A lively little mining village had once stood here, on the side of a small mountain nestled within the foothills of the northern most reaches of the Spinach Wastes. It had only three roads, each running parallel to one another between small shops and houses that were scorched and broken. Each road was filled with debris and rubble, vehicles that had been thrown into buildings and fallen rock strewn about. Skeletal remains littered the roads as well, some still had small bits of decayed flesh hanging from their ribs with shreds of ragged clothing lying about as well. To the sides of the road, foot prints were littered about, half the size of a car. It was sunset, and a shadow had been cast over much of the village. It was a ghost town. All was still.
Outside of the shadow of the village, standing in the last beams of the sunlight before twilight, Pipa stared at the little village. He had felt a compulsion to return here, though he had destroyed it himself only one month ago. Truth be told, he had come back to this little village once before, this had been his second time here. There was something satisfying at staring back on his previous conquest. He remembered being stuck inside of the mountain, were he had been rocked by a powerful explosion and covered in a sea of dirt and rock. It had taken quite some time for his body to recover, the flesh that had been green had been singed black by the fires of the blast.
Pipa walked through the ruins, it was his favorite place to be. At his cave, he could always sense beings nearby. Whether it was small animals, or cultists seeking to get revenge for their fallen comrade, Pipa’s nerves couldn't catch a break when he was at that old cave. It was here though, that the demon could feel as close to being at peace as he could: an area devoid of any life but his own. Not even the carrion birds came here anymore, they had picked at the remains of the villagers and this was Pipa’s little dominion now. If he could, he would make everything like this. As he walked through the city with a half grin on his face, his antenna began to twitch a bit as he picked up on the faintest life form. Pipa grew angry, this land was his true sanctuary and none belonged here.
He continued walking through the ruins, trying to locate the source of the being that had interrupted his peace of mind. He clenched his fist and continued to walk forward, stepping into the crevice of one of his own massive footprints from his giant form when he destroyed the village. He stepped over a tarnished sign that read “Welcome to Bell Village” that had a bit of dried red blood on it that had likely originated from the nearby pile of bones when it was still a fleshy form to it.
The presence seemed to be faint, but it still annoyed Pipa to no end. He felt like he was being watched, and it made him agitated that he couldn't pin point this presence. Finally, Pipa couldn't take it anymore. His eyes began to glow alit with green energy, and he let it launch out of his eyes at a nearby building. The lasers of his eyes made a ripping noise, and it blew into an already crumbling two story building before it fell on the ground. As the building seemed to topple to the ground, Pipa made a grunting noise as he watched it all fall to the ground. His ears twitched, he could hear movement now from somewhere else and then a strange noise that he hadn’t heard yet in his life.
“Arf arf arf!” a small dog said as it ran towards Pipa. It was a shaggy little thing, an ankle biter with a yelping high pitched voice. Pipa growled at it as it approached. It looked like it hadn’t eaten much, he guessed that this creature must have lived here but was too stupid to go away now. The sound of its yelps caused Pipa to reach for his antenna, the sounds of screeching were of a great annoyance to him.
As the dog got closer, Pipa’s eyes began to glow again…

Hinawa didn't know why she was back in this area. A long time ago, a village stood near here - a village of people who didn't bother the world, and didn't want to be bothered by it. Most of them Zoanthrope humans, and not least of all - a single family of Kitsune folk. Her family. Of course, the area she was in right now were not the remains of the village - those had been eaten away by the elements years ago. She was simply in the general area, remembering and thinking, sitting on a lower branch of an ordinary tree. Not as a human, though - she was sitting there in the form of a golden-brown fox, looking over the countryside. Shapeshifting was a power she already had a child, and it only grew in usefulness after her ascension to a martial artist and 'hunter'. Mostly because this form doubled as a Ki Suppression, making her undetectable by the Ki Sense many martial artists on Earth developed with time.
There really wasn't a lot to this place. Lots of empty space, farmers, and more empty space. A haven for those who didn't want to get near civilization, for sure. To her, the place was simply dull and boring - exactly right for thinking and pondering. Was it the right choice, to learn from that man? He didn't kill her family, but was he any better than the guy who did? On the other hand, he seemed to understand her... Perhaps even care about her, as much as someone like him could care for a random street kid that just became his student. Maybe thinking about this was a waste of time, and she should spend her time training with him instead - or perhaps she should give up on it all. Give up on revenge, at least on revenge through him, and never return to his side. Somehow, she doubted he'd take big offense to it - he himself had said that his path was a dark one, one she should not fully follow him on.
Jumping down from the tree, Hinawa switched back to her second fake form - her human form, with blonde, short hair, blue eyes, and a light outfit of shorts and a shirt - not to mention the cloak on her shoulders, the detachable sleeves, and long boots. These weren't normal clothes, but weighted ones - heavy enough to serve as a training utensil for her purpose of getting stronger, even walking in them was more difficult, not to mention training and using Ki, since that all required bodily strength. Stretching for a bit, she just went for a bit of a walk now, over slight hills and fields, with a blue, sunny sky above her. Really, it was quite a nice day out, good for getting one's mind off of the harsh problems of reality...
Too bad, then, that a sudden spike of Ki nearby shook Hinawa out of her thoughts. What the hell was that? The energy wasn't nearly as big as Emer's power when she first felt it, but it still surpassed her own strength by far, that much was for sure. And there was such a maligning, evil force to it... It felt as if the surging Ki she could feel from her current position already tried to strangle and kill her out of sheer malice alone. Such power wasn't common - and it certainly wasn't something she could just ignore, either. Dashing off towards the direction, Hinawa did not switch over into her true form just yet - mostly to keep her Ki from revealing itself too quickly. She was not actively suppressing it right now, but also not powering up for a fight, so her comparatively small power level should not tip off the source of the evil Ki too soon. The fox girl took care not to kick up too much dust, too - it wouldn't quite be a surprise run-in if she had a giant dust-cloud behind her, but flying would give off too much Ki.
It came into sight rapidly - a destroyed town, and some bad memories started to surface for the girl. Her ears picked up on barking - and near the source of it, she saw a figure standing, clothed so that it covered the entire body, but the evil Ki was even more overwhelming here. It was as if she was running straight into the mouth of a monster, but that energy build-up spoke of a rather cruel intent... directed at a poor, little dog. Sure, dogs weren't exactly the smartest beings on the planet - not even fully sapient, like humans or Zoanthropes - but she wouldn't let someone just blast a puppy into pieces for no good reason! "Oh no you wont!" With a shout, Hinawa's feet left the ground, and she instantly powered up to her full Ki - well, her full Ki under the influence of the weights, which were really showing their effect on her strength right about now. A red, crackling aura of Ki enveloped her body, and with the red aura, her blue eyes switched color almost instantly - some of the hair on her head seemed to raise a bit, before revealing itself to be two fox ears, and the girl dashed past the figure with the incredibly evil Ki, a golden-blonde tail coming from above her behind out of her outfit now, losing maybe one or two hairs on the way. Using her speed, Hinawa grabbed the small puppy with one hand, lifting it from the ground, before twisting around in the air, while still flying at full speed - just that she was flying backwards and 'on her back', so to say, since her front was turned up towards the sky, but slightly angled to keep her view on the evil figure. Raising her free, left hand, Hinawa focused, and a blast of red Ki flew straight at the face of her enemy. She wasn't exactly the greatest with Ki attacks, but the blast would hopefully at least kick up some dust to allow her to gain some distance, as she landed on the roof of one of the ruined houses, the small dog safely in her arms - her eyes narrowed slightly now, she knew that she could not hope to win against a power as strong as this. So she saved the puppy for now - but would she be able to both keep it safe, and get out of here alive with it? "Sometimes I wonder when the world became so complicated." she sneered, cowering down slightly, her free hand touching the roof she was standing on, ready to dash in any needed direction.

Come out, come out, wherever you are... |
As Pipa was about to release his energy upon the bothersome puppy dog, he felt something moving closer to him with his ki sense. It was an insignificant power, he would have time to finish off this annoying mutt before he acknowledged the presence of whatever was approaching. He then felt a surge coming from the energy source, but he didn’t avert his gaze from the dog which was still yapping its little mouth at the shrouded demon.
The green energy within his eyes began to spark, he released it and a beam of crackling green energy came pouring from his eyes at the speed of light. As he did so, he could have sworn that he was a blur of red in his eyes. Midway through his eye beam he turned his head trying to follow the flash of light, but his head was slowed by the technique. In effect the laser cut into the ground, and then arced into the sky as he turned his head.
The energy dissipated as it moved higher into the atmosphere, and the earth around Pipa was scorched. For a moment, Pipa thought that perhaps the puppy has simply disintegrated. He then felt a stinging sensation hit him on the back of his shins, dust kicked up around Pipa and into his face: blurring his vision. He tried to see through the dust towards the direction of his attacker, but by the time the dust was cleared they were gone. Whoever the source of that red energy had been, it had saved the bothersome creature from its death… for now.
Pipa scowled as he moved his hand down to his side, drawing it slowly from the scabbard and making a feint scraping sound as it moved across the lower hilt. The onyx scimitar didn’t seem to capture the light of the sunset well, it was void of any color or reflection from the sun.
Pipa was too angry to focus his ki sense as to where the individual had gone. A thick vein pumped with blood on his forehead as he scanned the area looking for the intruder. These ruins belonged to him, and that annoying mutt was his to kill. He would punish this intruder, and he wouldn’t show the puppy the mercy of a quick death at his hands either. He always found himself annoyingly perplexed at the way other creatures acted. To what purpose did this being risk their miserable life for the wellbeing of a lesser creature?
“I know you are here… ‘Hero’. Why don’t you quit being a coward and face me, instead of hiding in the rubble?” Pipa taunted.
For now he would stand and wait, if he could goad the fool into talking it would be much easier to locate them. He listened with his ears intently, and stood very still as he searched with his eyes and his ears. |

Just what did Hinawa get herself into this time? Not only had she attacked someone far stronger than herself, but she did all that for a damn puppy of all things. Not even herself being partially animal explained that - she was a fox, not a dog! Cowering down lower on the roof she had landed upon, her fox ears were perked upwards, listening intently for whatever this terrifying enemy had to say. Something that sounded like scraping metal hit her ears, almost causing her to wince from the higher pitched sound in her animal ears, but she held the sound in just in time. The kitsune was now grinding her teeth together - the bastard wss TAUNTING her! Who did that asshole think he was? No matter his strength, he was nothing but a fart compared to her teacher, and eventually, she'd have to fight opponents far more powerful than this weirdo with his dark Ki.
Swiftly, she dropped down into one of the alleys of the destroyed mining town, between two ruined buildings. While she was fuming, she kept her Ki Sense squarely locked onto him - her sensing ability was more of an animalistic instinct, and while she herself was definitely a predator, he was a far larger, more deadly one. Setting down the puppy softly, she pet the poor animal a bit while keeping track of him - not moving just yet, good. That meant she had the advantage of the first strike, for whatever it was worth, and he was apparently not able to pinpoint her location just yet. In theory, she could try to supress her own aura now and sneak away with the puppy, but there was a chance this monster would just level the entire area in an attempt to draw her out, and if she was not actively using her Ki, such a blast could seriously injure her or even be fatal. Fighting this opponent was just as foolhardy, but she'd rather stare her fate into the face while fighting it, kicking and screaming all the way.
"You keep yourself hidden now, stupid brat. And maybe, just maybe, we'll make it out alive." whispering that into the ear of the small dog, she pulled out a small 'ration' of her own - pretty much just some dried sausage, and put it next to the puppy, who happily attacked his first meal in days. And with that, Hinawa seemingly disappeared from next to the doggy - because to a normal animal, her movement was way too fast to be followed with the eyes.
Sneaking up on the exit of the alleyway, the red-eyed girl peered around the corner - she was to the side of the man with the terrifying aura and the black sword. That blade looked... unpleasant, to say the least. First order of business, she'd have to disarm him in any way possible. Without warning, the girl punched the wall right next to her - with a crash, the wall started to crumble, and the Zoanthrope grabbed the biggest piece of it and threw it right at the opponent with a grunt. She was no hero, oh no. But it didn't always take a hero to oppose a monster - sometimes a bitter, angry and revenge-driven girl was all that was needed to fight the darkness. With the piece of wall flying towards her enemy now, Hinawa collected energy again - her Ki skyrocketed to the current maximum, with red energy orbs forming in each hand, before she fired them out as well towards her enemy. But unlike the thrown rock, which was aimed in a straight line, the energy balls were curved - the left one flying in a slight arc to the left, the right one doing the same to the right, before they arced back around, each forming a stretched half-circle while flying towards her enemy, one aiming to hit his front, the other aiming at his back.
"You talk to much, asshole."

Pipa continued to listen intently for a response from the intruder. Getting eager for combat, he brought the blade up to his mouth and pushed the veil off of his face. Under the lower veil was a mouth covered in charred black skin, and his lips seemed to be malformed and scarred. He opened his mouth revealing a set of spiky dull white teeth with a faint pinkness staining them. Coming out of his moth was an irregularly long purple tongue, and he licked the sharp end of the blade softly. Unlike most Namekian, his blood was as red as a humans was as it dripped off of his tongue and onto the blade. He closed his mouth again, letting his own blood slowly pool inside. Delicious. He wondered what this intruder would taste like?
As he was lost in thought about the upcoming blood feast, he heard the quick sound of something crashing to the ground coming from about ninety degrees of where he was currently scanning. As he turned his head and his eyes began to glow, he saw a large chunk of debris heading straight toward him. Canceling the attack, Pipa attempted to move out of the way of the debris, running forward towards the direction the attack had come from. As he navigated away from the attack he saw two beams of red light barreling towards him, seeming to arc as they did so. Thinking that they would be traveling on the same pattern, Pipa thought it would be clever to jump backward in order to get out of the way of the attacks. As he bounded back, one of the ki blasts seemed to curve in the way that he had predicted, but the other seemed to be traveling on a different trajectory that he had not been able to determine at such a quick pace. He didn’t detect it quick enough to dodge, Pipa was still not used to the way that his body felt in this mortal form and he wasn’t as speedy as someone of his power level normally would be at the moment.
The ki beam that he hadn’t dodged smacked Pipa right across the face, knocking the head covering off of his face, revealing the black and charred being that was underneath all of the drapes. He was a very ugly sight, and blood was dripping out of little cracks at the seams of his deformed mouth. This blood had been from his own self-inflicted wound, but the blow of the ki blast had hit him clear on the forehead. Some of the burnt flesh in this area seemed to have been disturbed by the attack, it elevated forward a bit like a blister. He had managed to keep his blade in hand though, and he rearing to fight now more than ever.
His eye had caught the direction the attacker had been in the city, but he hadn’t seen her because of the debris and dust of the attacks. Then she made one big mistake, she replied to his taunts. He saw her now as the dust cleared up. He began rushing towards her now, with his blade in both hands and a look of anger in his eyes. He levitated just above the ground, as if he would dive into her with the blade and try to barrel it into her gut. He was the kind of being who would twist the blade, just to make sure the wound hurt more. Not a word came from his mouth, he no longer had words to say to this weakling. He was ashamed with himself that he had allowed such a being to cause him any sort of harm.

Now, the fight was really on. Thoughts about why she was doing this disappeared into the back of her mind - in a battle, there was no room for questioning oneself. Those that did ended up trampled on the ground, dead in shallow graves, and soon forgotten. And Hinawa Hyoukai would NEVER be just another corpse on the side of the road... even when faced with a terrifying monster like this one. Even if this disturbing creature with the long tongue was the devil himself... she was going to face him, right here, and right now. And she was going to beat his face into the ground, repeatedly.
As the monster blocked the flying piece of debris, Hinawa instinctively knew that this was her only chance to remove the limit she had placed on herself earlier. With the demon reeling back to dodge, he actually went straight ahead and into her trap - and got smacked right in the head for his trouble by red energy. The blast revealed black, charred skin... like a living, burned corpse. But the girl barely noticed it, as she crossed over her arms, each hand disengaging the locking mechanisms on her detachable, weighted sleeves, before also snapping open the brooch keeping the heavy cloak up on her shoulders. Going into her typical, beast-like crouching position, her hands opened the last few locks on the weights on her legs, which gave the impression of her wearing tigh-high boots. The - comparatively - light weighted clothes slipped right off her, and were still in the process of falling down, as the attack came straight at Hinawa at an impossibly high speed - because of her need to free herself from these limiters, she would not have the time to fully dodge this attack. But truth be told... She did not PLAN to dodge this, and instead, charged forward with her own, red Ki building an aura around her, and with a battle-cry, she threw herself right into her enemy, twisting her body to the side to avoid being impaled right away.
The blade of the demonic warrior found a target, but not quite as intended. With her own charge and turning, the blade, instead of impaling her, scraped by her left side, where her midriff was exposed - the dark steel cut right through skin and flesh, and while the wound was not deep, it definitely stung. But with the attack being a lunging stab like it was, obviously left the arm of the attacker stretched out - and with the forward momentum of both of them, the fox girl was now right next to his arm, only a few centimeters away from the face of her opponent. Her gritted teeth against the pain gave a good look of her, compared to a normal human, elongated animal-like fangs, and her own eyes seemed to shine similiarly to her opponent's - just that her eyes were reflecting the light around the two fighters, instead of producing their own.
Now was her time to counter-attack. With a swift move, her left arm gripped around the arm of her demonic opponent, right at the elbow - a joint, and as such, weaker than direct bone. Her intended grip would be as fierce and hard as she could make it, to lock her enemey into this position, as she reared her head backwards - before aiming a headbutt right at the head of her enemy. And not just any place, either - she was aiming this attack right on the place where her Ki struck him before to blow away that disgusting turban and reveal the even more disgusting head underneath. The fox girl was a fierce combatant, and the small frame was deceptive towards her true strength - if she hit with this headbutt, it would HURT. Even if she didn't manage to grab her enemy with her arm, she'd still aim this attack right at his head - if he reeled back while she got his arm trapped, all the better. That just meant even more openings. And if he decided to continue fighting while she was this close to him, then the fact that she was smaller than her enemy would actually be beneficial - her reach was shorter, but his longer limbs might very well prove more difficult to coordinate at this distance.

The fox girl was fast, clever, and cunning. She had taken a bit of the blow from Pipa’s blade in order to assure that she could grab onto his arm, and the critter was now latched onto him. Before he knew it Pipa felt the sting of the little ladies head meeting the back of his skull, where she had already bruised with her red ki attack. As her head cracked into the back of the skull, Pipa’s ears began to violently ring.
Her first attacks that occurred before now had all been in ambush. She had been trying to set up a weak point on Pipa and she had been successful. This was a lesson that Pipa would take with him in the future, there was a great deal of merit in being stealthy and making the first strike. Using the terrain to her advantage, it was an admittedly smart move and it had been a force multiplier for her even now that they were within close proximity.
“Gwah!” His mouth opened up as blood seemed to squirt out of it. As he took the blow he seemed to lose grip on his blade, the blackened scimitar fell out of his hand and onto the ground, creating a small screech as it scraped on the floor. Pipa’s knees bent inwards a bit, at this particular moment in his life he looked rather silly.
Pipa’s eyes opened wide, he wasn’t going to allow this embarrassment to continue. One day, Pipa was going to be a god, and he would not allow the transgressions of some pathetic creature wound him so. Pipa seethed with anger, he could feel a feral hate for this being. He also felt something close to respect, her bravery was commendable but foolish. Perhaps if he devoured her heart he could take on some of her aspect.
With his left arm still free, Pipa would not give her an inch. He wasn’t afraid to take more blows and having her close was his preference. He grabbed for the females hair as his eyes began to glow with a vicious looking green light, he intended to hold he in place and pull her face to face with him as he let out a quick eye beam. If his grab was not successful he would simply try to jerk his body violently to shake the creature off of his arm and try to aim his eye beam at her, though with the current state of his neck he would use his torso to turn instead; an act that would decrease his ability to aim.
“DIE!” Pipa yelled as he released the eye laser (N1), whether he had a hold of the being by the hair or if he had to move elsewhere the beam of unholy green energy would rip from his eyes towards the direction of the fox woman. The beam would make a crackling sound as it escaped his eyes, like the sound of a lightning strike.

Hinawa couldn't help but feel a rush go through her as her attacks managed to connect with this strange, black-skinned monster that smelled like a burned corpse. Not only did she grab his arm successfully, but also disarmed him with the impact from her attack - a good start, and now she had a perfect place to aim further attacks. She'd drill into his head if she had to in order to win this fight! Fair? No, probably not. But she fought like a wild beast when faced with monsters like these, since a being like this one didn't deserve any mercy or honor. This black one was no better than the man who killed her family so many years ago.
But it didn't seem as if her enemy was very keen on allowing for her to keep wailing on him with everything she got, oh no. The sudden buildup of Ki within her opponent sent all of the hairs on her body upwards slightly, like a light electric current, and her instincts were clearly telling her - get out of the way, or this would HURT. A LOT. Too bad for the Kitsune that her enemy was quite fast and grabbed right into her hair, causing her to yelp slightly as he roughly grasped it to hold her in place. With a slight howl, she let go of his right arm, before violently thrusting her head back into the hand holding it first, then just pulling down. If he kept hold of her hair, which was quite likely, then he'd now have a few hairs of her still in his hand, as the girl simply ripped free by tearing out part of her own hair. A bit of blood was flowing down the back of her head now, which only heightened her senses more. Since the only way to escape the grab had been downwards, she was now slightly below the demonic warrior, and her left hand grabbed onto the hilt of the scimitar he just dropped, grabbing hold of it and dashing backwards, but she wasn't fast enough, as a blast was fired right from the eyes of the monster, with a fitting, classic and quite clear shout towards her.
"You first!" Hinawa sneered back, and flipped the sword upwards, holding it in front of her with both hands and the flat of the blade towards the attack. Even with her impressive speed, she had not been fast enough to dodge the move as well as escape from his grab, but her quick thinking in getting her hands on the onyx scimitar proved quite useful. The eye beams crashed right into the weapon, and Hinawa was flung backwards by the resulting explosion, crashing right through an entire building that then collapsed from previous damage in addition to having a petite Kitsune punted right through it. The stone walls hit her right in the back, slowing the force throwing her backwards, but also painfully bruising her with both walls. For only the fraction of a second, Hinawa blacked out.
To the demon, Hinawa's aura disappeared for a second completely, almost as if he had managed to kill her with the attack. Then, the dust around the collapsed building got blown to the sides by a rising wave of Ki that disappeared almost instantly again - like a heartbeat of energy. Following it, a second beat... Then, a rapid onslaught of rising and falling aura, finally resulting in a HUGE sudden wave clearing all the dust away, just as something cloaked in red energy and with a big bone to pick dashed right at the demon, brandishing the monster's own sword against him. There was an interesting fact about humans, one that other races sometimes underestimated or didn't even know that it existed. Those trained in Ki can, for a limited time, access power far beyond their body's limits, achieving a power used when in a struggle for life or death - the Intense Struggle, as martial artists called it. But Hinawa's was even a bit different than that, thanks to being one of the many Zoanthrope types of humans found on Earth. The 'Animalistic Surge' replaced reasoning with bestial instinct and power, causing her to become a wild animal disregarding everything but the destruction of her enemy.
Hinawa within the red energy was positively frightening now. Her teeth showing with a constant growl, the elongated fangs clearly showing, the blade in her hand crackling with energy as well. Unlike the demon, she was holding the weapon in her left hand - her dominant one. Despite the sudden increase in power, she certainly looked a bit worse for wear - bleeding scratches and bruises on her arms and legs from the explosion, and her back didn't look especially good - her clothing had only gotten some minor cuts so far, but that might also be because her clothes were not exactly concealing, what with her wearing a midriff-showing outfit of shorts and shirt without the weights. She didn't even wear shoes right now. Dashing right at her enemy, the girl now raised up the blade - before throwing it ahead of herself with a mighty swing. The black blade, spinning so fast that it was difficult to tell blade from hilt, was flung towards the demon, slightly curving in the air - if he didn't move, then the spinning sword would cut right into his mid-section from the side. Hinawa, who was not stopping her charge, suddenly jumped off of the air right before Pipa, twisted her body around, opened her mouth slightly... And with a swift bite, aimed right at the neck of the demon, attempted to rip open his throat or jugular while dashing past him in the move. When not overtaken by instinct, she probably wouldn't use her sharp teeth like this - but the fangs of a fox-girl were still dangerous when infused with this much Ki. If he didn't move out of the way or block this in some way, then he was in for some serious pain... But how long could Hinawa keep this up before her muscles simply stopped working? After all, a human body was not meant to support this level of output, not while her Ki was still too weak to properly regulate her power. But she did not think about that - in fact, it was hard to tell if she was thinking about anything at all. The only thing on her mind was the fight.

Something about squeezing some of the fox girls’ hair between his palms was extremely satisfying to Pipa. Ruining beauty could become a new hobby of his in the future. He hadn’t completely perceived that she hadn’t taken a direct hit, using his own blade in order to deflect most of the damage caused by his eye laser attack. His sense told him that the girl was either dead or close to it. He then felt a flicker of energy.
“Just die already, I don’t want to cook you too much. I like my meat raw,” Pipa said with a grin, he was sure that she was dealt with. Then his expression changed as he felt an enormous rise in power level. Before he could even see the zoanthrope he saw the flash of his own darkened blade sipping towards him from the dust.
As the fox girl threw Pipa’s own blade violently towards him, the demon dove to the right to dodge it. As his foot made contact with the ground, Pipa tried to comprehend how the little things power level had grown so quickly. Before he could find a balance again, she was upon him. The only thing Pipa could do was roll his head forward in order to protect the most vulnerable parts of his neck as she bit into his burnt black flesh. His body rippled with pain as he bit into the right side of his shoulder, just shy of the softest part of his neck. Pipa let out a grunt of disapproval and pain as she attacked.
Not to be “out demoned”, Pipa attempted to lunge his own head forward towards the girl and capture her in a tightened lock with both his mouth and his arms. He opened his own mouth and attempted to dig it uncaringly into face towards her check and right eye. He didn’t want to let her slip past and regroup, he wanted to draw her into his grasp.
In an attempt to create a feign, if the girl didn’t avoid his grasp then he would purposely fall towards the ground to give her the advantage. All that mattered was keeping her at a close range, it would be a close gambit but Pipa still had a few tricks up his sleeve. Seeing the anger in the females eyes, Pipa’s own rage seemed to subside a bit, he was curious about if that was the way others saw him.

As Hinawa's teeth connected with the charred, black flesh, and she managed to wound the demon, a terrible, disgusting taste filled her mouth, like a mixture of biting into the most bitter fruit and then trying to wash the taste down with bleach. The 'plan' - if you could call instinctive drive to fight a plan - did not work out quite as the fox girl had intended, as the demon lunged towards her in his own bite and grapple attempt. Her deep red eyes with the slit pupils stared right into his, showing no fear at all as he loomed closer - there was only anger, hatred, and the wish to kill. In many ways, right now, Hinawa was as much of a demon as Pipa - she cared nothing for how much pain she'd cause. Even the reason for this fight in the first place - the small puppy - was wiped from her mind.
Hinawa was in too much motion to effectively dodge the attack aimed at her, at least not while her mind was clouded over with instinct and drive to kill. As his arms locked around her frame and he moved in closer to bite, Hinawa's head veered back with a low growl, which turned into a higher pitched hissing sound as his disgusting teeth dug right into her cheek - she only barely avoided getting her eye gouged out by his teeth, but he definitely managed to bite right into her, as the warm kitsune blood flowed down onto his face and into his mouth. Seeing as he was used to eating humans, he'd probably find the taste to be almost identical.
But while the bite caused her a great deal of pain, Hinawa was not done for just yet. Her muscles were all already starting to ache and pain her, as the massive burst of Ki through them caused damage to them. Since she was unable to fully move her arms while in his lock, Hinawa only managed to angle her lower arms upwards, the palms turned towards Pipa, pressed right against him if he didn't try to dodge - and a red, glowing light focused right around them. The howl from the back of Hinawa's throat changed pitch again to be even higher, almost sounding like a screech, as she released a point-blank blast of her red Ki right at Pipa. If he didn't move after grabbing her, his mid-section and chest would both be right in the path of the blast, since she was so much shorter than him and he had grabbed her in a way that allowed him to bite her face. Even more than just firing the red energy from her hands in a wild blast that could potentially even harm herself, her head also jerked forward again with as much strength as she could muster - while his teeth were quite the grisly and dangerous weapon, she had proven earlier that her headbutts were also not to be underestimated, and she was aiming another one straight for Pipa's face.
Getting close and personal seemed to be the preference for both fighters in this battle, and it grew more ferocious by the second, as well as more brutal - however, how much more stamina remained within Hinawa, who was throwing every last ounce of strength into every single attack, lacking the self-control to truly hold back anything at this point?
