Pin strode quickly down the palace steps, with the purpose of a soldier preparing for war. He'd just watched the invading forces of Vi-Poi pull off of the planet, and Habana had ordered him to meet at Zuccetta's ship. He assessed his physical condition and found that he was in fine shape. No need to stop and make repairs, as he could handle whatever needed to be done in the field. He could just order the Pixie to autopilot itself to Namek and be done with it.
But that's when he heard a loud, thick clacking sound from off to his left. Almost like a dog's bark, if a dog was a bug. He turned towards the sound, and saw an increasingly familiar creature bounding towards him - Suz, his Saiba hound. The civilians she ran past looked on in terror - they'd never seen such a creature - but Pin got to one knee and laughed.
"I told you to stay at the Pixie, girl," he said, stroking the top of her smooth, chitinous head. There was something in her mouth. "What you got there? Did you kill something for me? C'mon, give it!"
He held his hand out under her mouth, and hesitantly, she opened up and let the object fall into his palm. It was coated in a thin film of acidic saliva, but even so Pin knew exactly what it was. The bright bronze-gold glow from deep within the crystalline casing gave it away instantly. This was something he'd been working on for quite some time - one of his father's old blueprints. In his hand, Pin held a very unique sort of power cell, carved out of a crystalline deposit that grew on certain types of space engines, and engraved with a very specific set of angular channels, all leading towards a central reservoir. He'd carved it ages ago, using the precision of his mechanical limbs and the unique display of his helmet to help him get it just right, and had been charging it from the Pixie's own engine for...what felt like months. He'd been waiting for it to reach near capacity so he could put the finishing touches on it.
Suz barked. She'd somehow figured out what Pin wanted, and knew when the time was right. He gave her another long stroke on top of her head. He'd let her eat so many Mazoku on Namek...
"Well, shit, uh...well, repairs in the field I guess!"
Pin took a turn down a side road, towards a small garage he'd used to frequent for parts for the Pixie. He figure there would be no better place to do what he needed to do. Upon arrival, the mechanic approached him as if to do business, but Pin made it pretty clear that this was neither a business nor a social call - he was commandeering the shop for a minute. The mechanic made no arguments, and instead closed the front gate of the shop to give Pin a little extra privacy.
Sat on a workbench, Pin removed his armor, placing it on the floor beside him. He released the locks that held his chassis closed, and his chestplate opened wide. Within was a series of fans, pistons, wires, and one bigass battery. Pin reached inside himself and disconnected one of the input cables that routed energy back into the battery after it was channeled through his body. His own energy began to pump into the new power cell, and after a few minutes Pin switched over the other input cable. Then one of the outputs, then the second output. By the time he was done, his new power cell was fully charged and pumping a newfound energy throughout his body. He closed his chassis, and as it sealed his UI indicated that new features had been unlocked, and power capacity had gone up significantly.
Putting his armor back on, he nodded to the mechanic and tore ass out of the shop. He had some Mazoku to kill, and he'd kept the Queen waiting long enough.
