Sage and Toga walked, or rather floated, through the landscape known as heaven. It was still quite jarring to be in a place as peaceful as this. Sage expected there to at least be some type of strife going on. Perhaps two souls would get into a feud, or maybe somebody steals someone else's Soul-Lunch, but no such thing ever occurred here. Sage surmised it must have because nobody who was sent here had that type of maliciousness in them, or else they would be in Hell. He couldn't exactly imagine what hell looked like, but he assumed it was probably a lot less enjoyable than Heaven was.
Tago, Sage's bubbly traveling companion, was floating alongside him. They were checking out all the sites Heaven had to offer. Some parts of it were cloudy, like the Souls who reside there, while other areas were more like Earth, looking more like Forests and Gardens. Occasionally while floating, Tago would spot something of interest and they would check it out. The thing Tago had found this time was something called "The Body Request Station." Tago tugged Sage along as they floated inside.
On the inside of this strangely named building was a friendly looking Blue Oni with a suit on. He was quite small, and the desk he was sitting behind was quite large. He looked down at the two new arrivals, who happened to be the only ones in the building, and gave them a warm smile "Why hello there! Welcome to the Body Request Station! How may I help you?" Sage raised an eyebrow, or he would have if he had them. Sage asked him a question curiously "Yes, I guess you can tell us what the "Body Request Station" Is?" The Blue Oni cleared his throat as he began his explanation "Well, the Body Request Station is here for those who would like to live out the remainder of their after-life with a body. You see, not everyone likes being a Puff-Ball." The Oni chuckled at his own words, and continued explaining "For those who would be more comfortable in their regular bodies, we can re-create them as how they looked a day before they passed on. The Process takes an awfully long while for some people though, as sometimes we have trouble re-creating certain pieces of their form."
Sage nodded, he was interested in re-gaining his body so he asked politely for his name to be taken down "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to be able to live in my own body again. If you could pencil in "Sage Bleu" as someone who requests their body back, that'd be great." Tago spoke up as well, not wanting to be left out "Hey, I want my body back too! Pencil in "Tago Maa" as somebody who want's their body back too!" The Oni smiled as he jotted their names down. After he finished writing their names he explained how getting their bodies back will work "Well, your names are in the book. You can expect your body back anywhere between three hours and three hundred years." Sage thanked the Oni, and the two puffy souls left the station.
Sage looked at Tago curiously "So, where do you want to go next?" Tago looked around at the sights, but she wasn't sure where she wanted to go next. She floated towards the Gardens, as it was the second most interesting place they could go at this point. Sage followed along, curious to see if there might be plant-life from other planets. When they arrived they were greeted with one of the most beautiful sights one could see. Plants and Flowers of all colors and shapes. The mixture of pleasant aromas passed through the two souls and they breathed it in...somehow. It didn't matter though, because the smell was simply magnificent.
Sage spoke with a much happier tone than usual "I never thought smelling flowers would be so nice." Tago giggled as she floated around Sage "What, you never heard of the expression "Stop to smell the Roses"? It's always nice to smell things, even things that don't smell too nice.' Sage smiled internally. Tago's happy attitude was certainly uplifting, and he was glad he bumped into her, otherwise things might be boring around here. They floated through the Gardens for a while longer, taking in all the sights and smells they could. There were so many different types of Plants that Sage had never even heard of here. The most interesting ones were Bagoodles, Tinglangs, Pollipips, and something called a Hooteyhump. All of them looked very strange but gave even stranger aromas.
Bagoodles smelled very similar to a well-cooked steak. Tinglangs gave off a scent reminiscent of a New Car. Pollipips were the most pleasant of the group, smelling like freshly-made pancakes. And lastly, Hooteyhumps smelled the most foul, the only reasonable comparison would be to dirty Gym-Socks. Surprisingly, the Pollipips were the least popular out of all the strange flowers. Most Souls were attracted to the smell of the Bagoodles, while others preferred the Tinglangs. It was strange to see these flowers, but that didn't mean they were bad.
Finally finished smelling all the Garden had to offer, Tago and Sage decided to check out the "Fun Fountain". It was a very large, lake-like body of water. At the edge of the lake were rowboats with enough room for about two souls, or one person. Toga and Sage floated towards the Row-Boats and sat down in them. Slowly, they rowed out to the middle of the lake. Sage wasn't sure how exactly they were able to hold these paddles, let alone move them. But he wasn't going to question it, in fear of going insane trying to find the answer.
Surprisingly, no other souls were on the Lake. It was just Sage and Tago, in the middle of a lake, on a row-boat that they somehow rowed without arms. Tago giggled as they stopped rowing "Y'know this is kinda Romantic. Just you and me, out on the lake together...You didn't plan this did you?" Sage blushed a bit, unsure of how to respond "No, I didn't plan it...but you're right, it is kind of nice." Tago giggled again "I didn't say it was "nice", I said it was romantic." Sage was once again a bit confused. He didn't exactly have feelings in that way for Tago, they'd only known each other for about a day, but it wasn't like he was opposed to the Idea. He was the one who laughed this time, clearly a tiny bit embarrassed that he had forgotten exactly what Tago had said "Right, Romantic...I guess you could say that." They stared at each other for a few moments, their eyes locked in place.
Sage was the first to break the staring contest by looking toward the nearby bridge. He floated a bit above the boat as he spoke "I don't wanna row all the way back to the shore, wanna ditch the boat and just float up to the bridge?" Tago nodded as they pushed the boat towards shore and floated themselves up to the nearby bridge. They stared at each other again, until Tago broke the silence "...so, what do you wanna do?" Sage looked around curiously. He hadn't actually chosen their destination before now, so he really hadn't taken the time out to look at what sights he might want to visit.
They stayed on the Bridge for an awfully long time, trying to decide where to head next. It would probably be a very long time until they move from this spot.
