering now at a complete random to who knows where. She didn't think you needed a reason or destination to walk around in these kinds of places, you just did it, and if you were lucky something interesting would be right around the corner. She wasn't entirely wrong in that belief, and it showed when the ground shook in slight tremors, light enough to ignore at first. dismissing the sensation as minor shifts that came with a planet this large. Minor Earthquakes - or would they say Vegetaquakes? - happened sometimes, only natural. Until they got harder, heavier, forcing her to stop as the ground cracked and opened a few yards away. Tariph didn't know what that thing was as it rose out of the too big molehill it seemed to be forming, but she knew it was huge. The creature was over 13 feet tall, paws clawed and teeth befitting a monster, both dangerous traits looked like they could easily tear a person apart as it could more the ground for tunneling. Weirdly, it looked like some kind of ant with only two legs and a head with a smashed badger's face blind as who know what.
"Holy fucking Hfil, you are UGLY!" She couldn't stop herself from saying it and now, if that thing wasn't targeting her before, it was now.
Within the course of a minute, Tariph went from a casual stroll to flying away while the weird badger faced giant swipe where she was. She stopped when she realized it was swatting blindly now, and putting two and two together it was clear that it could probably only "see" what was on the ground. Well, there was a good chance it could smell too, but that just meant staying downwind while teaching the beast not to mess with its betters. She has a weird ideology when it came to animals.
She let herself float behind its head, both palms outstretched while two white spears grew in her hands. The girl watched while the strange animal seemed to calm down, making the ground quiver as it went on all four and swiping as though trying to reveal a hidden sent, "That's right you have grown bastard..." She muttered, taking a deep breath before her attack launched, "DOUBLE BIG BANG ATTACK!" She watched the animal fall forward with a cry, a grin forming on her face before it turned around and jumped straight at her. She growled, rising into the air and out of the animal's reach, and as it fell back towards the ashy plains she fell towards it's head, her tail glowing with a silver coating before Tariph did a somersault and the furry appendage landed a direct hit on the creature's already damaged skull, "Iron tail!"
There was an audible crack at they both hit the ground, she on top the unconscious beast. She was pretty sure it wasn't dead yet, was probably going to die from a concussion later, though. Oh well, not her problem, she's pretty sure the thing wouldn't have tasted right if it was burnt to a crisp regardless. Huh, maybe that's how the animals on this planet survived, being nasty as hell. Tariph chuckled a bit to herself as she continued her walk, hands stuffed back into her pocket and tail shaking off the bit of blood that found its way within her fur.
