OOC: I've already described Ryder's home in detail, so rather than tread over the same ground I'll just include the descriptive text in a spoiler immediately below this OOC tag. Somewhere deep in the Bamboo forest, far from civilization lay a beautiful clearing- a veritable paradise carved from the jungle. Crystal clear water crashed into a pond from five meters above, filling the air with both the rumbling sound of falling water and a light mist that served to cool an otherwise muggy environment.
Elevated up on stilts stood a cozy bamboo cottage. What had once been a simple lean-to shelter had- with the investment of time and sincere effort- become a comfortable place for Ryder to call home. A lush garden filled with foods of all sorts in all stages of maturity surrounded the structure, lending the dwelling a feeling of abundance and stability.
Standing within that pond- her shoulders barely above the waterline- was a woman masked by the mist, scrubbing herself clean in the cold glacial meltwater. Once one got close enough, however, they could make out her stunning features. Faintly tanned skin of pale bronze contrasted elegantly against the nearly white blonde hair falling to her shoulders in wavy locks. Shoulders that looked strong, laced with hidden muscle that looked quite firm. Beside that pond- just beyond the waterfall’s misty spray- stood a bamboo rack with a purple towel. Beyond that lay a lush garden surrounding a cozy thatched-roof bamboo cottage. OOC: Short, sweet and to the point. Tags- Durian

TO BE BOUND BY WORDS AND HEART
The Bamboo Forest. Durian didn’t remember coming there personally, but she had met people who were supposed to live there. She had even been invited to visit and train with them. Marcel. He had become sort of a friend in that darkness that was her past. Spoke through the mind. He taught her how to use telepathy while he wasn’t even on the planet. Then. His signature simply disappeared. He was gone. She couldn’t feel his power and didn’t understand. What had he gotten himself into? Whatever it was or had been... he was gone.
Still, a part of Durian wished that it wasn’t so. Traveling to the Forest, she’d search for what might have been his homestead. Maybe he was injured. Maybe he was there. Maybe he simply wasn’t answering her calls to his mind. The foliage was much different here... Less forboding and almost beautiful in a way. Though, it held uncertainty. Levlidian wasn’t with her. While she no longer felt totally underpowered compared to the world, she certainly didn’t have the confidence her mate did. Still, with power level reduced and having gained a decent ability at moving silently through denser areas, Durian wasn’t completely afraid. She still had the ability to accomplish many things. She still had that fire in her heart, though no longer fueled by hatred.
And she wanted to find Marcel. It was a fleeting hope before she’d leave for Namek, but a hope none the less. The smell and sound of water would come to her ears. Fresh moisture clouding the air and the sound drawing her to the area. The set up was simple yet peaceful. Bamboo homestead. Water falling into a pond. A garden set up with food. But the thing Durian was most careful about was that power signature. It fell into a range that people didn’t often reduce their heights to, but could very well be a trick. This being could be much more dangerous than she let on. And... she’d need to be careful of others.
Still, Durian would approach. Who better to know where Marcel might have resided besides someone else in the Forest? Bare woman versus one that was fully clothed, from black slacks, to jacket, to mask and gloves. The red-eyed Kagami would stay among the trees until she’d get closer, speaking clearly to the one she saw in the pond a few meters out.
“I’m looking for Marcel, he’s supposed to live in these parts. Do you know him?”
To the point? Pretty much.

Techs Used = Energy Suppression [UT1] Durian are capable of suppressing your power in order to better hide herself from the gaze of those with Energy Sensing or those utilizing a Scouter, so long as she is not making use of powerful techniques(anything that would consume KP in a KP Battle) she can remain undetected by friends and foes alike! This technique uses 0 KP in a KP Battle
Energy Sensing [UT] Due to her goddess and her awareness of her own ki, she is capable of feeling the natural energy of living beings, she has an understanding of the power level of other non-android warriors and can feel the power of the attacks they are using compared to her own. ~ This again?~ Ryder cursed to herself within her own mind as she heard an interloper approach from the bamboo on the perimeter, turning her gaze up to meet that of Durian as the newcomer asked her question. This was the second time in as many weeks that someone had spontaneously shown up at her home while she was naked in the water and it was weird to say the least. This time, though, Ryder had no intention of climbing out of the water to greet her unwanted guest. Even so she subtly tensed the muscles of her legs, prepared to bound out of the water at the slightest hint of a threat. “Marcel? I can’t say that I do. As a matter of fact, the only neighbor I’m aware of is a woman a few miles out.” Pausing after answering the question, Ryder tilted her head inquisitively “Just how long ago did this ‘Marcel’ say he lived here? I’ve been here a year without any sign of the guy.” OOC: Sorry it took so long, for some reason I was just having trouble getting into character in this thread. Now that I have two posts in I should do much better. tags- Durian

TO BE BOUND BY WORDS AND HEART
Again? The Kagami wondered. The clear thoughts of the female reaching the telepathic alien. She’d wonder what was even happening that it might happen again. Her presence? Raising a brow, Durian wondered if she should just leave. Maybe after she found out if there was anything to be known from this woman. Durian... just wanted to know if Marcel was still around or still living. She still hadn’t sensed him. Not on this planet. Not in this forest. His energy couldn’t reach her.
It never occurred to Durian that the reason for the displeasure was the female’s bare body. The Kagami was used to such things, she found nothing odd about it. Slavery on another planet desensitized one to some things. Not to mention her general uncaring attitude towards the bodies of others. The body was the body. While Durian often hid hers, it was more a need to hide herself from being recognized than it was to be ‘appropriate.’
The woman would eventually answer. The first word didn’t hold much hope. Marcel’s name with a questioning tone. The Kagami’s mood would drop a bit. Maybe she’d have to simply accept his death. The woman hadn’t heard of him. Didn’t know of anyone around. And Durian didn’t really sense anyone in the area either. The red eyed woman would glance around. Taking in the scene again and silently pray something would jog into the other woman’s memory. But nothing came. Just questions of how long he had been there and trying to reason why she hadn’t seen him.
“I met him a little over half a year ago.”
The Kagami answered. Mulling over what all she should say. Usually she’d keep someone’s life more secret. But... how could she find him otherwise? And if he was dead what point was there to secrecy? Her gaze returned to the bathing woman.
“He had said then that he lived in the bamboo forest. I’ve since lost his energy. I don’t know if he’s hiding or dead. So I was searching for his home for answers.”
That should be explanation enough. The Kagami hesitated. Hoping the woman might offer more. Have seen a house or something. But... knowing Lev’s technology, it was possible that Marcel would pack up his home as he traveled as well.

“Half a year you say… but you didn’t actually meet him here, inside the Bamboo Forest? If he has indeed been living here, I can assure you he didn’t live anywhere within about a ten mile radius of this location. I know this zone like the back of my hand, and there haven’t been any men living here for at least a year.”
Kneeling within the pond as the flowing water washed over her, Ryder found herself once again wondering exactly who this strange woman was. She appeared out of nowhere to ask about some ‘Marcel’ person, being the second person in as many weeks to randomly show up while Ryder was naked in the water. Sighing to herself with frustration over the situation, Ryder rose to her feet and casually strode to the shore where she towelled off and draped a thigh-length homemade robe over her shoulders.
“You’re here, you might as well introduce yourself. I’m Ryder, so who are you?” OOC: does Telepathy even allow you to read someone’s mind without their consent? That is really weird….

TO BE BOUND BY WORDS AND HEART
Exhaling slowly, Durian couldn’t help but feel a twinge of disappointment. It was a long shot to ask this stranger, but she couldn’t help but see those last shimmers of hope fading. Marcel was likely gone. Gone forever? Probably. His signature had been lost to her... And even near his home she had no hint. This jungle. This place. Somewhere he had lived. It was quite possible that he had left it in death as well.
“I met him in the Capital. But he said he lived here, that I could seek him out.”
Durian confirmed the woman’s words. Marcel lived here, but she hadn’t met him here. The red eyed female looked over the other woman once more, before letting her vision trail around the area. No one within ten miles. Sad. But probably peaceful. Keeping her senses in tune in case the woman decided to become more aggressive or close in, Durian would trust her other senses besides her sight to keep attention of Ryder.
“He’d probably dead.”
She noted matter of factly. Admitting to herself aloud that this was likely the case. Marcel was likely gone. Dead. Never to be seen again. He wasn’t all that close of a friend, but he was someone she had known fondly on this planet. Nodding once to herself, she’d look to the female. Ryder had moved, but not quickly. Not in a way that worried the Kagami. A robe now clothed her figure as she spoke an introduction. More or less.
“I go by Durian on this planet.”
She answered with her own name. It meant little to anyone who really needed to know that information. Her fear was not caused by this alias. Ryder. Interesting. Human? Alien of some sort? Durian wasn’t quite sure. Nothing sprang out at her, but she found that life was a confusing thing.
“I didn’t wish to intrude long. Apologies if I’ve been troublesome. I’m sure you located yourself here for peace and solitude. Especially with no one within miles.”
The Kagami wasn’t particularly known for her conversation. She was more silent or to the point, if not how she had been when she was outright rude. Hesitating, Durian wasn’t sure whether to take her leave or offer something in apology more than word. She wasn’t quite sure what that would be. Lev might offer a spar? But that wasn’t really the Kagami’s style... Sighing with frustration to herself, she’d take a step to her side.
“If anything does come to mind, I’d love to know. Though I’m not sure how I could repay you.”
Not the smoothest.
--------------------------------------------- My apologies... It's been so long I can't remember if I thought I had asked you and mixed you up with Tulip or just plain forgot, or what. I tend to ask people (ooc) if I can read the definitive quoted thoughts of characters with Durian's telepathy. Some people are for it, like their mind is basically screaming their thoughts to be read or something. Communicating without meaning to. I'm very sorry I must not have asked. >< I will completely and totally edit my previous post if you would like.
