Well, he was certainly a strange...man?
As Komoto flew into the sky from the alley, Tenshi still wasn't sure what he, or even possibly it, was. She looked at the envelope and communicator she'd been handed. One was heavier than the other, and sadly it wasn't the envelope. Still, as she pocketed the two, retched against the wall for five minutes, she couldn't help but think that things were going to change.
And change they did. It wasn't even a week later when the communicator began making odd noises. It was morning, Tenshi having slept in with no plans, when it began vibrating and beeping. She sat up in bad, staring groggily at the bit of metal. It was beside the envelope of zeni that Komoto had given her. This was unopened, as the Valkyrie had little to spend it on. She stood, stretched, and walked to her dresSer.
"Let's see what you want..." She mumbled, picking up the hunk of metal. Their was a rectangular button on the top, and she pressed it, lighting up the screen. Across scrolled the words 'Fortune Teller Desert, 1300'. Confused at first, it took only a few seconds to get the meaning. She looked at her clock, which was on 12 hour time. It read 6:45 AM. Guess this 'Red Eclipse' doesn't play she thought to herself. And of course, she couldn't think without having the demons respond.
"Red eclipse? Never heard of them. For an organized crime syndicate, they must be new, or reaching low to branch out to the likes of you."
"You're not getting to me today," Tenshi said aloud. "This could be an important day." She didn't consider herself a criminal, nor evil, nor really the type of person who would even join a syndicate. But, Komoto's words echoed in her head.
"We're a faction to some, a syndicate to others, but our goals are simple. To help each other achieve each of our independent goals, including yours."
She wasn't quite sure what her goals even were, aside from finding out about her past. But, she'd met one man who could've helped, maybe there were others. Hell, maybe going against the law could even be...fun.
It was hard to wast time until one o'clock. As with waiting for anything, the closer it got, the longer the minutes seemed to drag by. It was all Tenshi could do to not get there too early. As it was, she was thirty minutes early when her feet touched the sand of the desert. She looked around.
For miles, their was practically nothing but sand. Wind blew it, shaped it, molded it. She merely adopted it, into her clothes. Her hair whipped, and she had to tuck her wings as tight to her back as possible, lest she too be blown away. The sand even struck at her bare skin, so she pushed her armor out as far as it would go, which wasn't really that far. And their she stood, fully armored, waiting for...Well, she didn't even know who was supposed to meet her. Hopefully someone other than Komoto. There was something...off about him.

Komoto stared at Tenshi from the distance with the binoculars Kouda let him borrow. Komoto didn't want to just invite a random stranger to his place of living, but orders are orders. Still, doctor kouda never said that Komoto couldn't test Tenshi. As Komoto watched Tenshi, he was wondering what the girl was thinking.
"Probably something about punctuality, and hoping not to deal with me again", Komoto thought as he got off the ground. Komoto started walking to Tenshi, wondering what test he could give her, and then he decided, he would test Tenshi in Strength, Will, and Speed. And what better way to test that with a fight.
After walking for a few minutes, Komoto was near Tenshi to the point that she could hear his words, full of happiness strangely, saying, "I see you arrived Tenshi, I guess you are interested if you came out all the way into the desert of fortunetellers. Now then, before you meet the boss..... (Pulls out his pistol Emperor)...... Let's test how well you fight!"
Komoto pulled the trigger, but to Tenshi's surprise, the gun didn't fire bullets. The Emperor compresses, and fires bullets made of blue Ki, that comes from Komoto own body.

Komoto approached Tenshi, speaking from far enough to be considered distant, but close enough that she could hear him. She watched, warily, as he pulled out a gun, pointing it at her. Immediately her instincts kicked in, and she released her wings from clutch. Lucky she did, as he immediately shot at her. Had it not been for the wind, she wouldn't have been able to dodge fully with just her sidestep. Except...
The bullet had hit her against the forearm. It felt like a bee sting, with the protection from her armor. Confused, she realised that the weapon was not actually shooting bullets, but instead ki, supposedly from Komoto himself. She'd heard about weapons like these before, that acted as a sort of extension to one's own ability to fight. Utilising the bodies natural ki, you had a near limitless source of energy based rounds. Well, two can play at that game.
During her sidestep, Tenshi had put her two fists together, thumbs touching, drawing out. In the center was a shaft, which extended into a point. It was her energy spear, her key weapon.
"This is quite an odd way to greet a new recruit." Tenshi said, leaping forward, swinging the spear around her head. "Assuming, of course, you'll still have me."
Using her wings to angle correctly, when she landed the butt end of the shaft would be swung one handed perpendicular to Komoto's left ribs. In her right hand, Tenshi began charging up ki energy.

Komoto watched Tenshi's movements. Tenshi was slow in reacting to surprise attacks, but Komoto believed she still reacted good enough since Komoto was aiming for Tenshi's heart. If anyone would have failed to dodge that, they didn't deserve to be in the Red Eclipse with Komoto and the rest of the members.
Komoto was so busy on evaluating Tenshi's reaction to his shot, that for a split second he forgot about her, and remembered her as she swung what looked like a energy spear. It was too close to dodge, so Komoto decided to just take it, revealing Komotos's true defense.
(Ability durability comes into play, treat defense pl as 14,308. Offense pl is still 3,577)
The energy spear landed on Komoto's side, but Komoto didn't have useless things likes bones or organs, so the attack sliced into him slightly, then bounced off. "With anyone else, that might have been a lethal blow, good", Komoto said with satisfaction in his voice.
Komoto then used his free hand to attempt grabbing Tenshi from behind her head, pull her close, and attempt eye contact. If eye contact was met, Tenshi would fall under the effects of Saimin Nno Jutsu, a move that effects the mind. Tenshi would start seeing an illusionary Komoto while the real one was invisible to her. Komoto would use that to punch his opponent repeatedly while she couldn't see him.

Her spear made contact, though to Tenshi's surprise, it bit into the flesh, before bouncing off. She allowed it to spin once more, point facing forwards like it was supposed to.
"With anyone else, taht might have been a lethal blow, good." Tenshi grunted in reply, not really caring if Komoto was satisfied. She hadn't intended it to be a lethal blow, hitting his right side. Just to knock the wind out of a normal opponent.
However, in response, Komoto grabbed behind Tenshi's head. He brought her forward, and made eye contact. She began to grow dizzy, but a distant memory from the planet Nor caused an even bigger reaction. Ki surged into her body as she ascended into her first transformation. Ducking her head, and spreading her wings, she brought her right hand forward, aiming at Komoto's face with her charged ki blast. Following this, she swept both of her wings forward, pushing her back away from him. Aside from this, she made no real effort to attack, being in a defensive mind.
If she managed to escape, she would settle momentarily to gain her ground, forming her spear into a lance. A bladed weapon wouldn't work too well against this opponent. Her best bet was to piere him, in hopes she could cause him to be stunned long enough to try something else. She would take this opportunity to speak.
"I don't particularly like being grabbed by my head."
Armor full as she was currently capable, it now covered the majority of her skin. Most importantly, her eyes were covered better, slits allowing her to see through. She'd need to rely more on her ki-sensing now than previously, but hopefully it wouldn't be too much of a hinderance. She would wait for Komoto to do something first.

Komoto couldn't help but laugh, and couldn't stop laughing. Tenshi reacted flawlessly in the counter to Komoto's hypnosis, and she did even better escaping his grasp. Komoto then saw Tenshi armor up as she spoke about not liking to be touched behind her head.
Komoto could tell that Tenshi was fully prepared to fight, with no hesitation, nor caring about the consequences. Komoto continued laughing at the thought, but then suddenly stopped. Komoto then put the pistol back within its Hollister.
"I stand corrected Tenshi, it seems I misjudged you greatly. Welcome to Red Eclipse. The family would like to meet you now", Komoto said with honest happiness in his voice for once.
"I can tell that you'll fit right in", Komoto said as he pointed to the north, "headquarters is right over there. Let's go, shall we?". Komoto then started walking in the direction he pointed too.

[font face="times new roman" Komoto's laughter was extraordinarily out of context. Still in her defensive stance, she watched as he continued to laugh, before stopping abruptly to holster his pistol.
"I stand corrected Tenshi, it seems I misjudged you greatly." He welcomed her to Red Eclipse, letting her know that 'the family' would like to meet her. Although he seemed to have happiness in his voice previously, it didn't seem as genuine as it did now. She wasn't quite sure why, but judging by what he'd said, Tenshi assumed that he hadn't been too sure about her. She knew she still wasn't sure about him. He pointed North, letting her know that the direction to go was this way. She lessened her stance slightly.
"So that's it? We're done fighting?" She let herself descend back to normal, still keeping armor up to defend against the wind and sand. Tenshi let her lance dissipate, glad she didn't have to use it. She wasn't quite sure what kind of damage that would have caused, having never needed to use it before. She was also more adept at using a regular bladed spear than the pointed round lance. Still remaining tense, she followed Komoto North, towards 'headquarters'.
"That seemed almost too easy," the demons said in her brain. She chose again to ignore them; she was getting good at it. However, they had a point. It was too easy. But, maybe they were right earlier. Maybe Red Eclipse does in fact need people.
