Purika grumbled as he explored regions of hell unknown to him, as he’d explored quite a bit since he’d been here. Almost none stop since he didn’t need to eat or drink, or even rest for that matter. He was only a mere red puffy soul that floated around, seemingly aimlessly. But, that wasn’t the case, this wasn’t all for nothing. Purika was exploring these regions to see if he could find a way to obtain a body and get to training. The first thing on his training list was to master the super saiyan form.
Purika growled as he hovered around tree after tree, in a sprawling forest of burned and withered trees. Cool air rushed through the air, spreading the black and purple fire that raged on the ground and beneath it. Through holes in the ground the fire spewed up from, the light from it shining and lighting up the entire area since there were black clouds above that blocked all light. A lightning strike shot out of the sky with a loud crack and an explosion of light, slamming into the ground and ripping it up, throwing the debris into anything that was beside it.
This.... this was starting to look more like hell, but this was still sort of mellow to what he was thinking. This was perfect though, it just made him want to go wild. And he would too, if he had a body that is. He would remember this place, it awoke the beast inside him, it metaphorically got his saiyan blood pumping if you know, he actually had blood now. He couldn’t feel pain at the moment, since he was sure there was no way he could be damaged. In Purika’s book, you could not grow stronger with no pain. No one could in his book, except for maybe androids since they were built powerful.
The saiyan looked around, observing demonic beasts scurrying around the area, doing whatever they did. There weren’t too many souls hanging around this place either, and if Purika were any normal person who’d gotten sent down here to be reincarnated, he probably sure as hell would’ve stayed away from a creepy place as this. But, he was a saiyan, who he presumed liked these kinds of environments. Some saiyans were soft too, like that measly Capper kid with a small power level of 20. Purika laughed, finding the power level of that child quite amusing. That was power level of a newborn, maybe even weaker.
Purika could only wonder what the child was up to right now, maybe getting himself into trouble again by running into Xylo again. If Purika had arms and fingers, he would crack his knuckles. Getting to the strength he’d assumed Xylo was at now, presumably stronger than that pesky dog Zoan Samba from before, would be a synch. Little did he know that Xylo was plenty stronger than that, and he did have quite the amount of tricks up his sleeve. How else would he have driven the Saiyan Solar Empire off of Namek, and being labelled as such a threat. He took out Vennel and Kaza, which meant they most likely were sent down here a little while before him.
He wondered how strong Kaza had become since she’d been down here. He wanted to fight her since she did seem pretty strong the last time they interacted. But, training had to come first. Mastery of the super saiyan form was important, so he wouldn’t be exhausted after prolonged use of it or after using all his stamina. In the distance, another lightning bolt shot down from above, releasing a loud crack into the air that returned him to reality from his inner thoughts. He shook his upper body, like it was his head to focus.
He was going to find a way to get his body, and he was going to find a way to get it now. Dashing forward and swerving around trees, he made it to the edge of a cliff, but this time it wasn’t a pit full of flames like last time. It was barren wasteland, with no plants or life in sight except for the occasional wandering soul he came across. Purika growled. Finally, he came up to a hill, hearing noises and seeing light on the other side. Purika wondered what it was, hovering up the hill to see what lies beyond it.
The closer it got, it sounded like some sort of music. Nearing the top of the hill, he could see what seemed to be the roof of something pointing up. Reaching the top of the hill, it was perfectly visible. It was a house, and the music was coming from off the porch of this wooden house. It was more like a shack. Then, there was someone with a body here! He appeared to be the owner of the shack, and the one causing the music with his instrument in hand. He had a large white beard and a hat made out of something Purika didn’t know of.
Purika approached the house a bit more before pausing on the path to the steps. “Hey you!” Purika said, attempting to get the man's attention. Apparently, it worked. The man sat up from leaning back on his chair, pushing up his hat made of a material unknown to Purika to reveal his face, and he stopped playing his music as well before he spoke. “Whaddya want?” The man said in a kind of beat up voice, one of a old man but not too old. Purika made his way up the stairs onto the porch. “You know how I can get a body? I’d figure you know since you have one.” Purika asked.
A moment passed before the old man sighed and gave a few nods of the head. “Yes…. Yes I do.” The old man said. “But… there is a catch. You have to do something for me, specifically get me something, after I tell you, deal?” The man asked. Purika nodded. “Deal.” He said. “Alright then, now that we have an agreement I’ll tell you. There’s this magical lake near here, it's that way-” The man said, pausing and pointing before resuming what he was saying. “It was created by this witch who lives near it, she visits it every once and awhile to collect the spirit energy that's been trade and to replenish its magical properties. Get in it and concentrate on releasing the spirit energy you have. It will feed on it. If you have enough spirit energy, it will feed on it and in exchange it will restore your normal body to how it was before you died, fully healed.” The man said.
“Hmph, seems easy enough. We definitely have a deal, thanks.” Purika said. “I’ll be back in a bit.” When that was said, Purika floated away, down off the hill and towards the location where the old man pointed out. When Purika left, the old man sighed and waited. Meanwhile, Purika darted forward, going as fast as he could go in this puffball form towards the magical lake. Eventually, he noticed water in the distance. That meant he was getting close, and the land around it started to look less wasteland-ish and better than most other parts of hell. Maybe some sort of decorations on it.
He finally reached the edge of the lake, looking at the glistening blue water. But, he couldn’t see into it. Maybe it was the magical properties doing that, but he already knew what to do. Floating in and submerging his body in water. If Purika had a mouth, he’d be grinning like hell right now. He was sure this was going to work, it had to. Completely submerging himself in the water, he cut off his visual senses and began to concentrate. He remembered how he’d absorb spirit energy, except this time he had to excrete it. Trying to do it like a reverse mechanic of absorbing it, his body began to glow brightly in the magical water. It was working.
He could feel the spirit energy leaving him rapidly, the water taking it in so he couldn’t absorb it back. Then…. Then it began doing its magic. His body was tingling he felt something.
Then, the process began.
Tissue shot out from around him, wrapping him up into a ball of tissue as his body began reconstructing. His physical form was returning! He could feel it! The ball of tissue squished around, morphing parts of his body into limbs, constructing organs and all. He could feel blood flowing from him yet again! He was beginning to feel himself again. The body had finished the morphing process, shaping his body. Then it began constructing the outside features, his hair growing back and all his other features.
Then, he was complete.
A wide grin appeared on Purika’s face, he was himself again. And he was stronger than ever! His hair flickered golden, his golden aura flaring around him once more. He rose his hand above him, pointed straight for the sky. Golden ki began manifesting on itself, shining. With one loud roar, a massive golden beam shot up from the lake up into the clouds. His voice could be heard by all nearby, his roar being amplified by his power. He was himself again, finally!
The beam soon faded away, water falling from the sky back into the lake as Purika rose up from inside it. His massive aura raged, keeping the water parted and from. Purika let out a loud laugh. “IT DIDN’T TAKE TO LONG, BUT ALAS! I AM MYSELF AGAIN!” Purika shouted out, laughter still being heard. Two ki balls began forming in his hands, it was time to take his reformed body on a joyride. Destruction came next as Purika leashed a barrage of ki balls onto the terrain below, explosions shaking the ground. Away from the lake though, he’d leave that intact.
He continued his destruction until he was finally satisfied, thinking it was about time to get back to the old man. Purika was very grateful. He shot forward in a burst of speed, getting back to the shack damn near instantly. He didn’t travel that far, after all. Purika hovered down to the pathway that led up to the stairs which in turn led to the porch. The old man seemed shocked. He could sense the energy coming from Purika. “Damn son, how strong are you!?” He asked. “Very, but I have to admit. I am not the strongest one there is. I still need to grow stronger, so let’s get this over with. What do you want from me in return?” He asked the man.
