Twilight fell over Fukurou Forest, the dying rays of a setting sun coming on down through the trees and lending everything a hazy orange glow. The sunlight reflected softly off the surface of the lake, and Raisu Hanamura's dark Saiyan eyes stared on as he sat down by it, legs crossed. It looked almost. . . soft, in a way, or idyllic like the dreamy visage of a painting crafted with easy-on-the-eyes oil paint. Birds sang their evening songs, a small chorus ringing out into the clearing Raisu had found himself in- one of the clearings that held one of the myriad lakes within Fukurou Forest. The only thing that disturbed the water itself was the fishing line and lure that Raisu had cast out into the water, hoping for the nibble of a fish.
Raisu sat idly by said lake, staring out unto the water, fishing pole in hand as he waited ineffectually for a fish to come by and grab his hook. But it never came, and Raisu was left sitting with only his own thoughts for company. How. . . boring, this was. Not just the act of this idle fishing, but the act of living, he thought. How he had squandered his time, the hybrid thought. At first he had thought he might make a difference in the Galactic Patrol, but that thought had died when that Beryl Roarke had disappeared. And now? The hybrid was left fishing on Earth when other people across the universe were locked in matters of life and death, the entire universe reacting and trembling with their blows.
Raisu could feel the forces that be look down on him with disapproval. He collapsed in on himself, as if to avoid their gaze.
So, Raisu fished as he had once seen a friend do. The lakes of Fukurou were, apparently, rife with life.
[Thread PL: 103,667] [UT2] Liquid Ki - Calmed Waters Active! Ki set to 10000] Once again Defrosch had returned to his routine after the events on planet Vegeta-- be that working at one of his many jobs, tracking down magical artifacts, training, or making sure Ember and Etoru didn't do something woefully silly without the guidance of either of their parents.
Despite all of this, Defrosch had nothing short of impeccable time management skills, so what proper free time he had was put to good use. Even when he got a tiiiiny bit carried away by putting extra time into his other commitments, he was generally reminded by his co-workers, rivals or even the troublesome dorky duo he was acting as guardian for to just chill out sometimes.
Now, in his mind what genuinely calming activity was it that always brought him into a state of serenity that only true meditative training could outmatch? Fishing, of course!
So, luckily for Raisu, the same friend he was thinking of, wasn't actually all that far away. Under the mesmerizing glimmer of the setting sun and the twinkles of the encroaching night sky heralded by the moon, Defrosch leisurely made his way through Fukurou Forest. His strides did not disturb the local wildlife... In fact due his welcoming, calm and positive ki, some birds landed on his shoulders without a single shred of fear in their tiny hearts. It was as if Defrosch had reached an inner peace so infectious that the very world around him accepted this odd gift and in return accepted his presence with open arms.
However, in true Defrosch fashion, he didn't read too much into this phenomenon, at least not now. He wasn't here for existential thinking, he was here to relax.
Emerging from the thicker trees into the clearing as naturally as the breeze, he very easily noted the presence of Raisu Hanamura who was sitting down by one of many lakes within this beautiful realm. A few cursory glances were made to check the scene as Defrosch wandered closer. Everything matched up. They were exactly where he thought they were. 'Huh. Weird. This is the exact same place... I recognize that mossy rock.'
"Hello!" With a sly grin hidden under his mouth-guard, Defrosch properly approached Raisu now. "Fishing, eh? Are they biting today?" At which point he found himself greeting Raisu in exactly the same manner that the hybrid spoke to the Arcosian when they first met.
