Name: Nabel (derived from Annabelle, a Raggedy Ann doll that was supposedly possessed by a demon)
Alias: Jerry
Species: Demon
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance:
Attire
Base Form/Demonic Will/Makyo Star
Standing at a mere 3'11" and weighing in at less than sixty pounds, Nabel is a diminutive, ill-proportioned demon with a grotesque appearance. He was born with one eye, no hair and dark, leathery skin. He also kinda lost his right arm at one point; he still isn't sure how. And during his stay with the Vampyre Kiara, he had begun growing a small, but thick set of horns on the base of his head, near his sharp, pointed ears.
Due to a vile combination of bad luck, clumsy decisions and youthful stupidity, Nabel has a plethora of large gashes and injuries, most notably around his face, chest and back. Just to prove to himself that he can, Nabel uses a thread and needle to seal his wounds. This has caused some skin discoloration and premature decay, though it grows slightly when the lad is powered up. All of these combined have caused his skin to be looser than it should be. Overall, Nabel looks like a raggedy doll that's been forgotten underneath a dirty bed. A bed in a very unsavory brothel. And it has horns.

Nabel not only receives a boost in power, but also several subtle upgrades to his appearance. The most noticeable change is Nabel's body itself, which increases from its incredibly short stature to 4'8", a less tiny height, and realigns his proportions to something less alien and jarring. Though the discolored and rotting skin is still present to a certain degree, as well as the stitches, Nabel's flesh has noticeably improved in condition. To add to this, Nabel's muscle mass also becomes more defined, and his skin becomes less loose and dead-looking. And to round off the newer look, the horns on the sides of Nabel's head grow sleeker and thinner, which serves to highlight his demonic nature. (Oddly enough, Nabel doesn't seem to outgrow his clothes in this state. If anything, they actually fit him better.)
History:
Nabel was created from a wave of negative energy floating around in the demon realm, a birth which was not exactly completely out of place for a demon. What was uncommon, however, was the energy that formed Nabel. Because it wasn't really that evil. It was mostly just sad and pathetic. It was probably from someone arguing with a telemarketer, no one wins in that situation. Nabel was a tiny and scrawny thing as a child. Growing up, Nabel was deemed as threatening as a baby panda, and was constantly abused and harassed by his peers. By the time he was close to reaching his sixth birthday, so much word of Nabel's frail and fragile disposition had spread around his side of the Demon Realm, to the point that a traveling group of warriors took pity on him and decided to intervene, forcibly sending the lad to a puppy kennel on Earth. Specifically, the resort City of South Capitol.
Unfortunately for Nabel, the puppy kennel turned out to be an illegal dog fighting ring, and the young demon was strong-armed into fighting dogs as a sideshow act, where he was beaten to near-death by the handlers, and almost eaten alive by the various battling dogs, as onlookers enjoyed the blood-sport. Somehow, the demon persevered through all of this, killing each animal that came his way, and This whole debacle cut into two and a half weeks of the boy's life, before the police arrived and dismantled the entire operation, somehow completely missing the small child that was caged in a goddamned pit bull pen. Utilizing some his fairly keen wit, the lad managed to flee from the scene with his life, surviving through the maggot-infested wounds that were lathered across his body.
The now-deformed Nabel wandered around the city in a feverish daze, searching desperately for a way back to his home realm. After eventually losing consciousness from shock and blood-loss, the child awoke in an abandoned warehouse, where he was greeted by an alcoholic scrapper and wandering swordsman, who had went by the name: Charles Lee Ray, or 'Master Chuck' for short. After explaining his situation to the oddly unperturbed Chuck would go on to take care of Nabel for the coming weeks, slowly helping the boy recover into a more suitable condition. After realizing that neither of them had anywhere to go, Chuck decided to take Nabel in as his student, who had developed an interest in a potential career in combat.
To protect his pupil from unneeded suspicion, Master Chuck gave Nabel the pet name 'Jerry'. And though it took awhile for the demon to adjust to that name, after several weeks, he had fully embraced the title. Nabel trained under Master Chuck for more than a decade, eventually becoming a vaguely formidable fighter and passable blade-nut. With both his physical and spiritual prowess set into motion, the boy slowly developed his skills under Chuck's melee focused fighting style, incorporating his own flair into his master's move-set. Though at some point, their limited funds required them to cut on expenses, forcing them to drop Nabel's training in the costly art of swordplay.
As the months dragged on, Nabel and Chuck grew close to each others' hearts, eventually settling into a surprisingly functional surrogate father-son relationship. Between bouts of fleeing from social security and downing copious amounts of alcohol (a habit which he would pass onto the boy), the Konatsian would eventually recount bits and pieces of his life story to the demon. Though he never once told it in full detail, even openly acknowledging that chunks of it were stripped away due to the weight they possessed for the man, Charles assured his pupil that everything he said was true.
Years before he had met Nabel, Charles Lee Ray, under his original Konatsian name, was a young, but talented sword-fighter, who had come to Earth with his twin sister to live out new lives as immigrants. With the siblings taking new names to better blend into human society, the freshly dubbed Charles Lee Ray moved into North Capitol with his twin, Jean Jill Ray. Here, the twins started their own training dojo, with Chuck serving as an instructor and face of the company, and Jean taking care of documentation, accounting and most of the behind the scenes work. The twin's dojo originally specialized in teaching traditional Konatsian martial, but quickly developed into its own, teaching its students a down-to-Earth version of Chuck's own eclectic mix of ki manipulation, swordplay and close-quarters-combat, which its practitioners dubbed 'Chuck Kwan Do', in honor of its progenitor. Additionally, the dojo also offered musical lessons to those interested
Over time, the dojo picked up in popularity, launching Charles Lee Ray's respectable career as a martial artist. But all the good fortune did not last, however, because a mere few days after nearly plowing through an entire tournament with ease, only losing the last round to an equally powerful warrior, Charles was forced to cut all ties with his dojo and livelihood, after accidentally killing two Saiyan Elites that were stationed on the planet, in a drunken bar brawl. Leaving their mangled bodies disfigured beyond recognition, the swordsman spent his remaining years biding away from authority. Eventually becoming a directionless alcoholic and drifter, before stumbling upon Nabel, and bettering himself into a functional alcoholic that went around looking for odd jobs and good fights.
On the evening of Nabel's fifteenth birthday, Master Chuck Lee Ray gifted Nabel two heirlooms that were meant to be given to the man's first-born child, the one that didn't existOr at least the one that he didn't even know existed.. These were: a brown cloak that bore the image of Chuck's familial symbol, and an aged Konatsian ocarina, with some rudimentary playing sheets wrapped around it. Sadly, Chuck passed away shortly afterwards, during what was believed to be a fatal six day drinking binge, which he had apparently taken as an endurance exercise. Upon finding his master's dead body alone in an alleyway, Nabel fled the scene in terror, taking only the barest essentials, along with his newfound presents, with him. Before that, however he left anonymous tip to lead the local authorities to the site of the Konatsian's supposed death.

Initially, Nabel only owned one outfit: white shorts, black boots and a brown cloak; it is as fashionable as it is clean. However, during his time working as a butler, he received a lovely black dress-suit and waistcoat to dress up in. But with Nabel's job long gone, the dress-suit has fallen into ruin, becoming tattered, ripped and just as grimy as Nabel's old set of clothes. Thankfully, the waistcoat has fared better, being mostly intact and safely hidden, aside from the inevitable dust and grime of poverty.
