(This is to be, timeline-wise, a thread that's before Alaistair's arrival at the games, with @mrpups, and anyone who'd be up for visiting the Cherry Valley Loft. Theme of the Thread. One more thing, I will be using this thread to learn the 'After Image' Technique with this character, which had been locked before. One last thing: This is a Zeni thread for Zucar and I, since we are using the Loft this day. It is a shop level 1. To Zucar, I decided to have you follow me in, so I can get things rolling, if you don't mind.)
Recovery was going to be a long effort... People were scrambled outside, trying to gather possessions that are, hopefully, not destroyed, or being caught up in this dreary spring rain. The hot, humid air was making it rather unpleasant for the citizens, rich and poor, young and old, to live life peacefully! If only the Blue Banner Army had decided to trick the military to going outside the city, into the Gizard Wastelands, where they could've caught them in a pincer maneuver and forced their surrender! So many lives... So many lives had to die that day.
One of the things being done, a new upstart business, who've recently decided to assist in the Reikiko Games by making everyone feel at ease and comfort, had opened their doors to the public, rich and poor, young and old, to the building. Today, the owner decided that he and his worker(s) were more than up to the task of hosting the people. Hundreds of thousands would get the privilege of knowing what the rich have experienced on planet Earth. That log cabin feeling, with soft jazz playing with an open fireplace warming up the room while people talked about the days past and days coming.
The previous workers of the Loft, whom Alaistair acquired the ancient business from, decided it be best to see the ways of the ancient Devil Kaioshin, who challenged the universe's perspective on things by revealing his true identity: A creature not of Earth. A creature more fitted to see on another world, or in the Underworld, where strange things were commonality! He decided he would not hide his face, but he would not reveal what species he was. It was an effort to keep that sort of mystery within the Cherry Valley Loft's halls.
Alaistair had just recently had to, in his thoughts which he kept blocked from Zucar, his saiyan barbarism, in order to preserve his plans with the saiyan boy. He and the saiyan would land outside the Cherry Valley Loft, a place with warm, amber lights shining through the windows with two big Neon signs hanging from the sides, identifying it as the Cherry Valley Loft. The exterior of the building was a Black color and made from shingles and heavy, porpoise wood. It was weathered, but it was Alaistair's, and now Zucar's, place to call, 'Home,' though it currently didn't have the pieces needed for a home. Rather, it was a place of meeting, where individuals could talk, eat delicacies, and enjoy the homely atmosphere. At the current time, the Cherry Valley Loft was only a lounge, and not the full lofty hotel it once been, as it needed renovations on its higher level floors.
At the current time, it had been a place where those made homeless and lost a lot in the destruction could rest and be away from the rain. Alaistair walked through the oak door, holding it open as he told his new companion, "There's much to learn, despite having acquired my blessing, and with it, much of my knowledge and experiences. You must learn how to apply that, and the Loft is the best place to-"
"Ah, Master Alaistair," an ancient voice called out, interrupting Alaistair a bit. He turned, to see the door demon from when he first came in, in his humanoid form. His face looked very craggy and grey, as if it had seen better days. He appeared old, far older than Alaistair, wearing an old timey vest suit, colored maroon, and a white buttoned long sleeve shirt with a matching bow tie. His eyebrows were large and, oddly enough, combed. His head, save for the eyebrows, were lacking a strand of hair. The energy resonating from him, although restrained, had been noting that, like Alaistair and the other tenets, he had been demonic in nature. However, given the circumstances of living in a multi-racial world, where aliens walked around everywhere, and not to mention Alaistair's own disregard to hiding what he looked like, Dorgia had decided to show his own appearance.
"Ah! Mr. Dorgia," Alaistair responded, a smile and a hand shake, "You look to be in better spirits today! Should I take that Armell and Ceres will be staying to work in the Loft as well?"
"We're all still considering servicing the business, what with Monsieur Cesare having left, but if you were to apply the fundamental reason for us to stay, then it is very much so," Dorgia explained, his old voice being droll and tired despite a smile being on his face.
"Of course, of course! One can not expect to work without receiving some reward! In a few days, you will certainly receive that, and do not worry about working in the mean time. I'm sure it has been a very long time since the three of you had received some ease of mind, no," Alaistair replied, his smile still remaining, "Speaking of resting, where are the two?"
"They are playing the music, as we speak. Ceres is playing the saxophone, while Armell is on the piano. Two others had decided to join them, a human male on the drums, and a Namekian on the cello, providing the base. It's been very soothing to many of the people waiting to be served," Dorgia replied, with a smirk. Alaistair nodded in agreement, bowing as he did.
He replied, "Of course! Now, I shall be making my way around the area, to make sure everyone is comfortable... Ah, I forgot to mention! The strapping lad here, who's in dire need of a clothing change to carry out the jobs I have for him, is Zucar. Zucar, this is Dorgia. He's one of the people who worked here before I came to own the Cherry Valley Loft! I will be making my way through main lobby, where everyone should be seated, comfortably I hope with the fire blazing in the fireplace. Zucar, why don't you head to the bar, and see what is going on over there? I will be over there momentarily. Pleasure to see you once more, Dorgia."
"Indeed. Before you go to the bar, boy, a note to be had: The drinks are for the customers. Drinking anything on duty will result in punishment that I am sure Master Alaistair has told you. In addition, the servants clothes are in the back, past the kitchen area. There is a changing area for you to use, and might I say, you will need a dash of cologne..."
With that note, Dorgia made his way into the lobby along with Alaistair. The devil Kaioshin looked around the large, open room, taking note of homing many people were about. In his mind, linked to Zucar, he told him, "Be ready, my student. I will be showing you how to handle this duty and how to be a strapping lad."
Alaistair walked around, talking to each customer with his back straight and his footing careful. He looked at each person, nodding, asking how everything had been. Each person replied about needing some blankets, or a brandy. Some were rude, demanding it of the new owner, while others were a bit nervous by his appearance. A sincere smile, to each, was made, as he told them, "I will bring everything soon enough. Currently, we are a bit understaffed, so it will take a bit, but do enjoy the warmth of the fire and the music from the band. However, I will make sure you are served exactly to the Cherry Valley Loft's 5 star rating, that it was so famous for all those years ago."
