Gurin kept doing this process over and over until all of the pile of logs were on the other end of the river. Gurin was tired out as the ogre stood towering him after he had gotten the last log across and the ogre now looking down at him and now knocking over the large pile in the pond. The ogre now speaking to him afterwards.
Ogre: Opps. My bad. do me a favor and bring all those logs out of the water and over to the giant statue.

Ogre: Today is a different day for you kid. You won't be working the factory today, you will be working at cleaning the giant statue. It has a lot of dust and needs cleaning so get to it.
Gurin approached the statue and started cleaning it from the top and all the way down to the toes. This assignment alone took half the day since it was a big statue and finally after cleaning it, the ogre came back and spoke with him.

Both Gurin and the Ogre vanishing to the upper world and the ogre folding his arms as he closely monitors Gurin's actions, for this was a test to see how kind of a soul he really can be. With a smirk leaving his face, he had hope that Gurin would fail this part of the test. Gurin floating along the planes and looking at a woman who sits on a bench and cries. Gurin floats over to the bench and sits next to her. Gurin now speaks to her.
Gurin: I don't mean to be a bother miss, but why are you crying?
The woman takes notice of the spirit and then speaks to him with a sorrow tone of voice.
Woman: Well since I died I can never ever see my husband ever again....
Gurin: Well... I know it's tough.... But I'm pretty sure he misses you a lot and would love nothing more then to be with you ever second. I wish I had a bond like that with another person.
Woman: What's your name... and why are you a floating spirit?
Gurin: My name's Gurin and well I did some bad things in my life and now I suffer my punishment every single day now. From all the bad that someone does, something positive can come from it. You may have lost your life and you miss your husband every day, but the strong bond and love you have for one another, that's something that will never go away.
The woman embraces and hugs Gurin, as those last words really affected her and knew that he was right. The woman stopped crying and thanked him.
Gurin now vanishing from the woman and appeared next to the ogre once again and the ogre spoke to him.

[ Rookie l Chapter 03 ]
A hole appeared right underneath Gurin and there he fell down to the lower dimension of hell, where those with bodies roamed free and the various characters were different. Characters who read books, train with each other, train by themselves, and then there were those who just sat there and enjoyed the scenery. Those who were new to hell had to learn the ropes really fast if they were going to survive such a place. Gurin had looked around and notice a man in particular who looked ancient and appeared to be an alien that has extinct, though this wasn't the case, this alien in particular had aged over time that his skin was a much older color than the norm. Gurin walked up to the man and before he could even get much closer to his direction, two larger aliens got in his way and towered him as they had both their arms across their chest. One of them spoke to Gurin and with a grin he spoke.
Alien: I suggest you not go to him, only those who are worthy can approach him.
Gurin: What makes him so special
The alien who sat down rose to his feet and walked over to Gurin and his uniform appeared to be that of robes and appearing to look like a monk. The alien spoke to Gurin directly and kept the conversation short.
Monk: You really want to know what makes me so special. Beat me in a fight and you will earn your place here.
Gurin nodded at the monk and they both walked over to an arena that looked like the tournament that is on earth, yet this was much different in appearance than the one on earth. Gurin nodded at this man, signaling that he was ready to fight as Gurin got into a stance and formed two swords in his hand using ki alone and the monk bowing to him with both his hands placed together and preformed the action. The monk then stood upright and with his left arm to his back while his right hand was flat palm and his elbow bent. The monk spoke to him with superiority.
Monk: Your stance is wrong, your engage is that of a common soldier, and your proper greeting of combat is childish. You have must to learn.
Gurin: What was that....I was captain during my years of being alive!
Monk: A captain? I was an emperor who was vastly known before frieza's time. But since Freiza is very well known through out the world, I became a shadow.
Gurin: Lets just fight.
Gurin took his run forward towards the monk as he threw one sword over to the monk and within close proximity, exploded the sword. The smoke clearing and Gurin seeing that the monk leaped backwards. The monk then spoke as his sandals made landing with the tiles.
Monk: Explosive swords hm..... interesting....
Gurin still continued his run and vanished from his position as he appeared behind the monk and attempted to stab him in the back. Before the sword could even touch the monk's back, the monk backflipped over Gurin's head and sweep kicked him the moment he took landing behind Gurin. Gurin rising to the air for a brief moment and then dropping to the ground as the monk held him in a choke hold position on the ground and restrained him from movement as Gurin began to choke and eventually gave up. The monk releasing Gurin and spoke to him for the final time.
Monk: You are the fastest opponent I have ever beaten here. Now leave my sight before I have my security take care of you. You may have been a big shot captain, but down here, I am king.
Gurin walked away in shame and sat down on a large boulder as he stared into the blood river in front of him and wondered what he could of done to won that battle. The monk now came from behind him and placed his right hand onto Gurin's shoulder and spoke to him.
Monk: Before I was an emperor during my time, I was a captain, a common soldier, you can say that I was just like you once. I was in your shoes once, and all I did was get another pair. What i'm trying to say is, you can change your destiny and become a God if you wanted to. I can give you the training directly where it would appear as you are a student, yet in reality I am progressing you to becoming much stronger than what your title will hold. An underground tournament will commence in three days. I want you to enter and the winner gets to be revived back to life.
Gurin: Why haven't you-
Before Gurin could finish his sentence, the monk interrupted him and spoke.
Monk: It's because my time is over as ruler, sure I can beat everyone here down in hell, but if I ever get revived back to life...well... I would lose to the next generation of fighters. Your generation... Now if you want to truly leave this place for good. Enter that tournament and win for the both of us. Your first assignment will be given to you 8:00 sharp. so be ready.
[ Day 01 ]
Gurin awoken from his nap and the monk had his arms behind his back as he stood firm and yet relaxed as Gurin rose to his feet and saluted him military style and awaited his orders. The monk looked at him and without hesitation, locked his right ankle with Gurin's left ankle and with a simple push and hand maneuvers, slammed Gurin to the ground and on his back he laid there and looked up at the monk who now spoke to him.
Monk: You are no soldier, no captain, you will one day become a rogue who takes orders from no one. I will discipline you mentally and physically. so now be prepared for your first exercise.
The next few minutes passed and Gurin sat indian style on the floor and with five plates on each knee cap, each shoulder, each palm, and his head.
Monk: First lesson, one must be patient if one wishes to become successful. Lets see your patience Gurin.
Nothing bothered Gurin for the first ten minutes, until a fly tickled his noise and bothered him so much that Gurin moved slightly and the plates fell to the ground in a matter of seconds. The monk then spoke to him.
Monk: Allowing distraction like that, will only make you have to work harder towards your goal. Now do it again!
Ten minutes more went by and Gurin sat there still and relaxed as a fly flew around him and yet he didn't move not once and the monk knew that he was ready for his next test.
Monk: Now I want you to pretend you are sitting on a chair and stand there with the plates and lets see if we can test your endurance and will power to not give up.
Thirty minutes flew by, constant repeat of dropping the plates due to itching of the nose, bothersome of the fly, and noises. Finally, a full hour went by and he was calm and relaxed as possible. Gurin was a fast learner and within the next three hours, he didn't move a muscle. Sweat dripped, odor grew stronger, Gurin was relaxed and calmed about the long wait for his mentor to finally say something. The monk finally approached Gurin and said.
Monk: Excellent work. Now you can let go and we can continue your next test.
Monk: Relaxation and endurance is what you gained. Now I will see how good your other senses are. More importantly, your hearing.
The monk blind folds Gurin and then throws tiny rocks at him and Gurin take the impact of every single one of them as the monk then speaks to him.
Monk: Feel the change of wind direction down to the very grain and you will be able to evade anything coming your way. Now do it again!
The monk throws the rocks once more and Gurin evades most of them. After thirty minutes of constant routine, Gurin finally evades all of them nonstop and then the next part of the test happens.
Monk: Your next step now, involves you catching these pebbles with chopsticks. Without a blindfold of course.
Gurin proceed to routinely do this as it took him an hour to become a master at it. Gurin showed great potential and these trainings weren't just going to go to waste. Now his big time training was going to unfolded. Gurin was given the whole night to eat and sleep, for tomorrows big day was approaching.
[ Day 02 ]
The next day Gurin was ready for his training, and this training was different than others. Gurin crouched and got into a stance as he was ready to fight against Monk.
Monk: Deflection is a key important method of fighting an enemy. With deflection, you will be able to deflect almost anything that comes your way. Now form your sword and lets begin.
Gurin forming a sword in his right hand as he gripped onto the handle tightly and awaited for the monk to begin. Without a wasted second, the monk fired upon hundreds of ki blast forward, Gurin deflecting almost all of them while leaping backwards to have much distance from the monk. The area into small creators, the smoke clearing, Gurin panting, and the training wasn't over, this was just the beginning. The monk now began to fire giant balls of ki. Gurin quickly deflecting the majority of the giant ki blast and the training continued to where he was able beams, giant balls of ki, Gurin had single handily became an expert in this field of training and continued to train till the night grew to two in the morning and Gurin was still up and at it with deflecting tons of the blast coming his way. The monk even had others join in to fire upon him, but Gurin deflected and avoided from being hit from the ki blast. The body agile, the strength within, Gurin was a true warrior and ready for the much more harder test. The monk stood high above the air and created a large spirit bomb, which would give Gurin more endurance and to also test to see if he would be able to stop an attack like that. The monk created a similar technique to the size of a spirit bomb, having it big enough to form a large and massive creator. The massive ball was fired and Gurin placed both hands against it and proceeded to be able to lift it up over his over and as more pressure was placed on it, Gurin went from having it over his head, to having him at the brink of destruction. The massive ball quickly formed into nothing as the monk landed next to Gurin and finally spoke with him.
Monk: We will continue to do this over and over. I want you to become a God like being and with my training, you will be able to achieve such a goal.
Blood, sweat and tears, is what took this routine to be finally over with. Gurin being exhausted on the floor, and his expertise in this field was on part with the monk. The monk was very proud of his student and allowed him to rest up, for his next training was more close combat. Gurin finally recovering and the last training step of the day was the monk teaching him quick close quarter combat moves which can be used effectively. Gurin was put through the grinder, his shoulder dislocated, his wrist, his fingers, kneecaps, ankle, and even the neck. After two namekians kept repairing his joints and the hours put into the process of this unique close quarters fight, Gurin became double jointed in all his joints, and also learning the fighting techniques that his mentor had thought him as well. The monk realizing that Gurin was the right person to pick out of the crowd, because before him, none of his former students could live up to the monks expectation, Gurin was different than the sheep in the crowd, he was a lion. The day ended with Gurin taking his nap on the floor and awaiting for the next day to approach.
[ Day 03 ]
The lot numbers were picked from the box, and Gurin had number one drawn out of the box and awaited for his opponent to be chosen and once that was settled, Gurin and his opponent walked into the ring. The alien standing before Gurin was a namekian of excellent caliber and carried two ki blast gunners and awaited for Gurin to make his move. Gurin was a different person than before. He stood just like the monk would be standing, his eyes were closed and his meditation was strong. Gurin opened his eyes and stared at his opponent and awaited for him to start. The namekian had no patience and fired tons of ki blast forward towards Gurin. Gurin used one hand to quickly deflect the incoming fire and within a few seconds passing, Gurin vanished from his position and appeared behind the Namekian, having ki already charge in his right hand in the form of a karate chop and impacting the namekian's back of the neck. The namekian dropping to the ground and being knocked out.
The next series of matches commence and one after another, the training that the monk put him through, reflected the type of opponents he was facing, Gurin even throwing a man's massive ball back at him. Gurin used the training he was given and showed the end results in the tournament. Gurin now was facing one of the big timers of hell who wanted to leave this place so badly that he trained countless hours in private and waiting for this day to come. Gurin battle with this man and within the hour, both were exhausted and tired, but Gurin gained the upper hand by using his close quarter skills on the man and won the match and his freedom out of here. Gurin won the trophy and his ticket out of here and the moment he reached the gates, the fighters who lost in the tournament blocked his path, along with others who weren't in the tournament. This last fight was Gurin's chance at getting out of here. Gurin was ready to fight all of them.
