Risen From Yonder Cave Am I
*drip*
*drip*
*drip*
The water struck from the roof of the cave to the floor, the echoes rippling through the namekian's mind as he came into consciousness. Months of isolation had brought him to the realization of himself. Where he stood and the ramifications of his position, but what would the others think of his time away, what had he missed in this meditation. Was he now a coward in all of their eyes? A deserter? Never the less, he had to face them with heavy heart and mind.
The first steps were shaky... if not weak, for he had not walked in so long. His eyes, squinted to the light spilling in from afar for their use was nil in his time alone. His skin twitched at the feeling of the namekian air as he neared his exit, an outcrop overlooking a field below. He flared his ki, the energy rising gently and settling at their peak. He hadn't stretched in so long and only his mind was in peak. Perhaps some stretching would do him well, but he wanted more than anything to commune with the planet rather than get into any conflict, his time in isolation made him consider his brashness, was there any point to it? Now, all that mattered to him was his home, mother Namek.
"Beautiful as ever, you never cease to amaze me, your sights unparalleled by any other planet in the universe."
Whether his words reached the ears of others bothered him not, rather he only hoped that they reached the ears of the planet and allowed him to express his honor towards her. He wanted to remind her that she was on his mind, even amidst his inner conflicts and the conflicts on the planet itself. Whether he would be receipted by her or not was not on his mind, his position was not one for the weak of resolve that he was and worried he still was, but for the better of the clan, perhaps he should seek to broaden his ideals for mother Namek and his brethren in the villages.

Solen gazed up into the sky from his small encampment, looking deep into the beauty that was his homelands. Namek, a magnificent place to hold dear, the holy planet of his people. Something he would not let go so easily. He waited patiently like always, putting himself through the same meditation his idol did just a few hundred feet from his location, only he would occasionally get up to walk and train. He had nothing else to do. His savior had seemed to disappear like the legends stated. He hoped to see Helix soon. He needed guidance among the Sentinels. He was up and flexing, preparing his muscles, when he heard a soft voice, weak but strong. He knew it all to well... It was his leader's! His eyes flew over to look at the scene, his master looking upon the brilliance of their planet, taking in all he could. This was perfect, the timing ripe. His leader was awake at last. "Lord Overgreen, it is great to see you! I hope you did not mind, I took your example and wrestled my mindscape and gathered my mental power. I have thought over many things, but that doesn't matter. You are awake sir. What do you want to do? So much has happened, has occurred. Word is the growing influence of the Mazoku continues... What am I doing. You need rest. You have spent so much time down there, you look horrid." Solen went on and on, looking him up and down. Namorel looked weakened, but prepared. Possibly even relieved. What had he thought up down there that made him look so reserved?
OOC: Solen had sat outside the cave the entire time awaiting his master's return. Praise Lord Overgreen!

Why Rhytid was even taking this long walk was beyond him. Deciding to take a day off, perhaps? Most likely. The Warrior Clansman had kicked his training to overdrive recently, and the strain on his muscles was intense. Walking hurt, lifting the simplest objects hurt, and trying to move in general was accompanied with pained grunts. Rhytid had kicked his training into overdrive recently. Either in solitude, with members of the Mazoku, and hell- even with their very own Guru! Helix's training was easily the most bewildering experience out of the lot. The ancient training grounds he and the sage had come across were amazing, and really proved to be an amazing place to continue training in the future. But even the most dedicated of Warriors needed their days of rest. While Rhytid really wasn't one to sit around and do nothing, though, he took to wandering the grassy plains of Namek in solitude, accompanied with nothing but his wandering thoughts. Thoughts wandered to the state of Namek, and the frail connection between the Castes. It was still a looming issue, and Rhytid couldn't help but feel fear at the rising tension between the Castes. It seemed like they'd never get to work as an union, and live in harmony...There'd always be some people that chose to antagonize the Mazoku, no matter what. ''Can't they just realize that we need eachother...? Now more than ever...''
The Warrior distantly muttered to himself with a sigh. It really was a sad fate, yet not all hope was lost yet. Rhytid really felt like he was starting to get some progress in his training. Not to forget, individuals like Helix and Sax helped raise his hope regarding their planet. Not every voice of reason had been lost to fear yet, and it was up to people like Sax, Helix, and himself, to set things right between the Castes. The unneeded hatred, the excessive violence, the bloody rebellions... . Everything had to change.
The Namekian soon found himself headed straight toward a distant cave, one he'd never recall being there before. Where even was he...? What was even more curious though, was that he noticed two distant, green figures moving near the cave's entrance- fellow Namekians? Rhytid raised a curious brow, figuring he should pay them a visit.
As he got closer, their voices began to grow louder and clearer, and at first, Rhytid approached them with a friendly smile. ''Good day, brother.'' He spoke to the first Namekian, one who had been speaking earlier. Rhytid then glanced toward the second Namekian, the one who had exited the cave moments before he arrived. Rhytid remained silent- his face, the clothing, that expression...It was...Familiar.
His smile faded.
''...So the so-called ''Leader'' of our Caste finally crawls out of his shell...'' Rhytid spat in resentment, quickly recognizing the individual as their very own ''Leader'', Namorel. He'd never figure to run into him here, this suddenly...If anything, Rhytid figured that he abandoned Namek, or maybe even died on some unimportant rock.
His eyes glared into Namorel's with cold hatred. This was him...The person who took the mantle of leader, only to abandon their Caste when they needed his guidance the most. A bringer of false hope. A failure.
''Enjoyed your month-long nap inside of that cave, not worried about the state of your beloved planet?!'' The Warrior snarled at him in a sarcastic manner. He'd rather not resort to insults, and petty name-calling, but Rhytid was furious, overtaken with rage and anger. ''Some leader you are...Leaving your entire Caste to fend for themselves...IN TIMES OF WAR, NO LESS!''
''Do you even realize how much our Caste has stagnated because of YOUR abandonment?!?''

Risen From Yonder Cave Am I
A voice, one he had not heard in some time... an image came to mind, a namekian around his age. Much more spry than himself and a very devoted member of the caste. The voice was almost warming to hear, bringing a slight smirk to his expression and offered him to turn to face the namekian known as Solen. It almost seemed like he had been there for the entire time he had been in meditation, as if this devotee hadn't already proven himself many times before to the warrior caste leader.
"Do not worry for me brother. How have you been?"
He looked over the other namekian, Solen was a well trained Warrior Clansmen and had come to the call of Helix in the past for the formation of the sentinels to preserve Namek. The thought of the prophet of the namekians made him wonder if he had properly ascended to the helm of Guru, unable to focus on sensing the ki energy of any living being on the planet, the namekian's senses had been diluted greatly since he had taken the time to meditate, sharpening his mind, but hindering him in every physical aspect and in his focus on ki.
OH! Another of our brethren? What has come of the planet since I entered the cave?"
He spoke calmly to the stranger namekian, he hoped not that they were hostile and rather perhaps another fellow namekian. The namekian's words were one of someone who had resentment against another and it seemed his focus was Namorel. The Warrior Caste Leader wondered as to what he spoke of.
"Hello brother, I apologize for my leave. I knew I could not further out clan as a whole if I myself could not abolish my own deficiencies. Please, do tell me what has come to mother Namek since my isolation, I only wish to help from this point."
He closed his eyes in a brief breath and offered a bow of respect to the seemingly younger namekian. He did not understand the anger of the namekian in full, but instead of taking hostility to it, he sought to know where this namekian came from and how he can help to improve and resolve this.

"I have been well sir, but are you alright?" Solen said, slightly concerned for his leader, before the other Namekian had appeared. It was nice to see a fellow Namekian brother, no matter their caste, and with this one's arrival it definitely gave him a warming among his heart. The amount of foreigners coming to their lands slightly annoyed Solen, but any namekian was a good sight to see. "Ah, good afternoon brother. The Ajissa Mainlands welcome you. How do you do?" Solen greeted the mystery Namekian, before listening more to what he had to say. Solen reacted slightly appalled, recoiling back as the Namekian talked so low of their leader. "W-What? Why would you talk to horridly of Lord Overgreen?" Solen's voice echoed slightly, before he was about to talk back. "He has been here for a reason. So much had damned our planet, the Warrior Caste being product of torture by more than just our foreign neighbors. There was much to meditate on, as I, and I can assume so has our lord, thought of the current situations." "I apologize dear brother for our absence, I have been here with our Lord for the time as well, but think not that we do not wish our planet well. Namek is currently a hot spot of conflict among the species. We have foreign invaders from the stars, and our own homefront divided. There is far to much to discuss right here. Let us go back to my camp" The thick Namekian said, gesturing towards his seats and small sliced up blue cabbages. He was not rash with his words, but soft spoken and understanding, hiding his horrified thoughts. Was this a Mazoku sympathizer? He did not wish for conflict today, as this was the day to mark the revival of the Warrior Caste. With their leader back at the helm, they would finally be a true force to protect their homeland from the non-green skins. He prepared some tea, whether they wished to come to the campsite or not, and placed his sword down by a small brown tent, blade against the blue grass. His hands offered a cup to each Namekian, bowing when he came forwards to Namorel, and than retreating to his seat where he would be quiet, observing how his master would react to such a Namekian. This would be an encounter of intelligence, experience, and wits. And this old Namekian definitely wanted to be there to see it. Solen remembered when Namek detonated. He was there and perished in it's explosion. That left a mark on the Namekian, keeping a cold place in his hear for foreigners. Or aggressors in general.

''...Why I talk so lowly of our great leader over here...?'' Rhytid parroted the question in resentment. The Warrior Namekian had no idea why this one was so hellbent on thinking Namorel was a great and wise leader. The Namekian, so far, had done jack shit for their Caste. Merely took the spot of leader, and then left their Caste to rot without guidance...
And this one had the audacity to wonder why someone would think lowly of him.
They continued to give Rhytid half-assed apologies and reasoning for their desertion, but Rhytid didn't budge. In fact, it only helped to further his anger. From what Rhytid could tell, their own leader wasn't even aware of the state that Namek was in. Rhytid's muscles clenched in anger, gripping his bicep with a constricted crunch. ''Such ignorance...'' He muttered lowly.
He followed the two Namekians to their little camp, but refused the tea, and even refused to sit down in the first place. Rhytid stood his ground, and quite frankly, he wasn't in the mood for their little tea party. ''Don't think I'm willing to casually chat with you two with a cup of tea...'' Rhytid hissed, his tone low and full of bitterness.
''I'd have expected the leader of our Caste to be a strong and wise Warrior...One who can lead our people to a better future...'' The Namekian began with a displeased sigh, disappointed eyes travelling from the ground to Namorel's eyes. Rhytid's eyes lowered once more, brow furrowed in frustration. ''Yet you're not even aware of what's been happening to Namek in the first place...!? Do you even care about your people?'' Rhytid's tone was filled with disappointed exhaustion. He was enraged, he truly was...Angry enough to rip someone in two- yet no matter how much he hated Namorel, he couldn't attack him. Not physically. He was, and still is, a Namekian- one of his own.
''If you couldn't lead our Caste because of your flaws...Then why...Why did you take up the mantle of leader in the first place!?'' The Warrior continued relentlessly. It was obvious that Rhytid had a metric ton of bottled-up emotions concerning the state of their Caste, and the lack of a proper leader. Running into him this suddenly...It was a big blow to the young Warrior. ''The entire Caste has grown weak...We've been without guidance- no one to properly lead us...Nearly everyone has grown bitter resentment toward you...'' Rhytid's voice now turned somber, quiet, even. The emotions swirled inside of him like a raging torrent, and it was obvious that he had trouble speaking to one of his own in this way. His words did speak the truth, though. Most Namekians thought that Namorel had abandoned the planet in fear, or had even died due to unknown causes. Nevertheless, nearly all of their Caste felt the same way Rhytid did...Betrayed. He didn't want to feel the bitter hatred that he did- but he really couldn't help it at this point.
''You've given us false hope, Namorel...''
''You...You disappointed all of us!''

Risen From Yonder Cave Am I
"These are troubled times indeed..." Namorel's words resonated amidst himself as he listened to the exchange between Solen and the mystery namekian. From the way he spoke however, he was a one of their own clansmen; perhaps discontent had spread among some of the villages, Namorel was sure he had told his son to spread the word of his isolation to villages, perhaps he had not reached them all, the young namekian was rather new to the planet as it was. More than anything this had saddened him, that his own questioning of his qualifications had spread to some of his own brethren. However seeing the two sides of the spectrum in this mystery warrior and in Solen was eye opening to Namorel, perhaps something to learn from for himself.
Namorel too decided not to sit as Solen offered the camp for tea, rather standing, overlooking the mysterious warrior clansmen. He decided not to let the younger namekian anger him, rather he agreed with him. Looking over him once more, Namorel took a step forwards and crossed his arms, shaking his head more in disappointment at his own decisions rather than what the namekian said.
"Our people needed someone, however false it may be hope can do wonders for a scared population. Prejudice against the Mazoku runs deep in our people and they needed one of their own kind to look up to after the death of Riku, may he rest in peace; I had been chosen to take his role and sure... I may have been insubstantial at the time, but I seek to right my wrongs now."
Namorel spoke with a low, solemn tone. he sought not to infuriate the young namekian any further because his words were not completely wrong, and yet his anger almost seemed placed on the stress and pressure of the planet and the people more than it was on Namorel himself. Namorel kept an eye on Solen to make sure the devoted namekian did not try anything stupid or dangerous.

Solen sat patiently as he heard the qualms from the new Namekian, sipping at his tea quietly. When the new Namekian had finished, Solen placed down his cup softly, coughing slightly, before preparing for whatever recoil that might come from his next few words. He waited for Namorel to apologize professionally, before talking in response; careful with his wording. "Ah... The ignorance card. I have heard that quite often, though mainly from the demon clan's henchmen. You are starting to sound an awful lot like those who praise the traitor. Well, insults aside, and taking your words to heart dear brother, I can only say that ignorance is a popular narrative among the clans. No matter the person you meet they will lack the required information to make certain assumptions and assessments and thus, are ignorant with their own judgement." Solen said, calming himself, straightening his robes, his armored shoulder pads being removed to reveal his forty years of toned muscle. "While our Lord was within his confinement, I did attempt to spread his absence, though I did not make it far with the current control over this planet, and the seemingly prominent dislike for us Sentinels. For that, I would say blame the Mazoku for the word not spreading. I hope the best of you, and with gaining knowledge of the situations, but I would like to inform you of our brethren. I am not sure which village you derive from, or where you have visited, but from my encounters I would say that the warrior caste has not given up hope. We are strong, even when our leader must take a break from political matters. We will stand strong in the western segment, and the East has yet to report to my messages." The thick Namekian took a break for a second, sighing deeply before walking away from the two, looking off into the distance. The clean grasslands of Namek were a beautiful sight to behold, and with his devotion to this planet as a whole, he was not going to give up on his initiative. No matter what anyone told him. His homelands were the spawn grounds for his people, something he would not give up so easily. He could remember the day his father spit up the egg that contained him, releasing the Namekian child to the wonders of the world. He would turn back towards the two, his fist grasping hard enough to draw a small amount of blood, the small purple trail going down his wrists. His eyes went over his weakened leader, gaining an assertive face, before beginning to speak again. "Lord Overgreen, since you are now awake, I would wish something of you. I wish to speak with our Guru Helix once more, but I have not had luck in finding him. You two are very friendly, so I was hoping you could show the way to him. His elegance should know more than I, with his vast elder knowledge, and to train under him mentally would be a godsend." Solen asked firmly, as if to show his attentiveness. Waiting for a response, before finishing what he had to do with this unnamed Namekian who had the audacity to speak so lowly of their lord. "As for you, after some thought, I can say for sure that you have a flaw with your logic over Namorel. While I do not know who you are, angered one, but I can know for sure from the sheer fact that I do not know you that you do not speak for even a margin of our people; and most certainly not all of us. Many of the Warrior Caste has supported our Lord through it all, and any Namekian who has been around the Dragon Clan would know that an absence is to be expected of such intelligent leaders. Your anger over the Lord Overgreen is a selfish reason to pile on your fellow brethren as if to form a bandwagon of sorts. While I cannot speak for your village in perticular, the many villages I visit on a daily basis for supplies has kept true to their loyalty of the greats, including the one you speak so lowly of... To rest my case..." Solen placed his hand forwards, as if accusing someone within a court room, pointing directly towards the Namekian, his mental state in a calmer form than before. "Your egocentric and miserly views on the subject are a fault of your own upbringing, and lack relative worth to make such a judgement of your leader!"

Rhytid sighed deeply when Namorel started speaking. Carefully, slowly exhaling to calm himself- he truly did lose his temper just now, yet his anger had been justified, if he could judge about it himself. While he was still fuming mad at the Warrior Caste leader, he could respect the fact that Namorel had admitted to his mistakes, and apologied for them. Perhaps they could talk with less emotion clouding their words now...
But, no, that'd be too easy, ofcourse. Namorel's henchman, for the lack of a better term, suddenly piped up and joined the discussion. First, mocking Rhytid for calling them ignorant- and...was that...Was he calling him a sympathizer for the Mazoku? Was that even a thing?! Rhytid clenched his fist in building rage, feeling his frustration broil within him once more. Hell, the Mazoku were better than him...Even their Commander, Sax, showed more reason and wisdom than this brainwashed mess of a Namekian. Apparently he did attempt to spread the word of Namorel's disappearance, yet, if anything, it was a poor attempt. As far as Rhytid knew, only little to no people knew about them. Where they went, why they went, or if they were even alive in the first place...It was all a mystery. ''...I doubt the effectiveness of your spreaded messages...Even Guru Helix was unaware of your whereabouts. You must be quite the poor messenger, in that case.'' Rhytid scoffed at the burlier Namekian, eyes lowered into thin slits that glared straight at the 'Henchman'.
The Namekian then turned around, and continued to berate Rhytid with baseless assumptions and fancy words. An all-out rant that had little to no foundation, or clarity in itself. Rhytid's expression remained a unamused, angered pout, a clenched face glaring straight into the eyes of the robust Namekian.
A single word truly did reach Rhytid, however...
''Selfish.''
Rhytid now clenched his teeth, nearly unable to contain his building anger. Clawed hands dug into his biceps, a guttural growl hissing through his teeth as the other Namekian finished. When he did finish talking, however, that was Rhytid's cue to finally let loose.
''Selfish!? How DARE you assume that my feelings are selfish…?! It is you two who have done nothing for us, while the relationship between the castes has grown more and more unstable!'' Rhytid spat at Namorel's follower with even more hatred than before. Namorel was to be reasoned with, as he could at least admit to his mistakes, and apologize for them...But just how dense was his follower?!? Rhytid freed an arm, quaked with anger and rage. His voice grew louder and higher in pitch, as if he truly couldn't believe the stupidity that was being displayed. ''While you two were sitting in this cave doing nothing, Helix and I have been doing whatever possible to strengthen the bonds between the Castes!'' Rhytid continued, suddenly growing a lot more expressive with his posture and hand movements.
Nervous, mocking laughter sounded from his enraged, quivering lips, before they turned back into an enraged snarl. Rhytid folded his arms again shakily, trying to keep his cool to the best of his abilities. ''Have you even heard?! OUR brothers have been rebelling against the Mazoku, even KILLING them in violent protest…'' Rhytid's tone turned a tad somber, melancholic anger caked into his voice. Eyes glanced away from the Namekians, and then back to them, desperation present in his shaking pupils. ''...Members of OUR Caste have resorted to killing our very own species out of desperation...THAT is how fragile Namek has become...And you DARE to say that I am SELFISH!?''
Rhytid put a hand to his forehead- all sorts of emotions were swirling inside of him. He truly couldn't believe just how judgemental and ignorant their Caste could be at times...He nearly REFUSED to believe it. ''On top of that, I doubt you two have even heard that the Mazoku have declared war on one of the strongest galactic empires...They’re likely thinking about attacking Namek at this very moment! And instead of training our Caste so we can defend the planet, you two decide to meditate in a damn cave for the past months?!'' Even his voice began to grow shaky at this point, his eyes averting away from the burly Namekian and their leader, down to the blue, grassy ground. Rhytid felt physically sick- were people really THIS unaware of all the dangers that lurked? Of how fragile Namek currently was...?
The Namekian breathed in deeply, and straightened his back once more. Watery, shaky eyes glared straight at the leader and his subordinate. Strangely enough, confidence flowed through his body. If they were really this incompetent and ignorant, Rhytid was just going to have to change all of it. Despite the return of their leader, this conversation only hammered Rhytid's dream in more and more, and he grew even more confident in reaching it. Rhytid swiftly turned around, showing the Namekian, along with his own leader, his back- out of sheer disrespect.
He was going to lead the Caste one day. He wouldn't allow idiots like these to lead their Caste, not in a million years.
''Despite my disagreement with the Mazoku...At least THEY possess the strength and diligence to protect our planet. Unlike some.''
Rhytid spat on the ground, and began to walk away with a confident stride, a newfound fire burning in his eyes.
''It is you two who lack worth...''
