The vibrant sun blistered the skin of the yellow Namekian. Furthermore magnified by the glass pane window, it disturbed him to no end. “It’s not supposed to be sunny, here. It’s supposed to be raining. That’s what the TV said.” He groaned, moving towards the couch. “Brodah, you live on Earth now. You’re gonna have to get used to this type of stuff!” The young human known as Kaine retorted. He slung his muscular arm around Astro’s neck, barely able to accomplish even this due to their difference in height. “You’re one tall booger, ya know that?” The yellow Namekian only emitted a grunt, keeping his large, fibrous arms folded across his chest. “Don’t ya think you’ve harassed him enough? Besides, you lost to him in our last training session. You should know better than to try and make him mad. “ Kaine gulped down a glob of saliva, obviously taken back that his own sister would choose the Namekian’s side over his. “Astro is my Brodah! He wouldn’t hurt me on purpose, would ya Brodah?” The long-maned human gazed up at Astro with beady little eyes, hoping that he’d agree. Astro smirked, placing his gigantic hand (in comparison to a human) upon Kaine’s shoulder. “Depends.”
“Alright Brodah, show me what you got! If you can’t beat me again then you ain’t getting any food!” Kraine assumed his battle stance, allowing white ki emanate around his body. Astro had decided to keep his cloak on for this training session, removing his hood in the process. He clenched his fists, causing small pebbles around his feet to rise in the air. “Hyyaaah!” Yellow energy formed around the abnormally colored Namekian, imprinting a small indent in the earth below his feet. He assumed a battle stance similar to the Namekians normal posture. “Get ready Brodah, I’m comin’ for ya!” Sienna sat idly by, floating in the air due to her prowess with ki control. She normally sat by, practicing ki control while Astro and Kaine battled it out. She was the one seemingly teaching the two brutes.
Kaine launched himself forward, bursting his right fist out like a rocket. His speed was incredible, able to close the gap between himself and the yellow Namekian within seconds. Astro crossed his arms in front of his face, allowing Kaine’s punch to strike his forearms. The attack didn’t even succeed in budging Astro an inch. He opened his eyes, using his superior physical strength to push Kaine back with a burst of energy. “Hhhoowwwwwoooooo!” Astro threw his arm forward, using his abilities as a Namekian to stretch his arm out, increasing the reach of his punch. Kaine easily swatted the yellow arm sideways, completely oblivious to the fact that Astro used it as a distraction. Before Kaine could even blink, the Namekian appeared before him, striking him with a powerful, ki-induced left punch to his cheek. The attack sent Kaine flying back several yards. Sienna opened her eyes for a moment, in time to witness her brother knocked aside. “Yeesh, Astro. You could take it easy on him, y’know.”
Three blasts of blue ki shot from the cloud of smoke that surrounded Kaine, aimed right for Astro. He bobbed and weaved through the air, effectively avoided each blast. With his remarkable speed, Kaine jumped into the air, appearing behind the Namekian. In one swift motion, the human swung his left leg, sweeping it through the air in an attempt to strike Astro in the side of the head. With a sense of urgency and devotion to training circulating through his head, Astro spun on his toes, lifting his right arm up beside his head in order to deflect, or at the very least, block the attack. “Your attacks have gotten heavier, and your precision is amazing. Have you been training behind my back?” Kaine smirked, using the momentum from Astro’s arm to backflip through the air, and throw two, quick jabs. Astro cocked his head from side to side, dodging the punches. “I’ve gotta catch up somehow!” The two warriors met face to face in the middle of the field, exchanging a torrent of punches, kicks, and elbows. Each connected blow resonated a small shockwave from the area of impact.
The two beings clasped hands, surging forth with large amounts of ki. Though their power wasn’t enough to absolutely destroy the landscape, it definitely summed up enough to be felt in the immediate area. “They just keep getting stronger and stronger every day..” Astro took it upon himself to switch his grip from Kaine’s hands to his wrists, utilizing his monstrous physical strength to lift the small human into the air. “Oh crap!” Astro may hold the superior physical advantage, but Kaine had maneuverability and speed on his side. He twisted his waist in mid-air, grabbing ahold of Astro’s wrists in order to pull the Namekian into the air. It came as just as much of a surprise to Sienna as it did Astro. Kaine hadn’t been able to put up much of a fight in their previous sparring matches. He brought Astro down into the ground like a meteor, destroy the surrounding earth. “Ya see? I’m not all talk, gu-” Astro’s hand burst from the smoke, grasping Kaine’s face. Just his palm was enough to cover from his chin, to his eyes, allowing for his fingers to have a much better grip. The Namekian clasped his free hands fist together, throwing it forth to strike Kaine in the abdomen. The sheer force from the attack caused saliva to stream out of the humans mouth. Along with the devastating pressure, Kaine was sent flying back once again. He landed on his feet, clutching his stomach with both of his arms. “Good lord! Where the hell did that strength come from? “ The two pugilists stood on either side of the field, seemingly equally matched in terms of fighting skill. “Are you ready for round two?” “You bet!” Before the two could continue their match, a blast of yellow energy struck the field in front of them, displaying a massive display of power. In the distance, a mischievous, yet sinister laugh chuckled through the wind. “Kiiikikikikikikiiii!”
“What the hell is that?” Small green alien-looking monsters flew around in the air, apparently oblivious to their surrounds, only focused on the three beings down below. Kaine’s eyes followed each and every one of them, counting. “One… Two.. Three.. Four?! How are we gonna deal with four of them?!” Their clawed green feet landed upon the ground, dancing around frantically. “Kiiikikikikiiikikiki!” “Gnhh..! Sienna, Run!” In the blink of an eye, one of the creatures fired a sphere of ki off in Sienna’s direction. “SIENNA!” The blast seemingly deflected itself off to the right, destroying a bulk of the forest that surrounded the field. Astro stood in front of a cowering Sienna, his left arm hung out to the side, indicating that he had diverted the blast. A sigh of relief escaped Sienna’s petite lips. “Thank you, Astro…” “Kaine is right, you must go now.” A sense of urgency was present within Astro’s voice. He assumed his traditional Namekian battle stance in order to combat these new foes.
“What do you want?” He was trying to at least feed some energy off of the little green men, seeing as they weren’t nearly as intelligent as your average human. They just chuckled away, dancing around each other. Their eyes were a deep blood red, staring directly into the eyes of Kaine and Astro. They sure knew how to use the intimidation factor. “They’ve got quite a bit of power. Stay on your guard, Kaine.” “Always Brodah! Heeeyaaaa!” Kaine charged forth, clashing with one of the little green monsters. “I guess it’s my turn.” Yellow surges of energy enveloped the Namekians body. Astro burst forth, hitting one of the green monsters with a barrage of elbow attacks. The pressure from his strikes blasted holes through the creature’s body, effectively killing it. “That wasn’t as tough as it was made out to be. “
The two remaining creatures readied themselves, placing their hands together. A massive amount of ki rose from the space in between their palms, ascending to an absurd amount. Astro’s eyes contorted into an expression of both trepidation and amazement. “Kiikikikikikii!” The power was absolutely insane. It had to be the biggest power level that Astro had ever felt. He glanced around to make sure that Kaine wasn’t around to take the brunt of the blast. He was nowhere to be seen. Out of the corner of his eye he could make out the third green monster. Before he could react, the clawed foot of the creature had planted itself against his cheek, completely knocking him off of his feet. The kick was powerful enough to push him into the other two monster’s line of sight. “Kiikikikikikikiiiiiiiii!” Their combined ki blast fired off like a rocket, tearing up the earth as it traveled towards the yellow Namekian with incredible speed. There was no time to dodge it, and he didn’t have enough power to deflect it. This was it. He was going to be hit with this ki blast, and his life as he knew it would end.
The blast was strong enough to make a giant crater in the earth, and even blow Astro back several meters. The funny thing was… it didn’t even hit him. Something, or someone had taken the blast head on, or completely missed him all together. He fluttered his eyelids open to see his best friend, blood staining his entire body, arms stretched to his sides, in front of his fallen body. Astro lifted himself up, gently grabbing ahold of Kaine’s shoulder. He peered around to see his friends face. His eyes were deep and lifeless, his pupils faded out to nothingness. He looked horrible. Blood dripped down his face like a waterfall.. but the weirdest thing about this was that he had a smile on his face. His best friend in the entire world had given his life in order to protect him.. and still died with a grin upon his lips. It was as if he didn’t think twice about it. “Kaine..? ….Kaine….?” A single tear fell from the swollen eyelids of the Namekian. He ran his fingers over his friends eyes, closing them. The yellow Namekian gradually lied his deceased brother's body to the ground, crossing his shattered arms across his chest. Astro rose, clenching his hands together. As much as he wanted to cry, as much as he wanted to punch anything and everything in sight, as much as he wanted to lie down and just let everything go.. he couldn’t. Being a Namekian, he had a sense of pride and care for the dead. Especially those close to him. It felt as if his entire world shattered around him. Kaine was the one who actually accepted him for being him. Of course, he didn’t look like a normal human. To others, he looked like a monster. Kaine was his friend, his brother. To have him so effortlessly killed was unacceptable.
A yellow burst of energy shattered the earth around Astro’s feet. He appeared behind the two monster’s who had killed his friend with the monstrous blast, slamming the balls of his feet into the backs of their necks, ruthlessly snapping their heads off of their shoulders. After effortlessly disposing of the two who had killed his ‘brodah’, he set his blazing gaze upon the one Kaine had been battling. It was a very light shade of blue instead of green. The power level resonating from it was substantially higher than the previous ones he had fought. Was that why Kaine was having such a hard time fighting it? Oh well. They were all the same in his mind, whether they were blue or green or red or purple, it didn’t matter. This thing played a part in killing his best friend, and he had absolutely no intention of letting it roam free to harm anyone or anything else. His signature yellow ki surged around his body, encompassing his thick, vascular yellow frame.
“Let’s go.”
Their forearms clashed, causing the earth around them to implode, quaking the rest of the rocky soil. Astro disappeared and reappeared behind the blue monster, swinging his left leg out to sweep the creature. He was surprised to find out that the creature had just as much, if not more speed than him, and had replicated his technique. Astro flexed his shoulder, allowing the clawed-blue foot to strike him. The attack had the Namekian reeling, holding his arms across his chest in order to block a barrage of swift punches from the small alien. “Kiiikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikiki!” With each punch he intercepted, an exasperated grunt sprung from between his lips. “This thing is tough..! I don’t know how much longer I can keep up with the ki output.” Exerting this much power and ki for extended periods of time took a toll on Astro’s body. He slammed his boots into the already fracture earth, pushing off with an eruption of ki. He engaged the creature with a flurry of elbows, kicks, and punches, evidently flying into the air during their minor skirmish. Astro shot his arm out like a slingshot, using his race’s elastic-like limbs to coil around the monster’s body. He flew downwards, using gravity to his advantage in order to slam the creature into the ground with a whip-like motion.
“Heeeeyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! Taurus Storm!!” Astro folded his clawed fingers inwards towards his palm, and charged the Saibaman. Bombarding the small alien with a surplus of hammer-like strikes, the yellow Namekian put all of his strength into the attack. Each hit broke one of the Saibamen’s bones, resulting in a brutal slaughter of the creature. Astro retracted his arms, levitating out of the small crater that he had bestowed upon the earth. He gazed around to see the scars in which the earth received in the previous battles. He huffed and puffed, struggling to regain his breath as he looked towards the half-destroyed forest, the origin of where these creatures actually came from. “Sienna.. I hope you’re safe. I’ll be back soon, I promise.” The Namekian cloaked his body in a shade of yellow ki, bursting himself forth into the air. Little did he know, an opponent of a much higher caliber awaited his arrival..
