[PL- 17,488. HW- 4372] [Celestial Event]
A silver flare flew through the skies. Any namekians nearby that could sense power would probably assume the namekian just a normal warrior caste member, above average power level but nothing special. However, without his weights it would be a different story. Paengi's power level was massively stronger than any normal namekian. Only the greatest of namekians, and the god like beings from other planets, could rival his strength. He was one of the strongest of the warrior caste members alive- if not the strongest. Paengi could feel the wind soaring against him, unable to resist his shooting through the skies. The energy inside of his body allowed him to channel this power to fly across the skies. The suns on his back shone brightly, the heat on his back making sure he needed a water based diet. As he floated above the ground, he would dip and dive, travelling lower so that the pleasant smell of his planet's plant life would rise to him. His life had been much more relaxed since he had waken up from the coma in the lake, the cause still unknown.
Before that he had rose to become the leader of the warrior caste, inspiring others. He hadn't chose this responsibility- in fact he had been against it. His master, the former warrior caste leader, had told him that he was truly the one most fitted to lead. Paengi still doubted it to this day- but whoever was the strongest and wisest must lead. His master had fought with him, determined to see who was the strongest. Despite the master's mysterious techniques and long experience in fighting, Paengi had to his surprise came out on top. From then on, he led. His master, or former master, taught him the most important techniques of his people. The multiform, a technique allowing one to divide their power and person, as well as the special beam cannon. Paengi was a melee fighter, never lobbing blasts of his energy but instead fighting up close. The special beam cannon at first seemed odd for him to use, but now he knew it rounded out his arsenal well. If he were ever in a fight to defend Namek, instead of desperately trying to ensure all his attacks were up close, he could use his trump card to attack from a distance.
All these memories were stirred in the fighter, the familiar feeling of the Quiet Plains reminding him of all his adventures. Waking up from the coma, he knew not what to do. He was no longer warrior caste leader, no longer having that responsibility upon him. It was refreshing but worrying. There was a reason he had became leader, and no coma would change that. The strongest was needed in order to defend Namek. His responsibility to lead and defend was always in his gut worrying him. When he wasn't leader, he had no intentions of leading. Why should he? His experience as a child had taught him not to desire power, not to do things for the sake of yourself, but instead know the curse of power and when you must accept that curse. But never the less, he had that curse. He could choose to ignore it- leave Namek, explore his deep rooted hatred of aliens. From time to time he found himself with an odd feeling- that perhaps not all aliens were the same. It was certainly possible, with the mysterious people defending Namek from the demon namekian in his past. But all of his life told him the opposite. His hatred of the demons masquerading as namekians and of denizens of other worlds conflicted. If he were to become leader he would have to face this choice- perhaps going against his own beliefs in order to secure the safety of his people. Or he could leave. The thought was always there- maybe you aren't the strongest, maybe you are just someone that thinks he's the best. He considered this, but knew it was wrong. It didn't matter if he was the strongest- after all others were stronger in the universe, but that wasn't why he was in such thought. No, it was the fact that he was former warrior caste leader, and it was up to him to make sure the best led Namek. This responsibility called to him.
In the distance, he felt small shocks of power rippling through the air. What was going on? He sped up, worried. All former thoughts had dissipated- he never seemed to have this constant civil war on his head when he was defending his people. As he approached, he noticed it was a small village set on the edge of the plains. Why would such power be coming from there? He ignored the question, knowing contemplating it would no good. He began to slow down, his billowing green robes protecting his identity calming down. There was a large, reptilian beast in the village. It's eyes gleamed with power, as it swatted a namekian out of the sky. Paengi watched, a dry feeling in his mouth. The air seemed to ripple with power, as he nose picked up scent of burning flesh. His stomach dropped, as he watched. What would his warrior caste do without him interfering? If he was in a lake, still sleeping in his mysterious coma, how would this village fare.
Warrior caste members swarmed around the beast, some launching blasts of different colored energies while some flew in to assault it personally. He noticed that some more were closer to the ground, trying to prevent too much structural damage while others grabbed weaker namekians to escort them to safety. The former leader smiled, glad that even if not strong enough, the warrior caste would do their best. A roar redirected Paengi's attention back to the fight, as the beast opened it's mouth. A stream of neon energy was expelled from it, knocking all of them who were in it's path back to the ground. Paengi's fists clenched, barely able to hold himself back. Though important to see if his brothers were able to beat the beast, he couldn't let any die. The responsibilities of a leader weighed on him. He had to see if they could hold their own- it was crucial, and joining the fight to early would ruin any observations. But who he was at heart fought against the difficult decision. He didn't care that this was the tougher choice, the one that needed to be made. He wasn't the current warrior caste leader, why did the responsibilities have to be taken on by him! As the beast seemed to power down, recognizing he didn't need to use all his power to win, Paengi decided he could compromise. He shot into the outskirts of the village, working with his brothers to save citizens. He flew around the town as fast as his weights allowed him, bringing them to the edge of town where warrior caste members would be ready to carry them out of the town if the fight dragged on too long. He felt a burning pride in his chest, knowing his people were truly amazing. It was time to join in.
The reptilian humanoid was normal sized now, smirking as he shot acidic blasts of ki at the weak warriors that came at him. No one here stood a chance, the warrior caste leader having already been beaten. One of the funny green men jumped at him, as he moved to the side and turned to look at him as he passed by, bringing energy to his throat and spitting it at him. The man landed on the ground behind him, screaming in pain as his arm burned off. He grinned, watching the pain. These people were so easy to beat. He walked to the green fighter laying on the ground, unable to do anything but grip the stump. He wouldn't allow this one to regrow his arm. Instead, he would reach his claws inside of him and- he froze. He could sense the other power hi, a fighter with power equal to him. The leader was already beaten somewhere, how could this person stand a chance against him. He turned slowly, facing the warrior who wore the green cloak.
Paengi glared, his breathing heavy as rage filled him. He had stood by, and it was painfully obvious the warrior caste stood no chance. He had to put a stop to this. He walked forward, slowly, watching a green limb pop out from the stump of the wounded warrior before he flew into the sky. Paengi nodded at the fighter, glad he was smart enough to know he should let Paengi handle it. Silver aura began flowing around the namekian. This was no person he could go easy on, taking his time. This dreaded alien was like most extraterrestrials, taking pleasure from his people's pain. Paengi shot forward, his fists a blurry against the reptile. He heard heavy breathing, the man desperately back stepping while blocking his blows. Paengi's limbs all were moving at rapid speed, constantly on the offence. Suddenly he jumped slightly, his foot shooting out to kick the foe. As he made impact, the leg kept stretching, launching the foe further and further until he landed out of town. Paengi shot forwards, chasing after him as suddenly he felt a wave of energy. Arriving out of the village too, Paengi stared up as the reptile was now a monstrous beast once again. A foot slammed against where he had been, the silver warrior know running desperately in circles around the foe. He was constantly rolling underneath feet, jumping over a swinging tail, and barely avoiding two disfigured fists. He swallowed, knowing it would be impossible to take off his weights.
The silver warrior shot into the sky, having to redirect his flight to avoid a burst of green flame like energy coming form his opponents mouth. He floated above his opponent, before looking up at the sky. He concentrated, calling all of his energy. He felt his ki exploding inside of him, a silver flare screaming around his body. His limbs stretched, the deep power being called out filling them with energy causing them to grow in width too. His entire body moved outwards, his size massively increasing. He screamed, his muscles bulging as he fought the heavy weights attached to his clothes. His specially made robes and warrior caste gi expanded with him, as his power now reached new levels.
Paengi looked back down at his foe, both of them the same size now, as his entire body fell down with gravity. He slammed his fists down, taking advantage of his momentum to smash his entire body into his foe. A small shock wave shot out from their impact, luckily not strong enough to do any damage to the village. He remained on top of the Godzilla like beast, pounding his ki infused fists into the foe. He would not hesitate, doing anything to serve his people. He screamed, continuing his barrage as his fits landed on his foe faster and faster. He would give no opportunity to react. He jumped up as his foot stretched downwards to smash into his foe, and he floated before executing his next attack. While encased in his aura, staying hovering in the air, all his limbs would take turns stretching. They would shoot downwards, hitting the reptile with all he had, before retreating as other limbs pummeled him. This process would continue on loop for minutes, before Paengi finally stopped. He fell to the ground, watching as the reptile changed back to his humanoid form, unconscious.
Paengi walked to the warrior caste members, now regular sized. In his hand was the alien, as he tossed in onto the ground before the group. "I am Paengi," he said as he took his hood off to reveal his face. "Some of you may remember. Some might not. I was the warrior caste leader before I was mysteriously placed into a coma. I have since awoken from my forced slumber, and my responsibility forces me to reveal myself. We are a proud people, ready to defend our planet. However we have not always been able to. Time and time again, we are invaded by dreaded aliens searching for our powerful artifacts. Now I found ourselves once again unable to defend our planet. A Mazoku rules- but is this good or bad. His ruling may not be perfect but he protects us. I am conflicted, my personal views clouding my judgement. I know that I cannot make any choice, but must leave it to my people. I have come today, to test us. In this time of crisis, our best needs to lead. Whoever that may be, I will ensure they lead. My former leadership means I must attempt to, but if the current leader or any normal members wishes to decline this, we will determine who should lead. Call for all of our most potent members, for we need our best. I have never wanted to lead, but my former master thrust this responsibility on me. Being a leader who had not retired by choice or death, I am forced to seek my own mantle. We today will determine the best leader. Together, we can defend Namek."
[OOC: The former warrior caste leader has come to make sure the best leads- no matter who it may be. I am claiming warrior caste leader. Any may challenge this claim. If no challengers arrive within 72 hours, the position will go to me.]

Somewhere closeby to where all of THAT was happening, bedsheets rustled nervously. Ontop of it, a young Namekian sat in a meditative position, trying his best to keep his wits about him. Rhytid- the Namekian that never really stood out, yet was suddenly being thrown into more important events and happenings than he could keep track of. How it happened...He didn't know, nor could he ever know. Ever since he decided to seek out the Guru and join his cause, his life changed into one big, busy mess. Constant training, meeting new people, talking about political affairs, and hell, even running into the previous Warrior Caste leader, Namorel... Sure, it brought a lot of stress and emotional conflict, but he found it necessary.
After all, no one else proved themselves a suitable candidate to lead instead of Rhytid...
''...What am I even doing here...?'' His eyes suddenly opened, the half-assed trance he had on his meditation cut off as his anxiety rose. Rhytid couldn't shake the events he saw in the Moori Capitol off of his mind. The broadcast of the war- more precisely, the events on Yardrat...It showed exactly what the Saiyans were capable of, and what they would do to Rhytid's beloved planet if they got their hands on it...
It scared him.
Rhytid let out a big sigh, clenching and un-clenching his fists absentmindedly. ''...Get up, Rhy...You have shit to do.'' ...And so, he did. Funnily enough, Rhytid had an easier time clearing his mind whilst training than he did meditating. Just something about working your body to the core, felt like a better distraction than sitting still for hours.
Besides, he was going to need to become a LOT stronger if he was going to fight Super Saiyans someday. Maybe, if Namorel was still around, they could stand a chance, but the bastard disappeared again after Rhytid confronted him about his incompetence...
A true coward, down to the core.
It pissed him off so much that he went around Namek recently informing Warrior Caste members of Namorel's absence, and what sparked it. As he expected, the reactions Rhytid got weren't all too positive. Some may have painted Rhytid as a 'tattletale' for informing the rest, but when your own leader refuses to show his face because he fears his own people...That's where you draw the fucking line.
Good news is, Rhytid going around telling everyone about the shitstorm did raise his own reputation...
Some of the smaller villages were already supporting him!
Still, though, he'd be worthless without more power. A leader needs strength, wisdom, and courage. Lack any of those three, and you're doomed to fail...
The door of his house closed with a satisfying 'CLUNK!', leaving Rhytid outside to take in the fresh air. ''Much better...'' He muttered with a vague grin, taking off into the skies at a moderate, peaceful pace. The Namekian found it a good idea to spend some time inside of the ancient caves he found with Helix, as they proved to be an amazing place to train and harden your body! He'd just have to find a way inside...
''Maybe I can get the Guru to teach me that oxygen tri-...?''
The sounds and visions of a distant fight echoed and boomed in the horizon. Rhytid gazed upon this random mayhem, hearing all of it happening with his sensitive hearing, yet unable to make the scene out clearly. Whatever it was, it sounded like a pretty destructive fight. He hoped to Porunga that it was just some clansman training...
Still, he couldn't help but feel some kind of deeply-buried fear at the sight of a big fight. Namek was, and still is at war with the Saiyans, and who's to say they didn't send some rookies to scout out the power of the Namekians? Rhytid found it best to go there and quickly check it out- so he increased his flying pace to the max, a deep aura of green covering his body!
It wasn't that long of a flight, and Rhytid soon found himself arriving at the scene. He saw a couple of Namekians grouped up over this reptile-looking thing, his gaze growing suspicious as one of them began to talk...
Talk a LOT, that is.
And what he talked about- well...Let's just say that Rhytid wasn't exactly happy with his words.
''Oh, great, another 'former leader' that mysteriously vanished, except this one's even stupider.'' Rhytid let out with a scolding sigh, touching down on the Namekian grounds. The corner of his mouth pulled back into an unamused slant- first Namorel and now...This. Who even was this guy...? Pae-..Pa...Paengi? The name just barely rung a bell in the back of his mind- yet then faded away again once Rhytid remembered just how little this guy actually did for them. ''Atleast Namorel admitted to being incompetent...'' Rhytid paused, stepping a bit closer to the 'former leader' and folding his arms. ''Yet here you are outright claiming you let your personal judgement cloud your decisions, but still want to lead because you 'did so in the past'?''
Rhytid scoffed frustratedly, the grip on his bicep tightening as his face contorted into a disgusted snarl. This was just like his meeting with Namorel all over again...Just how many 'past leaders' were gonna come out of hiding and spew complete bullshit anyway? This is already the second one, who's to say the third won't show up right at this moment?
''Don't make me laugh. I doubt the Caste even remembers who you are.'' His voice was loud and clear, his eyes staring deep into those of Paengi, holding a deep, hidden resentment in them.
''Besides, WE don't need some biased clown to lead just because you feel it necessary. We've already had to deal with more incompetent 'leaders' than we can count, and we sure as hell don't need another one.''
Rhytid has entered the scene, and he is not happy.

[Sax's Thread PL: 11,750] [Heavy Weights Active] [Weighted PL: 2937.5] [Viola's Thread PL: 2937.5]
Meanwhile; at Castle Mazoku, the Dominion's commander Sax had been conversing with several members of their squad about recent events. The lanky Namekian had organized their meeting with the intention to convince them to meet with Guru Helix and is Porungian Sentinels in order to foster a more ironclad alliance for the safety of Namek. Sax would have to start small; having their hand picked team try to gain the overall trust of his fellow Namekians; and doing so through family connections and thus far trusted friends was the best way by far.
Leaving the squadron to converse among themselves for the time-being, Sax retreated to his room to stow his Mazoku Armor away in its rightful place before putting on his traditional Namekian Warrior garb instead. Viola, the little Dragon Caste wizard in training bounded excitedly into Sax's room a few minutes later with an energetic wave. "Hey hey, Sax!"
"Hey Viola! Whats up?" Sax offered a smile as he picked up the smaller Namekian and rested him upon his shoulders and ducking back out of the door along with his prized instrument and snazzy scouter-glasses. "Anything cool happening today?"
Adjusting his wizard hat, Viola puffed out his cheeks in thought. There was that really cool Thylfrog with stripes that showed up in the river, that glowing blue icy rock that he found and put in his toy chest... "Oh, yeah! I heard there was a guy with a silver aura that showed up recently in the Quiet Plains. Some people have said that he was a big-shot of the Warrior caste...? But I only remember Riku and Namorel. Maybe he was from before they were leaders?"
Sax had caught wind of someone that matched that description ended up doing something rather brutal. As such, colour drained from his face immediately, making way for seething crimson rage. 'FUCK!'. In a flash, Sax broke into a run back to their room, shoving the window open so hard that it flew right off of its hinges and into the pond below. "Okay, Viola, I'm about to do something really really dumb. You've got my back, right?" Viola simply booped Sax on the nose. "Yep! Always!"
So, with Viola on his back, Sax leapt out of the window and off into the air...
A short flight later, the duo had come across an interesting scene; there was a scuffle happening below... One of those involved had the silver aura that Viola had mentioned. The other was a shape changing lizard; who had just been defeated, knocked unconscious. Was this the same situation? Was history repeating itself so soon? "HEY, THATS ENOUGH!" Rage building, Sax sped downwards, snatching the alien away before it hit the ground, flying back to the top of a rock. Glaring sharply to the Namekian that had just taken his hood off. "Viola, see to it that this guy gets treated. If they're a troublemaker, I'll set 'em straight later." Sax gently let set the alien down, entrusting them to Viola's care before hopping off the rock, walking towards the group, unflinching anger in his expression directed towards the one that introduced themselves as Paengi a former Warrior Caste leader.
Like clockwork, Rhytid, an ally of Sax had also decided to make an entrance. Rhytid was similarly unhappy and with good reason, making sense of the other Namekian's drivel better than the currently vexed Sax could ever hope to do. Yet, one thing in particular that Paengi said stood out further than Sax's height. Paengi straight up said that he never wanted to lead anyway. "If you don't want to lead the Warrior Caste, then what are you doing right now? Leave. Don't waste our time with these wishy-washy half baked promises and your absence of passion!"

Post by Paengi on Jul 5, 2017 13:38:00 GMT
As the former leader talked, he felt a growing worry in his gut. What if no one showed up? His goal had been to find the best leader as soon as possible- they couldn't afford for this to happen naturally. They needed a catalyst and he would be that role if he needed to. If none of them challenged him, be it by word or fist, he would have failed. He knew there were others who were suited to leading, and if no one stood up to him then he would never find out who those people are. That's when he saw a namekian land nearby, seeming to mutter under his breath as Paengi talked, before finally stepping forward. Before he talked, the warrior caste member stared directly into his eyes. Paengi felt a chill, as he almost backed up for a moment. His whole demeanor seemed very disapproving, but that was a good thing. The more resistance the better.
Suddenly someone swooped down, snatching the reptilian beast from their grasps. Paengi turned, his fists clenching. "That beast is responsible for attacking the god damn village! What the hell do you think you're doing!" Paengi said as suddenly the intervening party declared that the lizard would be healed. Paengi scowled, barely able to believe that they had taken someone that could kill innocents when it woke up. Paengi finally actually looked at the namekian, curious if he too was a warrior caste or not.
"What do you want, besides to take away a monster to heal it?" he asked. "If you're going to take it away from the warrior caste, at least make sure it can't hurt anyone when it wakes up, alright?" he said concerned, the other namekian needed his attention.
The namekian began criticizing him, pointing out he even admitted to having bias. Paengi almost smiled, but had to force himself to stop. It would look weird if he was happy that someone had stepped up.
"I think you misunderstand me," he intervened. "I do not want to lead, but it is my responsibility to. At this moment, the universe is in constant change. God like powers who could all wipe out our people without a fight are clashing, one of them being the demons who rules Namek now. As we are now, the warrior caste is nothing. We need to be stronger. We can not afford to wait around, waiting for the natural selection of leaders to find the right one. We have to make a change." Paengi waited for a moment, not wanting to make two massive speeches without break. "And everyone has our own bias, constantly viewing how we view the world. Is it so bad for me to know I may not be right all the time, to be willing to fight against my instinct? Despite the fact that my view of aliens is from the centuries of abuse, and slaughter they have provided us, I know that there must be some out there that are different. But they are the exception, not the rule. If one Mazoku is one of the good ones, that doesn't make every single Mazoku good. Do you see my point?"
The namekian suddenly pointed out that his people, as his vision burrowed into Paengi. He felt cold, wondering how the hell someone could hate him so much. Did he remind him of someone else?
"Do you think I care if I'm remembered. My goal is not to leave a legacy and be remembered. My goal is to make sure the corps are led by the best person, no matter who it may be. That might be me, that might be you, it could be a fucking Mazoku!" Paengi frowned, not sure if this was a good result or a bad one. On one hand, the warrior definitely would stand up for his people, and had a much more- progressive view on things. But on the other hand, he just wasn't sure if that was the right view right now. Trusting an alien or two was one thing, but treating them like they don't usually visit to cause havoc was another.
The warrior began speaking, obviously incredibly frustrated. Paengi frowned, having spent his to weeks since he woke up primarily investigating what had happened to his planet, not the politics of his clan. Suddenly what Rhytid said struck a chord.
"We? WE? I am a warrior caste too, like it or not! Someone forcing me to sleep in a fucking lake doesn't mean this is no longer my family! Now are you going to find a suitable leader or are you going to keep calling me biased when maybe being cautious is the right call? Just because some idiot was put in charge after me doesn't mean I'm the same. We need a new leader, like it or not!" Paengi scowled once more, not having expected this. Since when were namekians open towards aliens and demons? Finally the second namekian stepped up once more.
"You are right, I don't want to. I have to. I have something called responsibility, to protect our planet and people, to ensure the warrior caste is at it's strongest. That means nothing for my will to serve our caste. I had never wanted to lead, but I was thrust in that position and took it on full heartedly. Now show me a better candidate, I'm sick of this moral debate but no one stepping up. If there's a better contender, I'll gladly step down as long as the best leads!"

Before Peangi had any chance to ramble on further, Rhytid heard a deep, loud, bellowing voice echo out from closeby. The voice was...Strangely familiar, and definitely caught his attention. Rhytid's sights snapped to the loud voice, and he quickly set his eyes upon two very familiar figures. Sax, and his tiny wizard Namekian buddy, Viola. Seems like they also caught wind of this shitstorm...Something told Rhytid that this wasn't going to end pretty. ''Nice day for a walk, isn't it?'' Rhytid shouted over toward Sax and Viola in a sarcastic voice, still holding a tone of frustration and irritation. Looking back toward Paengi, he'd listen on curiously, trying to see if this guy could properly argue for his rash decisions.
He couldn't help but snort at the faulty reasoning Paengi had.
''Your responsibility? Oh man, that is precious.'' Rhytid snorted, an amused, berating grin forming on his face. ''The only thing you should have responsibility for is keeping your own ego in check. Former leader or not, you're just as average as the rest here.''
Another thing Paengi said struck Rhytid as odd, though, and definitely stuck out from the rest of his flawed speech. Curiously, the Namekian raised a brow, a difficult expression on his face as he hummed. ''Wait, hold on- 'Demons who rule Namek now'? Do you mean the Mazoku?'' Rhytid paused, shaking his head disappointedly. Another Namekian that thought too highly of himself, and couldn't help but let the past cloud his visions...Why is it that so many Warrior Caste Members were too dense and stubborn to look at the Mazoku with even the slightest of open mindsets? ''Last time I checked, the Mazoku are nothing but Namekians like you and I, their origin should be of no concern to us right now.'' He spoke bluntly, staring deeply at Paengi.
''If you want to keep shunning and antagonizing the Mazoku, be my guest, but I'd advise against it. 'evil' or not, or whatever bullshit you're spewing, they're the only thing keeping Namek from being whipped into submission.''
Paengi continued talking and trying to set his dumb claim straight, desperately arguing with both Sax and Rhytid as to why he decided to do this in the first place. Apparently, he just wanted the best person to lead- but then why was he so inclined on giving himself the position?
''If you want the best candidate to lead...-'' Rhytid paused, his eyes lowering into thin, glaring slits.
''Then I think we already know who's more suitable.''
Rhytid sighed out, flat-out disappointed by the fact that so many of his own clansman had become blind, racist bigots with an ego complex. He nearly couldn't believe that he once also wrote the Mazoku off as 'inferior' and 'worth less than the 'good willed' Warriors'. First Namorel and his lackey, and now this guy...It didn't help regain Rhytid's trust and hope in his own Caste.
''Enough, Paengi.'' He spoke bluntly and loudly. ''You don't 'have' to lead. There is no such thing as it being your 'responsibility', when the Caste you want to lead doesn't even support your views or actions.''
In truth, Rhytid felt like a know-it-all for having to explain all of this to Paengi- it...Felt like common sense, really.
He didn't have much of a choice, though. He couldn't let this guy end up as his leader...It'd lead to the downfall of the entire Caste.
''A leader is nothing without his people...And trust me when I say this...''
''Our people will never stand behind you.''

"Yes, Rhytid, a positively wonderful day." Sax rolled their eyes at the all too eager Paengi, barely giving him the time of day to respond. It wasn't Sax's fault that Paengi had little restraint, nor was it Sax's fault that Paengi didn't understand the concept of second chances. Given his haughty attitude and mannerisms, Paengi's judgement held little meaning to Sax. If the lizard alien was as awful as Paengi claimed, then Sax wanted to see for themselves. "There is more to healing than you think. It goes beyond the physical realm. If you payed attention to the wider world outside our Warrior Caste, to the Dragon Clan's teachings... Then you would know." To Sax, a leader needed more than an understanding of their own caste in order to work well with other leaders; this was an understanding that from his point of view; Paengi seemed to be lacking.
Paengi spoke of needing to change, he spoke of bias, and none of it struck a chord with Sax... Until Paengi dared to mention 'exceptions to rules'. Spiritual pressure emanated from Sax as he fought back the ignition of his aura. "If one member of any group is bad, does that make the rest of them bad? No. If you were to look into this crowd that is gathered here, without getting to know them personally, would you be able to tell who is truly good or not? No. You can't." Sweeping generalizations of a group of people was one of the many things that had a knack for pissing him off within nanoseconds. "Evil is not a rule. It is taught, and it is learned. It can be forgotten, and it can be undone."
Point quite squarely made; Sax remained silent for a bit. However, as the conversation between Rhytid and Paengi continued, the lanky Namekian found themselves fighting against anger that would surely make them spiral out of control if kept unchecked. Their body became more and more tense as they began to shake. Having been listening in on the conversation since it had started, thereby taking notice of Sax's predicament; Viola floated over to them and tugged on their hand, immediately calming Sax with his presence. The little Namekian pointed towards the alien, indicating that he wanted to speak to the group; thus leaving Sax to keep an eye on them. Sax nodded, taking Viola's former position whilst still listening in on the debate.
"Well, Hi!" Viola began, evidently quite nervous as he was now speaking to a fairly large crowd of people. "I'm Viola, and, um... I think there is something very special that you need to be a leader. A leader isn't much without their people, yeah, but, I don't think a real leader would want their people to stand behind them. I think a real leader would want their people to stand beside them. I think Sax understands that, and I think Rhytid understands too." Adjusting his hat, he turned to Paengi specifically. "Do you understand what that means?"

Paengi scowled growing more and more frustrated. This warrior didn't seem to understand the grasp of the situation. In the universe, clashes of ki were happening and a massive war threatened to destroy their planet. The status quo was not working. In times of war, you could not afford to be trusting. In a normal everyday life where Namek was never destroyed, his way of thinking may be wrong. But right now, this was no time. You had to make assumptions, to be ready for the worst. Paengi didn't care if some aliens weren't bad, or if not all Mazoku were evil. The fact was, you must be ready for these cases! Paengi had experienced this first hand, his planet, people, and himself slaughtered by the red alien. If someone had been there, had been strong enough, it would've been their job to be ready to defend Namek from the alien. Not to trust them, to consider that they could redeem themselves. Aliens were the ones who had to prove themselves, not the other way around. This was a dangerous world, and not the time to be sarcastic. Rhytid began criticizing him, claiming that the fact that he thought it was his responsibility was a sign of his ego, having an amused look on his face. "You think it's a sign of ego, that I want to protect my own people is a sign of me thinking I am amazing? I am a warrior caste, the idea that I wouldn't do everything I can to protect my people is idiotic. And you can claim anyone is average, but it doesn't change the fact that I am one of the suitable candidates for leader. If I am average, let me see who is equal to me so that they can lead," he finished angrily, his silver ki flaring. He was sick of this idiotic debate. The warrior caste member obviously had no idea how major the situation was. He was starting to wonder if this namekian could comprehend what he was saying, seeming to ignore all points he made. "And I think you misunderstand. I did not come here to lead. I came here to make sure we found the best leader. So quit fucking around and claiming I'm on some ego trip when I've made it very clear that if there's a better leader, I'll step down." The warrior caste member than began countering his thoughts on Mazoku, seeming to think that just because they protect the planet now, that they are not evil. "Yes, they lead us. Yes, they protect us. But does that make them okay? We may have to bow down to them and help them, but if we do so we should do it with our fists clenched, waiting for the moment when we know our planet's safety is secured so that we may find a way to strike our oh so benign overlord down. I was there the day he died, when he first made his attack. He killed those who resisted him with no disregard. Do you consider that good? Obviously the demon namekians are pure hearted since their leader killed innocents and forcefully took over the planet, before starting a war! Our people are all in danger now, because he chose to strike! I will never serve him without knowing that the second I can I will find a way to bring him down." Finally, Rhytid seemed to reach his point. He made a bold statement, that if he wanted the best leader, the choice was obvious. Paengi smiled, looking him over. Though he personally disagreed with his views, he was definitely strong willed enough to lead. But that wasn't the only thing the caste needed. Was he strong enough? Was he wise enough to know the true dangers of the aliens and Mazoku, not trusting them overly so due to some exceptions? Paengi feared what could happen under his leadership, but that wasn't up for him to judge. "So we finally announce a new candidate then? No more word games, if you wish to contend me let it be known," he said abruptly, ready for this to be decided already. The other namekian began talking, telling Paengi of second chances and that evil was taught, not something one was born with. Paengi nodded, agreeing with him though perhaps not to the same extent. "I understand. Anyone can be redeemed, you are right. But if someone attacks our people, should we instantly seek their redemption. It is up to us to protect our people first, and let the aliens and Mazoku prove themselves. There is nothing inherently evil to the Mazoku, that is debatable. At heart they are often the shadows of another namekian, their corruption formed into one being. But this is not always the case. You are right, evil is taught. But the demons teach their spawn the ways of evil. If they can find a way to surpass their teaching, to push past the legacy of the Mazoku, then I would be honored to know them. But sadly that is rare. I at heart hope for this to become regular one day, but right now that is not the case. We are the warrior caste, here to defend our people. We can not do this by thinking everyone that is taught to be evil, or only come to Namek for our magic, is good." Suddenly from the side of one of the namekians, a young one began talking. Paengi smiled, proud of his people bringing about such youth. The young namekian talked of what it took to lead, the fact that you must stand by your people, not in front of them. Paengi smiled once more, as he began talking. "Yes young one, I certainly hope I do. There are certainly some people with more- exotic beliefs about outsiders, but as warriors we can't always afford to take that. Despite the surprising amount of namekians that surely follow, did you call him Rhytid- his beliefs-, we have always seen it this way. We have to be cautious, to instinctively treat aliens and demons as enemies first and friends only if they are different. If our people change, if the aliens stop coming for our artifacts and to invade us, if the Mazoku no longer serve to forcefully take over and to kill, then I will change as well." As the whole event seemed to reach a peak, the one the child called Rhytid finally made one last statement. Paengi frowned at his hypocrisy. "You call me the one with an ego, say that I don't understand our people and go against them, and they will never support me, when you are the one challenging our views? You say you know our people won't ever fight by my side, when I have led before and am one of us? This is our views, you disagreeing with that doesn't change it. If so many namekians feel this way, so be it. We will overtime figure this out. If they will never be with me, then who will they be with?"

Helix's gaze locked on a disturbance in the quiet plains. His door swung open, and remained ajar. A green hand plunged into the dresser, reeling back a tattered grey cloak. The fabric rustled as Helix whisked it over his back. Within seconds, the disguised dragon caste was hurrying out the door, a hand on his forehead as he paced towards the edge of the lookout. The tension was still there, that was for sure. Helix cradled his fingers and pulled back his knuckles, cracking his frailing hands. In an instant, the guru's markings turned white, his pupils gave way to a wave of energy, and he was gone. The crowd of warrior castes was joined by a frail old beggar, with a nearly imperceptibly disguised ki. And just then, Sax entered the scene. Helix was taken aback by the rampant hostility of the encounter. Sax seemed uncharacteristically spiteful, and although Rhytid seemed like his normal passionate self, there was some sort of intense repulsion between the two of them towards the offender. Helix finally looked over at the warrior caste who had caused all of this trouble. A strong, strapping fellow with a silver chest plate. The guru knew Sax and Rhytid to be good hearted people, and if this warrior had managed to conjure their rage, then he almost certainly deserved it. And yet, ever since his encounter with Nai and Xylo, Helix had sworn to not fall victim to the voice of the consensus. It was even harder now that he was connected to the spirit force, and constantly in harmony with the voices of the past, their wisdom forming a union that was hard to debate. But Helix would not pass judgement on this individual until he personally tested his resolve. The more this "Paengi" spoke though, the more debatative Helix's mind became with itself. Yes, the Mazoku had given up the outright murder of the dragon caste, just as Helix had worked to allow the dragon caste to cease their propaganda against the Mazoku. But beyond the morality of the Mazoku species itself, Xylo's empire was no small matter. Helix knew that Paengi's words were not true: the Mazoku as a clan were not inherently evil. And yet as much as he knew this truth, he also knew the truth of the namekian spirits he carried with him. The truth of ten thousand dragon castes in his mind, all of their fear and hatred for their fissions. The truth of many of the warrior castes standing around him right now. Which truth was more true? Finally, Helix stepped forwards, pulling back his cloak and revealing his forehead marking. Immediately, several of the warrior castes around him stepped back, and the guru stretched to his full hight, pacing several steps out into the clearing to join the three conflicting parties. "The Mazoku are a clan of our people just like any other," Helix spoke suddenly, "The distinction must be drawn between fissions of pure evil and the natural born mazoku Namekian."Helix's mouth slackened slightly. "And even fissions are rarely so cleanly cut."
The guru smiled dryly. "Greetings to all."Suppressed — T4 SHOP

Rhytid watched and listened as the debate unfurled further, and spiraled into complete nonsense because of it. It was fairly obvious that everyone present was emotionally charged, and the words that were spoken might've been a bit too harsh. Despite all their conflicting ideas and morals, they were still all brothers, and allies. They all had the same goal in mind: The safety of Namek. It was just...Very disappointing to see the debate go down like this. All of it was so unnecessary- this hatred for the Mazoku, this racism toward 'aliens' and 'demons', all of this resentment...Rhytid too felt it someday, but that was in the past. Through his interactions with the Guru, as well as various Mazoku soldiers, Rhytid had changed. The Namekian now realized that they needed the Mazoku, now more than ever. ...He just hoped Paengi realized the same, yet he doubted it. He doubted it oh so much. ''I can't support someone that holds the idea for a revolution in the back of their head while we're at war with a much bigger threat. I won't support someone filled with that much hatred and resentment.'' Rhytid sighed out disappointedly. He truly hated to see his own clansman go down this path of anger and rage, yet could he really blame them? He understood the negativity, ofcourse he did...But he still couldn't let someone that was so guided by their negativity lead his Caste. He refused.
The debate further spiraled out of control, the topic at hand becoming so warped that Rhytid had trouble actually following the conversation in the first place. From what he knew, they came here to talk about the Warrior Caste, and its potential new leader...But all they've done is talk about the Mazoku, and other 'evils'.
Rhytid let out an annoyed hum, the grip on his own biceps tightening as he lowered his head to the ground. Eyes closing tightly, he thought all of it over, every little tidbit. He tried his best to think of a potential solution to this whirlpool of emotion and confusion- yet his mind blanked.
They'd never find a solution if one of the two parties wouldn't back down.
...And Rhytid had no intentions of backing down yet.
Opening his eyes, however, Rhytid spotted an all-too-familiar face joining the scene from the corner of his eye. Unveiling himself, their very own Guru happened to have been listening to the conversation ever since it began- simply disguised... Rhytid couldn't help but feel a shred of doubt in the back of his head- what if he said something wrong? What if his emotions made him say something stupid, and he hadn't even realized it yet...?
He shook his head, however, simply nodding toward the Guru as he refocused on Paengi. ''...Greetings, Guru Helix. My apologies that you have to witness this.'' Rhytid spoke. There were more important matters at hand than the reputation Rhytid had to uphold.
Rhytid tapped his bicep impatiently, growing more and more frustrated because of how much this debate had spiralled out of control. It'd carry on like this for hours upon hours if someone didn't intervene, or hurry it along. The Namekian figured he'd be the one to bite the bullet, and stop beating around the bush.
It was time to get to the point.
''All this talk about fissions, evil, aliens and the Mazoku...Can you even listen to yourself talk?'' Rhytid groaned out, finally stepping up with his head held high. He took a few steps forward, all sense of doubt or uncertainty lost. The confidence nearly radiated off of him. ''I'm sick of all this senseless speech. While we're here arguing about good and evil, and whatever else, Xylo furthers his war on the Saiyan Empire, leading his- no, OUR people, to a certain death.''
He let the words sink in for a moment, before continuing.
''Don't you see? It's not just Xylo that is at war...It's us. WE are at war with the Saiyans. NAMEK, is at war. Do you really think I care about whether or not the Mazoku are truly evil, at this point?! When our planet could get attacked at a moment's notice!?'' Rhytid began to raise his own voice against his will, the sharp nails on his hands starting to dig deep into his arm out of sheer frustration.
''All I care about is the safety of our planet...And to make sure it doesn’t get abused, or destroyed again. If that requires working together with the Mazoku, and their 'aliens' and 'demons', then so be it!'' Rhytid lashed out an arm to the side as if he was swiping something away, taking with it a hefty gust of wind that blew over the quiet plains. It was quite obvious that he was starting to get emotional, despite looking to stern and collected earlier.
''I might not agree with their views, or choices, but I’ll do what it takes to see our people safe. The Mazoku are not what we need to look out for, neither are the ‘aliens’ and ‘demons’ you speak of...It’s the Saiyans. THEY are our enemy in this war, and them alone.''
Rhytid looked down, taking in a heavy breath through his nose before looking up again. His eyes glistened with a passionate fire, and his expression was filled with concern and care. Care for his planet, and his people. ''If we want to survive...We need to work together. All three Castes...Warrior, Dragon, and Mazoku. It's time that we work together- in harmony.'' The words he spoke were not his own- Rhytid was merely reciting something a very smart Mazoku Namekian had told him weeks earlier, words that stuck with him ever since. He sent a glance toward Sax, and smiled weakly.
However, his smile was short-lived. His face contorted once more into a passionate glare, and he looked at Paengi.
''You want to clearly know who's a better candidate than you, Paengi? Black on White?''
Rhytid was about to sound very egotistical. ''I am.''
Rhytid oozed confidence and conviction. The Namekian truly did believe that he was the most suitable candidate. It wasn't a matter of ego, or pride, or anything...Merely experience, as well as the events that lead up to today. ''I may not be the strongest...But I’ve worked myself to the bone to ensure Namek is a safer, and better place. Both the Guru, as well as Sax over there, can attest to that.'' Rhytid claimed truthfully, sending glances toward both their ways, another nod sent toward the Guru out of respect.
Rhytid let out a long sigh- it was time to spill the beans on one more thing. One interaction that opened his eyes, and changed him forever. ''No one here knows this yet...But I met with Namorel recently, and I can say truthfully that it opened my eyes as to what a Leader needs. He was unaware of anything that was happening to our people- showed little care...As I confronted him about it, his pupil had the audacity to frame me as the villain. After that meeting, Namorel abandoned us again- left us, and the entire Caste, to rot and die. And that’s when I realized it. That's when I realized what it takes to be a leader.'' Rhytid's tone was sad and melancholic. He obviously felt betrayed by his former leader, and it was still hard to accept what had happened.
Rhytid clenched his fists, trying to fight back his building emotions as best as he could.
''Allow me to lead the Caste. If I fail...IF I fail...You have every right in the world to take the position from me.''

"Hrrmmm." Viola tapped his chin, very clearly thinking about what was being said over the course of the conversation now. Paengi wasn't particularly bad in the young Namekian's opinion; simply misguided and potentially a bit too overzealous or paranoid. "I think we can always afford to be kind... The problem is, um..." Viola thought even harder as he closed his eyes, to the point where he scrunched up his face thereby making the goofiest expression manageable, looking as if he was frozen mid sneeze. "I got it!" He opened his eyes and clapped his hands together once. "The problem is that we mistake kindness for sub-ser-vi-ence" He spoke while carefully sounding out the last word. "Besides, an enemy is just a friend you can't make yet!" In a universe like this, such a way of thinking could prove dangerous-- far too idealistic. Yet, for a moment, it caused a curious reaction to some Namekians in the crowd. Some were adamant that it was foolish, but others truly wanted to believe it. Perhaps this reaction came about because a young Namekian-- their combined hope for the future-- had said it? Soon; another voice of reason would arrive; the Elder Guru himself according to Rhytid. "Wait!!" Viola gasped and quickly waddled over to where Helix was standing, leaving a comical trail of kicked-up dust in his wake. "You're the Guru?! That means..." He vibrated excitedly before floating upwards to see the iconic tattoo on the Guru's face that Sax had at some point mentioned. "Oh my gosh, you're grunkle Helix!!"
The usually fairly fortified 'mental glass' in Sax's mind shattered immediately, his face and almost his entire body became incredibly pale out of embarrassment as he broke into a cold sweat. Sure, Viola had his back, but he was still a rather excitable child. "Ohhh, I'm gonna barf." Sax dropped the shapeshifting lizard that he was holding onto the ground below as he sat down and curled up into a ball, before slowly slid down off of the rock thus landing next to the unconscious alien. "I can handle a stubborn knucklehead but not this. Hrrfgh... Aw jeez." Calming himself with some breathing routines, Sax was soon able to stand again. Despite that sudden fit of light-headedness, he was still paying attention; but he was just in time for something really important. Rhytid absolutely roasting Paengi and his point of view. Sax was proud that Rhytid thought about more than just the Warrior Caste or potential leadership, he understood it was more than that... Even going so far as to quote something Sax had said a few weeks ago. In truth, Sax had to keep himself from flat out crying; this was the first time outside of his own family or the Mazoku Dominion that he had heard word for word say and undeniably believe in something he had once said. Waiting for Rhytid to finish his speech, Sax had something important to say. From his point of view, Paengi been looking at the Warrior Leader position all wrong; he idealized it, made it something completely than it was... Therefore missing the point. However, Sax knew one other thing for certain; Paengi cared for Namek much like everyone else. Sure, it might be all he cared about, but it was a start. That start could still lead to him opening his mind. So, Sax stepped forward to face the Silver Warrior. "Paengi. I can tell you care for this world; but you are too narrow minded. Have you ever stepped foot on any other planet? I have. There are people out there just like you that care for their worlds too... But, there are also people like me, who care for all of them. I am a leader, yet not of a whole caste; I lead only a handful of people; and I've made a difference to many. One that I cannot even begin to explain. You can be a leader too, but it doesn't have to be attached to a title; a leader isn't a made from a title. Its a way of life, a way of being, a way of thinking. This is about more than the Warrior Caste. I want to lead Namek to a future where we can be safe yet still welcoming of those that need help to change and grow away from their 'evil' ways. If you wish to lead the Warrior caste, you must recognize this as your primary responsibility." Paengi , your move!

Paengi listened to the young namekian, not sure what subservience had to do with the conversation, but hearing the thought irregardless. He shook his head at the last line, it being a foolish thought. "I would rather let a proven enemy that is a danger to our planet and people fall, then foolishly believe they will redeem themselves while they simply attack us again. If someone wants to redeem them self, it is up to them to prove this. Warrior caste members are responsible for guarding- not to let people who have killed us or tried to get a second chance. If they fall for such an evil, then they need to work harder to prove that they have changed." Now he turned to the foolish Rhytid, seeming too stuck in his own ways. Did he not know how to listen? "And I can't support someone who halfheartedly supports someone so evil! The problem is not the Mazoku, or the aliens! The problem is that Xylo leads the Mazoku and continues their ways of evilness. I cannot believe that a member of the warrior caste would be willing to follow someone so dreadful! HE HAS KILLED INNOCENT NAMEKIANS! It is because of him that we are at war, that at any moment someone will come and destroy us all! We cannot ally with someone like that unless we are willing to end him once possible!" He could not believe what he was hearing. He was criticized for not wanting to follow a horrid namekian mindlessly? Suddenly before the argument could continue, a wise robed namekian stepped out. Paengi's eyes widened as the spiral revealed itself. He bowed his head in deep respect, as he spoke. "Greetings guru. I am honored to be in your presence." He nodded, agreeing with his argument. "You are right, it is unfair for me to not distinguish between the two. However the main concern is not who they are- it is what they do, who they are led by, and what they continue to teach," he said before listening to Rhytid, which made him want to groan. "Do you not listen to yourself? You said it- Xylo leads us all to our death! If this war is continued, it cannot end well for us! We must find a way to negotiate without Xylo, and only support him when needed. Do you seek to go to other planets, attacking others so that our demon overlord can get more of us killed? I don't see why who the enemy in the war is relevant. Our job is to defend Namek, not to attack others. We should wait here, for any to come, while seeking for a way to remove Xylo while simultaneously securing peace. And yes, we must work together. But not without thought! War does not mean we side with evil! War means we seek peace that evil wishes to prevent! We can ally ourselves with some of the Mazoku, the ones that are not horrendous. With these, we can build a new caste of Mazoku." At this point, Rhytid finally made his claim. Rhytid. "You think yourself the better leader? Why? You want to ally ourselves with Xylo in the war, and nothing else. You think it is so wrong to plan his downfall? I can not let someone who thinks Xylo is a force for good lead. And Sax- what you say is meaningful. If I were to lead, I cannot just defend us. I must move forward. But we cannot move too fast, and without reason. Moving forward so that we may no longer treat aliens or mazoku as enemies is one thing- but allying ourselves with a villain and never betraying them? That is another."

Did it hurt to hear someone speak so vehemently against Helix's brother? Surprisingly, a little bit.
But Paengi was a product of the new climate Xylo unleashed over namek, and he had every right to resent the new regime and despise it's leader. Helix himself was working as actively as possible every day in disarming the mazoku and undermining Xylo's authority on the home front. But he cared for his brother nonetheless.
Moments later, Helix was greeted by the tiny magician of a namekian, floating up to meet Helix eye to eye. Another nephew? "Yes, I am Helix Crust," he reciprocated warmly, "It is a pleasure to meet you, though I can't say I know your name."
Helix looked over at Sax, who seemed to be having a bit of a panic attack over the small namekian's attitude. In order to quell the tall mazoku, Helix affectionately placed Viola on his shoulder.
Suddenly though, things became tense again. Rhytid launched into a widely varied argument, identifying saiyans as the main enemy of this era of namekian history. Helix cringed slightly, and opened his mouth to interject… But no words emerged. Rhytid simply wanted the best for the planet— But his concept that the ends justified the means was troubling.
As the young warrior upstart wound closer and closer to his point, Helix's brow raised in anticipation. Was he going to suggest..? Yes, Rhytid suggested that he lead the warrior caste himself!
Moments after his nomination, Rhytid turned to Sax, and then Helix, searching for the guru's approval. Helix nodded, somewhat in shock of the turns that the conversation had taken.
Sax stepped forwards next, giving Rhytid his full support and advising Paengi on a good path.
When Paengi spoke, it was to argue the concept that the ends of protecting namek justified the means of supporting the Mazoku's war. Helix couldn't help but agree with this point. But as Paengi continued to argue, his claim that Rhytid was an ally of Xylo caused the guru to finally interject.
"Rhytid is no ally of Xylo—" Helix turned to his warrior apprentice, "As far as I know." The guru stepped a bit more forward. "He is one of my closest operatives in working to circumvent my brother's control over namekian culture."
Helix turned back to Rhytid now, "Namek's safety is the ultimate concern, but allying with the tyrant who puts it at risk—Or mistaking his foes for our own—is a dangerous game."
The guru looked at Rhytid with concern, and spoke ever so slightly more quietly, hoping to communicate his sentiments but not infuriate the already passionate namekian. "This is Xylo's war, not ours."
Helix's chest slowly filled with air, and then deflated. What was the use of him playing idealogical chess against his own kinsmen? Eventually, this conflict had to boil down to a verbal defeat, or a physical altercation.

Grunkle Helix.
Rhytid couldn't help but let a small snort escape his lips.
Despite the serious nature of this debate and what-not, he still had to hold in his laughter at Viola's shenanigans. The Namekian really was glad that Sax showed up with the small Namekian- it made this mind-numbingly annoying debate just a tiny bit bearable. Rhytid would've probably already lost his temper if it was just him and Paengi arguing. Nevertheless, he was still beyond annoyed at the entirety of this 'conversation'. Regurgitated arguments were being tossed around with little to no meaning, as if everyone was trying to talk to a brick wall, including Rhytid. Even he started to realize that everything he said was counterproductive and only dragged things out more and more- but still... He had to hold his ground, didn't he? He let out a long, tired sigh as Paengi continued to lose his mind and raise his voice more and more. At this point, Rhytid was barely even paying attention to any of his words...It was all the same anyway. ''Evil Xylo is bad! Mazoku also eviL! NO SUPPORT! IS BAD! NO EVIL THEY EVIL REEEE!!'' Was sadly all Rhytid could salvage from the overly emotional Namekian's words. Ignoring that whole spiel to the best of his abilities, his gaze turned toward the Guru as he stepped up. His words held a lot more weight to the Namekian, and Rhytid couldn't help but feel a tad uncomfortable at the doubt Helix voiced of Rhytid's thoughts and decisions. ''It...It is indeed dangerous.'' Rhytid sighed out, his eyes gazing off into the distance. ''I think I didn't make myself clear enough, but I am no ally of Xylo.'' He spoke loud and clear, a serious gaze moving towards Paengi. ''Nor do I ever intend on being one.''
He let a small silence wash over the crowd, before continuing. ''I won't ever directly help him accomplish his tyrannical goals. I simply wish for a truce, so we can bury all of this senseless violence between the Castes.'' Rhytid's voice was as clear as it could be- almost insultingly clear, as if he was trying to REALLY make sure his words came across this time around. ''What use is there in antagonizing eachother when our planet is at danger? We're digging our own graves by doing so...'' He sighed out melancholically. This entire topic...It's been something Rhytid has thought and meditated over for weeks on end now. Every decision was a difficult one, but he felt it necessary.
''What Xylo is doing is wrong beyond a doubt, yet it is too late to turn back.'' Rhytid paused after his sentence, and breathed in deeply.
He turned to Helix.
''This is indeed Xylo's war, Guru Helix...But Xylo leads Namek- ALL of Namek...'' It was quite obvious that Rhytid was having trouble standing against Helix- but he really found it needed to be addressed. ''We are not an exception in the eyes of the Saiyans. They will stop at nothing to ensure of Xylo's defeat, and their lust for revenge for all the blood that stains his hands.'' His mind flashed back to the horrors he saw in the Moori Capitol a few days ago. That broadcast from Yardrat...It truly showed just how bloodthirsty and vicious the Saiyans were against Xylo's forces. Rhytid feared that the innocent Namekians would too become casualties of war if they were allowed to set foot on Namek.
''Even us innocent Namekians will either be killed or enslaved by them if they win.''
Rhytid sighed out again, shaking his head apologetically. ''I am sorry, Guru Helix. I too wish we could remain pacifists, and not be forced to fight for the sake of our planet...But we have no choice but to defend this place with our lives, until this war ends.'' Rhytid's tone turned desperate and grim, if not a little bit sickened. All he wanted was a life of peace, yet he too was being forced into acting, whether he wanted to or not.
''The Warrior Caste must become responsible for the defense of Namek, is what I think. To grow strong enough to ward off the Saiyans, or anyone else that wishes to harm our people...THAT is what we must do.''
He turned his head to gaze at everyone present, a look of conviction in his eyes. ''Xylo can fight his own war, yet we cannot sit around and wait for this to blow over...We must prepare as well. The Saiyans will NOT listen to reason, or forgive us...''
Rhytid closed his eyes briefly, thinking all of through momentarily. After a brief pause, his eyes opened again with a nod. He turned to all of the Namekians again, trying to see what their reactions were to his words. No matter what they thought, Rhytid had finally figured out how to word his true goal.
''We cannot fight against Xylo, nor will we fight with Xylo. All we will do...''
''Is protect our planet.''

Upon the confirmation that Helix was indeed the person Viola had guessed he was, the tiny Namekian offered a hand for a handshake rather abruptly when Helix put a hand on his shoulder. "I am Viola!!" He blurted out excitedly. "I'm uh... Whats that word? Adoopey? Additive? Adopted? Yeah, adopted!" Viola was keeping positive; and in a way looking at this situation from an objective and logical standpoint even if he didn't notice. The tiny Namekian followed behind Helix as the Guru walked forward to get a word in on the conversation. All the while, he listened to what was going on. Sax wasn't really able to keep positive. While he tried to look at the situation critically like Viola was unknowingly doing; he found himself increasingly unable to. Paengi spouted the exact same thing no matter what Rhytid replied with. Out of anyone here, Paengi said Xylo's name with a level of ignorant contempt that Sax could almost no longer handle. The hell did this upstart metallic second-place-silver armor wearing punk know?! Paengi might as well denounce the entire Mazoku Caste outright, and anyone even slightly involved with Xylo if he was this dead set on unwavering hatred! It was in that moment, that Sax had an idea... The lanky Namekian took a deep breath, looking over to Rhytid, Helix and Viola with a sombre expression; mouthing 'sorry' preemptively because of what he was about to do. Sax's eyes narrowed on Paengi. "You can disagree with me and put forward a differing opinion, that's fine. But the second that you dare to tell my friend that he is something he is not; you have proven you are not worthy. You are too narrow minded. You have little belief in others being able to improve themselves. You react with hostility to anything that contradicts your thought patterns. If you deny the possibility that Xylo can be swayed from this path he is taking, not only have you given up... But you no longer believe in me as a fellow Namekian or possible ally. I can help Xylo change. Do you want to know why? It's simple, really." Sax took his scouter-glasses off, throwing them over his shoulder to either Rhytid, Viola or Helix for he knew that one of them would catch this item. Now looking at Paengi properly; without his eyes hidden behind those lenses, Sax's eyes were rounded and innocent, yet alight with a stalwart tenacity that did not match his calm expression... "I am Xylo's son."
Viola meanwhile, tugged on Helix's robes. "Grunkle Helix? Can I tell you what I think?" He asked, awaiting confirmation before floating upwards and speaking. "I think... Paengi feels too much. If he is too e-mo-ti-on-a-ly charged then..." Viola pondered nervously "Uhm. If he feels too much, then it could be bad. Sax can't be the Warrior Leader because," The tiny Namekian knew what was happening as soon as Sax silently apologized. "You-know-why. Rhytid is a bit rough; but he thinks with his smarty-brain then his heart. Isn't that the proper way? He might need to be stronger though; I heard there was a trial a potential leader needs to go on, and hes not tough enough right now... C-can you help him?" Viola held his hands together as if to pray, his eyes widening like a sad puppy. "Please? I don't want them to start fighting if Paengi doesn't like what Sax says."

Not a word of reply from either Paengi or their very own Guru, Helix. From their perspective, Rhytid could understand the silence, but he didn't approve of it. His words were harsh, and the blunt truth of it all- a bitter pill to swallow for everyone present. Ofcourse he understood this, but unlike most Namekians, Rhytid could see the bigger picture. He knew what had to be done, and accepted this fact. Sax, the only one present that was actually a part of the Mazoku Caste, stepped up to defend Rhytid further. The lanky, tall Namekian sent a glance toward Rhytid. His expression was grave...Too grave. His features spoke a million words without speaking a single one. The Warrior Clansman had a vague idea as to what he was about to do...And a surge of concern chilled his body. Eyes widening momentarily, Rhytid was afraid of how Paengi would react, concerned that he would harm his friend if he was to know the truth. Yet in the end, Rhytid shook off his fears, understanding it had to be done.
Before Sax turned to face Paengi, Rhytid sent him a reassuring nod.
Rhytid took a step back as Sax explained his concerns regarding the Warrior Clansman, and went on to tell him the flaws his vision held in vivid detail. The defense Sax put up for Rhytid's vision and goals warmed his heart- he truly felt like someone understood him in that moment, something that he felt almost no one did. Not even his own Caste members... Yet, Sax...Sax understood him, despite being of the Mazoku. He was the reason Rhytid came to believe what he does today. Because of him...He felt hope.
Hope for his people.
Hope for all Castes to live in haromy.
Hope for his planet.
Nothing was lost yet.
There was hope.
Yet the hopeless silence of Paengi spoke volumes about his goals- HIS vision. Or, more accurately, his lack of one. In that moment, Rhytid's body surged with newfound confidence and determination to protect his people, and his planet. His fists clenched tightly, unable to come to terms with the fact that a Namekian like Paengi would come to lead their Caste. Only him and Sax could put an end to this hopeless future before it had the chance to become a reality. To have someone like Paengi lead his people... How could he ever accept that?!
''Enough!'' Rhytid shouted, finally freeing his arms from their folded position. His muscles bulged in defiance, ready to put an end to this farce. ''I tire of this senseless debate! All this talking is getting us nowhere!'' Rhytid hissed with what seemed to be limitless confidence. The Namekian's fists clenched tightly, his eyes narrowing as they glared straight at Paengi.
He breathed in slowly, before thrusting his chest forward with a deep, bellowing 'Oomf!'. In an instant, Rhytid's entire body began expanding in size and mass, veins and muscles pumping and pulsating as the Namekian soon doubled, no, tripled...Quadrupled in size!
Rhytid now stood at a gargantuan size, yet unlike most giant, transformed beings, Rhytid was not blinded by hatred or bloodlust. All he felt was defiance toward Paengi, a limitless passion to show the narrow-minded, racist Namekian that his Caste did not want him to lead.
In this moment, Rhytid felt as if he was representing all of the Warrior Caste, if not all of Namek.
He was their voice.
''Your futile attempt at taking the mantle of Warrior Caste leader ends here, Paengi!'' Rhytid's gargantuan voice boomed throughout the plains. Arms clenched at his side, his muscles continued to swell and pulsate under Rhytid's immense size, weight, and power.
''Time after time you have shown us that you're an unfit leader, someone who will only lead our Caste into further disarray!'' His voice was powerful enough to shake trees, and make grass curl up in sheer intimidation. The Namekian's Gi flowed in the wind, a breeze that passed through and whistled over the scene. A stern gaze was sent right at the narrow-minded Namekian, his eyes burning with passion.
''You merely waste our time.''
An arm was extended forwards, Rhytid's massive palm outstretched and aimed right at the Namekian, Paengi. Rhytid's expression was stoic and courageous- in his mind, he truly thought this was the only way of putting this senseless chaos to rest. Words had no use, and so he was forced to use violence instead.
''I'm sorry.''
An apologetic nod was sent toward Paengi as his arm began crackling in Ki. While a racist idiot, Paengi was still a brother of his. Sadly, this was the only way Rhytid found to finally drive some sense into that dense brain of his. He would think twice before deciding to take up the mantle again after this.
''Destruction Wave.''
A shimmering wave of crackling, green energy blasted out of the Namekian's palm. It hissed and screeched across the plains, aiming to knock the Namekian unconscious, as to finally end this meaningless conflict.
FOUR Days have passed, so I'm skipping both of you since this is taking WAYYY too long! Sorry for the inconvenience!
