An honor or a nuisance, Shemha silently wondered in response to Vennel’s words. In one breath she asked if it was protocol to question all those who returned to Vegeta yet in the next she spoke of how wonderful it was to be greeted by the Commander. The Majin rarely trusted those she just met and the elite before her was no exception.
However, these thoughts were kept to herself as the conversation continued and instead of the sarcastic responses that crossed her mind, Shemha chose to try and get her reasoning across one more time. While she respected the people of the Empire, those with Saiyan blood above all else, she was not foolish enough to overlook just how dense they could be. Maybe her patience was another one of the reasons Habana chose her as Commander.
”That is correct. The Empire has reached out to gather its military strength for what is to come, but I must reiterate, you are no ordinary soldier Vennel, at least not in terms of your history.” Shemha remarked, the last bit possibly taken as a slight jab at the Elites strength. It wasn’t of course, the Majin far to controlled to insult and individual that belonged to a cast of known hotheads, but the perspective was an amazing thing.
”And yes, clearly you are not dead.” Shemha added with a visual scan of the female as if a final confirmation was needed.
”It seems that not everything reported under the banner of Queen Zucceta was accurate.” And she wondered, what else might not be right? Not pleased with the former Queens’s decision to step away from the Empire, this only reinforced Shemha’s desire to investigate the woman further. In part she understood the choice to do so, a new age for the Empire under a new leader, yet she also saw weakness in the decision. Why could the powerful warrior not change the Empire as well as herself? Perhaps Zucceta was held on too high a pedestal by the Majin in the past.
The return of these two left the Majin with mixed feelings. They provided strength for the Empire, but only if they could be trusted. The question was, how much of a wild card were they? Kaza quickly tilted the Commanders opinions on that subject.
Regardless of Purika’s poor choice in timing to try and catch up with an old friend, Shemha’s softly glowing eyes shifted to regard her purple kin as she took a strangely aggressive stance. Her initial request for forgiveness did not fall on deaf ears and even as energy swirled around the smaller Majin, the Commander held her ground. It wasn’t for a lack of care or because she approved, but a personal interest to see the completion of the girl’s threat. Would she go as far as to unleash an attack on a fellow soldier? Even if she did, Shemha could heal Purika. This was a valuable insight into Kaza’s personality. Shemha was fine with aggression in her soldiers, it was needed, but there were some things she ultimately wasn’t fine with. One, threatening of an ally without satisfactory reason and two, a specific line of Kaza’s long threat.
”But let’s not forget who has more power here.”
”Agreed, let us not forget who has more power here.” Shemha stated calmly with her gaze still fixed on the aura encased Kaza. Of course her reference to power encompassed both physical strength and rank.
”Stand down Kaza, that is an order.” Her attention then momentarily shifted to Purika. ”And you may leave. I have more to discuss with these two so you will have to reacquaint yourself with Kaza in the future, on your own time.” Shemha instructed, that very clearly an order as well.
The Commander’s stance was neutral here. She meant no disrespect to Purika, but the fact of the matter was her business here was far more important than his curiosity. In terms of Kaza, Shemha would easily overlook the unneeded outburst in light of the fact the Majin was recently returned to Vegeta and perhaps, needed time to adjust. However, no matter how unfamiliar Kaza was with the state of Vegeta and its new Commander, Shemha WAS the one with the authority here and all of the soldiers of the military were expected to respect that. Time spent away and unfamiliarity were not excuses for a disregard of the chain of command. She earned where she stood, plain and simple.
Behind the Majin, Meridia enjoyed the show. Meeting new individuals always excited her, the unknown potential for chaos something she thrived in. Of course Shemha often kept things in check, but there was always a hope that she let loose one of these times. Everyone had their limits, Shemha would find hers one day.

Vennel’s attention toward the commander was interrupted by Kaza and the saiyan who’d come. He was claiming to have come just because a strong power had caught his attention. A foolish reason to go poking your nose into something, especially if you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into. But more importantly, Vennel was relieved to see she wouldn’t need to get involved with setting the man straight, as Kaza had taken to doing so herself. Meanwhile, Shemha had answered Vennel’s question satisfactorily. Though, the woman put too much importance on her former title. Nothing but the present mattered, not to Vennel. At least, not her own past accomplishments. Not that she’d consider what amounted to a loss that crippled her people something worth holding on to. However, apparently the red skinned commander mentioned that the fact Vennel was dead, was a historical error, made by Zucceta. Vennel’s brow twitched as she grit her teeth. It always seemed to bother the woman when Zucceta’s errors came into question. “ What I was is far from relevant. Unless you feel that Zucceta’s choice in leadership was a poor one. Not that it’d be the only mistake that wretched woman made. But I haven’t come to do anything but lend my help for the coming war. I’ve heard that Xylo has a powerful creature under his command.” Her face lit up with the sort of primal excitement befitting a warrior race. She’d raise her arm up and crush an invisible object within it, as if to emphasize what she was about to say. “ I’ll crush that namekian and his pet if given the chance.” As she finished speaking, Kaza set about to put and end to the nosey saiyan’s interloping. The majin seemed to quickly react, asking the commander to forgive her actions as she threatened their unwanted hanger-on. But a fight wasn’t what they needed, and if the fool were to respond by fighting, things could get very out of hand. At least such squabbling should be kept to the outskirts of the city, rather than here in the star port. Vennel raised a hand up, trying to put it on Kaza’s shoulder to hold her back. She’d speak low, as if just to Kaza, in an attempt to calm her down. “ Not now, Kaza. You can set him straight later.” And just as she had, Shemha had also asked that Kaza not to do anything brash. She mentioned Kaza’s own line, as though she were putting herself at the top of this conversational totem pole. An involuntary scoff escaped Vennel’s lips in response. If what Shemha was displaying was her full power, then Vennel knew full well she could defeat the woman. Especially with the power of the moon at her disposal, if things came to it. But Shemha also mentioned she had more she wanted to discuss with Kaza and Vennel, the ex-queen was surprised that more needed to be discussed. Perhaps the commander was more wary of the two than she’d like. “ If you’d like us to continue this conversation relatively unabated, then might I suggest we continue somewhere more secluded? We’re only going to attract a larger crowd. After all, your presence, and my own history being made more known to those around the docks, we’re bound to cause more to linger and observe.” She wasn’t sure where they might find solitude, but perhaps the commander knew. If all else failed, they could head outside the city, somewhere secluded and Vennel could probably drop her house there. Not that that would have been an ideal solution, by any means. But it was one they could use. Personally, she'd prefer to move this to an actual secure location, such as the palace, or where ever the new commander held her office. Such a place would mean only those of the highest caliber who the Empire gave free reign to would bother them.

Like Purika expected, the majin didn’t respond to his question. Instead she got mad, him visibly seeing the expression on her face. This was not the same majin he used to know, her personality pretty much flipped. Purika smirked, she was really getting mad because of something simple like that. Purika listened to her comment to the commander. What was she going to do, try and fight him or something?
Now her attention was fully on him, listening as Kaza yet again stated that he had no business here. “Maybe you should go somewhere private instead of standing in a public place.” Purika replied to her as she started to float up to his level. He was taller than her by quite a bit. As her aura wrapped around her, Purika’s crimson aura also appeared around him. Purika stood and listened to a few of her comments, unaffected by the hand that rested in front of his face.
Now she commented about his type. No, she was mistaken. Purika knew when he was stepping out of line. He knew that his power didn’t make him above all else, and he wasn’t that strong either. “You’re assuming that, and you’re wrong. I know when I'm stepping out of line… unlike you.” Purika said to Kaza, responding to her statement. Now Kaza’s hand lit up with lightning, her stating that she had more power.
Purika laughed lowly in response to this. “You have more power right now… but not when I transform I will surpass you. But, I’m not stupid like you, and I’m not going to start a pointless fight and potentially harm citizens and destroy property of the Empire.” He said with a firm grin on his face. This was rather entertaining to him. He turned his focus to Shemha now, shifting his eyes over to her as she ordered Kaza to stand down. Kaza’s partner also held her on the shoulder, most likely to minimize any attempts of her attacking him.
The commander now requested him to leave, which was a request he would follow without any hesitation. “Yes commander.” Purika said respectfully to Shemha. His eyes turned back to Kaza for only a second. He prepared himself to say only one word. “Idiot.” Purika said lowly to the majin, intending for only her to hear the rude comment.
Well, at least the majin was making some more progress in becoming more aggressive. That was just what the Empire needed in its ranks. After all, they were facing a new foe now. In response to Shemha’s wishes, Purika quickly floated into the air with his crimson aura still wrapped around him. Purika now zoomed backward through the air, turning himself back over so his face would be directed towards the ground.
He headed back to the bar his friend worked at as a bartender, planning on resuming where he left off. Did he make himself a new adversary today?

With both soldiers' auras forming around them, quite literally everyone fled. Too afraid of the chance that one of them would break out into a destructive rampage, they hid behind walls and boxed, and some left the scene entirely. The two continued to throw responses at eachother while their energies rose, a thick tension hanging in the air around them. Both warriors easily had the strength capable to turn this entire city into nothing but dust and rubble, yet they certainly would never do such a thing.
Especially with the higher-ups right there beside them. Kaza's ominous grin grew ever so larger as she ''threathened'' her Saiyan ally. Soon though, she felt a hand firmly placed on her shoulder, attempting to shake her out of it. It was Vennel's, and at the same time, the Commander ordered her to stand down.
''Very well...'' She responded in a content tone, lazily letting her aura and hand drop back down. Purika really was quite the brash sort, and couldn't resist but toss one more petty insult her way before leaving himself. Kaza's smile grew at the ''insult'', if you could even call it that, actually quite amused by all of his banter. He sure as hell had some spunk. Too bad his lack of functioning brain-cells only made him look stupid as a result.
With the nosey Purika out of the way, the four of them were finally left alone. Kaza dropped back to the floor and turned around, joining Vennel's side once more. It seems she was also concerned by the amount of attention they had been getting, or at the very least, annoyed. Kaza nodded her head in response calmly, seemingly having simmered down now that no one was eavesdropping on them. ''I'd be fine with that. Seems like none of these people have anything better to do than follow the Commander around aimlessly...'' Kaza puffed out with a slight sigh, seemingly disappointed.
Somewhere though, Kaza felt like she owed them an explanation. It really seemed like they were afraid that Kaza was actually going to try and fight Purika, or hell, try and kill him. While she certainly wanted to put him back in his place, Kaza would never actively seek to harm a fellow soldier, much less try and kill one. Such an act of treason was completely beneath her.
''Before we go though, please, let me explain my actions back there.'' Kaza let out, mostly trying to catch the Commander's attention, although she was fine with Vennel hearing it as well. ''I wasn't actually trying to fight him, if you're assuming that.''
''I sure as hell stepped outta line, but I merely wanted all of those brown-nosers to shoo and leave us alone. And would'ya look at that-'' Kaza gestured around them, not a single thing had seemed to be bothering them anymore. Everyone was too scared to hang around and see what was going on, and they all went back to their own business. ''It worked!'' She let out in a chirpy voice. It seems she was quite proud of what she did back there, despite how brash she acted. ''It ain't how we usually go about things, but sometimes you just gotta scare 'em before they leave you alone.'' Kaza folded her arms with an arrogant shrug of her shoulders. In her eyes, she really wasn't in the wrong. She was just voicing what everyone was thinking there. Hell, in her eyes, she was the only one with enough balls to actually confront him about it. Kaza really was convinced that what she did back there, was well done.
''Besides, I'd never hurt or kill another Soldier. That guy might be as dumb as a rock, but he's still part of the Empire.''
Kaza let out a long sigh, thinking she voiced her reasoning fairly well. And if she didn't...Well, then it didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. She didn't hurt anyone, and everyone still left them alone. Kaza couldn't care less about what opinions people had on her. ''Anyway- what else did you want to discuss, Commander? We could talk here, or find someplace private. Y'know, before more annoyances flock over and swarm us.''

Shemha was glad to see that both Purika and Kaza respected her enough to back down. Again, she was fine with aggression and if they wanted to beat the hell out of one another she would not stop them, but here was neither the place nor the time. Equally pleased to hear Vennel’s enthusiasm to obliterate Xylo and his lackeys, she felt once more, this wasn’t the time. Did the Elite know just how powerful that creature Xylo controlled was? And that was months ago now that Shemha felt its presence. There was a very real chance it had only grown stronger since then.
A nod was given to Purika as he took his leave before the Commander’s attention was once again on the new arrivals. While Kaza was right about the potential for a fight dispersed some of the crowd, onlookers still remained. This wasn’t the best place for this conversation to take place and the two were correct to suggest they move on. Part of her thought about taking them to the palace, grabbing a quiet room and asking for details on their time on Konats. However, she saw they were restless, both so clearly warriors and after the trip home a chance to really stretch their muscles might do them good…and Shemha could see what they had to offer besides confidence.
”We have drawn some attention.” The Commander admitted as she scanned the area for a moment as if her mind wasn’t already made up. ”Perhaps we should move this to my dojo? It would entertain me to see if that armor you wear is for show or a true testament to your skill.” Shemha said as her eyes locked with Vennel’s. It was a blatant jab, a challenge directed at the Saiyan and her unknown strength. Not a disrespectful one, but definitely one meant to get a small rise out of her. The challenge drew Meridia’s attention as well, a sly glance from the girl sent Kaza’s way.
If they were to accept and the choice was theirs, Shemha would lift into the air with her demonic companion in tow. The massive dojo she recently constructed sat at the edge of the city, only a short flight away and if they were willing to go there she happily lead the way. The Majin preferred diplomacy when it could be used, but that didn’t mean she shied away from combat. Training and fighting were things she enjoyed, the Saiyan influence in her life obvious if you were to watch her on the battlefield.
(Short post is short, but looking to leave thread and lead us into another one at the dojo! If this is cool I will be taking PL!)

(Yep! I'll be taking PL as well, if thats alrighty.
If Vennel still wants to post, feel free to do so, but I don't really have anything to add, so assume that Kaza simply agreed and went along to the Dojo)
