In the end, even Paengi's stunned silence was all that Sax needed. In fact, this moment of crushing, wordless abnegation happened to be far more scathing than any callous outburst. Paengi didn't even have a single thought to think of and respond with. Well, so be it. The self proclaimed 'Silver Warrior' that zealously believed he alone was the savior of the Namekian people... He was nothing but a massive waste of time. Sax had no words left, nor any kindness. Even aggression was gone from the son of Xylo.
He was done here.
"Aaa!" Viola managed to catch Sax's prized glasses after fumbling and juggling them for a good few seconds. Confirming their grip on the radical specs, the tiny Namekian waited a moment longer just to be sure he wasn't going to be a butterfinger and drop them. "Okay. I got 'em."
As Sax turned away from Paengi, he walked past Rhytid who had his own answer to the situation as he burst into his Great Namek form. The answer he had found was one that he seemed to be hesitant with at first. Rhytid clearly hated to have it come down to something like this, but it was what Paengi more than likely needed; a Destruction Wave shaped reality check.
Walking over to Viola and Helix, Sax simply closed his eyes and held out his hand. Viola immediately handed over the scouter-glasses. After that, Sax kept walking. He soon picked up the still unconscious shapeshifting alien from earlier and waited near the big rock mound...
Neither Sax nor Viola are gonna stop Rhytid, sorry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In that moment, after that bright, rampant flash of green light, it was finally over.
This entire stupid conflict, the attempted leadership of a dim-witted, dense racist, it had ended right then and there. A statement was made, a statement that Namek had changed. Away with the antagonization of other castes, away with the racism- away with it all. Namek had to be unified, to stand proud and strongly against whoever dared bring hostility and harm to them.
No one could do this alone. Not the Mazoku, not the Warriors, and not the Dragons.
All had to coexist.
''...It's over.'' The gigantic Namekian sighed out, lowering the palm of his hand that fizzled with the remnants of his own Ki. Rhytid remained silent for a moment, gazing down at the unconscious body of a former leader, one of his own brothers. In some way, Rhytid felt guilt- the promise he made to never harm his own clansman had been broken. But it was a necessary sacrifice, right? Maybe...
He shrank his body down to its original size, breathing heavily out of his nose. ''Don't worry, I made sure to injure him as least I could.'' Rhytid spoke, turning his gaze toward Helix, Viola and Sax.
The Namekian now turned around fully. He carried a difficult face- one that carried a heavy burden. All of it was so difficult...All of this change- all of this sudden growth. Could he keep up? Was he strong enough?
''Sax,'' Rhytid spoke aloud, a somber, yet determined gaze staring the lanky Mazoku Commander down. ''Could you see to it that his wounds are treated? I have...Something I need to ask of the Guru.'' He sighed a heavy sigh, eyes momentarily glancing toward Helix, and then back toward Sax. ''Besides- we can't leave him here, he's still one of us.''
He turned his attention to the Guru, taking a few steps toward his own mentor- Rhytid bowed his head. ''I'm sorry, Helix. I didn't want to be pushed to that point, yet I felt I had no choice.'' The Namekian's tone was filled with regret and disgust. It was obvious he didn't want to resort to violence, yet sometimes words just weren't enough.
''Guru...It pains me to admit, but I know that I am not yet strong enough to lead my Caste...If we leave the position open- if SOMEONE doesn't step up to the plate, I fear what happened today will only happen again and again.'' Rhytid spoke in a concerned voice, knowing fully well that the events that transpired here were doomed to repeat itself.
Repeat forever...until something changed.
The young Warrior swallowed his pride, feeling his heart pound in his chest as he prepared for what was to come next. This might be it- this might be the day that Rhytid's dreams, yet also his fears, became a reality.
A strong gaze was sent toward the Guru's way, a gaze of iron resolve, one filled with a burning passion!
''Helix- I ask you, for the sake of Namek...Grant me strength. The strength I need to lead, to protect!''
Due to not posting within 48 hours, Paengi has been Knocked Out, and the conflict has ended.TAGS: Sax Helix Crust OOC NOTES: i t ' s f i n a l l y o v e r

The guru brought a hand to his chin, watching the encounter escalate further and further. He feared that within minutes there would be a physical altercation. Almost lost in his silence, his nephew broke his focus with a question. Helix nodded to the small namekian wordlessly, and heard out what he had to say. He was right that Paengi was a very emotional leader.
There was nothing necessarily wrong with that—rarely are personality traits ever objectively wrong—but in times like these, it was often better to carefully consider each action before setting off chaos on namek. Helix wouldn't even consider Sax for the position of the warrior caste, and the mention made him smile slightly.
Helix's senses focused on the energy of the group. The scene shifted from stark images into a watery painting of ki and life force, colors swirling together, pushing and pulling. It was true: Rhytid wasn't quite powerful enough to defend his caste yet. And yet, he was so much more stable than the clearly explosive former leader. The guru had never met him before, but he assumed that he had been more sound of mind during his original reign.
After the brief interlude with viola, Rhytid's piercing eyes shifted, and Helix twitched, standing more upright than before. Suddenly, his voice boomed forwards, unleashing a proclamation of determination. His body throbbed: the dragon caste hardly even noticed it at first, but Rhytid was growing to colossal proportions.
Helix stepped back, ushering Viola along with him to make sure they weren't caught in whatever was about to ensue. The guru's heart ached. For a brief moment, he had a chance to stop it. He could've performed telekinesis faster than anyone here could process, and nullify the violence at it's core. And yet, he didn't. For the first time in his life, he turned away.
Maybe it was because the warrior caste was justified in it's use of combat; after all, one of their core purposes was honing the arts of the body. Or maybe it was because Xylo had softened him to war, softened him to ends justifying means.
Sax walked past, receiving his glasses from Viola, and Helix closed his eyes. He didn't open them until he heard the words:
"It's over."
The warrior caste quickly assured him that he minimized the violence, and Helix nodded, still silently. It seemed like he silence was his friend today. When Rhytid requested to speak to the Helix, the guru gestured alongside him and lead him over to a spot next to the stream. Helix sat down cross legged, silent, and heard what his pupil had to say.
"It is all right," Helix spoke quietly, giving his apprentice a reassuring smile, "What is in the past is untouchable. Learn from yourself, but do not let it eat you."
The stream trickled in short gushes, stumbling over rocks and sloshing lightly down it's path.
And then, the request. Helix held his right hand with his left, fingering his knuckles as he watched the features of Rhytid's face. The crease down his center, the smooth cheeks and folds of his brow. Then, he looked away, down into the river. Almost directly next to them was a small cluster of rocks. The stream parted around them, like a thick island in the center, and then rejoined afterwords, flowing a bit weaker.
"The rocks block the stream," Helix noted aloud to Rhytid, and then gestured with his pointer finger. "They don't cut it off, but they only let so much water through. Sometimes it needs to be that way."
"It will join up with another stream later, maybe. Or flood moori capital. But it is not itself. It is not fully what it is. Not yet."
Helix turned back to Rhytid and lifted his hand. His pupils dissapeared into a glow, and a light frothy slow flame began to whirl white around his right hand. He hovered his hand near the river, and the stones in the center pulled up from their muddy basins with satisfying plops. The suction of the air was quickly filled by happily gushing water, and the stream grew to new brilliance.
Helix set down the stones beside him in a stack. "People are streams," he said, eyes and forehead marking still shining white, "Are you ready for your path to be cleared?"

Rhytid initially watched on with a pounding heart and anxious mind, unsure what Helix thought of him after his act of violence. Maybe it wasn't his only option, maybe it was...He only hoped his mentor and ally didn't think any different of him.
And luckily, that didn't seem to be the case. Helix was understanding and wise enough, after all, and Rhytid nodded toward the Guru before following him to the creak, where he made his request.
The light silence from Helix was hard for the passionate Namekian to read- Rhytid could only closely follow the Guru's gaze toward the stream. A stream only lightly blocked by pebbles and rock, but not enough to completely stop the flow.
Helix explained to Rhytid what his request implied, and the underlying thought that went with it. Rhytid carried a stern gaze, determined eyes staring at the rocks that held back the stream back. Silent for a while, he thought it over, eyes closing with a soft exhale through his nose.
After some thought, it began making sense to the Namekian. His caste too often spoke of these 'blockades' during meditation. Mental blockades that held a person back. Rumors were told of Namekians that were able to free themselves of these blockades, and reached new stages of enlightenment through them.
Maybe, just maybe, this worked the same for the body, and not just the mind. Physical blockades inside of everyone, holding back their true power- their true potential.
After a long silence, his eyes opened once more.
''Yes.''
He stood with a determined sigh, nodding to himself once more. There was no stress anymore, not a shred of nervousness. The path to leadership was a difficult one, an arduous climb to conquer himself. His fears, his anger, his anxiety, and his weakness. It was time.
''I know I am ready, Guru Helix. I must be ready.'' He spoke aloud in a clear, confident tone. Turning to face the Guru fully now, Rhytid's expression said all that needed to be said.
''The Warrior Caste shall not disappoint you, or Namek. And neither will I.'' Rhytid bowed his head to the wise Namekian, the person that taught him everything he stood for in the present. In a way, this felt like Rhytid's gratuation, as if he had passed the Guru's teachings, and was now ready for the next step.
A great step.
His head remained low, eyes closed as a small smile crept up on his face. Rhytid couldn't help but feel the least bit proud for his accomplishments- his growth. ''Before you begin, though...Allow me to thank you- for everything. For how you've supported me, and the things you've taught me...'' Rhytid did not raise his head, and simply spoke to the Guru in a respectful hush. A very brief chuckle puffed from his closed mouth, his smile growing. ''My caste will always be there to support you as well.''
And so his voice grew silent, awaiting the moment in which his entire life would change.
Sax has given me permission to skip him, seeing as the poor guy lost his muse for the thread!

Helix watched with receptive eyes as Rhytid took up the mantle of his potential, and nodded. The indents in the guru's face were still glowing bright white, trickling off hints of the magic that lie below the surface. "The new era begins now, with the sentinel and with the castes breathing in unison." Helix caught a glance of Sax out of the corner of his eye. Rhytid began to smile, and Helix, although in his fully realized spirit state currently, couldn't suppress his own. The young warrior caste was thanking him for his guidance. Helix grinned, and bore a sharp toothed smile. "It is my pleasure."
He paused for a moment. "Now then—" He began once more, "Let us begin."Helix lifted his palm into the air and gently set it down on Rhytid's forehead. His thumb reached across to the warrior's right temple, while his pinky cradled the left. His three middle fingers fanned out across his skull, with the centermost resting on the crease in his forehead. "Close your eyes— Open your mind to me. Focus entirely on your breathing."
White mystical flames danced out from underneath his palm slowly, as if warming up. "On the count of five, I will push out your spiritual and mental obstacles. It won't hurt a bit."
A short, white, furiously burning aura rushed from Helix, cradling his body close. "One—" Helix tightened his grip slightly, adjusting his fingers. "Two—" Diving into Rhtyid's mind, Helix's consciousness found itself swept up in a sea of willpower. "Three—" Finally, Helix came upon what felt like a massive wall, or a dam of some sort. There were cracks webbed out across the stone barrier, and water trickled through in sharp short jets. But it needed an extra push to break down. "Four." With a single push of his mind, Helix would release an soft but intense push, sending a quaking spiral through the dam, shattering the heavy stone in one precise push of pressure. The blast of water that ensued swept Helix entirely out of Rhytid's consciousness, blowing him back to the physical plane. A white light would surround Rhytid with intense energy, and a sharp, high pitched whirr would send his eyelids flinging open, unlocking an incredible power! The duo's combined light would spiral up into the sky, beaconing as a tower of energy.
((Potential Unlocked!))
When all things were said and done, Helix's pupils would return, and his spirit state would suppress once more. Suddenly, a thought popped into his head, making him chuckle: "…Did I say five? I meant four."

Without a word to Rhytid regarding his request, Sax gave a short lackluster wave of a free hand to confirm that he had at least heard it. With his other hand held to his scouter he was already sorting out a short message to send to his specially picked squad so that they could deal with this situation instead. Sax didn't want to go near Paengi let alone touch him, and that much was abundantly clear.
After the message was sent; within the span of a minute two blips in the sky could be seen, their trajectory obviously trained towards the scene here in the Quiet Plains. Two Kabochans had arrived; a pair of twins; one female one male. The female was shorter and squarely built where the male was taller and agile looking.
"So where's the chump we're suppos'ta be takin' care of?" Growled the taller Kabochan, his voice making it unclear if this was his usual state or that he was perhaps offended for Sax as well. "Calm yourself, brother. We have our orders." The shorter of the two was a lot more composed, albeit not by much. Her resting body language and tone of voice (though in both accounts rather rigid right now) would generally portray her as a bubbly sort, and for that kind of person to be as grumpy as this..? Not good.
Sax silently nodded over to the unconscious Paengi; and the Kabochan twins gave their commander a quick salute before the female 'gently' picked Paengi up off the ground, carting him away to be healed somewhere. All that was left was the shapeshifting lizard, who was now entrusted to the male for the same reason, but this time-- unlike Paengi-- he was handled with proper care and under Viola's guidance as the three of them flew off into the distance.
All was taken care of by the time Guru Helix had awakened a sleeping power within Rhytid. Sax shuffled forward, anxious to see what had just happened. Surely Rhytid would be tough enough to handle the Warrior Trials now?

Controlled breaths came from the Namekian who tried to clear his mind. His heart pounded heavily, not daring to utter a single word as Helix worked his magic. With closed eyes, he simply waited, breathing in, and out. In, and out... There was no anxiety, no sense of nervousness for what was to come. If this had happened a month or two ago, he'd be sweating bullets. But Rhytid had grown, developed both physically as well as mentally. Casting aside his fear, his lack of conviction, and most of all, his boundless racism toward the Mazoku. He truly was ready. Opening his mind to Helix, Rhytid felt a deep spiritual connection between the two. All of his inner thoughts and feelings laid bare for the Guru. They were linked. For that brief moment, Rhytid and his mentor were one. The countdown started, and Rhytid's heartbeat seemed to slow down as it continued. Beating heavier, but slower- anticipating his new beginning with a calm, collected mind and soul. One... Two... Three... Four.
For that brief moment, Rhytid's heart stopped beating. His mind was pushed to the brink, untapped powers crashing and pushing against the blocks within himself- a dam that had been broken! His limits shattered, and newfound power flourished, flowing from Rhytid's body like a fountain! Rhytid's eyes shot open, briefly glowing with the same white light that was often seen around Helix. It soon faded away, though- leaving Rhytid knelt down in utter shock and awe. An aura of white flew around him like a controlled storm, sparking the air and producing an intense shockwave! Rhytid clutched his chest, gripping the cloth on his Gi with a tight grip. Slowly, he stood up- looking even calmer than before, like he had been hit by a wave of clarity and divinity. ''Wow...I feel...-'' He spoke softly, taking in a deep breath as his white aura withdrew. Eyes glanced from the grass, to the stream, to Helix. ''...Amazing...!'' Rhytid cracked a brief smile, releasing the grip on his Gi, and taking another controlled breath.
''I feel like everything is clear to me now!'' Rhytid spoke aloud as a determined expression formed on his face. Newfound confidence, mentally and physically, Rhytid was finally convinced that he was powerful enough to lead, to inspire! ''My thoughts, and my Ki...They flow so freely now! I can feel it flowing...It's...Amazing, really.'' Needless to say, the Namekian was REALLY amazed by just how much this unlocked potential increased his capabilities. Distant eyes glanced at his hands, clencing and unclenching into tight fists-
...Yes, truly amazing!
He looked back, though, glancing at both Sax and Helix. ''But-'' Rhytid paused, eyes moving toward the distant horizon, sprinkled with Namekian settlements. ''I can't stand here in shock and awe all day. There's work to be done. Lots of work.'' Looking at Helix and Sax once more, he smiled proudly. Namek wasn't going to spread the news of its new Warrior Caste leader by itself. He'd need to make the news known now. ''You know, villages to inform- and people to inspire.'' Rhytid gave the two of them a brief nod, and saluted the two as his white aura flared around him once more.
''We'll keep in touch.''
And with that, Rhytid flew off toward his village.
To inform them, and soon, the rest of Namek, of the Warrior Caste's new leader.
Once he arrived, Rhytid was immediately greeted by an elder Namekian, Bulim, a clansman Rhytid was quite close with, almost a father-figure to him. ''Rhytid, I saw you leave in such a hurry, many of us felt a disturbance...What happened?'' Bulim asked him, a hint of concern in his voice. Rhytid breathed in deeply, thinking back to what had just happened. The thoughts were...Unsettling, but he felt no guilt. ''There...Was someone, attempting to claim the title of our leader-'' He explained in a clear tone, before another deep sigh escaped him. ''Incompetent. Completely incompetent. Thank Porunga that we were there in time to stand against his ridiculous claim...'' Rhytid spoke in relief- only now realizing how lucky he was that Helix and Sax showed up as well to stand by his side.
''Mmmhhh....What do you mean 'we', Rhytid? Were there others?'' Bulim raised a curious brow, able to sense SOMETHING coming off of Rhytid, yet he couldn't quite put his finger on what...
''Our Guru, Helix, as well as a close friend of mine.''
Bulim nearly choked on his own spit, eyes widening as he hacked and coughed! A shaky fist moved from his mouth to his side, unable to really believe what Rhytid just said...! ''T-The Guru...? OUR Guru...?'' Bulim whispered, an awed hush. Rhytid, however, could only smile, letting out a brief chuckle. ''The very same.'' He nodded confidently, wanting to speak up about his announcement- yet he was quickly cut off by Bulim again. ''And what of that Namekian, Rhytid? What did you do to him?'' The older Namekian spoke curiously, laying a hand on Rhytid's shoulder.
He let out a deep breath, a stoic gaze looking straight into Bulim's eyes. ''I defeated him.'' Rhytid said in tone that implied grand, great things. A serious tone, one that made Bulim's heart pound intensely.
''Rhytid...Does this mean...?''
''Yes.''
''And you're certain that you're prepared? It's a great responsibility...''
''I've grown, Bulim. Even our Guru approves of my decision. I'm ready.'
Bulim's eyes closed, and he breathed in deeply. The older Namekian knew that Rhytid wasn't kidding around, and he was deadly serious. He had challenged, and defeated someone's claim, which made him eligible to claim the mantle instead. Bulim knew, that Rhytid was finally confident in himself. Slowly, his eyes opened again, and he nodded. ''Very well. I will gather the rest of the villagers.'' He sighed with a proud smile, removing his hand from Rhytid's shoulder.
Rhytid returned the smile with a grateful nod.
A couple of minutes passed, with Bulim quickly gathering all of the villagers to listen to Rhytid's ''Grand Announcement''.
A crowd of Warrior Clansman bustled infront of and around Rhytid. Man, old and young, yet all Warrior. They exchanged curious thoughts and comments, eagerly awaiting the 'awakened' Warrior to speak up. Some already had an idea as to what Rhytid wanted to announce, but others were simply silent, waiting with bated breath...
Rhytid cleared his throat.
''People of Namek, I thank you for gathering here...!'' Rhytid shouted out above the crowd in a serious, yet grateful tone. The crowd grew silent, and all faces were pointed directly at Rhytid. He scanned over the crowd, slowly looking at everyone with a determined, stoic gaze.
''We live in a dark time, with the Galaxy in turmoil. Civilizations at war with one another, fighting and dying for what they believe is right. Sadly, our planet, and our people, are also at risk!'' He spoke aloud, passion and concern in his voice, a concern for his people. His planet.
''It is true that the Mazoku are to blame for putting our people at risk, and your frustration IS justified! Yet it concerns me that many Namekians, myself included, have antagonized the Mazoku because of this! We lash out at them, brand them as villains, and even rebel against their rulership...!'' He paused for a moment to catch his breath, looking over the crowd to see a lot of 'guilty' faces. Many were rightfully upset, yet it only worked against them...
''Yet I have realized, that this is the WRONG thing to do! The Mazoku may be at war, but this is also OUR planet! Working against them means that we are working against ourselves! After all, it is our DUTY to protect Namek, at all costs!''
Rhytid's fist clenched passionately, raising it into the air as his voice raised as well. ''It is time for CHANGE! No Caste can protect this planet on their own! Not the Dragons, not the Mazoku, not even us Warriors! Only unified, can we make sure Namek remains unscarred, and safe from harm!'' Confidence surged through Rhytid as his fist raised even higher! The white aura he just achieved formed around him, signalling everyone of the massive jump in potential and power that he made!
''Today, it is time that we MAKE that change! No more shall any Caste be demonized by the others! It is time for harmony! Only together do we stand a chance against invaders! We shall stand by eachother's sides, for a SAFE Namek- For a UNIFIED Namek!''
The crowd applauded and roared, thrusting their fists into the air as well! Cheers erupted from the Warrior Caste members, inspired by the passionate Namekian's words. Yet, he was not done! Rhytid's aura exploded even further, a full display of the power Guru Helix's gift gave him!
''Today, our Guru, Helix Crust, has graced me with a deeply-hidden power that will help us make this change!''
''And so it is, with great honor- that I, Rhytid, declare that I am taking up the mantle of Warrior Caste Leader! Together with the Dragons and the Mazoku, I will unify the Castes, and retain our safety!''
''Yet I cannot do this alone! Stand by my side, as we work toward a unified Namek!''
''NOW, WHO'S WITH ME?!''
Rhytid received a grand, amazing applause from the crowd! Everyone cheered and whistled, frantic claps and excited shouts filled the area around them, echoing through the vast plains that surrounded their village. The new Leader's heart pounded intensely in his chest, a satisfied smile plastered on his face. His aura subsided, slowly lowering himself to the ground once more. He looked on at the passionate crowd of Warriors, seeing a lot of himself in their faces. Passion, willpower, and determination. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't fighting back any tears.
Today, hope was created.
Hope for Namek, and its people.
Rhytid has challenged and defeated Paengi's claim, and hereby declares himself the Warrior Caste Leader!

For a second, the air lingered stagnantly, as if there was a moment of dip in the flow of the universe. And then everything roared back to life. Sparks were cracking in the air for a moment, before Rhytid withdrew and tamed his new power. Helix's cracked lips formed into a subtly giddy smile.
Almost immediately, the young namekian decided to take off, headed off towards the next goal. The prophet smiled, giving the warrior caste a quiet salute. "Porunga's speed!"
As Rhytid rocketed off, Helix turned to his two nephews. "You two are welcome to stop by the village later on. It'd be a delight to have you."
Helix had made the right decision. Rhytid was certainly the warrior most fit for leadership now. But even the strongest palm sways in the wind. The young warrior had inherited a world of discord.
The guru's eyes faded to white, and he nodded towards his nephews. With that, he would evaporate in a whirr of wind, teleporting back to his palace.
