BEHOLD THE HORRORS.

"Walker... where are you?" Samba wondered out loud with a forlorn tone, his curiosity on the treeman's disappearance getting the better of him. He hasn't heard of him in months now, and he was starting to get worried. He didn't even know what happened with the rest of the Wild Hunt, did the faction disbanded or something? What did that mean for Celmaru and Presto, both of which for some reason he hasn't had the chance to talk to? Were they sad that Walker was gone, or disappointed at his departure? Perhaps indignant was their reaction, given that this faction was created solely with the purpose of scouting the galaxy and eliminating any threats that might endanger it one way or another.
He groaned all of these questions with no answers were just annoying him more than calming his turbulent mind. It didn't help that he didn't hear much from the Galactic Patrol's end besides the fact that the meeting between its Leader, his friend named Chili Pepper, and Vipoi; the Premier of Earth instantly went south when Chili was grabbed and send flying across half the earth. The small dog was lucky he was still breathing considering the strength needed to achieve such a feat, who the hell did the Premier thought he was by hurting a child like that?
"Androids... I really hate Androids... So stuck-up. They think themselves as perfect or something. Bah." Thinking about them only made him think back on Konats, and how he had easily let Dr. Breech Aris's words seduce his mind and making him turn around, leaving the planet alone unless they did something to garner his attention once again.
"The power to achieve your beliefs is there if you are willing to never cease in your quest to attain it."
That was what Walker had said way before when he had unlocked his latent potential and offered a chance to enter the Wild Hunt, and so far he had followed that quote to the heart. It was true, you could only achieve certain things in life if you had power; be it monetary power or just the strength to crush those standing in your way. He had been ecstatic when Walker offered a door to the Wild Hunt for him to pass, he had finally found another purpose! But the elation was short lived as nothing major at all seemed to have been going on, and thus the faction just laid around in wait.
"You are progressing well... but you still have much to learn. I am, however, willing to teach you. In perhaps a less painful manner than that."
To this day, he regretted not having taken Walker up on his offer soon before he had to part ways. Those were the last words the Bio-Android had spoken, and since then he hasn't seen him again. The Zoanthrope closed his eyes, took a big sigh, and slowly drifted off to sleep against the shade of a tree...
"I am, however, willing to teach you. In perhaps a less painful manner than that."
Suddenly wide awake, the Zoan was suddenly hit with an epiphany. "That's it!" Until Walker was back, or someone else stepped up to it (which as far as he was aware absolutely no one had tried), he'd go and claim the title of Crane Master; ensuring that there wouldn't be a void left behind and that he could have the ability to teach the current (and future!) generations to protect the Earth!
"This attack is dangerous. If you do not properly regulate the energies, you could kill yourself before even managing to fire. It leeches away at your very life force, after all. I cannot risk teaching it to you when I have not mastered it myself. While it might aid you in defending the Earth, I cannot risk your life on my own questionable expertise."
But... he couldn't be reckless about this; if that technique even gave Walker pause to teach it to others, he should be taking this Crane Master thing seriously. Only those that proved themselves to him in some way would be able to learn the School's Special Technique; the Shin Kikoho.
"It was no stranger. That was Bing Gan, kept from death by SSE science, and controlled like a puppet. From what Reikiko told me, before I left the Afterlife, his might now exceeds any fighter I have ever heard of. She charged to it's maximum a Shin Kikoho, a technique that burns away life itself in exchange for more power." Walker raised a hand, a small flicker of golden energy appearing, then vanishing. His Ki dropped notably for a moment, as though a campfire had a glass of water tossed on it. "He blew it away, killing her. Before I returned, she taught me this technique as well."
Just going around teaching everyone that technique willy nilly was inexcusable.
Of course, he was thinking too far ahead, first he needed to gain the title of Crane Master, and something told him that would be easier said than done. But that was just a challenge he needed to undertake if he wanted to be recognized as a Martial Arts Sensei!
-5 hours later-
"Whyyyy was this place so hard to find?!" Samba yelled to the skies as he stood in front of a dusty looking building with the Kanji for 'Crane' embedded in the temple's doors and the great colorful banner at the top of the doorframe. He had been searching high and low for the past few hours to find this location, because as much as he liked to think that Walker was a traveling Martial Arts Master, he didn't think that a huge flying island would be the exact location of such a school; so after hours of looking he had finally found it!
... Quite in a sorry state, too; the passage of time hasn't been kind to this place but-- no matter. If he had the chance to, he'd be sure to tidy this place up and make it shine with new life. Now, to bring out any sort of usurpers that might want to stop him from claiming such a title. He really didn't know WHY exactly they would considering he at least had a small tie with Walker (he'd have become his apprentice for Kami's sake!) but whatever.
Taking a deep breath and holding it for a few seconds, his body became outlined with a ghostly white aura before his power skyrocketed to the heavens, and just for good measure he charged a large ball of energy and threw it at the skies with a cry of, "Full Moon Cannon!". Once the powerful ball of energy reaching a good altitude, it exploded spectacularly with a loud thundering bang!
Now that his power was unleashed, all he could do was sit tight and wait...
BATTLE SUMMARY: Samba is claiming for the role of Crane Master! 72 hours remain! Also, the quotes are there merely to give context on why Samba would do this, should this thread get graded down the road, you're free to ignore it while grading as it isn't my writing. |
