Training, training, training...
Frankly, it was all quite repetitive. The constant pressure, the constant desire to improve herself. She was already more powerful than any known Arcosian, but even that was not enough. Zucceta, Habana, Shemha, Xylo... they were the enemies of justice, and therefore they were the enemies of Wyntre. But, with powers like theirs... it was doubtful anything coming as a result of their hypothetical total victory would even vaguely resemble justice. So she pushed herself. She trained. She had the Royal Form, and she's been trying to master it, but... She's been failing. Failing to learn, failing to develop. It was almost every day that she was tempted to just give up or to give it a go and return to Arcose now even if she probably wouldn't survive the experience.
She was outside of her ship. Since she almost always 'parked' the Valiance in the Yunzabit Highlands, this meant that she was in the snow.
And, so, there she was, lying out in the snow and looking at the stars. She pointed at them... she wondered how many of them she had been to. She wondered how many of them she could destroy. She wondered how little difference it would make.
... This was stupid. She kept on training, but she needed something, someone, to fight. Or, barring that, interact with. Kiwano was a sycophant, Kocha was on Scobia and Zexama... well, frankly, there wasn't a single interaction that Wyntre has had with Zexama that could have been good for Wyntre's sanity.

Thread PL: 97 603 Heavy Weights equipped! Active PL: 24 401 'Why... did I... choose to... train here...?' Gira mentally chastised herself for the poor decision as she completed her five hundredth lap around the highlands without using ki. That might not have been too bad, but she still had her blue weighted Turtle School gi. Once she got a break, the hybrid bent over and breathed heavily, each breath creating a plume of white steam. Then, she felt something. "Wait... is that...?" It was unmistakable. What she felt was an energy signature. A fairly powerful one too. "Jeez, I thought I was the only one insane enough to come out here." Gira said to herself. The hybrid took a deep breath, allowing herself to use her ki again. Turns out, it was useful for more than just combat or flying. When focused internally, it served well to chase away the cold. It was still rather chilly, but Gira felt like she was no longer going to freeze to death. Once she warmed herself, the teen looked over towards where she felt the energy. 'It's probably nothing, but...' She hovered just above the ground, the slight breeze from her releasing her ki kicking up a small amount of powdery snow. '...if someone needs help, it's the Watcher's duty to save them. Whether they're in my city or not.' Gira smiled and nodded in determination, rocketing through the air with all due haste towards where she felt the energy. She noticed the ship before she noticed who it belonged to, but landed near where she felt the energy signature to find someone lying in the snow. Gira raised an eyebrow and looked over the person. They seemed like an Arcosian, but different than the ones she encountered thus far. Figured they would be the only ones who weren't bothered by the cold enough to be out here... lying in the snow, no less. Gira looked at Wyntre curiously for a moment. She seemed more... "evolved" than other of the race that she met. Figuring that continuing to stare was awkward and a little rude, Gira spoke up. "Uh... kinda cold there?" The hybrid asked with a smile.

The Yunzabit Highlands weren't traversed too often. Wyntre had found, with the few encounters that she had there, that the only people who actually went there were fighters. The reasoning was sound; if one can survive adverse conditions, the energy that the body had gotten used to having to use can be used beneficially in situations outside of such conditions. Or, in other words, it helped with training.
It was true that the only people she encountered up here were fighters, but not all of them were here to train. Kocha and the Great Saiya-Man Neo had both come here to talk to Wyntre/investigate her mysterious Power Level and she had previously sparred with a nice Arcosian lad here who was here not for training purposes but because its 'debilitating' conditions reminded him of home. Of Arcose.
Arcose wasn't particularly unwelcoming, with its relatively recent artificially habitable zones. However, outside of those was the Arcosian tundra... a nigh-anoxic and unforgivingly dry wasteland of tectonically active ice fields. Its tough conditions on the early Arcosian species shaped them into what they would later become, but it did much the same for the planet's other natural predators as well. Compared to that, the Yunzabit Highlands were, frankly, not much. But, even still, it was the closest thing the dustball had to home.
Oh? A presence? This wasn't particularly odd in itself. The surprise was mostly because Wyntre had hoped to be left alone and because her hopes had begun to influence her expectations. As she flew closer, the Arcosian took the opportunity to analyze her closely.
"Cold?" She did not say it with disdain as if mocking the girl. No, she decided to spare the girl an explanation of Arcosian biology, but she did want to be informative in case she didn't know about the Arcosians and their natural habitat. "I am an Arcosian, dear. We don't get 'cold'." Well, there was absolute zero, but atoms stopped doing things at that point so it didn't really count.
...
"You, on the other hand, do not appear to be handling the cold very well at all." It was not a question, but an observation. "Although, perhaps that's the point. What is your name?"

Gira blinked at the mention that Arcosians never got cold. Ever. That was an interesting tidbit of information. She always just assumed they had some kind of crazy cold resistance. Then again, she wasn't the daughter of the alien BIOLOGY expert. She was the daughter of the alien culture expert. At the mention that she didn't appear to be handling the cold, Gira laughed nervously. "Yeah, I guess that's one way of putting it. I'm doing better than I was a few minutes ago. You don't really need advice like this, I guess, but internally focusing your ki can help raise your body temperature. Gotta be careful though. You don't wanna overdo it. You'll literally cook from the inside out if you raise it too high." As Gira relaxed, her tail unfurled from her waist to dangle lazily behind her.
Then Wyntre asked her name. "I'm Gira. Nice to meet you!" Gira flashed the Arcosian a grin. Once introductions were exchanged, Gira commented on what she said earlier. "But yeah, I guess you could say that. I'm out here to train. I figured if I could withstand such cold temperatures without using my ki to warm myself, I could strengthen my body for further training. My sensei told me it's important to have a strong base. A house is only as good as its foundation." She rubbed her sore muscles. "Gotta get strong to protect what's important, y'know? Like my friends and family." Gira stopped massaging her muscles and smiled at Wyntre again. "What about you? Got anything you want to protect?"
While Gira spoke to Wyntre, she had no clue of the Arcosian's true power. She had no idea that this alien before her was one of the strongest beings she had ever met. That the power she felt now was simply the very tip of the proverbial iceberg. Good thing, too. Because if Gira's senses picked up on the true power of the former Empress, she'd want a fight for sure. That was her fault; she'd challenge practically anyone, even knowing the result ahead of time. She knew that the best way to taste someone's power was to fight them. It gave her a rush like nothing else. The Saiyan cells, most likely.

Other than the artificially habitable zones, Arcose didn't have much of an atmosphere. It had so little atmosphere, in fact, that it was effectively space. It was because of this that the early Arcosians had evolved to the point where breathing was merely a recommendation. Indeed, similarly, the vacuum of space is very cold. By being naturally able to survive in space also meant that they could survive its cold.
"Yes, certainly, you can use your ki to heat up your body. The process is much like how many types of artificial illumination work: you send energy through a conductor but have it resist so that some of the energy is converted into light and/or heat. Your body works in a similar manner: while in many cases the energy conversion is wanted for the purposes of heating up, one can easily gauge how efficient the relationship between their ki pool and their energy efficiency is by attempting to use all of one's ki internally at maximum efficiency and timing how long it takes to use all of one's ki." There were more efficient ways of measuring both variables, but the only access Earthlings would have had to them would have been through trading with more advanced empires.
"Gira, then. A pleasure." If Gira came out here to train like she claimed she had (and Wyntre had no reason to doubt her), she certainly came out for the right reasons. "Indeed, you can only be as powerful as your body will let you be. Your sensei has taught you well." Wyntre looked at a particular spot in the sky. It was way too far away to be visible, but she knew it was there: Arcose. Home. She stared at that spot for a few seconds more, engrossed in remembrance. "What I want to protect, you ask? Well, I've run out of family," some of which she was responsible for, "and my remaining friends are either running Earth's government, off training on another planet or doing something maddeningly candy related. I've got something bigger to protect. Something that even myself, with a power that could destroy stars, am not currently powerful enough to destroy."
She pointed at the spot in the sky where Arcose resided, to let Gira know where it was. "My name is Wyntre Cold. I used to be the Empress of the Arcosian Empire. I am the most powerful Arcosian alive and perhaps the most powerful Arcosian to have ever lived. I died protecting Arcose, at the hands of the Saiyan queen, Zucceta. I am prepared to die again if need be. To answer your question... yes, there is something that I wish to protect. It isn't just Arcose... it's the entire Galaxy." And, of course, the best way to protect the Galaxy was to have it be controlled by the Arcosian Empire, as opposed to genocidal Namekians or murder-oriented Saiyans. Or, at least she thought so.

Gira stared blankly at Wyntre as she explained in more complex terms than the hybrid could about how warming one's body with the use of ki worked. Gira wasn't dumb, but she wasn't really a genius by any stretch. "Wow, you're really smart." The hybrid said with more than a hint of admiration in her voice. At the mention that Articho taught her well, she grinned proudly. Indeed, she learned a lot from the Turtle Hermit in the brief time they had known each other. As Wyntre turned her gaze towards the sky, Gira followed it. She wasn't sure what the Arcosian was looking at, but it seemed to tug at her heartstrings somewhat. As the former Empress explained that she had no family and all of her friends were busy with other things, Gira felt a little sorry for her.
She couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose her mom and for her friends to be too busy to spend time with her. It seemed like it would make life rather lonely. But Wyntre thought bigger, it seemed. She pointed to where she was looking in the sky before and spoke of her home. Gira followed the gesture, looking at a star far off in the distance. The rest of what Wyntre said almost didn't matter once she mentioned who she was. Gira registered her wish to protect the galaxy and thought her goal noble, but she was far more interested in what she said earlier.
'She was... the Arcosian Empress?'
The hybrid's fist clenched subconsciously as she felt the Saiyan cells in her body begin to hunger for battle.
'The most... powerful?'
Gira looked at her, reaching out and feeling her energy again. It was... much lower than hers at full strength. Arcosians could transform though. Perhaps the power she felt now could grow exponentially stronger? A smile crossed the young hybrid's lips, but it was different than before. This smile was one of excitement and anticipation. "Wyntre... I can't tell you how great it is to meet the most powerful Arcosian to ever live." The nervous energy practically radiated off of the half-Saiyan as she spoke, her tail swaying to and fro and occasionally twitching with excitement. "I know we just met, but... if you really are as powerful as you say..."
Gira smirked and took one small hop backwards to put about twenty feet of space between them. "...then I can't resist the urge to challenge you to a fight." With a smile still on her face, the teen shifted into her battle stance by first lowering her center of gravity and spreading her feet apart, one in front of the other. She next put her right fist even with her forward knee, the other one she moved backwards so that they were running parallel with each other. "What do you say, Wyntre Cold? Feel like showing off your power?" Battle seemed to do something strange to the hybrid. Simply the anticipation of a real fight was enough to make her demeanor change.

"Thank you. I pride myself on my intellect." It was true. Every nook and cranny of Arcosian law, every aspect of the various studies of ki, the various ancient Arcosian mythologies and belief systems... she had an encyclopedia-like knowledge of all of it. However, even though she had mastered various Arcosian martial arts (and, yes, there were Arcosian martial arts that involved things other than just sneering and shooting lasers, although they were often quite important aspects), she had come to the conclusion that most of it didn't really help in a fight. "Do you know how I can tell where Arcose is in the night sky? It isn't because my scouter is telling me, and it doesn't have much to do with my intelligence. I just remember where it is in comparison with the constellations from Earth's perspective." It was quite useful. It would be less useful, though, for example, if every star in the constellation in question happened to go supernova. Wyntre didn't know anyone who hated her so much that they'd destroy those stars just to ruin her stargazing, however. Not anyone who'd know to do so, at least.
Oh? What was she saying? Wyntre didn't need to hear what she said next, as she knew exactly what she wanted. Wyntre saw Gira's tail— almost certainly Saiyan— swirling and swaying in anticipation. No, bar that, downright excitement. From that, Wyntre knew that the girl who stood before her was at least part Saiyan. And, from that, paired with literally everything about Gira's body language, she knew something else: she desired a fight. Oh, how foolish I am, Wyntre lamented, to speak of my power in front of a Saiyan.
Gira took a large hop that put about six meters between them, because of course she did. It was a good distance; not so far away as to deprive from the hypothetical ensuing fight, not so close as to deprive one of one's personal space immediately. Wyntre liked having personal space... she developed whole techniques based off of defeating enemies without sacrificing it. "A fight, you say?" Wyntre rhetoricized in a tone that was somehow both unamused and amused at the same time. But, then again, she was still lying in the snow, with her eyes seemingly stuck on the presumed location of Arcose's star. But, in a flash, her eyes flashed over to Gira and immediately began to analyze her stance. "In your case, I'd advise against it. But, then again, your tail tells me that you wouldn't much care for this advice anyway.... so be it."
In a flash, Wyntre was upright and flying, the snow which had previously been all about her being in no way displaced. "I agree to your conditions, then." There weren't any conditions beyond 'let's fight', but still. "Let it be known that I am only using 1% of my power." And that wasn't even including the Royal Form. "Come on, then. You wanted to fight me. Fight me."

Gira awaited the former Empress's response eagerly, and to her elation, she accepted the hybrid's challenge. Indeed, Wyntre could be a veritable goddess of infinite power and Gira would still challenge her and be happy for the opportunity. Wyntre knew this, it appeared, as she briefly advised against having the battle before acknowledging that Gira likely wouldn't take the advice. She was correct in this assumption. Nothing but an outright refusal to fight would dissuade her now. In an instant, the Arcosian had made herself upright, ready for battle. 'Wow, she's fast.' She thought, an excited grin on her face. 'This is gonna be so much fun.'
Then came the announcement that her opponent was currently only using one percent of her power. This came as a surprise to the hybrid. 'Energy suppression... of course. I should have known. But if this is only one percent of her power...' Gira estimated in her head how powerful Wyntre might be if she deigned to fight seriously. 'I can't win. Not by brute strength, at least. No, I need to be cunning. I slip up once, it's all over.' Gira smirked. "Heh. You're really interesting. Let's have a fun fight, okay?" The hybrid decided that she wouldn't fight seriously either. At least not yet. The first stage of their battle, Gira would gather information and plan her next move.
'I'm weaker with my training gear on... as far as she knows, this is my full strength. I can use that to my advantage.' Then came a challenge to Gira from Wyntre. The Arcosian had the girl at "fight me." At such a direct challenge, Gira couldn't hold it in any longer. "Okay! Here I come!" With that, their battle began. Gira raised her power to its weighted maximum, a violet aura erupting around her body. The gale her power created kicked up a rather large flurry of snow. The frozen crystals swirled around the hybrid, dancing around her form.
'She's decently stronger than me right now, even at one percent of her power. I've gotta be careful. All the information in the world won't help me if I lose within seconds.' In an instant, Gira pushed herself off the ground, using her ki to rocket towards Wyntre. The hybrid drew back her fist once she approached punching range, but vanished just as she got close enough to deliver. In the same second, she appeared at Wyntre's left flank, spinning her body and throwing a heavy kick towards her neck.

"Of course, a fun fight. Frankly, though, from my perspective, this is going to be more 'fun' than 'fight'."
By using only 1% of her total power then, sure, it was pretty even. Indeed, Gira was considerably more than half as powerful as Wyntre was, and defeating opponents with twice one's strength was barely unheard of. With the right techniques and the right mindset, against certain vacuous foes, one could almost it a given. It was how Wyntre had defeated one of her brothers, back when she wasn't nearly as powerful as she was later. Indeed, she didn't even directly defeat him; she merely tricked him into a particularly dangerous obstacle. With nothing but snow and trees around them, however, Gira would have to think of something else if she wanted to defeat the Arcosian. She'd need something up her sleeve.
Wyntre had many things, figuratively, up her sleeve. Of course, she wouldn't want to use most of them— if she wanted to win that badly, she'd simply stop suppressing her power— but, perhaps, for the sake of showing off, she might use a few. "I admire your aura. It has a nice color." And, indeed, Wyntre had a similar one (albeit with distinct differences), as she was soon to demonstrate...
Much like her previous movements, the Arcosian's aura did not bother the snow. Rather, the trees went on with their days and the wind continued blowing as if she were never there at all. This sort of thing was important to Wyntre. To her, auras, flashing colors, unnecessary displacements on the surrounding environment... they were all leakages of ki, the light and heat of the inefficient light bulb. She did have a lot to say on the subject— for example, the form she was in was available so freely because she had mastered an otherwise volatile transformation (just as she hoped to do with the Royal Form)— but that'd have to wait. For now, she'd have to get her message across with her aura: it was purple, it was thin and perhaps the most noteworthy thing about it was that it was smooth. Gentle, even. Make no mistake, Wyntre hadn't perfected her efficiency: this would have been a lot harder if she wasn't, say, using 1% of her power.
Perhaps Gira wouldn't notice the way her aura flowed like water, as she was preoccupied with the beginnings of her offense. No matter; they were both ready for combat.
Ah. Tricky.
As soon as Gira disappeared, Wyntre knew what to expect.
Gira's kick, unopposed, went in for the kill... ... Until, centimeters from Wyntre's neck, it would have mysteriously lost all momentum.
This was one of the aforementioned techniques Wyntre developed for the purposes of defeating opponents without having to touch people nearly so much.
"It's all about mind over matter," Wyntre had time to say, "I call it, 'Tulpa Touch'."
Wyntre's right hand was in the air, having quite a struggle pushing back the kick. "Think of it like this... I can displace the force applied by my limbs to places where they wouldn't usually be. I could punch you from a distance not normal. I might be able to reach your tail from here. I could even, as you see before you now, block an attack where the attack was not sent. And, if you thought that that's too much to bear..."
The Arcosian would try to gain some distance. "The thing is, while suppressing one's Power Level is easy enough, suppressing one's mind is both difficult and inadvisable. You might want to watch out, Gira... it might just spare you some pain." With a few motions of the hand (more for theatrics than anything practical), the snow itself began to rumble. Wyntre telekinetically sent quite a lot of snow directly to Gira. It wouldn't hurt much, but the cold might have had a staggering effect and it would give have given the Lady some time.
Time for what, one asks? With a single motion, from its scabbard, Wyntre retrieved her sword, the Arcosia. It never hurt to be armed.

Gira blinked several times in shock as her kick lost its momentum immediately. Almost as if it was blocked. But the Arcosian did not put her guard up or anything like that. 'H-How!?' Then came an explanation. Gira had not seen a technique even close to that before. Never even heard of it. However, its effectiveness couldn't be denied. At the mention she could reach Gira's tail if she wished, the hybrid got another interesting piece of information. 'She doesn't know that I trained my tail weakness out. Of course not, why would she?' Gira filed that away in her memory as she began to formulate a plan.
Gira let out a surprised shout as Wyntre used her telekinetic abilities to kick some snow into her face. It was cold and stung slightly, blocking her vision long enough for her opponent to put some distance between the two. Gira rubbed the snow from her eyes and opened them, noticing that Wyntre had decided to use her sword. 'Jeez, I better avoid that.' Still, the techniques Wyntre was showing off served to give the hybrid some good information. 'Okay. I got it.' She had a plan now. 'Take my weights off, bait her into grabbing my tail, act all paralyzed and junk, then hit her at full strength.' Gira smiled at Wyntre once she was sure of her plan.
"That's an amazing technique, Wyntre! You just keeping getting more and more interesting. It's getting me even more excited." Gira paused briefly, patting the Turtle School emblem on her right breast. "Now, i'm gonna get serious." The Turtle student took off the upper layer of her gi, then her boots and wristbands, the weighted portion. The hybrid folded the top layer up neatly before placing it on the ground in a relatively clean spot. Thankfully, she kicked up most of the snow in the area where she placed it, so she didn't have to worry about getting it all over her gi.
She set her wristbands on top and the boots in front of the neat pile, turning back to Wyntre. She kept her power level where it was at her weighted maximum with her energy suppression, however. Hopefully, Wyntre wouldn't know her gear was weighted. Even if she did, though, Gira thought her plan might still work. She still wouldn't know to what degree she was holding back., so the hybrid still had that going for her. Now that she lost a layer of clothing, however, she felt the chill bite her even deeper. "Alright, round two!" With an excited grin on her face, the hybrid lunged at her opponent once more.
It was a frontal assault this time. She aimed a punch at Wyntre's face. Whether she hit or not, Gira purposefully overshot her punch, leaving the furry, brown appendage at her back completely open. It was her hope that Wyntre couldn't resist taking advantage of a Saiyan's weak point.

It had worked, for the most part. The snow served the role in which it was meant to serve: it was a distraction, and nothing more. With the freshly-retrieved Arcosia in her hands, she felt as if nothing could stop her. Or, rather, perhaps she might have if not for the fact that she was still using only 1% of her power.
Gira had a few facial changes over the next few seconds, as she recovered. What was that? Perhaps shock, but it was a bit too late for that. No, perhaps a realization. She could see what resulted from whatever it was: confidence. Wyntre didn't know what the hybrid was planning, but she had the slightest suspicion that she might find out soon after.
… What is she doing? She was putting off a layer of clothes. They didn't look particularly heavy (but, then again, not much looked heavy to Wyntre) but at least they looked big which might have implied that they were weights if not for the fact that, as Wyntre's scouter verified, there was no increase in power. So, Wyntre came to the conclusion that one of two things have happened: either she was suppressing her Power Level so as to catch Wyntre by surprise or, the more likely option out of the two, she went absolutely crackers. "Are you OK? Putting off clothes is the opposite of what you should be trying to do." Well, to each their own. If she was crazy enough to come up here in the first place, who's to say she wasn't crazy enough to do so lightly-dressed?
But, regardless of Gira's sanity (or lack thereof), she attacked again anyway. And, this time, she seemed to be going more directly. Wyntre knew that Gira knew about the Tulpa Touch— she did explain it, after all— and Wyntre knew that Gira wouldn't be so confident if she didn't have something up her sleeve. Did she find some way to counteract the Tulpa Touch? Perhaps.
Wyntre did not need to use said technique, however, nor did she. Gira did not disappear, appear or otherwise subvert in any way the expectations of what an attack would look like; this, in itself, subverted Wyntre's expectations. Perhaps it had something to do with the infamous Saiyan pride, but Wyntre had legitimately expected more of the attack.
She did use a technique, however. It was an old and powerful technique passed down from father to son to other son because the first one got lazy to dog to roommate to spouse to son for untold millennia. They called it, 'moving slightly to the left'. With this unforeseeable mastery over moving a bit, Wyntre was able to adequately dodge the attack. As Gira flew on by, as if in slow motion, she saw an opportunity.
Gira's tail. Right there, it was right there! Free for the taking… how could she say 'no' to such an opportunity? How could she refuse?
"Arrogant little Saiyan, you've left yourself open…"
Making a grabbing motion with her hand and with the (semi-literal) magic of Tulpa Touch, she firmly yet remotely attempted to 'grasp' the tail. Using this hypothetical 'contact' to cancel any and all forward momentum, she'd go on to attempt to capitalize on the opportunity with a powerful hit to the back that's send her to the snow below with her unarmed hand. She might not get that far, though… Base: 312,822PL Mastered True: 3,753,864PL 1% Mastered True (in-use): 37,539PL

Gira hoped beyond hope Wyntre would fall into her trap, and to her surprise, she did. Her punch missed, just as intended. It might have been incredibly embarrassing if it wasn't part of her plan. As she felt a grip tighten around her tail, she made her move. "G-Gah! Damn!" The half-Saiyan falsely cried out in pain and stiffened up briefly, letting herself fall towards the ground, faking paralysis. As Wyntre's strike came right towards her, the pained expression plastered on the hybrid's face faded, a smirk replacing it.
'Now!'
Gira spoke only two words prior to her executing her plan. "Who's open?" At that triumphant statement, the hybrid's violet aura erupted in an even greater size than before, her power rising to its absolute maximum as she released her energy suppression. Right before Wyntre's strike made contact, Gira twisted her body out of the way, just barely dodging the counterattack. Gira caught herself on her palms and then lashed out with both of her feet, aiming to kick Wyntre right in the face. The kick was only the first part of her ambush, though. More meant to force her opponent to let go of her tail so that she could move more freely. Whether this would work as planned or not, Gira would roll with it, leaping into the air by pushing herself off the ground with her palms if able. Then, whether in midair or at point blank range, the hybrid cupped her hands at her side. "Gotcha now! KAME-HAME-HAAAAA!!!"
After she quickly cried out the attack's name, she thrust her palms outwards towards her target, a beam of bluish-white ki bursting forth and making a beeline for the half-Saiyan's opponent, swollen with every last ounce of power Gira could muster in those brief seconds. This was her strongest attack, the pinnacle of her training thus far. Once the attack resolved, the Turtle student stood where she was, panting heavily from the exertion, her palms still outward in her firing stance. Her smirk grew slightly as she waited for the dust to settle. Wyntre wasn't down, the hybrid guessed. Even if her attack hit home. But it wouldn't be from Gira's lack of trying. "Don't... underestimate me." She said breathlessly.

Victory. It wasn't as sweet as advertised.
Gira fell to the snow below, seemingly paralyzed and in pain. Perhaps, if Wyntre had had enough, that would have been the end of the fight (if not for the whole ploy Gira had going on). But, no, it didn't feel like a proper ending. Besides, this wasn't a proper fight, this was a spar. Wyntre had half the mind to go down there and help Gira up personally, as good sportsmanship dictated.
Unfortunately, she never got the chance.
"What's that supposed to mean? You were wide open, of course it was you who was—" Oh, hang on... "Oh, bother."
She had pieced it all together in that smallest of moments. Gira putting a layer of clothing off near the top of Yunzabit Highlands; it wasn't because she was as insane as something that's really quite insane, but rather because they were weighted articles of clothing (although that doesn't necessarily imply that Gira wasn't insane for doing so anyway). Her subsequent lack of a change in power, then unnotable, was now the centerpiece of the deduction. The hybrid could change her Power Level output, of course she could! Why ever did Wyntre assume otherwise? She was taught to set her Power Level, then. Speaking of techniques that Wyntre had assumed that Gira simply wouldn't have, the ability to withstand pressure to the tail.
It reminded her of something. She wasn't sure why, but she, at some level, knew that she had seen this girl from somewhere before. Gira's ki doubled and then doubled again... already occupied with thought, Wyntre's attacks were dodged and her face kicked. Although she supplied a token effort, her hand was forced off of Gira by the (comparatively) powerful blow. "Well managed, my friend. You'll do well, and I'm sure that—" She stopped herself with a sudden realization...
That attack. The Kamehameha.
Wyntre had never seen Gira before in her life, the very idea was absurd. But still, there was still something very familiar about her. It was the way she held herself but, more visibly, it was the gi was wearing.
The Arcosian's mind sped through the implications.
Her facial expression turned from shock to confidence.
37,539PL. 56,309PL. 75,078PL. 93,848PL. 112,617PL.
She was so confident, in fact, that she didn't bother dodging. Subsequently, the kamehameha went straight through her, almost as if she wasn't even there... and, when the blast faded, one could see exactly what it had caused:
Absolutely no damage at all.
Wyntre's torso was still very much so intact. Her skin was pale (as usual) and completely unmarked, clues which might have lead one to the conclusion that the attack missed, if not for the fact that it very clearly didn't. "I bet you're curious." This was another one of her 'kill you without touching you' techniques. Or, rather, 'not be killed by you by not being touched by you'. "Frankly, I'd be disappointed if you weren't." She smirked, enjoying the feeling of having all of the cards. Figuratively. "It is called, quite simply, the Intangibility Technique. From the title alone, I think you'd be able to tell what its purpose is. But, enough of that. You're training under the Turtle Hermit, aren't you? I blame myself for not having seen it before, but that gi is unmistakable. In fact, I had a friend who had one just like it." Pause for dramatic effect. "Her name is Zexama. She was the Turtle Hermit not too long ago... you might have heard of her. Chances are, she trained your sensei. If that is the case, let it be known: I am your sensei's sensei's better." Better in power, that is. Wyntre had nothing on Zexama's candy-eating skills. "Sorry, I'm at 3% of my total power, that might be a bit much." She was enjoying this, wasn't she?
112,617PL. 97,603PL.
"There. Almost exactly 2.6%, your Power Level precisely." How kind. "Well, I seem to have the advantage, so how about we make this interesting? You've probably seen this technique before, but one can always enjoy the classics..."
Gira would have been able to feel Wyntre' manipulating her ki. But what would she be using it for? With one quick motion, one Wyntre became two... and, with another quick motion for each, both split into another two Wyntres. All in all, there were four Wyntres, which many would say was four Wyntres too many.
"Come on, then. Let's see what you're made of." Figuratively.

Gira tried her best to see through the dust and snow before it settled. She saw Wyntre's silhouette at first. As her entire body came into view, she noticed that her opponent didn't have a scratch on her. The hybrid's mouth hung wide open in shock. 'B-But! But!' A million confused thoughts ran through her head. 'How!? Why!? She didn't even dodge it! Her power is greater than before, but it should have at least left a mark!' The Arcosian asked the teen if she was curious. Indeed, she was. But that wasn't all. She was completely and utterly confused. At the brief explanation of what the technique she used was, Gira mentally chastised herself. 'Damn it. I jumped the gun. Should have strung her along a little longer.' Then Wyntre asked if she trained under the Turtle Hermit. "Uh huh. Articho-sensei trains me. He taught me that technique you so casually shrugged off." The hybrid joked.
Then she mentioned something interesting; the Majin, Zexama. Gira met her briefly some time ago. They had a spar, but the details were kind of fuzzy. A lot happened since then. "You're Zexama's friend? I know her. We met a few months back. We shared a chocolate bar and had a pretty fun fight." Gira's impression of the child-like Majin was mixed. She seemed nice enough. Her personality was more than a little amusing. The hybrid wondered whatever happened to her, if she was off-planet or somewhere else. She knew she was the former Turtle Hermit, but not that she trained Articho too! If what Wyntre said was true and she truly was stronger that Zexama, who was stronger than her sensei, then this was going to be an incredible fight. The pounding of her heart indicated that she was already having a good time. Crossing her arms, Gira spoke to the Arcosian once more once she lowered her power.
"You sure you want to do that? You might need that edge." Gira joked, smiling at Wyntre. The hybrid still had some tricks up her sleeve. This fight wasn't over yet. As Wyntre began to split into four, Gira narrowed her eyes. She hadn't seen it used against her, but she knew this technique; multiform. It let one gain an advantage in numbers at the cost of power. As Gira felt the strength of each copy, she noted that they were at a fraction of Wyntre's strength before she used the technique. This would be interesting indeed. The teen half-Saiyan smirked, looking back and forth at each of the clones. "I'm having a lot of fun, Wyntre. You're really strong and i'm learning a lot from this. Hopefully, I can show you something you haven't seen before too." Gira went back into her battle stance, taking a moment to recover from the exertion of releasing so much power at once.
She had never been in a situation where she had to use that much power before. It was interesting to see what she could do with her newfound strength. "Round three then?" Gira smirked, lunging at the four Wyntres. She would give herself a chance to recover for now, regaining her lost ki. She would go for a more tame assault for now. Once she got within range, Gira would spin her body in the air, aiming to kick two of the Wyntres at the same time with each of her feet before aiming two ki blasts fired from each of her hands at the other two clones.

Wyntre enjoyed the surprised look on Gira's face. She enjoyed the feeling of superiority that she got from no-selling seemingly powerful attacks— it made her feel powerful, like she used to feel at a nigh-constant basis in her youth. The irony was, she was hundreds of times weaker then than she was now, but felt so much stronger. It was better, back then, when half a million was the strongest anyone has been known to be. It was moments like these, with her opponent in utter shock because of her power and/or abilities, that she could almost forget how much weaker she was compared to how strong she needed to be.
"That does sound like something Zexama would do." Actually, no, on further inference, Wyntre came to the conclusion that it didn't sound like something Zexama would do at all. Eating chocolate, that was all well and good. Making chocolate for others was the epitome of typical Zexama behavior. But, even to imagine Zexama sharing, it just didn't make sense. Were the Majin's powers waning, Wyntre wondered? Or, she added, hopefully, perhaps she didn't like candy as much as she used to. For a millennia-old entity she sure was fickle, so perhaps it wasn't entirely insane to think Zexama had a slight change in tastes.
But, alas, soon there were four seasons of Wyntre.
"I must admit it, I am also enjoying this little spar of ours. In my ship, the Valiance," one Wyntre pointed behind her to the lazily-disguised massive vessel, "there is a state-of-the-art Gravity Chamber, with galaxy-spanning and highly-personalised simulation technology. If I'm still on Earth, I'd probably be here— it's just about the only place I can safely land the Valiance— so I'd like to let you know that you're free to train with me in there whenever you please." Finding a place to park the Valiance was a pain, and putting it in a capsule was only possible/feasible/moral when all of Wyntre's crew were outside of it. To this end, she had considered automating a lot of the processes, but doing the things that could otherwise be automated gave her staff things to do. Besides, putting a ship that was multiple kilometers long in a capsule was pushing the limits of the technology, especially considering the complexity of a lot of the ship's contraptions. For example, the Valiance had at least nine means of transportation, most of which worked under the assumption that the laws of physics were only recommendations. "If Zexama is abiding the curfew," another Wyntre said, herself doubtful, "she'd be sleeping in there right now. Perhaps she'd have been interested in our third round."
Gira was quick to attack with a few lunges, although with less energy than before. This made sense; she'd want to recuperate and gain the energy she had lost with that kamehameha so that she might try another sort of technique. "Show me your warrior's spirit! Show me your Saiyan pride!" But, by now, Wyntre was provoking Gira just as much as she was avoiding her lunges.
However, with each Wyntre split being four times less powerful than Gira herself, they were struggling. Gira did an aerial spin, kicking two Wyntres simultaneously, and shot one ki blast each to the other two Wyntres. But, perhaps it wasn't meant to be so easy...
The two Wyntres Gira had intended to hit with ki were quite close to each other. So, close, in fact, that they managed to avoid the attacks sent to their respective selves by pushing the other away after the briefest of moments of 'intrapersonal' planning.
Although kicked, two two other Wyntres would then go on to attempt to grab Gira's feet with their tails, so as to prevent her from moving for at least a few moments. Regardless of Gira's containment (or lack thereof), the more distant Wyntres were ready to attack...
Ki gathered above their charging arms. "Tell me what you think this technique looks like..." both Wyntres went as purple disks of energy formed above their hands. In only a moment more, the thin, purple, circular ki saucers sped towards their target, the users of the technique having made sure that they wouldn't hit the other Wyntres.
The two disks would fly forwards with great speed. Even if both of them hit, however, they'd only cause an amount of damage equal to half of Gira's PL.
Regardless of if it hit or not, Wyntre had something to say. "I hope that it's familiar-looking. Although in name it is only a ki saucer, I have based it off of Zexama's kienzan technique. It isn't quite as potent as the kienzan, to my shame, but it gets the job done."
