''HELL!''Before Friion could muster up a response, the arrogant Arcosian fell victim to the trap door beneath his small, now puffy body. Falling into the void, he had some time to think. So this was the Afterlife, was it? He wasn't quite...himself, however. His actual body was lost , and now he had become whatever this strange cloud-like form was. As he fell deeper through the pit, the hatch closed above him and drowned him into a void of darkness. If only he were stronger. He began to lament his own weakness, cursing himself for not taking his training more seriously rather than agreeing to that stupid ''vacation''. This was all his own fault. The Solar Empire were going to win, again, and he knew it. Just the thought boiled the blood in his right now nonexistent veins, but his cloud-like structure began to wave and billow like flames. Just when he thought the void would never end, he saw a light at the end of the tunnel; quite literally, as it were. He broke through clouds into red skies, which eventually gave way to violet and yellow hues. Unable to stop his descent without his actual body, Friion was forced into a nose dive right into a fountain full of what he hoped to be red water. He saw another little puffy fellow in a rowboat enjoying a day out, so he decided to try and steer himself toward that. Impacting from the skies like a puffy little mortar shell, his impact caused the rowboat to uplift on the opposite end and quite literally catapult the little snot right out of the watercraft. Sailing over the exterior of the fountain, he would slam into a big brutish ogre's back who promptly turned around and put him in a headlock before submitting him to a torturous noogie, the ogre's huge knuckles grinding and twisting on the puff ball's top. Acting like he hadn't seen a damned thing, he decided to act casual and try to propel the boat around as best he could. It did give him time to think, at least, what with the ogre distracted by pounding the daylights out of the other spirit. Friion thought back to Yardrat; there was no way of telling how things had turned out, though if he had to guess it ended up as a total loss. Almost everyone there belonging to the Arcosian Empire had died in short order, and only one powerful being had stood with them as opposed to the several strong fighters with the Saiyans. Had it not been a loss, it was now only a matter of time. It was just then that he was reminded of Soma, the new Force leader. He had only assumed the worst, but down here all the spirits pretty much looked the same. He'd have no idea if they ended up in the same place or not, much less being able to pick the little (literally) bugger out of a crowd. Humbled at a loss for what to do, he continued paddling about with the specially designed oars. It was certainly tough to do, but it was at least relaxing and helped him acclimate a little bit to his new surroundings. A thought had struck him, though; if the ogres could take physical form, surely others could as well! With this one singular hope glaring in his mind, he now hoped to find Soma and speak to him about the possibility. The odds of their meeting would be incredibly slim, but there was at least that slim chance there. After that though, then what? It wasn't like they could return to the world of the living...

Having gotten a little curious about the outer areas of Hell, the bug based amalgamation spirit wondered off away into one of the more restrictive areas of hell. How he was able to get out of the scrutinizing eyes of the overseeing ogres escaped the creature's mind, but he actually made it into an odd portion of hell, in which there was a gigantic tree of sorts. Hovering into the area, he could spot a couple of golden fruits hanging from above, dangling tantalizingly from above. Before he could think more about it, he heard a booming voice shouting at him from across the way.
"GET OVER HERE YOU FLACHWICHSER!"
An angry red ogre blasted from his guard position near the tree of evil fruits and junk, angry over the fact that a stray spirit got within the perimeter of the gold fruit tree. Bustling over towards Soma, the lavender spirit picked up the pace to bolt off in the opposite direction, not wanting to deal with that can of worms that he accidentally opened. And so it began, the big chase of Ogre and Spirit, running through the underworld at breakneck pace.
The chase didn't last very long as the ogre caught up very quickly in under a minute, pummeling Soma's spirit up a bit before dragging him all the way back to the blood pond. Explaining in full detail that he should never go there, as that was King Yenma's personal tree fruit thingy, as it held the underworld's most delicious fruit. Then again Somatotrope didn't know whether to believe him or not because the ogre also spouted on and on about a bunny rabbit who lived on the moon trying to get a fruit and ending up a personal pet as that ogre for a good three years. Apparently he was named 'Herr Hase,' and wound up disappearing after a demon went on an eating spree of defenseless souls.
The lavender spirit already worn out at the edge of the pool, accidentally flopped on the ground unintentionally by someone he would actually know, as his voice croaked out of the core of the spirit, "Ouuuuuch... He could've just kicked me out nicely. And he could've spoken in a language I can understand. If Daria was here she'd... Well, she's hopefully better still alive, seeing as how she isn't here anymore."
Picking up a bad habit of talking to oneself due to him being all on his lonesome, he just let loose his own thoughts every once in a while.

Just as he was beginning to collect his thoughts on his new surroundings, he heard shouting. His puffy form twisted and turned as his boat slowly floated onward thanks to his paddling, even though he was curiously dashing up and down the vehicle in frantic fashion. Peering over the side of his row boat, a peculiar event immediately occupied his attention. A lavender colored little puff ball much like himself seemed to frantically be trying to escape one of the big red brutes much like the one he'd flung out of the boat had. The ogre was gaining ground fast, and it was only a matter of time before the little spirit was caught and roughed up. Admittedly, Friion had no idea what the spirit had done. The ogres in general seemed very quick on the draw and even quicker to anger, and maybe it all just came down to the fact they liked to bully the little things around because they knew they couldn't really defend themselves. How shameful. He watched as the little lavender puff began speaking to itself by the edge of the pool, and he would make his move. Something about that voice sounded very familiar, and he was consumed with the desire to find out precisely who this was. After the attacks on Arcosian space, it wasn't exactly impossible for that soul to belong to someone who fell in the invasion just as he had. As he gently paddled closer and took out a small hook to attach the boat to the rim of the pond and park it, he'd look down at the spirit while scooting off to the corner closest to it. He heard a mention of a ''Daria'', but that voice was unmistakable. For a moment, Friion was ravaged by guilt; he had a strong feeling of who this was, cast down into Hell lonely and confused and overwhelmed just as he had been moments prior. It was only due to his military experience that he was keeping his cool, but he knew nothing about this recently met figure that could suggest the same. Maybe it was best to speak up and offer a little bit of support; after all, neither of them knew who survived, if anybody. ''Squad Leader Somatotrope!,'' He began. ''What a pleasure it is to see you again, though under regretful circumstances as it is. It saddens me to see you down here with me. The last I remember of you is that Saiyan being hot on your heels into the city. You don't have to explain a thing if it makes you feel better. We were all woefully unprepared for those reinforcements.''
''Not long after your departure, the gummy one's lackey brought a swift and gruesome end to my life. I suppose in this kind of situation it would be best to try and see the silver lining, mm? Yes, we're both in Hell, but on the other hand...we are in Hell. At least we've company, so there's that. There's still plenty i'm trying to make heads or tails of, but for the time being perhaps our time would be well spent deciding on a new course of action.'' He thought of his earlier shot-in-the-dark theory about somehow being able to regain your body's form in the afterlife, Hell or otherwise. ''I see these Ogres running around pummeling us defenseless spirits, and it makes me wonder; are they the only ones capable of reclaiming their physical forms? I somehow doubt they would be so eager to throw punches and bully us around if we were capable of doing so.'' Was it a long shot? Probably. He couldn't just sit here and exist for eternity like this, though. He had to do something. He thought back to rumors of fallen enemies on both the side of Arcose and the Solar Empire making sudden reappearances on the battlefield; he initially dismissed this as the wonders of cutting edge medical technology, but now he wasn't so sure. He'd never been all that superstitious but sitting here surrounded by the landscapes of Hell was making him a bit more open-minded.

With a new voice piercing the pressuring air of the afterlife, the puffy body of Somatotrope practically shot up as he was getting ready to bolt once more, the feelings of needing to escape still prominent in his mind. Though he calmed down upon hearing the voice, his spiritual body turning around to face the friendly voice, not recognizing him at first due to both the appearance and the brief interaction they only had. Though the longer that this spirit spoke, recognition dawned upon him. It was Friion! Sadness overcame him, as it meant that he had died as well.
Hovering in front of him, Friion continued his little long spiel, him being quite long winded in his speaking. And it of course was perfectly fine that Soma didn't need to respond, not wanting to talk about how he had met his end with the psychotic saiyan who squished him as if the amalgamation himself was an insect. And it made sense that the one who took his life was that demon smelling woman who was sparring with him before they all split apart. But it was still shocking that he was ended in such a vicious fashion. And seeing as how they were ended immediately, he had thought that Daria and Blue might be joining them momentarily.
"It's... a pleasure seeing you again, despite our... circumstances," Soma said in a nice tone, softer than the one he had used back on the battlefield, a complete demeanor change since he wasn't under the influence of Daria's power enhancing drug. Letting him continue on, Friion spoke about the ogres having bodies, which didn't seem weird to the bio-android due to them belonging down here and the like as the employees of the big red ogre who passed judgement down to him.
"Honestly," Somatotrope began, his tone rather calm despite being a little shaken, "Some of the ogres are alright, and it seems they own their bodies through natural means rather than re-attaining them. Heck, we're here for the rest of our lives... Er, afterlives? It's just rather humiliating losing my life to such a barbaric person."
Pausing a little, he let his voice stop a bit as he wanted to get some information, despite him not liking the most likely answer....
"D... Do you know anything about Daria? What happened to her, I mean? And Blue too?"

The bio-android's tone of speaking had changed fairly drastically from what Friion had remembered. He sounded more gentle here, his tone of voice softer. The Arcosian felt bad for the creature; it looked like he'd startled him out of some troubling thoughts when he'd began to speak to him, but he seemed to be calming down alright now at least. Friion hadn't taken into account the possibility that Soma could be lamenting his fate much more so than he himself had been. The creature would go on to share his thoughts about the ogres. Maybe it all came down to a matter of viewpoint? Friion was frustrated by their presence, seeing them as an obstacle toward regaining his strength, building it up, and being able to leave this place to settle his vendetta. If he had to guess, Soma's thoughts on the subject of their deaths must have been much more innocent. He didn't know the creature all that well, so it was hard to truly say. He claimed some of the ogres were ''alright'', a statement that brought a feeling of doubt to Friion's puffy soul. He'd seen them bullying plenty, and mostly for very slight transgressions. Maybe he'd just gotten unlucky, but one day when he would try to find a way to exit this place he was sure they were going to become a problem one way or another, even the most passive among their number. ''I know how you feel,'' he would begin his response to Soma's expression of humiliation. ''Even my True Form made absolutely no difference in the fate of that battle. It frustrates me that our Empire as a society is subjected to these acts of unprovoked war. There is much that requires change, and little time to change it.'' The simple fact of the matter? They were too weak. As much as he disliked Wyntre's passiveness on the throne when it came to military matters, she was likely still the strongest of their people. Where had she been during the invasions? It seemed once the throne ceased to be hers, she couldn't have cared less about the fate of her comrades. They couldn't rely on her. No, they all had to in fact grow enough to stand on their own legs without her. If she hadn't made an entrance to try and save the worlds she used to claim under her banner, she was nobody to rely on at all! ''They kick in the doors and murder Empress Wyntre. They planted the demon tree on our world. Now, they launch invasions in tandem to slaughter and conquer once again, and there was nothing we could do to stop it. The feeling is...aggravating.''
He would sigh, heaving out a breath as he collected his thoughts. Soma asked about his companion, the Doctor he'd seen briefly during the invasion. ''I doubt they'd have let her escape being the warmongers they are, but I am very certain your Daria is alive.''''As for Blue, I can't say. My Scouter noted a sharp increase in his strength, however.''Come to think of it, what could that have meant?

For a creature who had perfect memory, the battle was nothing but a huge blur for him. Possibly thanks to the energy boosting drug Daria injected into him, making him act more aggressive than usual. He... He didn't want to feel that way again, and it seems that Friion was also a bit dejected from how they were treated in the battle, the empire as a whole was now a punching bag for the majority of the galaxy. The puffy cloud known as Somatotrope could only bend the front part of his body up and down, as if to nod in affirmation to what was said. But something in him, deep down, really didn't actually blame the Saiyan Solar Empire for it, for it is the same way with any other ruled empires. The horrible treatments doled out were due to the poor choices of those who lead it, more likely than not.
And there was the name of Empress Wyntre being dropped, a person whom Soma recognized due to how Daria spoke fondly of her being a gene donor to his own creation. And the frustration was very palpable right now, especially with how Arcose was being treated as such. Letting out an exhale, he tried to figure out a way that he could reach out to the strongest people to at least safeguard it, because Xylo may not be the best plan of attack. Sure he respected the green man, but there was something about the way he carried himself which made him feel uneasy, something about the militaristic style he brought about himself.
Then a breath of relief as he heard that Dari and Blue were alright, almost eliciting an immediate response of, "Thank everything that's a relief." He was truly worried for his compatriots, but seeing as how Friion was down here along with Soma, then it begged to stand that Blue and definitely Daria would be down here if they died. But that was not the reality, meaning they really were alive.
Then a bit of a silence between the two clouds, one which was rather deafening to be honest, as conversation just seemed to stop. Realizing that he did not know who this Friion was, it was probably time to actually get properly acquainted.
"Friion, my name is Somatotrope, and it is a pleasure to meet you..... formally, again." He uttered out, trying to make this a better first greeting, since he really can't remember the entirety of what happened while alive, "You knew Wyntre herself? I... I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her while I was alive, though I really wanted to meet one of the people who actually took part in my creation." Trying to strike up conversation, Soma wanted to see what kind of life this Arcosian had lead.
