The Heran lounged back in the cockpit seat, peering out of the windshield and watching the new planet come into view. One of the Saiyan merchants was kind enough to give Gaivahros the co-ordinates of this planet, located three sectors from Planet Vegeta—a place called "Namek". He had not heard much about the place, only that it was the home world of a group called the Mazoku Dominion. As peaceful as the planet looked, he had hoped that this faction was the same…
The man's eyes widened as he entered the planet's stratosphere. All around him was a pale yet beautiful green sky. Below were small islands, some of them no bigger than a football stadium. Expansive, crystal clear seas and lakes took up near enough the entirety of his view. It was a complete contrast to the dire, desolate looking Vegeta. He had a better time understanding why people would like on this planet than the prior.
Plasma from the shuttle's thrusters dissipated, and the hull inclined upwards as Gaivahros tugged back on the control wheel. The ship's descent came to a crawl as it loomed a few meters off the ground, and then landed upon the dark grass with a light *thoom*. The blades billowed from the impact, and a circular ring of dust plumed.
With a sigh, the Heran was about to open the cockpit hatch, but a red gauge on one of the side monitors caught his attention. He turned to the fuel gauge, and saw a big red 'E' on it. He shook his head. "First, it was spare parts," he grumbled to himself. "And now, it's fuel…" With a light shrug of his shoulders, he pushed open the door, pistons firing and compressed air hissing from canisters.
Booted feet made their first contact onto this new world. Emerald green eyes shifted and scanned about, looking towards the ocean and the horizon beyond. He was surprised to see that the planet had three suns in its orbit. His chest expanded from a deep inhale, taking in that fresh, pure air. He smiled sincerely on the exhale, and stretched his arms to his side. "Now this is what I call a vacation spot…"

Atop a hill not far from where the Heran landed, a single Namekian sat peacefully, silently. A brisk breeze flew by his ears, yet he did not budge. His legs were crossed, hands cupped together over his lap with closed eyes. Anyone with half a brain could realize that he was busy meditating, clearing his mind from deep, concerning thoughts- simply taking a moment to come to his senses.
Rhytid couldn't afford to panic with the looming Saiyan threat. The Warrior had to keep his wits about him if he was going to protect this place. He was a Caste Leader now, someone the people looked up to, and seeked for both wisdom as well as inspiration. Rhytid had to set an example, as difficult as that sometimes was.
But then, suddenly, he heard rampant footsteps from below!
''RHHYYYYYYYTIIIIIIIIDDD!!!!!''
A voice screeched out to him at peak volume! A sharp pain jabbed though Rhytid's hearing, instantly snapped out his trance with a cold sweat running down his head! ''WHAT?! WHO?!'' He shouted aggressively, standing up and snapping his sights from side-to-side! Unbeknownst to the Namekian, the mystery voice creeped up behind him while Rhytid silently panicked, standing RIGHT behind him...!
''RHYTID!''
''GHAA!'' The Warrior jumped from the sudden noise, losing his balance before falling down and rolling down the hill like a sack of potatoes, letting out repeated grunts. Rhytid came to a sudden halt when his back slammed into an Ajissa tree halfway down the slope, dazed eyes staring up at whoever spooked him. ''WAKE UP MASTER RHYTID THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO GOOF AROUND!'' The voice shouted down at him again- by now Rhytid had gotten used to it. The Namekian shook his head, a vague blur slowly defining itself into a detailed figure...
''...Athora?'' Rhytid muttered, slowly climbing to his feet. ''COME ON WE GOTTA HURRY OR WE'RE ALL GONNA BE SLUG SOUP!'' The young mystic screeched down, huddling over toward the much older Warrior comedically. Rhytid looked a tad confused- understandably. ''Okay, calm down for...TWO seconds, and tell me what's wrong...Okay?'' Rhytid held up his hands cautiously, gazing at the Dragon Clansman with a concerned look. Athora snapped his head over his shoulder, then back to Rhytid, before he pointed at the sky behind him! ''SHIP! SHIP LANDED! NAMEK....!!'' He huffed and puffed- ''aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAA''
''ATHORA I SWEAR TO PORUNGA- CALM DOWN!'' Rhytid's powerful voice easily overpowered the prepubescent mystic's, and Athora quickly shut himself up, nodding wildly. ''MHM MHM!''
Finally having regained some semblance of peace and quiet, Rhytid sighed out. ''Okay- finally.'' The Warrior wordlessly walked back to the top of the hill, and was JUST about able to see the remnants of the split sky, where this stranger landed. ''I'll go take a look...Just...Don't panic, alright?'' Rhytid looked back at the smaller mystic, who's eyes were still wide with anxiety.
''I AM THE CALM.''
After a short pause, Rhytid simply blinked twice, before looking back. ''Good enough.'' He replied curtly, before shooting off into the skies. He wasn't even going to think about what just happened. Too much of a headache. He silently followed the trail of the split sky and the strange energy signature- luckily not all too far away, he'd be there within moments.
When Rhytid finally did reach the stranger's landing spot, he slowly floated downwards, trying to pick out his speech with that totally helpful sensitive hearing of his. Not much of worth was said, other than 'Vacation'...
What was it with these people going on a vacation to Namek in times of war...!?
''...My greetings, stranger.'' Rhytid spoke in a somewhat hesitant tone, stepping down on the grass with a light thump. It was admittedly hard to greet newcomers with excitement in times like these. ''Welcome to Namek, although I'm unsure if you'd want to spend your vacation here currently...Things could be better, I'll admit.'' The Warrior sighed out somewhat disappointedly. He took a few steps toward the stranger, forcing a slight smirk on his features. ''Still, not a reason to not give you a proper welcome-'' The Namekian chuckled, offering the stranger a friendly handshake. ''I'm Rhytid, of the Warrior Caste.'' Rhytid spoke clearly.
He seemed alright, with no signs of the Saiyan Empire anywhere near or on him. And besides that, Rhytid's concerns regarding strangers have only been proved wrong time and time again, so there was no reason to be suspicious of this stranger. Atleast he hoped.
Whether or not the stranger actually accepted the handshake or not, Rhytid would still ask the same thing- purely out of curiosity;
''So, what made you choose Namek as your 'vacation spot'?''

Truly a wonderful sight, Gaivahros thought to himself. With a cool breeze against his skin and the smell of the ocean tantalizing his senses with each breath of air, it made him feel calm, made him feel relaxed, and made him forget about his troubles. But what made him more curious was the three suns upon the horizon, lined up and spaced far apart, but still within his sights. He had barely known the light of just one sun, let alone multiple at once. It made him wonder what other planets must be like.
His hand reached into his pocket, and pulled out a rectangular metal device—his TouchPod, as he calls it—and sighed as he looked down at the screen, the battery gauge at only twelve percent. It should be enough for a couple of songs, he thought to himself. The tip of his thumb began to tap and swipe and scroll across its screen, his eyes scanning for a suitable track. After a moment, he gave the screen a last tap before putting it into his pocket. He picked up the ear buds from inside his scarf.
A shrieking noise flooded his ears before he was able to put the ear buds in. "The hell was that?" he muttered to himself as he snapped his head towards the direction it came from. But he couldn't see anything, only the trees and mountains and grasslands that spanned for miles. "Probably just my imagination…" He turned back around to the ocean view, and finally put the ear buds in. A calm, soothing melody set the atmosphere for him.
Moments went by as the Heran relaxed, seated on the edge of the cockpit hatch. A number of thoughts and images flashed through his mind. He began to picture what the people here looked like, how they acted, how the behaved. He saw children smiling and laughing as they chased each other around the buildings and alleyways. He saw families sat around tables and eating their meals, content and happy with their simplistic lives. He saw fathers teaching their sons how to fish and gather wood and feed the animals.
But he realized that all of those images, all of those memories, were just his with a new coat of paint. The thought made him feel sombre, and a sigh drifted between from between his lips. He missed those times. He missed the days that he was a child, running around with doctor Kyobu chasing after him. He missed the days that him and the scientists would sit in the mess hall, eating whatever they managed to harvest. He missed the times when doctor Marik and his assistants taught him engineering, biology, and mechanical works.
He missed his family. He missed his home.
The man was so deep in his thought that he hadn't even noticed someone approach him. His head turned to see the figure before him. A rather tall, muscular individual with green and pink skin. A blue training vest and undershirt adorned his top half, while white, baggy pants donned the lower. An orange sash wrapped around his waist. More striking was his long, pointed ears and antennae sprouting from his forehead. He hadn't pictured the native race on this planet to look like this. He was taken aback by it somewhat.
Gaivahros took an ear bud out as the man had greeted him. He listened to this Namekian's words, although as much as he tried to mask his discontent with a smile and kind words, the Heran could see through it. He always had a great sense of empathy, and it was not lost on this Warrior Caste fighter.
"Ah! Thanks for the welcome," replied Gaivahros as he pushed himself off of the shuttle with both hands before making his way over to the Namekian. "Well it's less of a vacation, and more of a pit stop, y'know? Don't think too much about it." He stopped a few feet short of his acquaintance, and looked down at the extended hand. Tense, strong, and almost claw like. He could see that his position as a warrior was not misplaced. With a smile from behind his cloak, he extended his own arm and gripped the green hand. "Name's Gaivahros, but friends just call me Gai. So… stick to that, yeah?"
He gave the Namekian's hand a small shake before releasing, turning back around to watch the ocean view once more. "But, like I said, this is more of a pit stop than a vacation spot… although maybe I should stay here for a while? This place is pretty amazing, don't ya think? Fresh air… cool breeze… and the views are pretty beautiful…"
He placed his hands on his hips and arched his back, gazing up at the clouds for a moment. "Although… while I'm here…—" he craned his head to the side, looking over his shoulder at Rhytid "—maybe I can help you with whatever problem you're having?"

Rhytid allowed a slight grin to cross his features as the newcomer took hold of his hand. ''Gai it is.'' He let out with a small shrug. Letting go of the grip again, Rhytid mentally sighed out from relief. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't the slightest bit nervous- the way Athora approached him almost made him think some terrible things were going to happen. The Namekian should've known that Athora just overreacts a whole lot. For such a skilled mystic, the boy really didn't seem all that wise...
Setting his attention back to the Heran, Rhytid casually crossed his arms. ''Tell me about it.'' Rhytid chuckled, ''Even though I've never left this planet to visit others, I believe it's safe to say that a place more beautiful than Namek doesn't exist.'' He spoke confidently. Between all the marching militaristic empires, and the harsh, warrior-like societies of other well-known planets, Rhytid was sure that a peaceful haven like Namek was truly one of its kind. Sure, it was a biased assumption, but could you really blame him?
''Feel free to stay around however long you like.'' Rhytid spoke in a friendly manner, not really feeling the same anxiety he had when Tulip landed. Even if this guy was with the Saiyan Empire, Rhytid wouldn't have any trouble beating him into a pulp. He just hope it didn't have to come to that.
When Gai looked back and Rhytid and offered his help, the Namekian's eyes widened slightly. His mind raced for a moment, trying to think of a proper response. On one end, Gaivahros was flat-out offering his assistance, and he certainly didn't seem all that weak...!
But, on the other end...Did Rhytid really want to drag this humble stranger into this galactic mess...?
After a brief silence, Rhytid let out a long breath. ''I'm...I'm afraid this issue is beyond your power.'' The Namekian sighed out. ''No offense.''
He took a few steps toward Gai, before letting his gaze wander over to the vast. green oceans. ''My people face a terribly powerful enemy. One that could destroy this world a thousand times over if they so wished.'' Rhytid hissed, gripping the cloth on his Gi tightly. Rhytid felt a building anxious rage starting to flow through the otherwise calm stream that was his body, intensifying his heartrate heavily. He took a deep breath, quickly suppressing his building emotions.
''One of our Caste Leaders, and current ruler of Namek, declared war on the Saiyan Empire. Xylo, is his name.' Rhytid paused for a moment, moving his eyes toward Gaivahros. The Namekian held a serious, concerned gaze.
''...You might have heard of him. He's starting to become quite popular with the rest of the galaxy.''

The Namekian was proud of his planet, of his race, of his heritage. Gaivahros could respect his patriotism, and perhaps the fact that this man would readily give his life for all of it. As Rhytid spoke, the shrouded Heran contemplated upon his words. He himself had no real sense of patriotism to his own world—he hadn't even set foot on it, met its people, looked at its skies, or anything of the sort. He had only been able to gaze upon its celestial body from afar, to watch its brown-orange surface from the asteroid he lived on.
He had nearly missed the invitation to make himself at home on this planet, jumping suddenly as he turned back to face the warrior. "Oh! Right… Thanks," he replied in a half-attentive state, "I think I'll take you up on that offer."
There was a momentary pause between the two of them, and Gaivahros watched his acquaintance with concern. His once confident, prideful expression shifted into a grimace of surprise, and then retention. He had declined the Heran's offer, citing his lack of strength, which made the Heran smirk a little from under his shroud. He continued to listen, however, gleaming what information he could on the situation. It sounded dire indeed.
Gaivahros knelt down, his hand reaching for a small oval-shaped rock and picking it up. "Sorry, can't say I've heard of this 'Xylo' person," he responded as he stood up straight. He turned towards the ocean and, with a flick of his arm and wrist, dashed the rock against the surface, making light splashing noises as it skipped along the water at a fast pace. "The Saiyan Empire, however… That I know of. I was only just recently on Vegeta, after all."
Perhaps mentioning of his prior residence wasn't the greatest idea, so the Heran thought to himself; he didn't want Rhytid to get the wrong idea. "Don't get me wrong—I'm not with the Saiyan Empire. That was just a pit stop too. Or, rather… a strategic crash landing. The ship had taken a bit of a beating while I was travelling."
His mind began to wander. He let out a sigh before making his way to the shuttle. "I've heard from the grape vine that the Saiyans were at war with someone or something. It turns out that they're at war with you guys—or rather, a certain lot of you. It seems like I'm riding on the coattails of this conflict, what with moving from Vegeta to this place… so, whether you or I like it or not, it looks like I'm gonna get caught up in it. The only choice I have right now… is to pick a side. I'd rather have one enemy than two, y'know?
"So… What'll it be? You want my help?"

Well, atleast Gaivahros was willing to stick around for a while. It warmed him a little, but not by much. Atleast someone would be able to enjoy the calm scenery of Namek for now- however long it would still last. Maybe Rhytid should consider cherishing these moments a little more as well- as they could very well be his last.
He tried to shake away the somber thoughts, moving his head to see Gai pick up a small stone. A curious brow widened as he spoke of not knowing Xylo's name- odd, as it seemed the entire universe was just about ready to knock his skull in. ''Maybe that's for the best.'' Rhytid chuckled a bit, unsure why he saw humor in it. Truth be told, he didn't really know what to think about the Mazoku Lord anymore. They'd finally met, and he honestly didn't seem like that wrong a person...
...Was he really evil? Or merely trying to make his race independant in what could be considered a heroic act?
Rhytid sighed out. He didn't really want to think about it, these conflicting thoughts would only make it more difficult to protect what he loved.
Suddenly, Gaivahros said something that nearly made Rhytid jump! ''V-Vegeta?!'' His sights snapped to who he assumed to be an innocent traveler- had he been lying all along?! Rhytid's gaze twisted into a concerned, suspicious glare- but then came the explanation.
''O-Oh.'' The Namekian muttered, before letting out a sigh of relief. ''...Sorry about that- we've kind of been on high alert regarding anything Saiyan-Empire related...'' Rhytid cleared his throat, feeling a tad embarassed by his sudden outburst.
He watched Gaivahros walk over to his ship, only now really getting the attention of Rhytid. Being the traditional Namekian he was, Rhytid has had little to no interaction with any sort of technology- the entire concept seemed foreign to him. Curious eyes more or less scanned the weird contraption, letting out a curious hum before listening to Gai's words.
Rhytid listened intently, needing a few moments to ponder Gaivahros' offer. The Namekian brought a lazily closed hand to his mouth, and hummed into it. Patches of guilt still blotted his mind. If he were to accept, he'd never be able to forgive himself if something were to happen to him- but then again...
...He DID speak the truth. Like it or not, outsiders would get involved somehow.
After moments of quiet thought, Rhytid lowered his arm, and nodded. ''Okay.'' He let out. ''You're right, Gai. There's simply some things you can't help- and outsiders are going to get involved in this battle one way or another.'' Rhytid spoke, although still holding a shred of guilt in his tone. ''I just hoped I wouldn't have to drag you into this mess, but if you truly insist...'' The Namekian hummed for a moment, before raising his gaze to meet eyes with Gaivahros. ''Consider yourself a formal ally of the Warrior Caste from now on!'' Rhytid forced some positivity into the conversation, raising his voice with a proud smile crossing his face.
Yet, there was still one thing he wanted to make brutally clear...
''But, Gai...Be warned.'' The Warrior's voice became lower- more ominous. ''These enemies are unlike anything you can imagine. Super Saiyans capable of destroying planets with their raw might- they're true monsters.'' Rhytid's tone continued to become more and more intimidating, really hammering in the facts he sprawled out. Yet, in reality, Rhytid was merely testing him!
''So, tell me this...'' The Namekian suddenly cracked an eager grin, crossing his arms with a proud posture. He raised a curious brow at the Heran, grin only widening as he spoke.
''...Just how confident are you in your abilities?''

Yeah, the Heran could have guessed that Rhytid was going to freak out as soon as he had mentioned Vegeta. He couldn't blame the guy, though, what with war coming upon the horizon at any time. Even though he had not spent more than a few minutes on this planet, Gaivahros could feel the tension, something palpable that he could cut through with a knife. If that was how he was feeling, then it was any wonder how the Namekian felt—and how long have they felt like this? He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, leaving that, and other questions, for another time.
Hopping up onto the hull of the shuttle, Gaivahros took a seat at the nose of it and looked out beyond the island. His eyes scanned from right to left, catching the view of the land, the trees, the sky, the plains. He had wondered why he felt to enamoured with this place; as beautiful as it was, he scarcely had a reason to have some connection to it. But the thought came to him—will it last? With the prospect of war coming to Namek, would this beauty remain a beauty? How much of this place would be left standing when the fires are gone and a flag is raised in victory?
Perhaps Rhytid had the same feelings. Perhaps that was why he had changed his mind on letting an outsider join, coupled with the Heran's own reasoning. A smirk spread across Gaivahros' obscured lips as he listened to the warrior, watching them and finally hearing acceptance of his help. Not only that, but he was even cordially invited as an ally of their Warrior Caste.
"Glad you finally saw reason!" spoke Gaivahros, his tone a hint of smarminess, yet he was appreciative that he would be given the opportunity to fight for a cause. He just hoped that whatever side he was fighting on was the right side. "I mean… I am the saviour of hope, y'know." The man didn't intend for himself to appear as smug or boastful, but it wasn't as though Rhytid knew what he was referring to.
But his attitude and disposition became sober as the Namekian continued. Gaivahros had no experience or knowledge when it came to fighters so powerful and destructive. His attention piqued at the notion of warriors able to destroy planets with power alone. It was like hearing something out of one of those Earth anime cartoon shows that he had taken to watching back home. For all that he knew, that's all it was—fiction. Fantasy. Make-belief. The very thought of such God-like beings made the Heran pause and contemplate. But, at the same time, it also made his blood boil, made him excited.
If such things were possible, then what was to stop him from achieving such greatness in his own right?
His head turned to Rhytid, and emerald eyes shifted in their sockets, peering out from behind the bangs of hair that framed his pale blue face. He posed a good question: how confident was he in his abilities? The answer wasn't a hard one.
"Hey, I'll have you know that I was the strongest fighter back on my home pla—uh… my home asteroid," he responded, catching his words briefly. "Okay, granted, I was the only fighter on my home asteroid, but that still counts for something, right?" He pushed himself off of the nose of the shuttle and back onto solid ground. He gazed straight towards the warrior in front of him, eyes locked upon the other with no intention of turning away. "But to answer your question: very."

The Namekian couldn't help but let out a quiet 'hmpf' at Gaivahros' most likely self-proclaimed nickname. ''Saviour of Hope''...Rhytid wasn't sure whether to playfully scoff at what must've been a joke, or actually commend the guy for even wanting to call himself something like that. Surely it must've had a reason, right?
It seemed that Rhytid's purposefully intimidating words didn't really do anything to scare Gai- if anything, Rhytid saw a hidden passion start to burn deep inside of those eyes. He'd know, it reminded him a lot of himself. That same passion for martial arts, and to see just how far you could push yourself- one of the things Rhytid respected most in fellow warriors.
But then Gaivahros said something that surprised him even more! ''Oh?'' Rhytid smirked- strongest fighter, eh? For a brief moment, the Namekian started to get excited, but that excitement quickly fell flat on its face when Gai corrected his words. ''Oh.''
Gaivahros locked eyes with Rhytid, and sure enough, there was that same passion and determination. The eyes of a man who would fight to the bitter end, without a shred of fear or doubt within him- A true warrior. His words made Rhytid crack a confident grin, and he nodded toward the Heran. ''That's exactly what I was hoping to hear!'' Rhytid let out with a positive chuckle.
His arms crossed briefly, curiosity rising as to what else Gaivahros had in store. Surely all of that confidence must have a reason, right? ''So, what do you say we put that confidence of yours to the test, 'Saviour'? It's been a while since I found a fighter who's passion for combat rivals my own.'' Rhytid tilted his head to the side as he forwarded the challenge, his tone one of slight, friendly mockery.
''Orrrr-'' Rhytid quickly muttered, body twisting to the side as Rhytid's gaze locked onto the grasslands behind him, where he initially came from. ''Or we could swing by my village. Pretty sure my Caste would love to meet someone like you.'' The Namekian pondered the thought for a moment, standing there as if on pause.
Eventually the Namekian simply shrugged, and turned back to face Gaivahros. ''I'll let you choose,'' Rhytid said, before cracking a friendly smirk. ''You are the guest here, after all.''

A tight grin could been seen just under the Heran's cloak as his head reclined back, gazing over his shoulder as he saw the smirk on the Namekian's lips. It was only for a brief moment, with Gaivahros turning back to face Rhytid once more. He placed his hands behind his back, and lashed out into the space between them with a trio of fast kicks, one low, one mid, and one high. But the show-off warrior's expression dropped almost as far as the enthusiasm of the Namekian's second 'oh'.
"Hey, c'mon," spoke Gaivahros as he kept his leg in the air at a high angle. His arms loosened from behind his back and folded across his chest. He let out a retired sigh. "Yeah, okay, so I didn't really have any peers to compare with, but I am still strong in my own right. Well, against machines, anyway…"
It didn't take too long for the Namekian to regain some semblance of positivity. He was glad of the words that Gaivahros had spoken, though perhaps he had overestimated the Heran's purpose. In any case, it would serve as the foundation for their 'working' relationship.
Gaivahros' leg lowered back onto the ground as he listened to his acquaintance's proposal. The thought of combat made his heart race, and passion began to surge through his veins. He had only ever fought against machines—opponents who could only follow a series of instructions that had trouble adapting to situations beyond fundamental parameters. Against a living being? That could prove to be a new challenge for him, and one he had no hesitation of rising to.
On the other hand, a more peaceful, social choice was giving. With a chuckle and a shrug, Gaivahros replied, "I quite like both. We can have a little spar, and then we can swing by to your place. Maybe you can tell everyone about my power, too." His voice was calm, yet confident with a slight tinge of arrogance on the tip of his tongue. "So, since I'm the honorary guest… let's work up a sweat."
Long, black-panted legs spread apart one in front of the other, knees bent and hunkered low. The fighter's right arm extended outwards straight, palm pointed towards his opponent. His left arm sat low, jutted out just in front of his waist. This was one of the stances of Gaivahros' Mushou-Ryuu style, the 'wide guard'.
A light surge of ki poured from around the Heran's body. His clothes and cape fluttered and danced under the pressure, as did the grass around him. His eyes shifted from their usual careless, relaxed expression to a sharp glare of focus and seriousness. "Are you prepared?"

''Oh I'll be sure to tell eeeveryone.'' Rhytid rolled his head as he spoke, cracking his neck afterwards with a low snicker. The Namekian easily picked up on the Heran's humble bragging- not that he complained, it was always good to have some amount of confidence. But, seeing as Rhytid possessed this same arrogant confidence, he wasn't afraid to show this newcomer who's boss.
The Namekian shrugged playfully. ''Not gonna lie, I'm pretty curious about just how skilled you are-'' He said with a slight eagerness to his tone, ''You know, considering you've only been fighting hunks of metal.'' Rhytid's head tilted downwards ever so slightly, an intimidating smirk stretching on his face. ''Let's see how you fare against a real opponent!''
As Gaivahros switched into his fighting stance, Rhytid continued to just...Stand there, very arrogantly, one might say. In truth, he was inspecting Gaivahros' stance, as someone's fighting stance said a lot about their style. His was nothing too out of the ordinary, but for someone that had only been fighting robots, Rhytid couldn't help but mentally commend him for his apparent knowledge.
A faint iota of Ki fired up from Gaivahros' body, and with it came words that could only make Rhytid laugh in response!
''Ha! Prepared?!'' He let out amusedly, finally taking the effort to free his arms. ''Please! I was born into a clan of skilled Martial Artists, what do you think?'' Rhytid bragged against the newcomer. Anyone that had a semblance of people skills would know it was just harmless banter- but you never know. Not that Rhytid cared, though, he just wanted to fight!
In a swift motion, Rhytid flexed his arms, clenching his hands into tight fists. The Namekian took a deep breath, before suddenly letting out a loud bellow!
''HUAAAAAAAAAA!!''
Ki blasted from his body like a heavy storm, cracking the ground beneath him and kicking up waves of dust! An aura of pure, intense white circled Rhytid's body like a whirlwind, holding a hint of powerful Dragon Caste magic! This was the gift Rhytid had received from his Guru, now on full display!
Rhytid's eyes gazed through the transluscent aura, filled with amusement. ''...Are you prepared?''
Not even waiting for the Heran's anwser, Rhytid's body would spring to action, blasting toward Gaivahros at ridiculous speeds! Once in range, he'd lash out against Gaivahros with a powerful strike from his right fist, before transitioning that momentum into spin, extending a leg to hit Gaivahros on the head with a fierce kick from above!
The battle begins!

The man's stance was stable and unflinching. No muscle in his body twitched, and not even his eyes shook and glanced off from their target. Even as the Namekian continued his confident and snarky charade, the Heran remained steadfast—the time for jokes and humour was, at this moment, done. Only the thoughts of combat filled his mind and would move his body. He had no choice; this was a real opponent he was facing. He had to be ready for anything.
Gaivahros allowed a small smirk to spread across his shrouded lips as he listened to Rhytid. The green one offered words of half-encouragement, so it felt, as they voiced their desire to test the Heran's strength. Gaivahros could something brewing from deep inside of him. It was like a numbing sensation that made his heart skip and beat and his lungs miss a breath, and yet in a split second he felt the adrenaline rush through his veins. It wasn't like anything he had felt before.
The feeling of a true fight, perhaps.
A surge of energy erupted from the Namekian, a blast of power erupting from his body and creating a veil of dust from around them. A white aura, something that Gaivahros had not seen before besides his own, enveloped their body like a shroud. Between the two of them, it was any wonder how there was any landscape between them with the amount of force permeating from the duo.
Before the Heran could even reply to Rhytid's rhetoric, he had already closed the gap between them. A fierce hook came from the Namekian, a punch aimed for Gaivahros' head. The wide guard was useful for this moment, the extended right hand parrying and pushing the fist down and away to his side. With the spin of their momentum, Rhytid continued with a spinning kick. Gaivahros had the same plan of action.
A thunderous boom and shockwave ruptured as flesh and muscle and bone collided, with both legs locked against opposing forces. Earth and grass tore from the plain below them, exploding and scattering all around them and dashed into the winds. Subtle thuds rung out as bits of dirt and rock collided with the hull of Gaivahros' shuttle. For the moment, the warriors were evenly matched.
"Impressive," the cloaked warrior muttered to himself, barely audible amongst the noise. His extended leg shifted away from his opponent's and lashed out twice—one low, aiming to take out the Namekian's back leg; and again mid, to either strike at their head should they be taken down to one knee, or to their chest should they remain standing.

Powerful legs crashed into one another with a mighty clash! Grass and dirt tore from the ground, flung into the air mercilessly by the sheer might oozing from the two! Rhytid's leg buckled under the strength of Gaivahros', not expecting the Heran to go against him THIS evenly...!
''Not too shabby yourself, I'll admit...'' Rhytid replied calmly, his voice too drowned out by the chaotic noises that circled them. The pressure was lifted from Rhytid's leg, signalling that Gai was up to something. His gaze twitched, following the movements of the Heran's leg closely as he tried to stabilize himself. Just a fraction too late to dodge, Gaivahros' leg slammed into the back of Rhytid's knee, forcing him down!
For a moment, his senses seemed to peak- time slowing down, as it were. When the second leg came, Rhytid's instincts took over, not fighting against the momentum pulling him downwards, but outright accepting it! Rhytid flung himself backwards, just barely holding himself up a mere inch from the ground as the second kick sweeped over him, the wind howling in his ears.
A faint grin crossed his face, hiding the cold, nervous sweat running down his forehead. Perhaps he was wrong in underestimating this newcomer!
Rhytid rolled backwards to stand up straight again, planting a foot deep into the ground as his body stabilized. Kicking off in a dazzling burst of speed, the ground tore under his might, the very air cracking as he dashed right towards Gaivahros!
''HHAAA!''
Rhytid let out a confident shout as he extended his right knee with all the force he could muster, aiming to crash it straight into Gai's chest! Should the attack connect, Rhytid would immediately follow up with a swift upwards kick with his other leg, aiming to punt Gaivahros right on the chin and send him flying far away!

The Heran watched as his opponent was sent hurling backwards, his kicks landing on their marks, though the second one was a close quarter. A wry grin spread across obscured lips, wondering if this was what the Namekian wanted out of him. He said that he was skilled, and he was showing them how much. They even took the time to praise the blue-skinned warrior for his finesse. But for whatever confidence Gaivahros had, he had let his guard down for a moment too much. His opponent was agile and quick, springing off of his feet with a knee outstretched like a battering ram. Panicked, the Heran crossed his arms across his chest, the knee striking against fortified forearms. A sharp pain shot through his limbs, something akin to an electric shock. Numbness followed, both in his arms and the rest of his upper extremities. His mind went blank, and vision blurred. It was enough for Rhytid to catch his opponent off guard, following with a powerful axe kick. The top of his foot smashed into his opponent's chin, snapping his neck back and sending him flying up and back. A moment of pain flooded the Heran's senses. He could feel his brain collide against the back of his skull, and his eyes roll in their sockets. Blurred vision became more so. The numbness of his body disappeared as quick as it was inflicted, and he was left staring up at the sky. Vision cleared slowly, and he was greeted with the thin strands of cloud and verdant skies. The pain had subsided, but he let his body drift a moment longer. This planet was beautiful, he thought to himself. If he was to protect it as best he could, he'd have to do better. Gaivahros flipped backwards and spread his arms and legs wide, stopping himself in mid air. He looked down at the Namekian below, looked down at the landscape, looked down at the waters. With a deep breath and an exhale, he relaxed his body. A blue hand reached into his pants and pulled out his device. His thumb scrolled through a list before tapping on the name of something. Placing it back in his pocket, his hands then reached for the ear buds and put them in. "Okay… Serious time now."Without a pause longer he sped down at his opponent, the sudden speed caused a boom in the air. He reared back his right hand, aiming to strike at Rhytid head as he got close. But when he got within a foot of him, he disappeared; the attack was merely a feint. Using his speed to get behind the Namekian, he aimed to drive the point of his left elbow into the lower of his back. Should it connect, he would turn and thrust both palm out to strike him and force him away.

His knee crashed into the Heran with a dull boom, rupturing the very air around them under its might! Gaivahros looked dazed for that slight moment, and Rhytid quickly took advantage of it, sending another powerful attack right at the Heran! His kick landed squarely against the tip of Gaivahros' chin, sending the newcomer careening back like a speeding bullet.
Setting his feet back down on the ground, Rhytid looked up at the Heran, who simply drifted there. A brief moment of concern struck Rhytid. ''Did...Did I overdo it...?'' He let out inbetween tired gasps for air. Maybe the Namekian was enjoying himself a bit too much, he always had the tendency to get really invested in a battle, often letting his adrenaline take control of his power output.
Not too good of a trait to have when you were one of the strongest people around...
Yet when Gaivahros flipped himself over again, the concern was washed off, and a smirk formed on Rhytid's features once more. ''Hm, ofcourse not! You're tough, Gai, I'll give you that much!'' The Namekian spoke, noticing the serious, burning passion in Gaivahros' gaze. It only made Rhytid more excited, had he finally pushed the Heran enough for him to show his true strength?
The Heran took out a strange device, and put those weird ear-protector things in again. It was faint, but Rhytid could hear what the Heran was listening to. Soft enough to not damage his ears, thankfully. It was so loud...Agressive, vulgar...!
''Holy...THIS is what you outsiders listen to...!?''
Rhytid had never heard anything like it before- and quite honestly, it startled him! Gaivahros dashed at him with intense, brutal resolve, catching Rhytid completely off-guard! The Namekian lashed out with his own fist, attempting to clash with the Heran's own, only to get completely blindsided by the feint! ''He's fast...!'' Rhytid muttered in awe, eyes gazing over his shoulder, meeting right with Gaivahros' own. He tried to turn around in counter, yet he was too late...! 'BHAAMM!!' The Heran's destructive blow crashed straight into Rhytid's spine, forcing the Namekian to lean backwards as he croaked in pain! ''G-GHhaaha!!''
The dazing shock being sent through his body made him unable to react to the next attack. Rhytid was pushed away with a booming shockwave, tumbling and flying far away from the Heran. His body flipped and twisted mid-air like a ragdoll, flying far away from the island the two were on and onto the vast ocean. The water was split under the blinding speed Rhytid was traveling at, until he finally returned to his senses.
With a quick flex of his body, the white aura sprung to life around him once more, and his momentum halted completely. Hovering just a few inches above the ocean, the waters rippled under the power oozing from his body. Rhytid was panting heavily, body bruised and mouth bleeding, yet his gaze didn't waver. ''...Maybe it's about time I take this seriously as well.'' His voice was low and stern. No longer did it have that playful arrogance to it...Rhytid now realized he couldn't joke around. Friendly spar or not, he was NOT looking forward to losing.
The Namekian breathed in deeply, bringing up both arms infront of him in a cross. After a slight pause, his muscles bulged, quaking in rapidly building strength! Rhytid freed his arms, holding them at his sides as the veins in his arms and head started protruding out of the skin. With it came a mighty roar, accompanied by a burning, white aura that only continued to grow in size!
''HaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!''
Rhytid is charging [MP3]Ultra Destruction Wave! This turn at 100%, next turn at 200%!

The Heran remained still as the attacks connected. He felt a surge of energy through his hands and arms as soon as the last hit connected. It was strange, like a tingling sensation, and then one of cooling. It had been the first time ever that Gaivahros had had to exert as much strength as he did. He couldn't even remember the last time he had to take fighting as seriously as he did now. But whatever it was, it felt good. He wanted more of it. He needed more of it. He watched as the Namekian stood up once more, getting over the pain as quick as he did. Once more that bright white aura flared around them, sending a wave of rippling air and humming sounds about him. The pressure was never dull for a moment, not even after the beating that they had taken from the shrouded warrior. He truly lived up to his title as leader of the Warrior Caste. Gaivahros lowered his arms and stood up straight. He smirked under the cloak and gave a light chuckle. "As tough as I am, you're not too shabby yourself. Although…" His expression became stern and focused once more. "I'm still aware that you've yet to tap into your full power. As much as this is a friendly sparring match…" His body shifted once more, hands held up and legs apart as he returned to his wide guard. His grin returned as he heard the Namekian talk about getting serious. The Heran hadn't the need to ask after all. But the confident, lackadaisical demeanour of the Heran soon dropped as the Namekian began to charge up power. He could feel something swelling inside Rhytid, a force that he had yet to encounter before. It made him lose focus, and even panic a little. This power was indescribable. if this was what his opponent could do, then exactly what could the people this guy was afraid of could do? Loose fingers clenched into tight fists. Arm and leg muscles tensed as he shifted his legs once more, one foot in front of the other and standing straight. A surge of energy began to flow from his body and pool into his right fist. His fingers uncurled, and the energy ran along and between his fingers, forming into a small yet dense sphere in his palm. Emerald green eyes narrowed and glared at the Namekian before them. A sudden surge of ki blasted outwards from him, causing his hair to shimmer a slight shine of white and waver in the air, his bangs splayed out to the sides of his face. " ♪I'll dot your eyes and cross your fuckin' T! Bring it!♫"Lightning speed erupted from the Heran as he dashed towards Rhytid, hand tucked by his side. As he got close, he thrust his open palm towards his opponent's head. He had to act quick before the Namekian could do whatever it was he was about to do. Should the attack connect, the orb would detonate like a grenade and explode outwards from the Heran's palm. "Force Palm!"
