Night had been approaching the recovering world of the Annexed Arcose. Civilians were attempting to find a place of rest, still recovering from the attack of the SSE's soldiers, who only numbered 2. Those in the forces of the Arcosian Empire had seen it as a reminder that they were still being toyed with, even with that planet having been revived through mysterious methods that only Koldar knew of, yet he couldn't elaborate on. Supreme Commander Koldar, himself, didn't understand how it happened and he saw it be done! However, he was far from wondering how that happened, as he had been preoccupied in trying to find people who could be good for the Arcosian-Mazoku alliance, to serve in the Arcosian part of things.
The Supreme Commander had chosen to announce that he, his Chancellor and right hand man Voca would be committing to open tests at about this time in the plains outside of the city! These tests, as he would explain, would be strenuous and test the resolve of those who came to take them. So far, after a couple hours of this, none had passed with outstanding marks and thus dubbed them as mere foot soldiers. Most of those who came were of other races, thinking that they could show up and be able to get ranked easily! Yet, the tests ran by Voca, alone, showed them that they were far too weak at the moment.
Koldar had been taking a rest in a medical tent that was keeping the wind outside, so that those who were drastically tired could recover quicker in here. They were set up to take care of more minor injuries, like cuts and sprains, but in the case of those who'd busted their bones or got nasty gashes, there was an emergency section for them. Thankfully, that wasn't being used yet! Koldar was telling the soldiers in there of the things they were going to be experiencing on the battlefield, which goaded for some intense expressions.
"The Solar Saiyan Empire is not to be trifled with," Koldar stated, having rounded up an explanation of their strength compared to them being greatly different, in favor of the SSE, "In order for us to catch up to them, we must be looking to improve all aspects, physically and mentally, about yourselves. These tests aren't going to be letting up anytime soon, as they're more designed to be training regimen. Be sure to get food in the tent next door! It's not much, but it'll be good to warm your bellies before going to bed tonight. Tomorrow, you'll be getting going through this again at the break of dawn. For those of you who're still being made to recover, you'll be given something else to do, so that you're more prepared!"
With that, Koldar walked out of the tent, leaving the troops inside feeling rather bleak! Voca, meanwhile, had been sitting around a rather large campfire, smiles being put on the soldiers faces. Whatever the Heran had been saying to them, it seemed to have been doing good for the spirits there! Koldar took a seat right by him, some of the soldiers in training being put on alert and standing up! Koldar waved his hand, telling them, "At ease, at ease... Voca, I think the soldiers in the medical tent could use some cheering up."
"Why's that," the Heran asked.
Grimacing at the question and looking to the right, then being behind him from that direction. He spoke through his teeth, speaking honestly, "I may have been a bit too straight forward there without any real... Uplifting words..."
"... Koldar, you suck at talking at times," Voca bluntly put it, closing his eyes as he stated that! The old Arcosian could only rub his head and smile half-heartedly with a very forced laugh before agreeing. The Chancellor pinched the bridge of his nose, before standing up and stating, "Alright, I'll go talk with them all and-"
"They'll be fine for now," Koldar interjected, having a seat next to where Voca was sitting on a large metal bench and patting the Heran's spot, "Come, catch me up on what you lot have been doing out here!"
"If you insist... So, do you remember about five years ago, before everything went to hell and we were at the Aoi Brenchia, handling those negotiations with some Earth businessman?"
"Which time?"
"At that pub they got set up. With the Kurimu-Seijinn guy!"
Koldar's expression went into a deadpan leer, as he questioned immediately, "Yeeeees.... Why?"
"Well, I was telling the guys around here about how you and that guy got into a drinking contest, and how you ended up getting so drunk that you..."
Koldar started pointing both hands at him as Voca explained further on the story, trying to deny what was being said! An uproar of laughter was had from this campfire, as what seemed like a night coming to an end... Yet there was still time for something to happen over this field of resting and recovery trainees that Koldar and Voca were in the center of!
