Pieter had become interested in this tournament that Akio Callahan had told him. However, with the match Akio had with Pieter, the tribal hunter had come to understand that he would need to train himself greatly for this tournament. Akio had shown that he was a powerful opponent, which meant that, at this tournament, he would encounter many powerful opponents much like him! Pieter had a training regiment in mind for this. First things first, Pieter had to stretch himself out, to get his blood pumping and muscles loosened up. Once he would do this, Pieter would then need to push his body to the limit, exhausting himself to the point where he felt he could no longer do it, then keep doing the exercises to extend his limit after that, he would need stretch himself out once more, to make certain that his muscles wouldn't not up. The purpose of this type of regiment was to make sure he got in tip top shape, so he could prepare for the next few days in the week. He would do two days of rest, so this way, he could recover the energy and let his muscles relax a bit before doing this again.
With the regiment laid out in his mind, Pieter began to do his stretches. He first brought his feet to be equal with his shoulders and brought arms to his lower rib cage. He then took in a deep breath, raising his arms up in a circular motion and have them meet far above his head, and then brought them back down immediately. He did this a few times over, to make sure his body would warm up slightly. The purpose of this was to get his body familiar with how to breathe during the exercise. If he couldn't breathe, then he would pass out from air deprivation, resulting in his training being cut short.
Once he knew how to breathe calmly, he proceeded to bend down and touch his feet. He needed to do this for a good twenty seconds to make sure his back wouldn't be thrown out during his regiment. As he did this, he took in and released deep breaths, to continue the breathing training. He remembered a lesson his father and some of the elder members of his tribe: "Power does not come from the body. It comes from the breath!"
He then proceeded to shift both hands over to his right side, stretch the muscles in his left hip and left lower back. The bones cracked, which briefly interrupted his breathing. It felt as though he had thrown out his hip and back in his match with Akio. However, it had only been a matter of him not finding a proper place to sleep. He then shifted over to his left foot slowly, pawing at the ground as he did. His right side cracked as well, causing this brief interruption of breathing again! Pieter, though, resumed it immediately after, holding this position for twenty seconds like the last. He then brought his hands to the center and slowly rolled upwards.
Pieter then proceeded to do the initial breathing exercises once more. The saiyan-human looked up above, to see the sun still beating down on his tanned body. He still had plenty of time left before he had to find safe cover from the moon... It had been nearing the time when the moon would pour its altering waves on the saiyans. Pieter recalled this happening one night during a hunt, where he attacked his fellow hunters out of the blue and destroying some of the beautiful land. However, they were able to quickly subdue him with the help of Pieter's father, Pota.
The tribesman entered a lunging pose, making sure his right leg was in the back as straight as he could make it, while his left leg kneeled and at the front. He made sure his upper torso was straight, so the hamstrings in his right thigh were stretched out. Pieter recalled many times when he forgot to stretch, which resulted in pains halting his hunts for a bit! He would do this a good two minutes, before switching over to the other side and doing the same for his left side.
He then stood straight and shook his body, to feel out anything that needed stretching. However, he felt ready to go! He muttered to himself, "Alright! Lets get to it!"
