Nabel sighed silently, as he sat by his lonesome in the center of the aged wooden arena, a row of sleeping bums and punch-drunk thugs waiting patiently on the sidelines. None of them seemed particularly interested in the boy at the moment. The outside of the small building that he currently resided in was etched in grime and muck, but the wiring on its neon-lit sign still shone through. "Fight Club is now in session."It had been awhile since the boy had visited the now condemned (thankfully) puppy mill. In fact, it had been over a year ago, just a few days off from the boy's sixteenth. Funnily enough, he had looked, acted and even felt older back then, as it was before he had been aged down into a child, without rhyme or reason. And though his mental and emotional faculties had been severely reduced since then, the abandoned building still roused many memories that the demon would have rather forgotten, when he had undergone his unexpected transformation. Still, it was quite obvious that the facility still housed the same hidden arenas that were the catalyst for the demonic dwarf's numerous scars and stitches. And given the freshness of the sign, it meant that many aspiring fighters still used these old services. What was once used for dog-fighting had transformed into a cockpit for louts. And though Nabel was doing his best to become a legitimate member of the fighting community, bum fights were still the easiest way for the boy to get some practice in. The life of a starving martial artist wasn't the most glamorous. Nor was it the most rewarding, especially not in the monetary sense. But for the one-armed, single-eyed amalgamation of evil, it was the only path that would satisfy him. So with that in mind, he took a sip of his pocket whiskey, and continued to wait for a challenger to finally enter through the rickety doors. There had to be someone willing to fight him, right?

Nabel - No Weights Equipped - Cloud's BP (And Current BP): 3500
Cloud walked aimlessly through the giant city with no real purpose. The humans stared at him and gossiped behind his back. Cloud knew why, it was because of his tail. Cloud was simply annoyed at how humans simply judge a book by a cover. Just because he had a tail doesn't mean he's a monster, thought Cloud. He would immediately destroy them all but he was smarter than that. He knew there were many strong humans or aliens trying to protect humanity...for some reason. Speaking of strong opponents, he was trying to find one. After losing a certain someone, he really had no use for fighting....or living. He just found it amusing. While he was walking by building to building he saw one that caught his eye. Not the building itself, but the horned creature within it. It looked strong enough. The building was worn out, filled with dust and muck. It seemed like some kind of dog fighting club. He was curious at the horned creature...or was it a demon? Cloud was unsure but wanted to see who it was. Cloud thought, "Maybe he'll be a challenge, or benefit me, who knows?" He walked himself in and with each footstep, the wooden floor cracked little by little. "Shit he must've heard it, no point in being sneaky then." Cloud thought. Cloud stepped closer and began to speak, "Hey, the name's Cloud. You willing to fight?"

Nabel's face lit up, as someone finally stepped into the arena to face him, visible glee on his young face. He turned around to face his challenger, as the lad had been sat cross-legged against the door (just as he'd seen in many overly produced martial arts movies) until he had noticed the new arrival. Pirouetting until he had both feet firmly placed on the ground, the demon first observed his challenger for a moment, before flashing a smile. The friendly expression was paired with a nod, as his chapped lips puckered up at the sudden movement. Despite being around the same age as the newcomer, the former king of the Vampyres looked to be much younger than the black-haired teen, as he stood up with his less than impressive (almost) four-foot tall frame. And his chubby, childlike proportions wouldn't be very intimidating either. The disarmingly kiddy, oddly lilting voice that came afterwards only contributed to the potential confusion. "Hiya~ Welcome to the worst place on Earth, stranger." He spoke with an earnestly enthusiastic, almost innocent tone, contrasting with his less than pleasant words, along with his deformed appearance. A rotten stench even drifted from the infected sores all along the poorly-stitched wounds of his tiny frame, as he flashed the Hybrid an excited smile. "I'm Nabel! It's good to meet you Cloud." He bopped around in place, cheery energy overflowing throughout his system, a few gusts of wind buffeting past the stranger. The demon's ki seemed to flow freely, as he greeted his opponent-to-be with a wave, forcing some purple ooze out of his empty socket. His single functional eye on the other hand, widened in anticipation. "Oh, sure! I'd love to fight." He nodded, neck cracking rather audibly, as he settled into a fighting stance. His only arm seemed to radiate every other second with an ethereal power. "Ready when you are." Cloud

Cloud was surprised...to say the least. He thought he found another warrior but turns out it was just a chubby devil with a weird eye socket. He couldn't sense ki so he didn't know if he was powerful enough but he can simply tell the devil was not a worthy challenger. However, he did have a friendly attitude which most people didn't have. He said in a friendly tone, "Look kid, I thought you were a strong fighter but you know, I made a mistake. So I'm gonna leave now, unless you can show me your strength." He was sure the kid didn't have anything to offer and he just wanted to continue his search for an actual fighter, and despite his friendly attitude, he couldn't trust anyone. He began stepping out of the abandoned building.Nabel

Cloud
Nabel's expression soured upon hearing the newcomer's response. He completely outmatched the Hybrid, both in skill and experienced, yet it was Cloud who acted like he had the upper-hand. The boy opened his tiny mouth, as if to say something in response, but was cut off by a thought. Perhaps the stranger wasn't familiar enough with ki to be able to snuff it out. And though this explanation certainly put things into perspective, it didn't improve the demon's mood one bit. Instead, it served to upset him even further. After all, what kind of fighter couldn't sense energy? A complete amateur was the boy's answer to that. The demon might not have been an expert fighter, but he had been around the block in tournaments and competitions before, so he didn't care much for the disrespect. With a very much nettled scowl, the demon forced himself to sigh and attempt to cool off. That didn't work out very well. He then proceeded to shoot very large, and very explosive ki bombs into Cloud's path, cutting the boy off from the exit. Given their relatively large difference in power, these supposedly minor blasts wouldn't be very easy to shrug off if the black-haired boy was hit. And given how Nabel was on the verge of a temper tantrum, as was appropriate for his biological age, he made sure to shoot out a full-on barrage of these, to the point of burrowing holes into the creaky, wooden floor. "Mind repeating yourself, kid?" He called out in his tiny voice after the soot and dirt from his attacks began to settle. What state would his opponent be in, upon emerging from these dust clouds? Hopefully in better state than the squalid humans who fled the scene, though they (thankfully) all appeared to be shocked rather than hurt or injured. The boy really hoped that he hadn't gone too far. He still craved a brawl, after all. And though Nabel was strong enough to take normal hits negligibly, he wasn't strong enough to tank everything, if the other boy had any tricks to show.

*Pant* *Pant*
Cloud emerged from all the smoke caused by the ki blasts. "Alright, alright. I stand corrected." He was surprised at the demon's strength. His power was majorly above his, but that didn't mean that he'd lose so easily. He looked around at the rubble and burnt pieces of wood. The panicked humans running. Great, he thought. The police will come soon and I'll be put into their data as, "that one monkey teen." He'll be recognized every time he comes back here all thanks to the devil brat. Just another reason to fight him.
He saw the devil's expression, he was mad and about to fuss. Cloud dashed forward at Nabel before jumping upwards and releasing a multitude of ki beams his way. "Heheh, what now you devil brat?!"

Nabel's instincts kicked in immediately as he saw the other boy charge at him. If he was a betting man (and thank god that he wasn't, as he'd already inherited one impeding vice from his deceased master), then he guessed that this maneuver would play out similarly to the ploy that his last opponent cooked up. And while the demon was drunk off of both alcohol and power back then, the boy was sober enough to ready himself for what he thought was to come. Time seemed to slow down for several seconds, as he saw the beams fly directly at him, just as he'd anticipated. So with a sudden burst of speed, his only hand flew around rapidly to meet the beams, slapping them away from his figure and into the walls. * With the power gap between them, it wasn't exactly a chore to pull off. Nabel seemed to have shrugged the entire barrage off entirely, as the blasts of energy collided with the rest of the building, rocking the very structures around them. His angered expression dialed down a little, falling into a resigned pout. He could only shake his head in disappointment and disgust at this point. Not only was this newbie pushing all of his buttons the wrong way, but the boy could sense his opponent's pride while doing so. This display was a far cry from the respect and etiquette he was handed while training with the (former) Turtle Hermit, though he supposed that it wasn't fair to compare a master martial artist with an (apparent) greenhorn. Nabel didn't want to act like a gatekeeper, as he planned on starting a school of his own one day, but he disdained fighters who couldn't back up their barks with bites. So with a now very pointed glare directed at the teen who dared corrupt his passions, the Demon shot back with a growl. It was more like a puppy's growl, given how tiny he was in that state. "I'll give you a chance to fight back, Cloud." He said matter-of-factly, no pride in his eerily calm and childish voice. If a weakling like himself (Nabel recognized that his strength was very lacking compared to a large subsection of the universe) could overpower Cloud, then Nabel held no respect for the dismissive teen. With that, he lowered his stance, an evil energy seeping out from his form. "Fall into a fighting form- you can go ahead and hit me at any time." Cloud Hey! I'm basing my responses off of our current power levels at the moment. I'm hyped for you to use your temporary transformation with a tech and just knock Nabel's socks off.

Cloud was mad, no, he as infuriated. "Not only has this demon exposed me to the cops, beaten me but now he's even toying around with me!" thought Cloud. This is the reason why Cloud despised anyone but himself. He stared in anger at the defenseless demon.
This was Cloud's chance to show the brat how much he underestimated him. And boy, will he be blown away. Cloud regained his his balance and flew down.
"Enough play time. You better prepare yourself, you brat."
Cloud began channeling ki within himself. He hasn't used this form in quite a while so he'll only be able to sustain it for a short period but that's all the time he needed. As Cloud charged more and more rubble began to lift, sudden cracks appeared before the two fighters, and the Earth was shaking.Cloud yelled out loud more and more, and soon through desperation, he released all his potential.
Cloud flew to the air and flew back down only to quickly move to the left, then to the right, then up, them down. Cloud kept running and flying everywhere to be unpredictable and this time for sure he must be able to damage the demon even just a little. He kept going and going leaving dust or debris everywhere he went. He would keep doing this till' his legs gave out. Soon he shot ki blasts in one direction and in another direction he yelled,
"Take it! LIGHTNING BEAM!"
The Beam moved towards the demon closer and closer. The only thing Cloud could do was the blasts and Beam would hit.
Nabel (sorry for taking so long)

Cloud Sorry for the delay! I had to go to sleep last night, and visited the doctor after waking up. I'm a little better now though, so I'll try to keep posting on time.
Nabel winced a little, as the entire structure around him shook from the sheer impact of the other boy's output. 'This is fine. Totally fine.' He bit his lips, as he braced for impact. Had they been in a more secure building, the boy was sure that the environment wouldn't have reacted in such a way, given both of their currently fairly low power levels. Yet even so, he could spot the blind fury that exuded from the Half-Breed, just before being shoved off into the deep end. Cloud shot off from one end of the room and into the other ad infinitum, attempting to play the confusion game and lead Nabel astray. But the demon had been exposed to such tactics before, and still managed to keep a vague track on the Saiyan's location, his single eye darting alongside his opponent's movements. Despite being a much more polished fighter, Nabel was certain that he couldn't dodge or block everything that could come his way at this state. With his disturbingly heavy weighted cloak on, there was a limit to how much energy he could output. And by extension, there was also something hindering how fast his sheer speed and reaction time could get. So when he stared down the inevitable attacks: a few stray balls of Ki, and a clearly superior energy beam, the boy knew where to cut his losses. He charged straight through the minor bombs, feeling his body be engulfed by the destructive energy. Though they were of little consequence in the long run, the blasts still hurt. His real problem at the moment was the swirling spiral of lightning that still lay ahead. While it wouldn't knock him out straightaways, taking three or four of those kinds of attacks in a row wouldn't do him any favors. Sure, the demon could have attempted to dodge it at any time, but he couldn't stay on the defensive forever. If this turned into a war of attrition, then the high output style that Nabel had cultivated for more than half of his life might just lead to his downfall. But that was still a ways off. After all, not only did he currently surpass Cloud in raw power, but the demon's experience was also a ways off. He had been studying and training in the martial arts rigorously for over a decade, while (he assumed that) Cloud couldn't have been practicing combat for more than a year or two. That factor was on full display, as Nabel cut through the energy beam with a ki-infused chop, his entire figure swirling rapidly, as he charged towards the Saiyan. Usually this attack would have featured the inclusion of deadly blade forming around his hand, but Nabel decided against that this time around. He didn't want to kill anyone after all, even if his target was the embodiment of the cocky rookie fighter stereotype, and a poor reflection or the fighting community as a whole. He only aimed to knock the kid down a peg or eight, as he shot the boy a last-minute glare. "Lesson numero uno for any martial artist worth their salt-" He shot back, just before he launched his attack. "- never, ever, underestimate an opponent." He hissed, as he drove the back of his fist into Cloud's jaw, attempting to burrow the lesser fighter into the wooden floor. Even still, the demon made sure to keep his wits about him, just in case something major were to happen. As he'd realized by this point, Saiyans could always be counted on to shift the tide of any fight. As the demon's fist lodged into Cloud's jaw, Cloud realized his mistake. Ever since he was on Earth, there was little to no challenge to fighting as he was a Saiyan. But this was different, Nabel was multiple leagues above his own. He couldn't just release all his energy and go in straight away, his opponent was playing it smart, and he should too. All of these thoughts swirled around Cloud's head as he got launched into the old wood. His energy was wearing out from basically every attack he took head on. Cloud tried to think strategically about what to do. Maybe something around him he could use....? Or like a weakness the demon had...? HOW THE FUCK WOULD HE KNOW?!? THE ONLY THING HE KNEW WHAT TO DO WAS THROW RANDOM PUNCHES AND BLASTS! Screw thinking smarter....er.. than the brat, thought Cloud. He just needed to knock him out. Cloud began circling and doing the same thing he did before who cares if he was predictable? He'll still land a hit if he blasted ki blasts. Cloud in a fit of rage blasted ki blasts randomly with no precision whatsoever. Some damaged other buildings around causing pieces of rock to fall. If that wasn't enough, he also screamed and used, "Lightning Missile!"With the missile being launched, Cloud lost all his energy and fell to the ground.

OOC Notes: Cloud Yoo, sorry for the late reply. I was working on it last night, but my fever shot up again and just laid waste to my write-y brain. I tried continuing earlier today too, but my parents wanted me to get checked again. Turns out I just had the flu. Oh, on a completely different, I have an idea for how to extend the thread for more gains and adventures. How bout you stay unconscious throughout the next post, maybe focus on his internal thoughts, then on mine we time-skip to Nabel bringing Cloud somewhere safe? Because the building around them is crumbling? "Tsk-tsk-tsk." Nabel waved a finger slowly, his expression halfway between disdain and disinterest. It was quite clear that he not only was he unsatisfied with his opponent's performance, but that he was growing active contempt for the black-haired boy as the the fight dragged on. Bum fights had given him more knowledge and insight on the art of fighting, and oftentimes both him and his foes would be completely plastered five minutes before the bout. That spoke volumes as to how much his respect for the other boy had dropped, and he had started the fight with barely any to spare. It was that inkling of power in the boy that disappointed Nabel the most. The demon would have preferred fighting an experienced weakling with a good grasp on their limits, rather than an arrogant one who had probably only scraped by via a higher than average power level. The teen himself had started off as a completely nobody, but he had respect for the fighting arts and its followers. He wasn't even sure if this brat even understood the significance of their martial lineage, or how their behavior reflected the schools that honed their talents. If one couldn't back up their words with their skills, then their value as both a fighter and a person was no more than a mangy mutt. Perhaps their current venue, the abandoned kennel which the lad had loathed for so long, was a fitting choice for this fight. 'No better than a brawler.' Nabel muttered angrily, as he watched the Half-Saiyan take one of the most cliché actions that a losing amateur could take. Cloud, in all of his rage and desperation, decided that he could perhaps muscle his way out of the situation by whipping up all of his power and throwing a massive barrage of ki bombs. The demon could only roll his eyes at the display, as he got around to dodging the blasts, making short work of any that came to close by knocking them into other spheres of ki. It annoyed him that so many people thought that this particularly overused strategy was being utilized by his opponent. There were proper ways to use energy blast barrages, but randomly letting them out in a fit of frustration was not one of those ways. Without a clear head, it would be impossible to properly focus on each individual bomb in a barrage. And as ki control and manipulation was his (self-proclaimed) specialty, Nabel knew this fact all too well. So when he saw Cloud try to add an even stronger beam to the mix, the demon could only roll his head and shake his eyes. As the lightning hued attack neared his figure, he let out the loudest and most condescending of laughs. A clear wave of energy burst forth from him as he chortled. The sheer power of it would be enough to knock away every other blast in the vicinity, and probably any unfortunate bodies lying in the way. And unfortunately for the semi-conscious Half-Saiyan, he was right in the line of fire. Cloud fell down, collapsing on the burning floor as the building started falling apart. The wave of energy from the demon overwhelmingly surpassed his beam. Cloud couldn't accept it, he couldn't! He tried getting up but immediately passed out. He was unconscious. But, inside his head, he questioned himself. How could he lose? A chubby demon of all things. He never lost a fight, except for the saiyan incident that occurred in his city, and a certain teacher he once had. He had brute strength! That's all he needed! Then, he remembered a certain memory back when he was still in his city, back when his sole purpose for fighting was protecting humans, how things changed.. The memory went as followed, "Come on, teach, I don't get what you're saying at all," Cloud said. "I don't get what you mean by "strategy," if I'm strong enough I can just go in and win right?" Back then, Cloud tried to learn from many teachers and challenged many of them, and of course, he always won. Because of all of his winning, Cloud grew arrogant of his power and believed that he had enough power to beat a match without any skill. His teachers always told Cloud about using his head, and this was another one of those teachers. "See Cloud, that's what you don't get! You've become too cocky and arrogant of your power but the truth is that you don't just need power, you need skill," replied the teacher. "Hehehe, you teachers always go on about skill and strategy but I've beaten nearly every master or teacher I've met! I doubt you'll be any different."
The teacher then went on more about how the strongest fighters were never just full guns blazing and blah, blah, blah. At least, that's what Cloud heard. "Great, you're not listening. Look, this'll catch your attention, how about we fight and I'll show you how much strategy plays." Cloud was laughing now, but agreed. Cloud was intending on not trying and he did. He tried punching, but barely fast at all. Then the teacher grabbed his arm and threw him around. "Never underestimate your enemy!" Cloud stopped at his path and was angered, to say the least. He charged against the teacher trying his best to hit him but the teacher dodged each one. In the midst of his anger, he was throwing his punches randomly, leaving many openings. The teacher indeed shot punches and kicks in all of those openings. "Well, this is sad." Cloud, in a fit, said that he wasn't even trying and left the building.
He was getting major deja vu. The same thing was happening as that day. History was repeating himself, because he didn't change, at all in the past 2 years. And he refused to! His arrogance wasn't going to be broken. He hated the demon, he didn't know anything! Nor did the teacher! He'll prove the demon wrong! He'll defeat him soon.. Just another reason to fight, Cloud thought. But soon he started waking up. Nabel

Cloud | Heey! So I assume that we went with my last idea owo I kinda wanted to both establish some old plot elements from before and drag a lucky someone into RPing with them around. Cloud seems fun soo 'Maybe I over did it.' Nabel shielded himself quite well from the falling mounds of rubble, a constant stream of energy exiting his figure and literally burning up any inorganic stray-aways. It had the unfortunate side effect of rapidly weathering the concrete floor as well, given that the wooden ramps of the arena were all but completely incinerated, as he made strode along towards his defeated foe. This was hardly the most gracious ending for a site so important to both his childhood and his character, but perhaps it was a more satisfying conclusion than slowly rotting away into nothingness, while waiting for the deliberately slow city officials to finally take action. (Even under the Banner of that great Blue Army, South City's authorities were still as cheap and inefficient as humanly possible.) Staring at the unconscious boy, the demon had to sigh, as he shielded the youth from being crushed by the debris. It did a number on his already tattered cloak, but the weighted gear would last another day. The old clothing underneath, however, would not last another eight hours. The boy figured that was just another thing that needed fixing upon arriving home, though that trip would have to wait, as he first needed to bring a certain disgrace to a healer. So with large swaths of cement compacting into dust over his bald head, he grabbed the Half-Saiyan by the collar, and burst out of the building through the now numerous gaps in its walls. And like that, the puppy kennel was no more, as it collapsed in on itself. That was Nabel's good-bye to his six year old self, he supposed. A more dignified climax would have been preferred, but it was more appropriate for him to face something weak and disappointing, as he often had in the building's past. So with those 'fun' memories rolling throughout his journey to a certain somewhere else, the lad couldn't help but groan in annoyance. "So you're both a boisterous weakling and a massive pain in the butt." He said aloud. "Fan-ducking-tastic. You know, you'd be way cuter if you weren't crazy stupid" Fun times ahead indeed.
The emergency room was (quite literally) devoid of any life, besides the unconscious young man laid out on a rolling stretcher. In the nearly complete absence of patients, the witch doctor's demonic and undead staff were all that remained the dark obsidian rooms. Two jiangshi cleaned away at the already pristine floors, as a ghoul lazily slept at a metal counter, apparently manning the registrar. Had the amalgamation of evil chosen a more public hospital, the crowd would most certainly have been different, given that they probably would have existed. But with his shoestring allowance and fear of police questioning, the (technically still incumbent) ruler had instead brought his down opponent to the shattered remnants of what was once a budding kingdom. And while he had once blamed himself for their destruction, the boy was at least world-weary enough to acknowledge how his (other) former master's mistakes lead to this sorry state. Still, as the (kind of, sort of, totally still) king of the Vampyres, he at least managed to hide the two dozen or so citizens that remained in one of Kiara's more roomy underground bunkers. As with last time, he brought a good supply of blood on him. Not Cloud, of course, that would be weird and against his morality. Nabel instead allowed his subjects to feast on his own demonic essence. He had enough to spare, and if the slurping sounds from a sealed room marked 'cafeteria' were any indication, the remaining Vamps didn't mind. The rag-doll demon was definitely glad that his head physician was a different kind of undead. One that didn't sustenance or paychecks. But that didn't excuse the old skeleton from taking so long when there was literally nothing else to do. Nabel had to sigh at this. Even when he had moved onto becoming a regular martial artist, he still took a ton of missteps. 'What the HFIL is he doing back there?' He wondered, as he stared at the room in the back. Not that he could see very far under the light of mysterious glowing mushrooms, but the other creatures of the night didn't enjoy brightness all that much. With a sigh, he stared at the unconscious boy once more. 'I probably should have gone to a real doctor.'

Cloud soon began waking from his slumber, or rather his state of unconsciousness on what seemed to be a rolling stretcher. As he woke up, he saw the face of the one-eyed demon. "Sh-shit!" He was surprised at seeing the demon of all things in front of him after he became unconscious. Actually, on second thought, how did he even survive? He remembered the building collapsing so there's no way he could've lived from that! But then his thoughts immediately stopped. He realized the situation.
The demon was in front of him, and this is his chance to catch him off guard. He first however had to analyze the area, in case there was anyone there. And there were. There were two...ghosts, Cloud assumed, wiping away at the floor, and a ghoul asleep. Not to mention, the constant slurping coming what I could only assume as the cafeteria. The room was obsidian as well, where the fuck is he? There were too many people around to make a scene but was he eager to.
Cloud tried standing up but it hurt immensely within a second. Cloud laid back down. Cloud began to saw something over the dim glowing mushrooms. He saw a door and immediately wondered why, but he assumed it was a hospital considering the sleeping ghoul and unconscious brown hair. He then looked at the demon and said, "Did you bring me here?"

Nabel winced a little, as he watched the other boy try to spring into action (and ultimately fail). And while the lad couldn't exactly say for sure, he had been around similar types of characters long enough to know that Cloud didn't have any good intentions in mind. In the demon's experience, dumb ingrates usually took the opportunity to quickly get a drop on their unaware 'opponents' in these situations. The boy knew that all too well, as he watched the Half-Saiyan squiggle and squirm, before lying back down to give up. Even when the hybrid took a moment to relax and ask about the situation, Nabel couldn't see any form of self-reflection or sincerity in their system.
And that greatly disappointed him. It indicated that his latest opponent wasn't someone who should be involved with the martial arts, as there was nothing left to teach him. Masters could continue to grow and train indefinitely, as they accepted their flaws and planned to work around them, or even grow past them in the best case scenarios. But arrogant fools, especially the kind that believed in a fight not being over until they had won, they would find no such value in fighting. At best, they end up brutes who find a less mentally intensive outlet for their aggressions. And at worst, they become villains who search for alternative means to power. And Nabel couldn't tell where the black-haired boy was headed, even as he shook his head in response.
"No, I didn't actually." That was complete and utter rubbish, but the boy sold it with so much honest empty sadness that it seemed sincere. It seemed as though sobriety and evil energies helped empower one's acting abilities. "That building collapsed completely, I couldn't get us out in time." He frowned, as he looked sadly upon the ground. The hesitance and shock in his tone helped the performance chug along. "We- we didn't make it."
And the little pause he took to sit down dejectedly, slowly slumping in despair, was something to behold. It also helped that he had a lot of practice with emoting, given his last master's eventual plan for him. It would have been hard to become a king without understanding which buttons to push on a person. "I woke up here hours ago- I wasn't expecting you to arrive too though..." He frowned. "Welcome to my private Hell."
"I dunno if that's just how your face usually is, but you look like a dumy." The demon looked up, before snorting, and shaking his head. With a chuckle, he called for the nearby discount vampire nurse to bring Cloud a cup of water, which arrived in moments. The glass floated by idly in the air, as if held up by something ethereal. "For real though, yes. I did indeed bring you here, Cloudy." He giggled in an innocent tone. How someone could so easily wash themselves off after being coated in horse apples was a mystery. Perhaps even one that should never be solved.
"We're in a hospital. You have a concussion." He noted sternly, though his tone remained light and cheery. Was this really the same boy from mere hours earlier? He seemed much younger as he nodded. "If you try to jump me, I'm more than willing to give you two or ten more of them." Yeah, it was. That's enough proof for this narrator.
