Ard looked upon the scene with a dejected look on his face. It was then when the most "normal-looking" of those gathered joined him, placing a hand on his shoulder. It was Articho, though Ardaran didn't catch his name. He asked to see his sword. While Ard would normally reject such a request out of hand, he had begun to rethink many things. This guy didn't seem so bad. On top of that, Ard began to wonder whether or not he even had the right to deny someone the permission to hold the weapon. With a sigh, Ard pulled the blade out of its scabbard and flipped it around, offering it to the hybrid in front of him.
Once the man took it, he did something Ard did not expect; with a simple tap, he fixed it. Once Ard took the sword back, he looked the blade over. It was like it never happened. "I... I don't know what to say." Ard said in a low voice. Articho then began to speak to him. He told the young guardian not to let what the redhead said get to him. That was much harder than it sounded. Ardaran's confidence was already shaken due to what had happened in recent weeks. Then after the android stopped his sword so easily, then dented it... the last few stones his wall of confidence had left were threatening to crumble.
Thankfully, Articho was here to give him a pep talk. He told him that strength was earned. The oldest rule in the book and one Ard forgot after he picked up this sword. He foolishly thought that the blade would make him stronger. Ard still believed the legend, but he knew now what he had to do. He had to get stronger. If he wasn't worthy enough to wield the blade now, he would prove that he COULD become worthy. With a nod, the emerald-haired Konatsian looked over at Articho, a small smile forming on his face. "Yes. It makes perfect sense. Thank you, my friend. I forget myself." Ard spun his sword around once before placing it back in the scabbard. "So, do you know who that is?" Ard asked, pointing to Wyntre. Speaking of Wyntre, Ard was shocked as he felt her power rising. 'She can... she can get stronger!?'
As her power reached its peak, the guardian felt his senses becoming overwhelmed. He could barely sense the others through all the energy coming from the regal Changeling. He hadn't sensed anything like that before. Not even close. 'Incredible! If we had such power on our side back then...'

Hearing Arti speak up towards her about the electric shock, she sighed as maybe she was still not the best at holding in her sarcasm. Looking up at him, she was about to say something, but was rudely interrupted by her own pink haired friend who pointed at Articho while rummaging through his pockets. He held onto a certain little trinket because it was a reminder of how much he had saved Vivian, pulling out what looked like a burnt wire of sorts.
"Yeah, man, she reeeeally has good reason to be salty about that," The youngin' said, scratching the back of his head while showing off the burnt wire, "This cost me a lot of time to replace cause of you overloading the systems, AND forcing me to pay even more money for proper insulation to prevent this from happening. Though Vivian has much more sophistication going in her as she was built as opposed to you, but in the end she's still just nuts and bolts."
Rolling her own orbital spheres once more, she turned attention to Wyntre who was dealing with Contagion... And hooooolllllyyyyyy shit. Yeah, with how angry this arcosian lady was getting at Contagion, if this kept on going it could actually put the slime lord in a very horrid position. With how much talk and game that her friend put into stock of his own plans, he was acting rather horridly and without any tact, going on a genocide for the pettiest of reasons. Seeing that it was time to end it, she started building up some energy to put down Contagion, at least enough to knock him the hell out.
What surprised her was that Wyntre calmed down enough to actually inquire about storage of Contagion, at least until they got to Earth. Well, more specifically if they could handle him. Knowing Contagion, she could only smirk as she boldly claimed, "Girl, I gotchyu fam. I can handle him, especially with the help of Panzie over here. Plus, just so he can't spout more gobbledygook at us..."
Holding out her hand, she let her own energy manifest an over-sized boomerang, the size of an actual person's bent arm. Pulling her own arm back, she threw forth the over-sized digital boomerang towards Contagion, the big thing just spinning in the air towards the Ex-chancellor of SCAR. It definitely didn't have any killing force behind it, just enough to bop him enough to knock him unconscious. And if he dodged it because he's being a big fat slimy dummy... Well, hopefully he hasn't lost his mind to do that.

The sludge like creature moved around the attack as it neared him and Chili only watched wide eyed as Wyntre followed it with a power up. It seemed like this thing wasn’t any match for her, and with how lax the rest of the attendees got Chili wondered why he still felt tension in the air. Articho was focused on aiding the guardsman and Red seemed to be waiting her turn, but the young pup listened to what the two regal types had to say. When Contagion’s eyes drew upon the Galactic Patrolman a twinge of panic wrestled within him, they glowered with intensity and they threatened him. His tail dipped and he began to shiver, and he almost flew from the palace until the arcosian interjected. She seemed pretty positive that Xylo, a name Chili had been hearing, was not as hot as he seemed. There had been a few reports of this creature’s wake and quick takeover of Namek. Though it wasn’t the Galactic Patrol’s position to usurp power, but to protect those from it. Chili jumped in right after Wyntre as the shade of his cap hid the top half of his face, only his dark pupils striking back at the monster Contagion. “ Nobody owns it! No matter what you think there is always going to be someone looking to keep the spirit of justice… and freedom alive” his eyes narrowed “ But no I’m not even close to the strongest… and neither are you.” The dog smirking as Wyntre confirmed with the BBA agent that they would contain this creature.

Contagion continued to laugh as everything came to a head around him. Even though his plan had been a magnificent failure he had gained some incredibly valuable insight into the people that had come gathered. Insights that were FAR more valuable than some petty revenge. He turned his numerous eyes unto Wyntre as she reached what he assumed was the peak of her power and he only let out another few snickers. These snickers turned into another fit of laughter as Chili made the bold claim of keeping 'justice and freedom alive.' "Justice? Freedom? Leave it to a sentimental pup to be a comedian!" He wouldn't go into HIS ideals for they'd be wasted upon ignorant ears. Also, he knew his time was short as he watched Vivian as she readied to attack. He instead decided to use his last remaining moments more 'productively' by having his attention fixated on the woman he mockingly called 'mother.' The ivory beast crossed his arms as he let out a multi-tonal hiss of disgust. "I have laughed in the face of gods, you fail to intimidate me." He flatly hissed, waving one of his tendrils in a threatening manner to both Wyntre and Chili as he thought back to their dramatic claims. "You are both but trifling ripples in the sea of power that surrounds all of us, something you are plainly aware of." He jeered, his chest maw physically spitting a glob of dark green mucus unto the ground before Wyntre as he turned his focus squarely on her. "Yet, you continue to doubt me and my capabilities by assuming I'm a simpleton." He concluded with another manic chortle. He felt a genuine amusement by her ignorance and an absolute disgust from her arrogance. "How many words did you waste in your little display? You could have spared all of our time by admitting that you're a coward from the beginning but you had to try and paint it in a light that made you seem noble." He scoffed, one of his many eye clusters looking to the oncoming boomerang though his body seemed to make no effort to move. "Your self righteousness can only keep you so deluded. I'm sure those delusions provide plenty of warmth as you cower in your gravity chamber however." In an instant: Vivian's attack would ring true but in that very instant Contagion stared upon Wyntre and made a single promise. "When reality crushes the walls you've built around yourself: I promise I'll be there to laugh." If he had a mouth that could smile he'd be grinning from ear to ear but the sadistic glint in his eye would have to suffice. There was nothing more to be said. The crack of man's weapon hitting flesh echoed outward in the ruined halls of Konats. Contagion fell back unto the ground. His void-like eyes narrowed as he gave Wyntre a knowing look. The game was far from over. He'd find a way to slither back on top and he would keep his promise. He wasn't one to leave such things unfulfilled.
Contagion has been knocked out! I'll take Zeni please!

Articho's expression changed from a smirk to a overly exaggerated pained expression as he clutched at his chest dramatically. "Ah, my pride! How shall I ever recover from such a grevious insult, coupled with my crushing guilt over hurting this poor, innocent robot?" he said in a faux sympathetic tone. After a moment's pause he looked back up at Vivian and her friend, smirking once again. "Doesn't sound too sophisticated to me, given how easy it is to break her. Maybe, and this is just a thought, she should have been built better in the first place, then it wouldn't have happened at all. I've seen toasters withstand heavier shocks than the one I gave her. And compared to what I can do, that little shock is like a bug bite." The hybrid flashed a quick confident grin before turning away from the pair, leaving it almost as a challenge.
Articho looked back to the Konatsian, his expression softening. He gave him a pat on the shoulder and a reassuring nod before looking over to Wyntre as her power began to rise. "That's Wyntre, the former empress of the Arcosian empire," he explained, his smile faded as he sensed her grow in strength. She was pretty damn powerful. If she had gone through with killing the creature, he was certain he'd have a hell of a hard time fighting her off. He watched the short exchange between the creature, Wyntre, and oddly the Galactic Patrolman before Vivian stepped in and knocked it out.
"I guess that concludes negotiations," the hybrid commented. He studied the unconscious body of the creature for a moment. "For something with no mouth, it sure did talk a lot," he quipped before turning to face the hole he'd made in the wall. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna skedaddle out of here since things are all wrapped up. See you all next time there's a sentient goop creature attacking a planet." Articho gave a short wave before taking off into the air and flying back in the direction of his ship.

Post by Wyntre Cold on Jul 30, 2017 11:09:06 GMT
It was one of the laws of the universe that stated that Wyntre Cold must always have the last word.
Truly, this Contagion character was a comedian. Wyntre was paradoxically both amused and enraged by how he nonchalantly ignored the demonstrable truth and disregarded blatant facts. "Oh, you fool, I do not wish to intimidate you, nor have I ever wished so. No, I merely seek to enlighten you. I wish to teach you how stupid you are, how wrong you are, how outclassed you are and how misguided you are. But, alas, you are a fool, a fool who has decided not to listen. A fool who has decided to stay a fool."
She was very glad to know that Vi would be taking the monstrosity somewhere safe. She could only hope that it ended up somewhere where it wouldn't be able to talk to anyone, so it wouldn't be able to lower the average IQ in the room so harshly. "I'm not assuming that you are a simpleton. By now you have already given us all an abundance of evidence demonstrating that you are, in fact, a simpleton. Yes, I am aware that I am not a particularly powerful individual when compared with the most powerful entities in existence, but you seem to not be able to be aware of even the possibility of increasing one's power. You delude yourself by telling yourself that I am only hiding in my Gravity Chamber because I am afraid of facing my enemies, giving the indication that you have absolutely no idea as to what Gravity Chambers even do." It made her sick, very sick. It felt disgraceful knowing that this idiot was, in some way, even very vaguely on the same side as she (as per the Arcosian-Mazoku Alliance). "I will be powerful enough to bring back righteousness. I will be powerful enough to bring back peace to the Arcosian Empire. I will be powerful enough to defeat the warmongering Solar Saiyan menace. Your lethargic and ignorant worldview not only inhibits your understanding of politics, but also simple logic."
It was nice to know that so few were this incomparably incompetent. If the universe had more beings like the creature before her, Wyntre decided, civilisation would collapse before even a word could be uttered. "If I were to 'admit that I am a coward' then that would make me a liar. Again, you have completely disregarded the truth in turn of your own twisted and objectively wrong misguidings; to try now, where there is no hope for victory, is suicide. Suicide is for those who cannot bear to face the horrors of the incompetence of others. Training— and saving lives along the way— both does short-term good and increases my power, power which will go far further than the corpse of an Empress ever could."
There was no further use of her power as it currently was. Certainly, it was a lot, but even a few percent would have been overdoing it. She dropped it down to 100,000PL, a much more modest number.
"It is obvious that your promises mean nothing. But, even so, even this promise will never go so far as to be fulfilled; I have not built walls around myself, or at least certainly not ones that would be damaged by reality. Rather, reality is exactly what I'm counting on to become powerful enough. I have unlocked a new form, a form that grants me power greater than even what you had seen— and, when I unlock it, I will be powerful enough to make a difference."
The attack flew by. Contagion seemed to not even bother resisting, but this was completely understandable... why bother, with such powerful fighters at every turn.
She got a bit closer and lowered her body to get a better look at the shouty pale one. One final look, hopefully. She wasn't entirely sure if he was conscious, unconscious or somewhere in between, but she hoped the message got through in his last moments of consciousness.
"I know the facts. I do what I do in accordance with the facts. Facts are not your friend, however. You make up whatever makes you feel good and then you run with it— that, among countless other things, is what makes you so much worse than everyone and everything else on this planet." And then, finally, it was time for what could possibly be their last words together. "If we ever do meet again, let it be known, you will be contained by the Arcosian Empire— and, from that, there is no escape."
But then, alas, he was gone. Just like that.
People were leaving all around. Without such a threat partially neutralised by herself, an opportunity presented itself. The Konatsian Council had watched the entire ordeal.
She turned her attention to the frightened Konatsians.
"Gentlemen, as I am sure that you are aware, atrocities have been attempted. It was stopped by a kind warrior from afar, a member of the Galactic Patrol, an Earthling robot and Wyntre Cold, ex-Empress of the Arcosian Empire. Keep that in mind. The Galactic Patrol, they'd help everyone and anything, but Earth and Arcose would be valuable allies. Perhaps I will return some day and negotiate certain conditions." Of course, there was no way to know what those sorts of conditions would have been at that point in time, but she reserved the possibility.
She flew directly upwards, giving slight nods to Ardaran, Vi, Articho and Chilli. From there, she would get to her ship, the Valiance. From there? Well, perhaps, from there she'd figure out exactly what in HFIL Zexama was up to.

Just like that, it was over. The brief battle between the former Arcosian Empress and the creepy genocidal demon ended in the victory of the former, the latter sent to the ground, unconscious. He heard that the girl that stopped his attack was going to be taking this creature away. Ardaran was relieved to hear that. He might have had to take Contagion into custody if no one else would. He certainly didn't want that job, nor did he want this monster anywhere near Konats. As Articho indicated that he was going to leave, Ard bowed respectfully before him.
"Safe journey, friend." He looked back at Wyntre and Vivian as Articho made his way out. That was an incredible display. Things might have gone horribly wrong had they and the others not shown up. No, Ard was certain that things definitely WOULD have gone horribly wrong had they not shown up. 'I'm glad they're on our side. Or at least, not against us.' As Wyntre walked out, giving each of them a nod, the emerald-haired warrior looked up at her, giving a slight nod in return. He then looked at Vivan, scowling at her briefly before looking to Chili and giving him a nod of gratitude. 'I need to just leave. It looks like things are starting to wind down.'
With that, Ard turned and ran out of the palace doors, rallying as many men as possible to clear the rubble and search for survivors as well as to look for any bodies and make sure they get a proper burial. Today, his courage was tested and his weaknesses were exposed to him. He had a path forward now. He would become a warrior worthy to defend Konats. He would make sure that when the next time Konats was threatened, he would have the strength to eliminate that threat. On the honor of himself and his ancestors, he swore then that he would become a warrior righteous enough to be Konats' champion.
Ard is attempting to exit the DE! I'll take Zeni please.

And with the deft impact of boomerang on slime, the consciousness of her friend faded. She would have rather done something different than this, but Contagion had to be quite the idiot to pick a fight at such a weak power level. Sure it was different went he had the help of Breech, Zyajin, and herself around, but he was on his lonesome on this venture. And he utterly failed, in every sense of the word. Even she couldn't really agree with what he said, though to be fair she most likely tuned everything else out since it was just oh so utterly dull. But good gods above did Wyntre love to talk. Then one by one, everyone started to make their exit, which meant that it was Vivian's turn to make her exit, stage left. Lifting herself up off of the ground, she strode over to Contagion, picking up his body by the midsection, making sure t hold him a whole arm's length away from her body, because she didn't want to get his goop on her. Shouting out loud, she said to Panzer, "Yo, Panzie, we leavin'!"With an affirmative nod, the pink haired boy followed Vivian off as she walked in the distance, walking as far enough as it took to get away from this group and towards her own ship. A ship that was too small for this trio. But that didn't really matter, as she had her own plans with Contagion. Hopefully no one was moronic to stop her. Sorry this was such a short post, but I lost the original due to a computer crash, and lost all muse to write it out any longer.

Chili’s gaze darkened as he was addressed with ridicule from Contagion, but he swallowed any embarrassment as this was just the creature’s final gasps. With a brow beating from Wyntre and a jab from Arti capped off with a splendid whack to the noggin and the threat had been dealt with. Soon the mishmash of heroes made their exits, and that was when Chili noticed that it really was an assortment of many kinds, highlighted well by the words of the Empress.
As each person left Chili gave them a tip of his mighty red hat, but as for Vivian he watched her leave. She had gotten the strike in and was now taking the attacker into custody, the custody of the BBA for that matter. His eyes lingered as he wondered why he had been so negative when first seeing her. Shaking his head and making his ears flop about as he did so. “I am putting my feelings for Premier Poi first, I can’t just judge the people who work for him for what he’s done.” A clenched paw was pressed to his chest “They have heroes too.”
Finally turning towards the still justifiably bewildered council and addressing them, including the very spectre like one still standing in the same spot. “Councilmen… I shall remain on your planet for the time being, if that is acceptable. I shall also be returning soon to discuss to you the rights of jurisdiction on your planet for the uh Galactic Patrol. Until then.” Tipping his hat once more and heading for the door he came in from “I’ll just close this behind me, okay?” he said with a smile as he pulled them shut once more.
Mirroring the chapter of this tale as closed.
Thread Exit, I shall take PL with a heavy weighted bonus.
