Gira listened as one of the Wyntres explained that there was a state of the art gravity chamber inside of her ship. The half-Saiyan grinned with excitement at this thought, especially when the Arcosian invited Gira to train there with her whenever she liked. Her own gravity chamber was far from state of the art. It was old, used, and outdated. Still, it was hers. But getting the chance to train inside of a chamber with simulation technology? She'd be crazy to pass that up. The hybrid made a mental note to ask about the training later. For now, Wyntre's provocation had her entirely focused on the fight. As Gira kicked two of the Wyntres and fired two ki blasts at the others, she felt something tighten around her ankles. Turning her attention back over to the copies that she kicked, the hybrid noticed that they had wrapped their tails around her, holding her in place. "Agh! Oh, this isn't good."
As Gira hung upside down by her ankles, she looked over at the other two Wyntres and noticed that they were preparing an attack. As the copies generated two purple ki disks, the Turtle Student thought that the technique she was using looked eerily familiar. "The Kienzan!?" As the copies launched their attack, Gira got a panicked look on her face. 'Oh, this REALLY isn't good!' Should she try to get free and avoid the attack with an afterimage? 'No, I need to save my energy. I've barely started to recover as-is.' As the disks got ever closer, Gira grit her teeth. "Damn it!" She tried her best to dodge the attack without an afterimage, but to no avail. The best she could manage was to thrash and twist her body in an attempt to move out of the way.
She managed to avoid a direct hit with one of the saucers, but they both managed to deal grazing blows on the hybrid, creating two long, shallow cuts on both of her sides. Gira touched the wound on her left side, cringing with pain. "Ow, that hurt." When her opponent mentioned that her attack was not as potent as the original, but that it got the job done, Gira laughed. "Yeah, no kidding." A serious expression returned to the teen's face quickly, however. With a roar, Gira's aura emerged once more. Using her ki to lift herself up, Gira would then attempt to fly straight up into the sky, hopefully either taking the two Wyntres with her or at least breaking their grip on her. She ascended a hundred feet or so into the air, then stopped, hovering in place.
'Let's see... there are four Wyntres. I could try and hold out against four of them while I wait for my energy to replenish, then hit her with a Dragon Barrage. No. Who's to say she won't just use the intangibility thing again to avoid it like she did last time?' Gira was wracking her brain to think of a strategy. In the end, she decided to hold out and wait for more options to present themselves. A smirk crossing Gira's lips, she gestured for the Wyntres to come at her before entering her battle stance again.

Wyntres #1 and #2 had successfully grasped Gira's legs. The two other Wyntres, numbered #3 and #4, were successful in charging their attacks... and in sending their attacks... but only one of these attacks was successful in actually making contact. Gira had managed, mostly through a series of squirms and wiggles, to avoid one of the Ki Saucers. But, even if one missed, one still hit. It caused a cut, but no serious damage. Gira flared up her ki. Rather than continuing to struggle with their grasps on her legs, Wyntres #1 and #2 (after a quick telepathic discussion with the other Wyntres) had their tails loosen their grips on Gira's legs. Gira flew directly upwards, many dozens of meters into the air.
What to do, what to do...
"Aren't you going to do something? Aren't you going to say something clever or hotblooded?" She smirked, amused. "Or perhaps you're afraid anything you use against me is what I'll use against you. Do I have any more special techniques that would give me an edge in this fight? I'll tell you: yes, I do. Multiple, really... I still have many tricks up my sleeve." Another pause for dramatic effect. "You are right to not attack. But, you are not right in not attacking..." She sure did love her dramatic pauses. "For, you see, you have allowed me some space. You have allowed me the opportunity to use any technique I so please..."
And I have chosen well.
Ki gathered in their hands. But, it wasn't just any ki. In their left hands gathered white ki and in their right hands gathered black ki. They swelled and grew and glowed until, eventually, they were ready.
"I call it, 'Themis Cannon'. Or, perhaps, from your perspective, 'Weird Technique #3'. I do believe shouting its name is appropriate in this sort of situation, so, without further ado..."
Ahem...
"Themis Cannon."
Pew. In a single moment, the two Wyntres brought their hands together as the black and white ki merged into two powerful beams of gray headed straight for Gira...

Gira watched with both interest and suspicion as two of the Wyntres began charging their attack. 'Weird Technique #3. Right.' The hybrid chuckled to herself and crossed her arms in front of her face in a guarding stance. A single bead of nervous sweat rolled down Gira's forehead as she felt the strength of the technique. 'Damn, that's some attack.' She looked down at her side to her wound. 'I'm still bleeding from that last one... if this one hits me...' At Wyntre's taunt, Gira's muscles tensed. 'Maybe I am afraid. Who knows what other strange techniques she has? What if, no matter what I do, it's pointless? Even if i'm stronger than them all individually, they have proven so far that they can use their numbers to their advantage. Wyntre herself isn't using even close to a quarter of her strength. I'm excited and yet... what is this other feeling?'
Then, it happened. The two Wyntres fired their Themis Cannon upon announcing its name. The two grey beams sped towards her. 'What can I...?' Gira's expression then changed suddenly. Every hint of melancholy drained from her face, her expression changing to one of anger and determination. Right before Wyntre's attack hit the half-Saiyan, her eyes seemed to flash a bright green as her hair stood on end and took on a strange golden hue. This change lasted less than a second, however. As the combined attacks of the two Wyntres struck the hybrid, they appeared to pass right through her before the girl seemed to vanish. An afterimage.
In an instant, Gira reappeared between the two Wyntre's, the golden color of her hair and the green color of her eyes having faded. She then attempted to kick Wyntre #1 away from Wyntre #2. The teen would then charge a bright blue ball of ki in her right hand, firing it at Wyntre #2 with a roar of desperation.

Green eyes. Gold, spiky hair. Wyntre knew precisely what it was. She had an understanding of the transformation which was quite deep (which was impressive in itself considering that she, obviously, could not attain the transformation) due to continual study with friendly (read: sane) Saiyans, Saiyan hybrids and bio-androids with just a little bit of Saiyan in them. She didn’t necessarily feel contempt for the transformation, even though it was just about only available to the Solar Saiyan Imperials (the baddies) and even though it was only because of the power gained by using the transformation that Wyntre was defeated.
The Super Saiyan transformation.
It didn’t stick, but Wyntre was worried regardless. Never mind that. She didn’t have time to worry.
Gira was gone, or at least she was for the slightest amounts of time. And, in that time, before a sudden realization, Wyntre briefly wondered if she had somehow killed the girl. But, alas, the realization came…
Not even close.
She used an afterimage, because of course she had. And, with Gira’s first order of business, Wyntre #1 found her body being kicked away to the side, presumably so that she wouldn’t interfere with whatever machinations Gira had in store for Wyntre #2. Wyntre proper (that is to say, all of the Wyntres, simultaneously) figured out what Gira’s plan was as soon as they saw the ball, but acting on that was another matter entirely…
The blue slammed into Wyntre #2 at speeds she could not manage to avoid in time. The ensuing smoke would have effectively covered one’s vision on Wyntre #2’s body…
”Can I just say,” started Wyntre #3, ”if I weren’t using Multi-Form and if that were my actual Power Level… that would have really hurt.”
The smoke cleared, revealing a complete lack of any remains. That was because, of course, there wasn’t any body to have remains be made out of. ”Congratulations, then,” said Wyntre #1, ”you’ve defeated one of my quarters. “ While disregarding it for now, the Super Saiyan transformation weighed heavily on Wyntre’s mind. ”Do you, by any chance, feel any different? Any more energy flowing through your veins? Power where it shouldn’t be? Oh, no matter, disregard my concern. You have much more pressing matters to deal with.”
…
”Actually, no, perhaps not. How about you show some initiative? Come at me with all you’ve got, and don’t worry about damaging yourself; I’ve got a healing chamber for just that purpose.” The healing chamber in question was big, blue, resembled something from Star Rawrs: Revenge of the Zoanthropes and tasted of grapes, so it could have been worse.

Gira grinned when the smoke cleared and the copy that she attacked was gone. "I... I did it!" How, she didn't know. But she did it. Looking back to the other Wyntres, Gira gave them a thumbs up. "Not bad, right?" At Wyntre giving her congratulations, Gira's cheeks went slightly pink with embarrassment. "Heh, thanks." Then came an odd question. For some reason, Wyntre asked the hybrid if she felt any different. "Uh... no. No, not really. I kinda lost my cool there for a second, but i'm fine now." Gira smiled at her opponent(s). She seemed completely normal again. Gira herself questioned what the sudden loss of her temper was about, however.
While anger was a potent weapon, the anger she felt moments ago was a little too potent. Perhaps it was time? She had to visit her sensei later and see what he thought. The hybrid felt the Wyntre copies rise in power to make up for the lack of one of the one Gira took out moments ago. As Wyntre invited Gira to come at her, she smirked and went back into her battle stance. "Alright! I think i'm ready now." The hybrid paused for a moment. That surge of anger and power restored her confidence, it appeared. In an instant, the hybrid lunged at Wyntre #3, delivering ki blasts to the other two Wyntres with her hands.
The girl then lowered herself and attempted to deliver a sweeping kick to her opponent's legs, following up with an upwards kick to the center of her back if successful. She had no concern for her safety at this point. She figured any damage Wyntre caused to her could be fixed by the healing tank she mentioned. While never really having a need for one of those things, she heard that they were often used in war to heal the wounds a soldier sustains in battle. As long as Wyntre didn't try to kill her, Gira figured that she wouldn't have to worry about losing her life.

”Not bad. Not bad, indeed.” She returned the thumbs up with a smile.
Litotes were an odd yet most certainly useful literary technique; ‘not bad’ didn’t mean what it seemed to imply, but rather ‘good’. They were also a good way to insult someone (if done well enough) without them knowing it, which Wyntre knew all about.
But, it did bring up an interesting concept. Gira didn’t seem to have been aware of her momentary transformation— even after it happened, she didn’t claim to have felt any different bar for a lapse in ‘cool’— which told Wyntre more than one would think about the transformation itself. The Arcosian had half the mind to tell her herself… but, she figured, if the power came out so easily this time, she’d know soon enough. But, even still… it’s like a Super Saiyan bargain sale.
Go time. The third Wyntre was jumped at by the Hybrid, the first and fourth having balls of ki thrown at them. Each Wyntre had only a third of the power that Gira had, making even the possibility of dodging seem unlikely. And so, by assuming that Gira would send ki at them, they began moving around at high speeds. Gira wouldn’t be able to hit them if even they weren’t sure were they were going, yes?
No. No, despite the moving, Wyntre #4 was still hit by the ki blast, knocking a good many meters back and, if only for a moment, out of the fight. And by Jove did it sting. For the third Wyntre, however, she was in bigger trouble…
The sweeping kick to Wyntre’s legs caught her off guard and put her off balance. Without her proper footing, she was completely unable to avoid (bar the hypothetical usage of one of her trademarked Weird Techniques) the kick to the back.
Although…
Without the use of Intangibility, being kicked in the back was inevitability. This wasn’t a problem. The issue wasn’t with what she was to do to prevent it, however, but what she was to do as a result of it. As she was sent forwards by the sheer power of the admittedly very painful contact, she seized her opportunity. By making a movement with her tail and with the power of Tulpa Touch, Wyntre planned to remotely ‘grab’ Gira’s neck with her tail and take the hybrid for a ride, hypothetically also throwing her into the ground. It wouldn’t hurt her as much as it’d hurt the Arcosian, but it was something.
Regardless, she spoke. ”Ow.” And she left it at that.

Gira grinned triumphantly as her assault was met with a degree of success, the two Wyntres being thrown back by her blasts as intended and Wyntre #3 being swept off her feet and struck in the back with a heavy upwards kick. 'Alright!' It was too early for celebrations, however. The hybrid would soon find that out the hard way. Shortly after her kick began to launch Wyntre forwards, she felt something wrap around her neck. She didn't see Wyntre's move, but she was familiar with her opponent's Tulpa Touch at this point. Before she could even register what happened, she was sent flying forward with Wyntre. She and the Arcosian flew through the air for a moment before crashing into the snow-covered ground. Gira slid face down for a few yards, but eventually came to rest. "Ow." The muffled voice of Gira came from the ground.
The half-Saiyan laughed breathlessly into the snow when she heard Wyntre echo her sentiment. Pushing herself up by her palms, the girl sat on the snow for a moment, then looked over at Wyntre and grinned excitedly. "Nice move. Should have seen it coming." Leaping to her feet, Gira shifted into her battle stance yet again before lunging at Wyntre, keeping an eye out for number one and four. 'I still sense three energy signatures. I gotta keep an eye out for them until they show themselves again.' If they got the drop on her, this could get bad quickly. The girl began her assault by throwing a barrage of small, yellow ki blasts at her opponent as she closed the distance between them. She continued to rocket through the air towards Wyntre #3, a look of excitement and determination etched on her face.
As she got within melee range, Gira vanished from view, reappearing behind her opponent and throwing a kick at the back of her opponent's head. This was only a feint, however. Right before the attack would make contact, the half-Saiyan vanished from her position once more, reappearing at Wyntre #3's right flank and throwing several strong punches at the side of her opponent's face, following her assault up with a powerful roundhouse kick towards Wyntre's side. Hopefully, this assault would wear this copy of the Arcosian down and leave her susceptible to a counterattack. She hoped, anyway.

Success. Gira was flown into the snow through the force of her own attack: it wasn’t quite as good as having her feel the strike to the back as well, but at least it was more than nothing. And, indeed, it was much more than nothing.
The Third Wyntre attempted to let go of her grip on Gira’s neck through Tulpa Touch but found that she had already done so, presumably in their mid-air panic. Oh, no matter… for the short amount of time that they had in the snow, Wyntre found some small peace in its ‘coldness’.
But, in only a few brief moments, the two were back on their feet. Or, were hovering just about the snow to the same effect. ”Yes, you really should have.” While expecting someone to use a certain technique was all well and good, one still needed to have a plan so as to avoid it. Or, use it to one’s advantage. The statement was still more taunt than criticism, though.
Wyntre #3, ever in the spotlight, had a series of ki balls thrown at her. However, considering their size and the general lack of effort placed in them, it was clear that damaging was not their intention. She guarded against them anyway— they might not have been very powerful from Gira’s perspective, but each Wyntre was three times weaker than that, so it was worth guarding against. But it was clear to see that they were only the beginning, and the second step was here…
Gira flew at Wyntre, but by now the Arcosian had figured out the Hybrid’s style of fighting. She prepared her Tulpa Touch to grab an attack from another direction… and, then, in a moment, as soon as she was behind Wyntre, she tried to use Tulpa Touch to grab any attack before it hit her head… But, that attack never came.
Wyntre’s first thought was to dash in a direction through flight in order to evade whatever Gira was only the smallest amount of time away from doing. She tried, but she was only a third as fast as she needed to be. And so, in the last possible moment, she tried her last manoeuvre… Gira would find that her strikes would hit something, but it wasn’t Wyntre. Rather, it was her shield, erected in the last feasible moment. It was only vaguely purple, but it was clearly there.
Wyntre #3 used the opportunity to dash back a dozen meters. Wyntre #4 got in front of #3 defensively, but defence wasn’t all that was on her mind. ”Tell me if you’ve seen this one before…” She brought up a large disc of purple… it looked identical to the technique she used before (and therefore similar to the Kienzan) and carried the same power but, unbeknownst to Gira, had been designed so that it would follow her movements.
At the same time, however, Wyntres #1 and #3 would also bring up purple ki saucers identical to Wyntre #4’s. Ideally, they’d all look like the exact same attack, even though only one would be able to follow. ”I hope you’ve invested in evasive manoeuvres, because dodging just won’t cut it anymore.”
ZZZzzwrrrRRAWWW!
Regardless of whether or not Gira would manage to avoid all three of those attacks, Wyntre had a plan. This whole Multi-Form thing was all well and good, but having her clones be defeated temporarily limited her total maximum power (which she understandably didn’t much like). So, to fix this, she took advantage of her clones’ closeness to each other and attempted to reunify.

Gira growled under her breath as the Wyntre managed to block the attack with an energy shield of some sort. 'Is there no end to her weird techniques!?' The answer would come soon enough; no. Not even close. Upon successfully avoiding the worst of the half-Saiyan's onslaught, the other Wyntres rushed to the other's defense. Upon getting in front of Gira's target, they began to execute an attack that the hybrid knew all too well. The wounds on her sides burned upon seeing the disks of ki again. 'Ah, damn it. Hopefully I can dodge all of them this time.' Then came a revelation from the former Empress before her; simple dodging wouldn't be enough.
Gira wondered what she meant by that, but she would find out soon enough. As the Wyntres all launched their attacks, Gira readied herself. 'Evasive maneuvers, huh? Yeah, I got one.' The teen smirked and stood completely still. Once the attacks were in range, she dodged with an afterimage, moving at her full speed into the air. The three disks of ki struck the afterimage in the waist and the chest, passing right through it. Two of them crashed into a rock formation behind the hybrid, cleaving it into three different pieces before continuing on to the horizon before presumably fizzling out or impacting something that could stop it. "Piece of cake!" Gira shouted triumphantly.
The mention of cake caused the hybrid's stomach to growl. Just about the time she was planning out her after-training snack, she noticed something strange and surprising. The third disk of ki hadn't gone off into the distance with the others. It didn't even collide with the rock formation like the others. It stopped short just before doing so, then shot upwards in Gira's direction. Suddenly, what Wyntre said made a lot more sense. "Oh... fuck." Using profanity in such a way was uncharacteristic of the teen, but it perfectly summed up her surprise. She immediately took off through the air, trying to outrun the attack if she couldn't dodge.
Even though she rocketed through the sky at incredible speeds, the saucer was gaining on her. 'Damn it damn it damn it damn it!' Ahead was a welcome sight, however. A short distance away, Gira noticed a large cave mouth. She decided to attempt to lose the disk in there, lowering her altitude and flying into the cave. She could hardly see a thing, but managed to maneuver around the various stalagmites and stalactites. She hoped those might at least slow the saucer down, but it simply cleaved through each and every obstacle Gira put in its way. Seeing a dead end coming, Gira placed both arms in front of her as she flew towards the cave wall, firing several powerful ki blasts in an attempt to blast her way out of the cave.
As she impacted with what was left of the wall, the hybrid burst through to the other side. Turning around in midair, Gira peppered the side of the mountain with a barrage of ki blasts once more. A loud rumble sounded as the cave collapsed, taking part of the mountain with it, sealing the passage behind her and keeping the attack contained. "Ha! Got it!" No. Again, her moment of triumph was ruined. A faint purple glow came from the rubble. Before Gira could even get much of a chance to react, the purple ki saucer sliced right through the rubble. The hybrid tried to dodge, but it was no use. The saucer sliced right through the top of her right shoulder, severing muscles, tendons, and even delivering a deep cut to her bone, almost severing that too.
Incredible pain coursed through her entire body as she fell out of the air and into a snow bank face first. She couldn't move her right arm at all. Gira managed to get up on her knees, gritting her teeth so hard she thought they might shatter under the force. Eventually, she couldn't hold it in anymore. Opening her mouth wide, Gira let out a scream of anguish as she held her shoulder. The scream of the girl echoed throughout the highlands. She tried to stand, but every movement made her arm feel like it was going to fall off. Indeed, there wasn't a whole lot holding it where it was. Her red undershirt didn't show blood normally, but it was getting soaked enough to where it was visible. Blood dripped down her arm as her fingers twitched with pain. Tears formed in the hybrid's eyes, streaming down her cheeks as she tried to get a hold of herself.
'Oh god, it hurts... it hurts... please make it stop...'
Never before in her life had she ever felt pain like this. It beat the worst pain she ever felt by an order of magnitude. If she didn't recover soon, this fight might be over.

It had worked! The Ki Saucers had went forth and the one with the homing variant had succeeded in the piece of subterfuge intended for it— it followed Gira, despite her dodging. It followed her in spite of any and all of her efforts and it followed her with a determination as great as Wyntre's own…
Although in hindsight, Wyntre realised, perhaps it worked just a tad too well.
Yes, it had hit, but it had hit with more power than however much should have been used. Wyntre surveyed the damage from afar and regretted using a cutting technique like the Death Saucer as opposed to an attack where the damage would have been more evenly spread. Regardless, watching the poor hybrid somehow writhe in pain without moving much, she had an internal discussion as to what the most suitable course of action would have been. Gira collapsed, too preoccupied with the pain caused by some missing shoulder to break her fall into the snow. At least she landed in something soft.
But, ever determined, she managed to get herself somewhat off of the snow and onto her knees. One could not truly imagine the magnitude of pain that Gira was feeling by her facial expression alone but damn did it give a good indication.
By the time the half-Saiyan was screaming out in pain, Wyntre had gotten to the point where she had no idea how to alleviate the pain without getting her back to the ship. Gira's screams were painful to hear, painfully produced and loud enough to cause avalanches all across the Yunzabit Highlands and the close Mount Frappe.
"This… this is bad, this is really bad…" She said this to herself silently but soon focused her attention solely to the individual with the continually redder undershirt. "I'm sorry, Gira, I didn't mean to—" But, by that time, it was too late to apologise. "… I'll make it up to you. But, for now…"
The Valiance had many fully qualified doctors as staff, some of which were specialists in areas so specific that even saying so wasn't redundant. It had all manner of machinery engineered for all manner of medical purposes, but Wyntre was only thinking about one type of machine… the aforementioned healing tanks. All she had to do was get Gira there quickly, then…
No funny business. 2,815,398PL.
Wyntre would attempt to telekinetically cradle and take hold of Gira's (hopefully still very much so alive body) and fly back.
When she arrived— if she arrived— she would hand Gira over to a Doctor Meton Ess who, as per protocol, would do his best to be of assistance to Gira as she was hypothetically healing in the chamber.
"The chamber will heal your wounds and clean your gi, but you might smell of healing chamber for a few days." And that was assuming she showered daily. "Regardless," she said to the hypothetically awake and healing Gira, "this will take about an hour. Or half an hour, if you don't care about nerve damage."

It didn't even register in the hybrid's head as Wyntre descended next to her and began to apologize for the mishap. Gira would guess that Wyntre hadn't meant to cause so much damage. Gira simply stayed where she was, tears soaking her face as she tried to stand, only to fall to one knee again. The snow beneath her had begun to turn crimson with the blood flowing from her wound. Gira felt herself being cradled by some force, relaxing visibly with a soft groan. As they flew back to the Empress's ship, the half-Saiyan writhed in pain, half conscious. She had begun to get a little delirious from the blood loss, mumbling in her barely aware state. "I... I can still fight. It's not... over."
These were merely ramblings brought on by delirium, however. She could hardly move now that she had lost so much blood. It was indeed over, whether Gira realized it or not. Whether "it's over" meant her life or the fight would depend on how quickly Wyntre got her into a healing chamber. Thankfully for the hybrid, the one carrying her was quick. As Wyntre's power shot up to its maximum, Gira stirred slightly with a groan as she felt the sudden increase in the Arcosian's energy. It didn't take them long to return to the Valiance, Wyntre handing Gira off to a doctor, who quickly got her into a healing chamber. As the rejuvenation liquid washed over her and filled the tank, Gira felt the pain slowly begin to subside.
She opened her eyes at last, looking ahead at Wyntre through the glass. It was at this point that she felt Wyntre's full power. 'Woah... unreal.' Gira found herself smiling slightly beneath the oxygen mask. 'I really didn't stand a chance.' Wyntre was speaking to her, it seemed, but she could only pick out bits and pieces. Mainly that it would take about an hour for her to heal completely. As the hybrid drifted off into unconsciousness, she thought back to their fight. Wyntre was a truly powerful opponent, but to know that she hadn't even begun to get serious excited the hybrid. 'One day... i'm gonna be even stronger than that. Then we'll fight again... and i'm gonna... win.' Gira's eyes closed after she finished her thought, losing consciousness.
Thread exit. Thanks a lot. ^^ I had lots of fun. As for another thread in the gravity chamber, that sounds awesome. I can start it if you'd like, but if you'd prefer to, I can go up to x20. (I have a x20 thread, but it's still ongoing so I dunno if I can go ahead and move up)
For this thread, though, i'd like Zeni please!
