So I've been thinking, Saiyans need more reason to keep their tails. As it stands, once you get to 100k, cutting off your tail is what most Saiyans will do (if they have no IC pride reason for it) because the SSJ makes the Oozaru trans obsolete. Why waste a tech slot for something you're going to remove/not grow back when it gets removed anyways, right?
So I was thinking, in DB Canon, Goku mentioned several times that he felt stronger when his tail was grown. I was thinking, perhaps offer a 10% PL boost or PL gain modifier when grading if someone has a tail? That would give reason to keep the tail and protect it, as well as spend the tech slot on training the tail instead of just lobbing it off at 100k. Just a thought I had.

I'm not against it but I believe it should be a SMALL boost. 5%, hell even 2.5%.
It's just a matter of trying to be fair. Mind you, a 2.5% boost may be small. It's still a reason to keep the tail AND the digits will add up in the future.

Hmm... This can be a thing. Halfies, regardless of how much more saiyan they are, could get a 5% increase, since they get a weakened version. I'm up for either or maybe even both, if everyone's ok with it. If it works for just transformations, it could go like this, except for Oozaru for obvious reasons: Saiyans- Super Saiyan= x13 instead of just x12
- Mastered/Ultra Super Saiyan= x16 or x17 (rounded up or down respectively) instead of x15 for Mastered form and x19 (rounded up) or x18 (rounded down) for offense x13 defense for Ultra form instead of x17 offense/x12 defense
- Super Saiyan 2 (controlled & uncontrolled)= x27 or x28 (rounded up or down respectively) instead of x25 (still using 10%)
- Super Saiyan 3= x44 instead of x40.
- Master Super Saiyan 3= x49 or x50 (rounded up or down respectively) instead of the usual x45.
It does give them a reason. And it also still works with Halfies, just with half instead. Half-Saiyans- Super Saiyan: x13 (rounded up from .6) instead of 12.
- Masterd/Ultra Super Saiyan= x16 instead of x15 and x18 offense/ x13 defense instead of x17 offense/ x12 defense
- Super Saiyan 2 (Controlled and Uncontrolled)= x26 instead of x25 (rounded down)
- Super Saiyan 3= x42 instead of x40
- Mastered Super Saiyan 3= x46 instead of x44 (rounded down)
- Ultimate Potential= x47 instead of x45 (rounded down)
As seen here, it's very possible to keep saiyans and half saiyans relevant throughout, making them not feel as dwarfed by Humans, showing that they're still very capable of being as they preach. Of course, the moment the tail is lost, they go to the labelled levels. While they can regrow their tails, it wouldn't be a significant loss in power. In regards to the full saiyan's transformations, since they're not very straight forward. However, if we don't like the transformations increasing because of the tail, we can just simply have saiyans have a 10% or 5% gain, for full blooded and half-saiyan (saiyan dominant) characters respectively.

Honestly, I kind of like Pieters suggestion more. That would give me, personally, more than enough reason IC and OOC to keep and invest tech points into my tail, since once Toma lost it he would notice the decrease in his power level. Perhaps we could spend a tech on Oozaru Trans control, too? IE: A tech that doesn't make you forced into the Oozaru state when you see a full moon. You can choose not to? But the requirement would be 10k PL and Oozaru control, of course.

... plzno >.<
Saiyans(and especially half-saiyans) do NOT need higher multipliers or further statistical bias pushed in their favour... Run out of time to address this today though :X

Possibly we could do the reverse, removing the tail makes you a tad weaker, or possibly slightly deducts PL gains.

I'd say it is fine as is. Having a tail is beneficial in low level play and not having it could be a very minute bane. If you create a big bonus or penalty one way or another then people will go against preference and just choose what is obviously better.

You've got to realise it takes a while to get to 100k, and in theory would take even longer to get a true purpose to go SSj (just because you have the PL don't mean you have the need for the transformation). For most of your character's early game, you're not going to be thinking about ssj, and 3k/6k/9k's of 100k's worth of technique slots isn't all that much.
