The sky was a bright blue over the Earth as Toma stepped outside his home. Daiki, and Ninjin… currently, they were training inside his Gravity Chamber. He didn’t quite know what was going on, but he could feel their incredible power. Power far beyond anything that Toma could ever hope to achieve at this stage. He smiled a bit. He remembered when he had first met Ninjin. She hadn’t been much stronger than Toma was now. He was impressed, really. How far she had come in such a short amount of time. Even Daiki too, had grown far stronger than when they’d first met, even if he hadn’t known Daiki for as long as he’d known Ninjin.
But then, Toma looked down at his hands, and clenched them into fists. Daiki and Ninjin… They had both grown so much stronger in such a short amount of time, but what of him? He’d been sitting around the same level for quite a while now. He sighed. He was unsure of his abilities. Was he really ment to lead their group, the Z-Fighters? Was that his destiny, or should he turn over control of the group to Ninjin, or Scargot perhaps? These questions weighed heavily on his mind. He didn’t feel worthy of leading a group, and possibly sending people into situations that he himself couldn’t handle.
But, perhaps he should wait. The world was a peace now, more or less. Toma didn’t approve of the Blue Banner Army’s tactics or their policies, but he had to admit, things seemed to have settled down now that they were in control. He planned on perhaps ousting them from their power and returning the power back to the military that had been in control before, simply because of the way the Blue Banner Army had decided to take control in such a violent way. He hated it. Forcing people to obey like that, it was nothing short of dictatorship. But, for now, he’d let them have their way. It’s not like he could do anything against them right now. He needed to wait, and bide his time.
But until then, he needed to go speak with Scargot. He needed to know if the Namekian had any tips for getting stronger, and there was also something concerning him about the Dragon Balls. With all these new powers showing up, Toma decided it would be best to have a plan of action to take care of the Dragon Balls. Perhaps, one member of the Z-Fighters all having one of the Dragon Balls in case they needed them, and in order to prevent them from being found. That sounded like a good idea in Toma’s head, but he decided that Scargot had a right to say what happened with his creations as well, even if he had appointed Toma as one of the people to protect the magical artifacts.
He sighed, turning back to look at his house one more time before he left, sensing Ninjin and Daiki’s energy. He needed to get to their level. He needed to catch up. How could he ever hope to help them in battle, if they were protecting him all the time? He was tired of it. Tired of being unable to do anything. Tired of being unable to save his friends or his family. Tired of being weak. He looked up then, towards the sky. While most people might see the bright open sky, Toma saw the lookout. He had fixed it, yet again, and he decided he needed to head up to it. So he did. He began ascending into the air, flying up towards the lookout.
After landing on the lookout, Toma looked around. The place looked rather normal, but he noted the addition of apple trees on the lookout. Something that Toma hadn’t seen before. Did Scargot enjoy apples? He didn’t know Namekians ate foods like Saiyans did. But then again, he didn’t know much about Namekians to begin with.
“Scargot? You here? I need to talk to you.” Toma called out, hoping to get a response.

Pieter had been finding himself annoyed, but not very much. This had been because, the moment he was going to collect the plants and roots needed, his brother came by and scooped up his little brother, telling him that he and his fiance were finally getting wed to each other! The ceremony and the party following went for a week or so. Pieter had lost track of time, as well as the presences all around him that spiked up to amounts as high, if not higher than that one presence from a while ago! Waputhi and his wife, eventually, decided to remind Pieter of the situation around the planet, to which the hunter had a brief panic (and rage-filled) moment, as he sensed out the presences of those he met around the world that he felt were closest to being 'friends.' One of the powers, Toma's, had been located not that far away, but not very close either.
He found that the saiyan had gone far, far into the sky, but he had not known why. Pieter decided, first, that he'd fly until he was underneath his spirit, before he would shoot up. Oddly enough, he had been lead to the bottom of the Great Pole, constructed by one of Pieter's great ancestors, legends said. He looked up the massive structure and thought, "Had this been the reason why I didn't see him in the desert south of here? He climbed the Great Pole of Korin?! I see how desperate he is for power now, but it is all the more reason he needs to learn to control his saiyan blood! I will go up the Great Pole myself and begin training him in the ways of the Monkeys of Karinga!"
With a mighty 'leap' from the air, the hunter darted upwards, moving as fast as he could up it! However, he was not familiar with the height, having to cling to the tower about 2,000 feet up. He held on with one hand, gazing up the tower and thinking, "So, he's actually already gotten used to this much breath...? Impressive, I do say so myself, but it is nothing compared to the trials father and brother put me through!"
Pieter let go of the tower, and with another 'heave' from his feet, he 'jumped' up once more, rising higher and higher into the clouds above! The air got thin, making his lungs feeling as though they were going to pop! He stopped quickly, grabbing the pole and gasped for air! He was gonna have to take it slow from here, it seemed, and it was annoying..! Pieter gripped the pole with both hands, and clawed at the indents in the tower. He took soft breaths and stopped every 10 feet to catch his breath. Perhaps it was because of his saiyan blood, or his natural aptitude as a hunter, but his body felt as though it as adapting fairly quickly to the environment.
"Going to get up there... Going to get up there," Pieter thought, glaring at the blue sky above him! The exercise he was getting was infuriating him, as he had also been wondering when he had gone so soft. This then made him believe that this was because of his brother's wedding party, in which he had caught up with some of his childhood friends in the process and got caught up smoking Serpent's Tongue, a type of herb that was common in their part of Fukurou Forest.
There were a lot of hazy images coming to him, as he climbed up from that time, as well. Among them, he recalled something involving one of the friends kissing him on the lips, and telling him to meet her when Pieter wasn't busy after having some conversation with her. Then again, he was so gone that day that a Tyrannosaurus would've been ko'd but what he smoked, so this could've all just been a 'smoke dream,' he had.
Pieter found himself encroaching what looked like an orb after about an hour of climbing, which told he was getting close to the top of the pole! Yet, his spirit sense told him that Toma had been far higher than that! The hunter got to the orb, climbing what appeared to have been ladder handles and looking the orb! It seemed that he arrived at the fabled tower of Korin, yet, no one seemed to be there. Toma had still been up higher than this, causing the hunter to groan as he hopped out the room and floated up to the 'roof' of the room. He did, however, make a mental note to come back here and see if that fabled entity was actually there or not.
When the hunter got to the top, he noticed that there had been another platform directly above, but very far off! He looked down below, seeing that he had got to the point where he could see the world curving as well! It was insane at how high up this floating platform had been! Pieter didn't forget, however, how thin the air had been, so he decided to float upwards very carefully. As he looked up, he could've swore he felt not just Toma's presence, but the presence of several others... What was on top of this platform with Toma?
(I'll be posting Pieter's eventual arrival at Kami's Lookout in the next post.)

Today was a good day in the eyes of Scargot, nothing was out of the ordinary and Reikiko was now in her new human form. The Evil Reikiko was in hiding probably scheming and finding something new to do but at least he had been able to keep the Good Reikiko with him, at least he could protect one of them. He looked out at the Earth with a smile on his face and a tear in his eye, he was getting stronger every day and the Earth' protectors were getting stronger too. He hadn't met a lot of them but he still could fell no malicious and evil intent from them. He had hoped to meet a few of them someday but he would have to wait for them to come to him.
He may be the Kami of Earth but with the World not being in any immediate danger he would have to wait for those who were worthy enough who climb up Korin' tower then up to the lookout themselves. Only then will he be able to speak with them and train them in the mental arts that allows them to train their Ki and mental powers.
Scargot could feel Toma' power flying up to the lookout, there must be a reason for his arrival as he had been living down on the Earth for a while now without coming up to the lookout. Maybe he was ready to begin the training again, he had been slacking with his training the past few months and even Scargot was able to surpass him in power. Scargot had named Toma one of the protectors of the Dragon Balls but for him to be able to protect anything he would need to train a lot more.
Scargot walked back into the temple, unlocking on the of the rooms that he didn't let even Reikiko enter. In the center of the room was a small kettle on top of a pedestal, Scargot grabbed a small cup and filled it with the liquid. The level that the liquid was at stayed no matter how much he took out of the kettle. This was called the holy water, it was a special liquid that the Kami could hand out to whoever he thought could drink it without being killed.
Scargot believed that Toma could handle it so he took the cup out with him. This was going to be the day where Toma would become the great warrior he was meant to be. As Scargot walked to the entry of the temple he heard Toma' voice he called for him. With a smile on his face Scargot walked out holding the cup, "Good Morning Toma. It is a lovely day isn't it?"

-Heavy Weights are on (just my shop purchase needs to be updated)-
"..."
It had been several days since the time Reikiko had met Kenny the tiger. While the child was now so close to the feline that she could seemingly communicate with him as if he was a human being, the fact the girl told him to wait at Avalon and be a good kitty was a sight that even Hikari was flabbergasted by. Still, the dream she recently had still haunted her mind. Who or what was Reikiko? Now she thought back about it, perhaps there was someone she could have asked the question to. Certainly, while she lacked the ability to speak properly it didn't mean she was without the means of communication. She could easily make gestures and express her emotions through her expressions and there were two individuals who understood those the best. The first one was Hikari, her sweet caretaker while the other person was the Namekian living on the timeless lookout. His name was Scargot, and while she held no memories of meeting him prior to her awakening, the child felt a certain deeply ingrained sense of affection for him, to the point she felt he must had been the person known as a 'Father'.
Perhaps it would have been useful for her to talk to Scargot about her concerns? In the end a father was there to protect and guide his children, but perhaps also to support and comfort them. At this point Scargot had been somewhere in the deepest chambers of the temple, and while Reikiko remained seated in one of the rooms near the entrance of the temple the child couldn't help but find her thoughts returning back to the dream and the fear she had felt at that time. She was broken, undeniably so, in the end she seemed vastly different from everyone else. Not only was she incapable of speech, but she also had lost any and all memories aside from the point she had awoken. No... There must had been something more going on.
Hikari had been sleeping, seemingly curled up on the sofa in the room she and Reikiko had been in, and for a moment the child couldn't help but wonder how exhausted it must had been to always watch over her day after day. Nevertheless, before she had the chance to think further about the subject the sound of a masculine voice came from the entrance of the temple, and the child could sense the presence of her father approaching them. Was it a guest like Kaula? In the end her father seemed to get visitors a lot, so after a moment of consideration she decided to slowly walk toward the doorway. She was rather quick to catch up with the Namekian and his guest, her steps light as she approached Scargot from behind, and finally stepped beside him.
"..."
The child looked up at Scargot, her usual innocent smile surfacing on her lips before turning toward the Saiyan, making a light formal bow before finishing it off with a playful wave of her hand. Still, for a moment she couldn't help but look back at the spot where she had awakened for the first time ever. Fortunately, or perhaps fascinating was the fact that due to Scargot's telepathic ability he would have likely heard a soft girlish voice whispering in Reikiko's thoughts.
Who am I? What is Reikiko?
Her smile seemed to waver for a moment as a look of thoughtfulness appeared upon her expression. Perhaps there was a way for her to prevent people from abandoning her. If she ceased to be a broken girl then... maybe they wouldn't discard her? She seemed to ponder intensely about this, and finally after several moments of silence she looked up at Scargot, making several small gestures with her hand before pointing at herself.
Otou-san won't abandon me if I remain broken right?
She really had started to consider herself akin to a broken toy, one that was at risk of being thrown away. Perhaps while the comment was made in a light-hearted manner it had struck her deeply, and alongside the recent dream she was uncertain whether she was ever going to recover. A girl who couldn't speak, nor remember her past... Was there anything else to call her but broken?
"..."
She turned to look toward the guest of her father, her eyes seemingly having a hint of curiosity in them before she suddenly dashed away from them. Her pace was light, even if it was slowed down by the training clothes Hikari had told her to wear, but she was still nimble enough to reach for the tree branches and pluck two red apples from the tree. What would she do with them? Obviously the same thing any little Cherub would end up doing. She made her way back over to the Namekian and the guest of the timeless lookout, and with an apple in each hand she raised them to both, as if she was handing them over a gift.
Apples are good, surely if I give them apples they will give me more time to become fixed again... right? Or... Are even apples not enough?
Poor Reikiko, if only they could have noticed the sadness concealed behind her eyes as she handed them over the fruit with a smile. Then again, she was unaware of the fact Scargot possessed an unique gift that might had been a blessing for her. Finally the child pointed at herself once more, then toward the two of them and finally making a light X-shaped gesture, she finished pointing toward the temple.
Perhaps she was asking if they needed privacy and wanted her to leave? At a time like this Reikiko truly wished she was able to speak, but it seemed that right now she lacked the means to recover enough from her state to be capable of doing that. At least, it was the Namekian's presence that helped her from feeling too influenced by the haunting thoughts she was experiencing.

Toma watched as he felt the three powers getting close to him. There was a lightness amongst one of the powers. A sense that everything would be good and well. But, there was something about it… something he didn’t like. He knew this power. But from where? It wasn’t Scargot, or Pieter that he felt closing in. It was someone he hadn’t met in person, but at the same time he’d felt their energy. That ment they must be extremely strong, right? Right? At least, that’s what Toma thought.
Scargot walked out of the temple carrying a glass of water. Toma didn’t think much of that. Everyone needs to drink, right? He hoped he hadn’t interupted a meal Scargot might be having, but even if he had, what they needed to talk about was far more important. He smiled at the namekian, replying to the mans question. “Yes, it’s a fine day. But I didn’t come up here to talk about the weather.” He spoke, before he saw a small child approaching from behind. And then he made the connection. This child was the source of that odd power he was feeling. But where did he know her from?
She seemed to look as lost and confused as he did. That was odd, Toma thought. She walked over to an apple tree and soon after, Toma was given an apple by the small child. He smiled at the girl, taking the apple. “Thank you, little one.” Toma spoke, reaching over and giving her a pat on her head, messing up her hair a little, much the same way an older brother would do to their sibling. But while he may act nice to her now, he still was on his guard. Perhaps he’d talk to Scargot about this girl, too.
He turned back to Scargot, before speaking once more. “I… I’ve been thinking, recently. About the Dragon Balls, and my power to protect them.” He spoke, letting out a sigh, looking at his hands. “These strong powers I’ve felt recently… They’ve made me realize just how weak I am.” He said, refering to the powers he had felt in West City not too long ago. “Then there’s two other Saiyans I know. Their names are Ninjin and Daiki. They’re friends of mine. They’re actually training at my place right now. If you concentrate, you can feel their incredible power. Compared to that, I’m nothing.” He said, before looking the Namekian in the eye again.
“And then there’s also the manner of the Blue Banner Army. I’m afraid that if they, or any other organization find out about the Dragon Balls, they might try to use that power for evil, selfish purposes. I feel we need to have a plan in place to gather the dragon balls and keep them spread out between our allies so we can call upon that power when we need to. Of course, with you being their creator, I wanted to speak to you about this. But perhaps you’d rather talk about this in private?” He said, refering to Reikiko. He thought that she was just a mere child, and he didn’t want to scare her with talks of evil powers and the world being in danger. That wasn’t something a child should have to worry about.

"This is getting ridiculous," Pieter thought, as he looked up at the platform above, "It's as though I'm not even approaching it at all...!"[
Pieter looked down, to see how far away the previous the Great Pole was, seeing it was as small as a golf ball, shrinking ever so slightly as the Monkey hunter soared above. He wiped his brow and cheeks, unknowingly smearing the paints on them, as looked back up to the platform. His breath had been becoming thin, despite all his training! His lungs still felt as though they were ready to pop! He begun wondering how high up this place was, on top of the fact that he didn't even know what this place had been!
One side of his mind had been believing this was some weird ship hovering in one of the layers of the atmosphere that no other ship had even noticed due to some weird hyper cloaking technology, yet his senses were saying that it was right there... RIGHT THERE, IN PLAIN SIGHT! Another part of his mind told him that it had been magically blocking sight of this place, except from the bottom, in addition to saying that this could be where the God Serpent lives... Though the reason for why it stayed out of sight by ships and what not for however long it had been up here didn't make sense in his head, the idea of maybe finding the answers he sought would be likely? It really was a far shot from his little existential crisis that caused him so much trouble over the past few months, but it was worth a shot... Right?
Within his thoughts, and somehow looking back down along the way, the hunter ended up smacking the back of his head on the giant structure, knocking him out for a moment! He immediately found himself dreaming, with a goofy smile on his face as he fell down. The dream was brief, with him sitting at a very short table with a very cartoon-ish serpentine dragon, the two of them drinking tea. They were having a brief conversation, in accents that were surprisingly dapper.
"I do say, chap! This tea is absolutely exquisite today, if I do say myself, mhmm," the dragon stated, its voice high pitched, taking a sip of the tea as it did.
"Mm. Indeed... Say, chap, do feel up for a game chess on the nimbus clouds," Pieter asked, taking a sip of the liquid as he did.
The dragon scoffed, lowering his cup as he did, "Sir, I never heard such profanity ever in my life! We've already begun, yet you have been spilling tea all over the chess pieces... AND IN YOUR KNICKERS, SIR?! This wonderful day has been spoiled because of your foolishness, and thus, I toss you of this cloud!"
Before Pieter could acknowledge what was happening, he found himself being smacked in the head by the dapper serpent and falling down! This, somehow, knocked him back awake, having fallen only a few feet.... Well, more specifically, a few hundred feet. Outraged, the hunter stopped his fall, and with a might 'jump,' hurled himself up to the platform once more! As he approached, he noted a set of handles that looked like a ladder following the bowl shape and made his way over! He grabbed them and, using his raw muscular body, 'sprinted' up the ladder!
He clawed at the ledge, and lifted himself onto the platform! His heart drummed like a timpani drum, but he was on it, and across the way, he saw Toma, talking to a Namekian and a little girl. At the top of his lungs, he growled, "I... I found you, TOMAAAA! FINALLY!"
Now, a little narrator's point of view, if you will: You see, right now, Pieter had not realized that his hair had begun unfurling from his ponytail, on top of the fact that his tribal paint had been smearing. So, having shouted at the top of his lungs for Toma, this kind man had made himself look much like a barbaric psychopath who, if he had come with a hockey mask and a machete, would look like one of your horror movie killers who just could never die as he maimed countless teens trying to have some fun..! That's the end of this exclusive Narrative... ON WITH THE STORY!

Toma spoke, he seemed to be in a hurry. Scargot sat down the cup and took a step towards his friend before feeling Reikiko' presense, she had been different since she split and more of a child. Scargot pattered her on the head before she ran off to get some apples, smiling at his daughter he turned back to Toma. "What did you come to talk about Toma, remember you are always welcome here and I'm always free to talk." As he spoke, Reikiko came back with the apples Scargot knelt down to get his apple, he hugged Reikiko when he took the apple from her and looked her in the eyes. She couldn't talk so he communicated to her through telepathy, "You are a good girl Reikiko, thank you for the apple. Run a long, I'm sure Kenny wants to play. Be careful." He softly put his hand on Reikiko' head and stood up, not waiting for Reikiko to leave he walked up to Toma and stood before him. "I gave you my blessing to do what ever you wish with the dragon balls, I also don't trust the Blue Banner Army but there is nothing I can do about it. But, if you believe we should hold them from anyone else that is up to you." He turned away for a second and began to ponder.
"Well if you can find 6 others who you trust with ALL your Heart, then I will allow you to do so. Now, I have been meaning to talk to yo..." Scargot was just about to turn away and grab the cup of holy water before he felt a strange power and a man jumped up onto the lookout and called for Toma. Scargot immediately without a seconds notice moved and stood in front of Toma, "Greetings Tribal man. My name is Scargot, I am the Guardian of this lookout. Is there anything I may help you with?" He said with a smile on his face, the man did seem quite roughed up and a bit deranged but Scargot was not to judge the people of Earth, he did after all climb the tower. Scargot turned to see if Reikiko was still watching, if she was Scargot would give her a nod to show he was there to protect her from the scary man.

It seemed that her gifts were taken with gratitude, something that made the child rather happy. Of course feeling the affectionate petting of her head not just once but twice the child grinned sheepishly. For some odd reason the moment Scargot patted her head the child felt somewhat different. What had been a certain feeling of happiness when Toma petted her head had caused the moment Scargot's hand rested on top of her head there was a certain blissful happiness within the child. However, at the same time the two of them were about to resume their conversation about the dragon balls a second guest emerged on the lookout. Of course she was going to greet them properly, at least that was until she saw who that guest was. Tribal paint had smeared all over his face, making it look as if he had just devoured several young juicy teenagers, his hair loose and wild to the point that he might had been a Pictish Barbarian! The sheer display of savageness, at least on terms of physical appearance caused the child to stagger, her face turning pale and almost like a terrified child she tried to ran into the temple, just to find a pair of hands gently stop her, a light embrace following.
"Hush now Little Rei. There is no need to be terrified, I taught you how to sense a person's aura right? Does that man have a terrifying or evil presence?"
The child looked up at the speaker, the young woman known as Hikari smiling kindly at Reikiko who after a few moments finally calmed down enough to make a light nod while she tried to sense the man's nature. To her surprise he didn't seem to felt like a bloodthirsty fiend who would turn her into a Rei steak when he got hungry. But his aura also felt somewhat different from anything she had felt before. When the girl shook her head in return to the statement she finally was released and grasped a hold of the Hikari's hand, shifting a little closer to try to lightly brush her remaining hand against Scargot, trying to grasp a hold of it as if she was trying to say something symbolic.
"I apologize for overhearing your conversation Kami-sama, when I woke up inside the temple Reikiko had disappeared from the room, so I was a bit concerned. Nevertheless, you do not need to concern yourself with my presence. While I might had been a member of the Blue Banner Army, that is a thing of the past. I joined them in an attempt to prevent a disaster like the last Budōkai from repeating itself, but now I am but simply a close friend of your daughter."
She paused for a moment, seemingly considering something for a moment. She recalled the fact Scargot was distrustful of Vipoi, and at the same time he also was a noble and kind soul. In fact when Reikiko learned about the existence of the dragon balls she once mentioned something curious to her.
"If I may have the honor of raising a suggestion to your conversation. It is very likely that someday the population will learn about the existence of the power you mentioned. Reikiko knew about their existence because someone from Namek once speculated about their existence, and surely remnants of knowledge about them linger on this planet. However, I entirely agree that a power as strong as that of the one you're attempting to hide is too potent to be allowed to be released among the people..."
Of course she was being specific not to mention the dragon balls specifically due to their new guest, but she found it important to voice her concern.
"With great power comes great responsibility, but power can corrupt even the kindest of souls. Words spoken by your daughter, and today we have living proof of what consequences great power can have."
She gestured at Reikiko, who blinked in confusion at the statement but decided to shrug it off.
"However, if you were to attempt to keep this power in captivity those who learn about this power will consider yourself, and the ones who possess the 'catalysts' of this power as being possessive. Not just that but it would grant certain people the means to slander your reputation."
She gently pulled Reikiko up into her arms, causing the child to flail her arms lightly in embarrassment before she was put down again, causing a little giggle from Hikari.
"Of course there are alternatives to prevent this from happening. You could keep a part of the catalysts under your control, distributing them among your strongest and most trusted allies while the remaining catalysts are released into the wild in order to make it look as if they weren't taken into captivity.. However, I would more than likely tell them to never speak about their existence, and hide them carefully. Another idea is to create false ones and release them onto the world, but that idea is flawed..."
She seemed to consider the thought for a moment before she shook her head lightly, turning her gaze toward Scargot and Toma and smiling kindly she tried to reassure them about a thought that would likely surface in their minds.
"Do not worry, I will not speak a word to anyone about the conversation you two were having. My only desire is to finish Avalon so that your daughter has a place where she can live peacefully. Not just near yourself, but also among those that care for her. Then again, while I might desire to see it become a paradise for anyone who wants to live free from the harsh reality that is filled with conflicts and tragedies... I am not naive enough to think everyone would agree with a childish dream like mine."
It was for a moment that she paused seemingly thinking for a bit when she finally turned her gaze at Scargot and spoke once more.
"Nevertheless, I believe it's best Reikiko stays with you currently Kami-sama, I have some very important reports to make surrounding her condition, and something I would want to confirm with you if possible. Of course I understand entirely if you prefer for me to wait until you finish your business with your guests."
And of course Reikiko was still eying the 'barbarian' with a look of doubt in her eyes.
-Hikari has joined the conversation-

Toma smiled as Scargot listened to his words. He was glad that the Namekian had given him his blessing to do whatever he needed to do with the Dragon Balls. Toma couldn’t let them fall into the wrong hands, and Scargot agreed that the Blue Banner Army couldn’t be trusted. They appeared to be working for the benefit of the Earth, that was true, but there was just something about them that Toma didn’t trust.
After that, the small child that was Reikiko began to walk back to to the temple after something behind them had scared her. Toma turned around to hear someone scream his name, and much to his suprise, a man was clinging to the edge of the lookout. He looked exhausted and half-dead almost, but Toma recognized his energy. It was Pieter Wolfbane, the half-Saiyan he had met a few days prior.
Toma sighed and facepalmed as he looked back to Pieter. “Are uhh… you okay, Pieter?” He asked, as Scargot stepped in between them, presumably to defend Toma from any incoming harm. Toma placed a hand on Scargot’s shoulder, then walked around him, smiling. “It’s alright, he’s a friend.” He spoke, after looking at Scargot, then back to Pieter. He walked up to the mad-looking Half-Saiyan, and he grabbed him by his hand that was still on the lookouts floor. He gave the man a good tug, forcing him onto the lookout proper, so that he didn’t risk falling.
“Pieter, what are you doing here? When I went to the wastelands to find you like you asked, you weren’t there. I waited for you but you never showed. The hell was that all about?” Toma asked in a rather annoyed tone. He had wanted to train with Pieter, but the man hadn’t shown up! Toma figured something must have happened so that was why he had decided to come to the lookout instead. No point in waiting around doing nothing when there were other things that needed to be done.
A few moments later, another person joined them on the lookout. Toma turned back to the female, who was now holding Rei’s hand. Her mother, perhaps? No, no. They looked far too different to be related so closely. The woman began to speak about the reprecussions of keeping the dragon balls to themselves, and Toma placed a hand to his chin in thought. She was possibly right, but was their reputation really worth the misuse of the dragon balls? Toma figured that keeping the dragon balls safe would be better than having a bad reputation. Toma didn’t really care about his reputation anyways. He’d rather keep the world safe. But then, she mentioned she had been a member of the Blue Banner Army, and Toma was intrigued.
Toma looked at Hikari, before speaking. “You used to be a member of the Blue Banner Army? Then I have a question for you. Was there a Saiyan named Athren in the fight at West City? And what exactly happened there, anyways? I’ve seen the news reports and all that, but I want to hear it from the perspective of someone who was actually there.”

Toma had been annoyed at the hunter, the Namekian proceeded to welcome him no problem and no fear, but there was a little girl... A little girl... Who felt as strong as Toma and half as strong as the Namekian... Up on this high up look out. And what seemed to be her mother, yet he was focused a lot on the little girl who was frightened for a moment. He was flabberghasted at the moment, and when Toma asked where he was, Pieter turned his head, blinking a couple of times before he asked, "How'd this little girl get all the way up here...? Toma? Why's she also feel like that Reiki-"
Pieter shut himself up quickly, hearing the woman provide a vast amount of information about the Namekian's homeworld and a bunch of other information, but not before calming the little one down by using her name and telling her to sense Pieter. At that point, Pieter's jaw dropped, with a large frown forming on his face, pointing at the little girl as he blurted out, "What the in the Great Serpent's name happened to her?! The last I saw her, she was tossing me into the Reikiko games and practically ripping my arm off in the process when I was intending to guard instead!"
The shouting caused him an immediate reminder about his lungs being in massive pain! He toppled over, clasping his chest with both of his arms. His lungs were expanding and felt as though they'd explode, and with the explosion, blow open his rib cage! Toma, though, had managed to bring him up all the way on the platform before he realized it. He collapsed, flat on the platform still holding his chest and gasping for air. He groaned, "Brother... Marriage... Wedding Party... Stronger than I am. Father more terrifying than that. Couldn't get out to let you know... Gah, my lungs!"
*IMPORTANT OOC NOTE*
We are not to be hoarding the dragon balls in the look out! Understand that everyone must have a fair opportunity at this! If they go out, it is into a Planet-wide event, with the balls scattering! This is what is agreed upon by everyone in the site.

Scargot simply allowed Hikari speak, he trusted her enough to take care of Reikiko for him and the fact she was part of the Blue Banner Army and turned over a new leaf to stay with the good Reikiko gave him great pleasure in allowing her to stay at the lookout. Toma seemed to have a question for the young girl, as she was a member of the BBA she would have been present in West Capitol when Athren fought Reikiko and Vipoi... Scargot didn't want to interfere, he knew that Toma and Athren were great friends and the fact that Athren was killed by Reikiko, he just couldn't bring it up.
Scargot did agree with Hikari, the dragon balls were sacred and where idealy created for the world in order to bring forth some good fortune to those lucky enough to collect them all. But Toma once again was his trusted confidant in all things about the world, he had his beliefs and his duties but Toma had the mind of a Saiyan someone who didn't take risks.
Turning back to Pieter, the strange man Scargot began to realize he was truly one of Toma' friends. Hearing the fact that he joined the Reikiko games caused Scargot to shudder, he didn't want to think about it. The Reikiko games was not something he wanted to be a part of or even think about, Scargot walked up to the new face on the lookout and bowed when he as just 1 meter away from him.
"Welcome to my lookout, please rest. It must have been harder for you to climb all the way up here. Hikari, may you please get this man some water, Reikiko will you help her please." He smiled, he liked including Reikiko she was young but probably smarter than all of them. "Oh not the cup on the table." He remembered he put the holy water there when Toma arrived, it wasn't the right time to give it to him. Maybe later.

While Hikari had expected the question surrounding West Capitol to come up the moment she had revealed her former membership with the Blue Banner Army, the fact the man desired an objective, or rather a neutral opinion about what happened that day was something she was a little bit startled by, even if she didn't show that herself. The hybrid closed her eyes for a moment, seemingly gathering her thoughts for a moment when Scargot finally gave her a chance to explain things by suggesting for little Reikiko to grab the water. After telling the child she would be right there to help her, she watched the child wander back into the temple. The fact Toma wanted the truth was something of a harsh revelation in its own way. Still, she could understand his resolve to see the truth, even if she didn't knew about his friendship with one of the key factors of the conflict. After taking a deep breath the young woman finally pulled her hand into the pocket of her vest and withdraw a small cylinder, that after a few moments started glowing lightly, allowing a holographic screen to appear above the device. She waited until she sensed the child to have gone into the kitchen-like area when finally she spoke.
"It's not that healthy for her to remember this event yet, hence I had Reikiko go inside for a bit. What I'm about to show is some of the footage that might be relevant to your inquires Toma."
Her tone was polite and yet friendly at the same time, as if she was talking to a friend rather than a stranger. The screen slowly flashed into view, revealing the central area of the city where most of the conflict had happened. Currently the screen displayed two scenes unfolding before them. One involved a white-colored bio-android seemingly attacking fleeing refugees and absorbing several of them before she turned her attention onto the government soldiers that approached her, an overwhelming surge of energy surrounding her body.
"This scene happened shortly before the 'main' conflict that everyone likely sensed across the planet happened. Reikiko at that time had decided to cooperate with the Blue Banner Army because she had two objectives. The first one was to absorb the most powerful enemy she could find that day. The other objective was to gain their power, so she could avenge her slain master, the previous Crane Grandmaster and prevent her murderer, the bio-android Yuriko from unleashing a genocide upon our civilization. Even as we speak the other Reikiko, or 'Yami Reikiko' as she called herself is most likely only around her sister's strength, so it is safe to assume the danger hasn't passed yet even after her ascension to semi-perfection."
She paused temporarily as the screen turned to display another view. It was the one of the Saiyan known as Athren, who had just engaged in a battle with several Blue Banner Army soldiers. While Athren was able to overwhelm them with sheer power, the moment their formation fell and he displayed an almost savage attitude when allowing not a single soul to escape from the conflict, the woman turned her gaze sideways for a moment.
"The primary objective of the soldiers you seen was to evacuate the citizen of West Capitol, and ensure none would stop them. Of course conflicts were plenty between the Government troops and several rogue elements like the Saiyajin Athren."
She allowed the footage to continue, showing that several minutes after Athren had left the bloodbath the little bio-android from before arrived at the carnage, and for a moment one could have sworn she had knelt down and was talking to a dying soldier, his body maimed beyond recognition, and tears clearly fell from her eyes.
"While most know her only as a mercenary called Chimera, Reikiko was still a child at heart. Those men were people that talked with her, played games and made merry. One could say they were what she called 'friends'. While at that time she didn't know the identity of their murderer, the fact she later looked at this footage herself shown that she must had genuinely cared for them."
The scene finally turned toward the battle of West Capitol, while a azure-haired male, one that Scargot would recognize as Vipoi had started engaging Athren who had ascended into the Super Saiyan form, Reikiko descended toward the area two individuals wearing the Turtle School symbol had been at. She was visibly seen charging an attack at both of them, and soon Hikari resumed her explanation.
"To ensure her victory, but also to prevent more bloodshed Reikiko used the psychological profile she had gathered from her short conversation with the Turtle hermit and her companion to force both to make a decision. To flee and save countless refugees, or to stay and die alongside the Supah Saiyajin, but she would have fired her attack, leading to the death of many innocent people."
She turned her gaze from Toma toward Scargot as she continued her explanation.
"She weighted the sacrifice of a group toward the survival of a planet. While this won't justify her actions, she firmly believed that what she was doing would save more people than the lives she had claimed to accomplish this. In the end the two of them were pressured to retreat and..."
The screen changed to display Reikiko charging up her attack, and then suddenly she moved at an intense speed, to the point the camera couldn't keep up and made it look as if she teleported. She had emerged behind the Super Saiyan and unleashed a devastating attack that had destroyed most of the surrounding area, and defeated the Super Saiyan right before he could properly retaliate.
"Using her forbidden technique, one she was taught by the Crane Grandmaster Reikiko defeated the Supah Saiyajin the moment he let down his guard. However, the downside of this technique, and the reason it's considered forbidden is the backlash... According to Reikiko using it twice forces her to use her Namekian regeneration to be able to continue fighting. Three requires a senzu bean to be able to keep herself from fainting from the injuries it causes on her own body... Four would downright kill her without failure. Calculations have suggested that if she fired a fully powered Kikoho onto our planet, and our strongest warriors don't unite to stop her... it would destroy the planet without failure."
She took a deep breath before finally letting the footage turn toward her ascension. Reikiko had started absorbing Athren's essence, the cocoon slowly forming around her, and while this was happening she continued speaking.
"What you see there is the evolution process of a Chimera, the unique series of bio-androids that Reikiko is a part of. They absorb the essence of their defeated enemies to trigger an evolution. However, it was only later we realize that this absorb method causes the very 'nature' of the victim to be imprinted onto the essence. To explain it into detail I'll have to talk a bit more about a conversation I and Reikiko had after she awakened the full power of that form."
She allowed the screen to disappear while turning to face Pieter, this time her explanation would finally reveal what had happened to Reikiko.
"According to Reikiko it was as if 'Athren' himself was somewhere in her mind. His essence plagued her mind, or rather his existence as a Saiyajin did. She felt troubled by an immense sense of pride that she lacked until that moment, she became overconfident and brash, at some points even violent when her lust for battle stirred. In the end she came to realize that this wasn't just Athren... it was the very power he possessed. This made Reikiko both fear and admire the potential within everyone. While she had been the first to properly rise above the others on terms of power, she felt a potential within people to follow her and Athren. Nevertheless she feared the fact that such great power could corrupt any mortal."
For a moment a shadow of grief became visible in her eyes, her free hand gripping into a little fist before she continued.
"It seems Kami-sama made her fond of the saying 'With great power comes great responsibility'. She believed that while a power like the Supah Saiyajin could corrupt people, given proper guidance they could master it without falling to the same darkness Athren did. It was for that reason she started practicing meditation training alongside Kami-sama, in the hope to banish the darkness that plagued her. Nevertheless, tragedy struck when this darkness was seemingly too strong. While the following is just my theory and assumptions: It seems a psychological battle was fought between Reikiko's positive feelings, and the negative feelings that were given form by the power she absorbed. In the end the darkness reigned supreme, devouring most of her power and banishing her 'good' half out of her body, into the shape of the little child you saw just now. One reason I assume she lost the fight is because unlike her other self this Reikiko lacks any memories, and until recently didn't even have the ability to feel emotions."
And as if on cue the child returned with a small plate in her hands, seemingly holding a bottle of water and a towel. She approached the man, who in her eyes still looked like a Barbarian and raised the plate upwards to him, a smile slowly surfacing on her lips.
He looks scary, but he feels nice... Kind of like a big bear. Maybe his name is actually Pie-bear instead of Pieter?

Toma listened with great interest as Hikari began her explanation of what had happened in West City. Curiously, the child had left the group to go get some water. “But Scargot, don’t you have a glass of water in your hands…?” Toma asked curiously, pointing to the glass Scargot was holding, then he shrugged. He supposed it didn’t really matter. Hikari explained that the girl wasn’t ready to see the footage yet, and that it would be best if she were gone. Toma could understand that. No point in bringing a child to worry about such matters.
He watched the fight in West City on the hologram, and listened to what Hikari explained. The Bio-android had fought Ninjin, Daiki, and Athren. Toma had thought that the powers he had felt in West City felt somewhat familiar. That explained why. “So that explains why I felt a familiar energy… I see…” He mumbled to himself as he continued to watch.
The screen changed, to show Reikiko talking with Ninjin and Daiki, and how they were forced to retreat. He didn’t blame them. He had felt Reikiko’s power at the time and Ninjin and Daiki hadn’t stood a chance during that fight. He’d have probably done something similar in their situation, depending on some things. But then it changed, showing Athren get defeated and absorbed into Rekiko’s body. Toma stayed silent for this part, thinking over things.
“So Athren is dead, then…” Toma finally acknowledged, before looking back at the temple where the girl was after Hikari explained that Reikiko had split, forming two seperate Rei’s. That was an interesting thought. He wondered what would happen if one of the Rei’s got killed. Would the other die, too? He had no quarrel with the girl, of course. It hadn’t been her decision to come into this world, or get seperated from her other half. He couldn’t harm her for what she had done when she was whole. She was a new being now, and she deserved the chance that all beings got. Her other half, on the other hand, that was a different story.
But soon after that, before Toma got to ask his question, the girl returned with a glass of water and towel for Pieter, who was still half-dead on the lookouts floor. He really didn’t understand why Pieter was having so much trouble breathing up here. Toma had been fine when he first came to the Lookout, before Scargot was even on Earth. Was the atmosphere really so bad up here? Toma smiled at Reikiko, and nodded, then motioned to Pieter. “He’ll be fine. Give him a few minutes and he’ll be back on his feet again. He’s a Saiyan, just like me. Well, half-saiyan anyways.” He joked, laughing, before turning back to Scargot. “Anyways Scargot, thanks for your blessing about the dragon balls. I’m just worried that someone might try to use them to bring about great destruction and I don’t want to see that, is all.” Toma spoke, before looking back to Pieter, wondering how to get the Saiyan back on his feet.

The Namekian requested that the woman, called Hikari, get the drink and towel, but had the little girl go do that instead, reasoning that those were memories she would prefer her not to have. Toma explained that Pieter would be fine, because of his saiyan blood... Albeit, he got the proportions wrong, though, he was still correct about this. After Kami knows how many breaths he took, he felt his lungs adjusting, no longer providing the sensation of expanding to near explosion. Pieter, though he was in pay, found himself observing what had happened in the Western Capitol recording... It was disgusting.
The little girl had come up to him with the towel and water, the need of feeling 'okay' trumping his sense of being worried at the moment. He quickly took the water and begun chugging it, but not before a hazy mirage of his brother (a memory, in truth) popping up and telling him, "Pieter.... PIETER...! Don't drink too fast or else the devil serpent will bite you lungs!"
He stopped chugging, putting the bottle down and wiping his mouth. The mirage faded away, echoing the same thing over and over, as he thought, inauspiciously blurting the thought out loud, "Serpent knows I'm going to kick his ass one day for that comment... I was only 8 years old, damn it!"
Pieter caught wind of his thought blurting out his thoughts, and looked at the little girl. He mumbled, "Uhm... Sorry. Still getting used to the low atmosphere. Saw my brother telling me a bad story from when I was younger that didn't let me sleep for 2 days... Could I have that towel please?"

Scargot was concerned, the thought of burdening his allies with the Dragon Balls finally set in. He had already lost Athren and Reikiko to such power, what would happen if his best warriors also surcome to evil just because of the power that he bestowed on them. Scargot went into his own thoughts and began to think, after a few seconds of just standing still he opened his eyes and looked to Toma. He held out his hand which held the Holy Water and gestured for Toma to take it, he then turned to Hikari "I trust Toma, I have put my trust into many people and it has shown me that I can only trust those who deserve it. Athren I took a chance on and he killed Naroka and then got over run by evil. Reikiko.... Reikiko I put trust in because she was only a little girl, I thought I could change her but I was wrong."
Scargot took a deep breath before continuing, "It's about time I started taking my job as guardian a lot more seriously. This starts now, Toma that is Holy Water I have recognized where your heart lies and if my trust in you is correct then once you drink that holy water you will be given a power boost. It won't be anything gigantic so don't do anything stupid but I am sure it will be a push into the right direction."
Terrible times are coming and I am concerned about some of the evil energy in the world, I'm sorry Toma but I can not trust everyone with the dragon balls no matter how much you trust them. Power has corrupted too many people close to me and I can't allow it to go any further."
Scargot went silent and turned towards Pieter, "A Saiyan, Human Hybrid. Very interesting, I can feel that your brother had a huge impact on who you are today. Please join Toma and help me to protect this world." Scargot stretched out his hand and smiled to the man, Scargot could feel the strength that the man held within. "Hikari, when will you be finished with Avalon. Things are going to change here, we need to be prepared."
