It was the second training session of the Habane sisters within less than 24 hours. Usually it was only once or twice a week with Anzu’s work schedule. Now all of a sudden she had a string of vacation days and she seemed to be set on training until both of their faces turned blue. The younger of the two of them had barely gotten much of a nap in before she had been dragged off yet again to their favored training grounds outside of West Capitol. That wasn’t the only thing that was off about this particular session though. Normally Kaiyo was instructed to defend herself the moment they arrived. That wasn’t the case this time. Tonight she was told to have a seat on the ground and pay attention. The elder of the two of them hadn’t even brought any sort of staff or pole arm with her.
”What’s the holdup? Aren’t we gonna fight like we always do?” the younger of the two sisters asked as she plopped down on the ground, sitting cross-legged. To this, Anzu shook her head. ”There’s actually a specific technique that it’s time I got around to teaching you. It’s an easy one, but it’s a classic that all members of our family learn sooner or later,” she explained to her sibling. ”Huh... If that’s the case, what took ya so long to get around to it?” ”Like you already pointed out, most of our training has been done through sparring up until now. This technique isn’t one you use offensively. Tonight you’re learning the Ignition Jump.” Kaiyo blinked a few times before nodding passively. She was well aware of what said technique entailed. ”Oh yeah, I know what you’re talkin’ about. It’s the one where you and Mom keep yourselves in the air. Isn’t that just using my Burning Impact without actually hitting anything though?” ”Close, but not exactly. When performing the Ignition Jump, you actively need to expel your energy from your feet and fists in short bursts at the right time if you don’t want to end up falling. You also can’t put too much power into it or you risk launching fireballs at the ground below you. Avoiding that is going to be the biggest thing for you to concentrate on. Now, allow me to demonstrate.”
Anzu crouched down before launching herself into the air. While airborne, she slammed her right foot down beneath her. As if it had impacted with something, the space under her foot combusted and sent her flying forward. It happened a few more times with her alternating her feet, making it look like she was running across small invisible platforms that exploded whenever one of her feet touched it. She then thrust both fists out in front of her and caused another small explosion in the empty space right in front of them, which sent her flying backwards. Anzu continued to bounce around in the air seemingly erratically, but still in full control of her movements. Once she felt the demonstration had been adequate, she let gravity take over and landed on her feet next to her sister.
”So, how do we go about this then? Do I start by using it to push myself backwards while still on the ground?” Kaiyo asked with a raised eyebrow. She had seen the Ignition Jump technique used plenty of times before, so she felt that the little demonstration hadn’t been necessary at all. ”Nope! We’re going to play a little game,” Anzu informed her sister with a playful grin on her face. ”Game?” the younger of the two repeated skeptically. There was something about the look on her sister’s face that was giving her the willies. ”Mmmhmm. It’s a game I like to call ‘Don’t Touch the Ground’. The rules are self-explanatory.”
Without giving Kaiyo a chance to react, Anzu’s hand darted out and latched into the teenager’s wrist. The older sister swung the younger sister in a few circles around her before flinging her as hard as she could into the air. ”YOU SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!” the teenager shouted as she rocketed straight up into the night sky. ” I do it because I care, Kai!” Anzu chuckled back, watching her sister go with an amused look on her face. ”Remember! No touching the ground!”
The wind whipped through Kaiyo’s bright red pigtails as she flew straight up into the air. The view wasn’t bad at all from this high up. Her sister looked like a tiny speck from where she was. However, her ascent slowed before she started to fall. Okay, how did she pull that technique off? It was difficult to concentrate when plummeting back down to Earth. Kaiyo sent energy through both of her arms and tried to punch air under her. Unfortunately, it wasn’t expelled correctly, as she merely sent a fireball hurtling towards the ground below. Was that too much power or something in wrong in her technique? The teenager tried a couple more times only to get the same result.
The redhead couldn’t keep going as she was almost back on the ground. At the last second before impact, she placed both hands out in front of her and shot forth another ball of burning ki that hit the ground and sent her tumbling to the side, softening her fall quite a bit and allowing her to roll back to her feet. However, she had no time to collect her bearings. ”No good! Time for take two!” Anzu was right up on her and had delivered a hard elbow to the side of Kaiyo’s face before grabbing her wrist and sending her right back up into the air. ”I’M GONNA POUND YOUR FACE IN!!!” Kaiyo shouted angrily as she was once again flung into the air for her second attempt. Anzu let out a hearty laugh while continuing to watch her sibling. ”Not with that sloppy performance! Get your butt in gear, Kai! I know you’ve got more in you than that!”

Well, It was official. Athren had official been involved in the third world war or as far as it looks it could go down. Injured and sore Athren had found himself sitting off in the grass a minimum distance from the two and just watching the interactions between them both. In his right hand he had a stick that he had found and chewing on the end of that stick was Sprocket trying to pull it out of his hand. "You want the stick?!" Athren had said to his dog in a very light tone of voice. "then go get the stick!" With that, he tossed it quite a distance away as he watched it spiral through the air. Of course, Sprocket went dashing across the grass for it. With his attention turning back to the two sisters he smiled. The interaction they were having was quite the scene.
Athren had been sitting just far enough away that he wouldn't be getting into the way of the two sisters but yet he was close enough that he could hear the verbal exchange between the two. He didn't quite understand why neither of them couldn't fly casually like he could and needed this method of it. If it worked it worked but it kind of seemed like a chore.
Watching Anzu's demonstration he smirked slightly, his eyes went over to Kaiyo for a moment. "Doesn't that look like fun? Try not to land on your face, Okay? I like it just the way it is." He intended to flirt about it but the reality of it was there for sure. Nobody he knew could ever get a technique down in their first try and this one just so happened to be one that involved gravity. It was more than likely to happen.
It didn't take long from now for Sprocket to return to Athren's side. With his right hand Athren gripped the stick and gently pulled it from the Border Collie's mouth. "Good Boy." Was all that Athren said in a very soft tone, he figured the dog did what he was supposed to so he deserved the positive attitude. Sprocket, Barking happily had his tail flagging back and fourth a mile a minute. It showed that he couldn't have been any happier. It was fitting because Athren couldn't be any happier either. Giving another toss Athren smiled as Sprocket chased after it again. His little dog legs rapidly moving back and fourth.
Looking back to the two sisters now Athren managed to catch one hell of a sight. He knew training could get intense regardless of who it was but he didn't expect to see the eldest whipping her sister in a circle like a top only to release her into the air. Athren couldn't help but have a stunned look of surprise on his face. That was kind of brutal. Though the words Kaiyo had said immediately after were slightly amusing. Having his eyes on her Athren watched as she gave her best to do what he had said not too. Though she didn't exactly succeed. Really, Athren didn't know what to think or say. He didn't know this technique nor did he know how to do it. So he couldn't judge it or even give words of support. Though, He did admire her for trying something like that. It probably wouldn't have been easy. For when Athren learned to fly he had gotten very cocky in his abilities and ended up eating dirt a hell of a lot more than he would have liked to admit to.
During the moments that Kaiyo had found herself airborne Athren was in debate whether or not he should engage in a conversation with Anzu. Though the problem was that he didn't know what to say to her nor did he want to interrupt her teaching. So he thought it be best to shut up during a lesson.
Once again, Sprocket had returned to Athren's side with the stick in his mouth. "Good boy! You're having fun with that thing aren't you? Give me that and I'll toss it again." That being said Athren gripped the stick and attempted to pull it from the sharp canines of Sprocket. This time the small dog gave a light fight and began to pull on it back. To amuse his little friend Athren engaged in a small tug of war contest. Yet his eyes were still on the two sisters.

Toma broke out into a cold sweat as he tossed and turned in his make-shift bed atop the lookout inside the temple. He was panting hard, and his hands balled into fists and he kept rolling over in his bed as the nightmare played out in his mind. His face was clenched and his eyes shut tight. It was the same scene that he had been experiencing for the last few weeks, ever since he had first arrived at this planet. In his mind, he was flying away from the creature. He looked back behind him as he flew at top speed, but he wasn’t getting away. The beast was fast, and continued to catch up to him by running. The Oozaru that chased him raised his hand, and Toma flipped onto his back while flying and pushed his hands forwards, firing a Ki blast at the beast.
But it did nothing. The blast phased through the large ape creature and the Oozaru brought its left hand down hard, smashing it into Toma. Toma cried out in pain as he was sent flying down into the ground, crashing through a few hillsides and into something. When he opened his eyes, he was inside his house again. He looked around, a puzzled look on his face as he questioned how in the name of sanity he had gotten back into this place. It had been destroyed, hadn’t it? He groaned as he sat up, his body still in pain from the bitch slap he had been given by the Great Ape. He smelled a smell that smelled like good food, and his stomach growled. Was the worst of it over? He didn’t know for sure. He walked over to the kitchen and peeked inside. Not seeing anything that might qualify as out of the ordinary, he walked into the kitchen before something grabbed his ankle.
Out of reflex Toma turned and ball of energy formed in his hand and he looked down at what grabbed him, and pointed the blast of energy at the creature, prepared to blast its head off. His eyes widened when he saw what had grabbed his ankle and the ki ball faded from his grip.
“Why didn’t you save me… Toma?” The amalgamated creature spoke. Toma didn’t want to acknowledge who it was. The lizard creature was bent up and contorted, bone sticking out from it’s sides, blood leaking from the wounds of the creature. But Toma knew who it was, deep down. And it terrified him. His eyes began to water as he looked down and accepted who it was.
His mother.
“I-I… I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…” Toma spoke to his zombified mother. His voice was shakey and he could feel his will to fight slipping. “You… failed us… Toma…. You were… supposed… to protect us…” She spoke again, her other hand gripping Toma’s leg again. Toma fell back onto his rear as he tried to kick the creature away. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Give me some time, I’ll bring you back!” Toma pleaded, tears streaming down his face now. He knew he had failed them. The guilt weighed heavily on his heart and he couldn’t help but think about it. But this was new. He had never experienced this part of the dream before.
He kicked the creature in the face to attempt to get her to let go, but what happened next, Toma hadn’t expected. The creature grew. Brown fur began to grow from under the scales of the reptilian woman, and she grew to great size. Her size eventually covered her exposed bones, her face elongated and her eyes turned red and her hands gripped Toma’s entire body. Soon enough, Toma’s mother had been replaced with the Oozaru that had been plaguing his dreams for so very long. He couldn’t escape it, and he didn’t now why. What did it mean?! Why was he being haunted by this thing?! Why couldn’t it just… “LEAVE ME ALONE!” Toma shouted as he struggled against the grip of the creature and he started to push the hands of the creature apart. His Ki aura flared as he did so, and eventually he escaped the Oozaru’s grip. Or so he thought. He had been looking back at the creature as he flew, and he grinned a little. He felt relieved that he had gotten away, until he looked forwards. When he looked forward again, he screamed and brought his arms up to defend himself. A giant Oozaru head had appeared infront of him, mouth open, waiting for Toma to fly in. But it was too late for Toma. The mouth closed with a loud chomp.
Toma screamed as he sat up from his bed, looking around with a Ki ball in his hand, ready to blast away anything that had invaded his privacy, but he was just being paranoid. Nothing had attempted to get close to him. He panted hard as he lowered his aura again, before he stood up. It was getting way too deep, that dream. He wasn’t sure how much longer he’d be able to handle such night terrors.
He walked over to his cloak that he normally wore. He had recently upgraded it to act as weights, so he could train better. They had helped a little, but Toma needed to train with them more. He picked them up and slid them on, and he could feel his body weighed down and he smiled a little bit. He was glad that this pushed his body to it’s limits. This would help greatly when it came to catching up with Athren.
He sighed, and he decided to take a walk. It was still the middle of the night and it would be a good way to clear his head. Luckily Toma didn’t experience the nightmare more than once a night. He walked outside the lookout, and looked down. He was fully dressed of course, and he decided that he should go back and maybe go for a walk in a forest.
Toma let out a sigh as he jumped down from the edge of the lookout. He let himself fall for quite a ways, he couldn’t even see the ground from the lookout due to it being so high up, and it being so dark. He flew for quite a ways, before he happened upon something. Fire? In the sky? That seemed odd, so Toma decided to check it out. He flew over to the area where Kaiyo, Anzu, and Athren were and he landed. He recognized Kaiyo and smiled, waving at her. “Hey, Kaiyo!” He shouted, before he looked over and saw Athren playing with a puppy. That made Toma smile. He had always liked animals. “Heya, Athren. How are you?” He spoke.
Of course, if any of them took a good look at Toma, it was obvious that he wasn’t at 100%.

Okay, she could do this! Everyone else in her family had learned this technique without any problems at all as far as she knew. Kaiyo wasn’t going to be the exception. Hell, she was already considered sort of the family’s ‘black sheep’ with her being a late bloomer and not wanting to stick to their mundane lifestyle. Not that she could at the moment, of course. Kaiyo didn’t need something like this hanging over her head as well!
While she was still ascending, the redhead closed her eyes. She needed to make sure she put just enough power into this, as well as shape the blasts just right if she wanted it to work like it was supposed to. The teenager clenched both of her fists and started punching the ground beneath her. A couple of fireballs were let loose from her fists; she was trying to adjust her ki output between each strike. However, on the third punch, there was a bit of a breakthrough. It almost felt like her fist had collided with something. A small, painless explosion of burning ki shot forth from her clenched hand, propelling her even higher into the air. Did... did she do it?
Kaiyo stared at her fist blankly as her momentum slowed. That was a good sign. Now all she had to do was keep going. There was no way in hell that getting this technique right just once was going to appease her sister. She threw her fist below her again, trying to replicate her success. However, she had apparently gone back to putting too much power into it. Another fireball was sent crashing to the ground instead. Crap!
The redhead flung out more punches beneath her in a desperate attempt to keep herself airborne. It was no good, as more fireballs pelted the ground instead. Damn it! Why couldn’t she get the technique to work for her again?! As Kaiyo plummeted back down to Earth, she once again threw out a two-handed fireball at the very last second, sending her tumbling to the side. Just like last time, Anzu was right there before she had a chance to do anything more than climb back to her feet. ”Getting better, but you still have a long way to go. Let’s try that again,” Anzu said with a smile on her face as she delivered another hard elbow into the side of Kaiyo’s face and sent her right back into the air. ”Don’t touch the ground!” ”YOU ARE SO DEAD!!!” shouted a rather pissed off sounding Kaiyo. Anzu wasn’t bothered by it, choosing to have a little fun in her response. ”D’aww, I love you too little sis!”
While Kaiyo was flailing around in the air in an attempt to get the Ignition Jump technique right, Anzu had been keeping an eye on her from the ground. Any stray fireballs that flew either too close to her, Athren, or Sprocket, or that looked like that might be headed towards West Capitol were immediately shot down by her own shots of burning ki. Occasionally she would turn to watch Athren playing with his new dog, though her attention was always directed into the air. She just couldn’t help it! That puppy was too cute! If she hadn’t been in the middle of mentoring her younger sibling, she would have probably been trying to scoop the little critter up in a hug.
Anzu’s mind briefly wandered to the question that she had been asked by Athren after Kaiyo had passed out back in their apartment. It was actually something that hadn’t quite been able to leave her thoughts since it had been asked. She supported the idea, of course. Ever since her sister’s powers had first shown up while she was in high school, she had grown considerably more mopey and cynical than she used to be. Maybe dragging her back onto the dating scene would be just the thing she needed. Athren wasn’t a bad guy, AND he already knew about her pyrokinesis. That was normally the hardest part to finding a partner for the women of the Habane family. However, Anzu knew very well that Kaiyo wouldn’t be open to the whole ‘dating’ thing just yet, especially if she was asked flat out without any warning. Maybe she could help give her a little push in the right direction sometime...
”Hmm?” Feeling a ki signature approaching, Anzu turned her head to see another Saiyan heading in their direction. She didn’t recognize this one. Whoever he was, he definitely didn’t look hostile though. He also knew both Kaiyo’s and Athren’s names. ”Friend of yours?” the dark haired woman asked Athren, who was still busily playing with Sprocket. Anzu would have asked Kaiyo, but she was a bit... preoccupied... at the moment.

Watching the two sisters was definitely amusing the young saiyan warrior. He wouldn't have been anywhere else in the world. He had indirectly been spending time with Kaiyo which was nice and he was getting to know Anzu a little bit better which was a good thing two considering he had been living under her roof and he was grateful for meeting her. He had gotten a light smirk as the youngest of the two had been launched airborne once again. He watched her carefully as she had made the attempt to pull off the difficult looking technique. He had watched as the first two attempts had failed miserably and only had sent two fireballs hurling towards the ground below. The third time though she somehow managed to pull it off and stay airborne. It had looked very similar to when the eldest sister Anzu had did it. "Good Job Kaiyo!" Athren had shouted out in terms of support. He had assumed if the roles were reversed and it was him up there that she would have said something similar in support of him. Of course this technique looked like it wouldn't be an easy one to master so every little bit of support could help. It didn't take long but the youngest of the two sisters had slowly returned to the ground in a tumble.
Having her land Athren put his sparkling ocean blue eyes back onto his small puppy who he had been playing tug of war with. Slowly Athren had released the stick and Sprocket was about to be on the move to turn and run away with it. Athren couldn't have let him win though. That just wasn't his thing. "You think you beat me, Eh?!" Athren had said in a very soft tone of voice. "I don't think so!" He said to his puppy as he lightly and playfully pushed him over and onto his side. Then in that moment Athren let a big smile shine on his face going from ear to ear. He brought both of his hands up and shaped them like claws. Loudly, playfully and softly he let out some more words. "RAWWWR!! I'm gonna get you!" he said as he began to give Sprocket some light little tickles on his belly. In defence Sprocket had attempted to nibble at Athren's hands but it wasn't any good. He couldn't grip them tight enough and even if he had Athren wouldn't have felt any pain at all. Athren then began to pet Sprocket's torso lightly as he lay on his back with the stick in his mouth.
Athren then gazed back to the two sisters. He had looked just in time to witness the fist of Anzu catch Kaiyo's face. In all honest if somebody had been looking he would have winced lightly. It brought a very discomforting feeling to his body which had been directed right towards his stomach. Having that feeling in his stomach Athren wanted to act and he would have if it was anybody else but in this case he didn't have a choice to sit and do nothing. She was the eldest sister and just doing what had been right for Kaiyo. Even if it was kind of brutal but Athren knew that training was training and nobody would get massively hurt during it. He watched as Kaiyo had once again risen sky high. He had only hoped she pulled it off this time around.
In all honesty at this point Anzu had reminded Athren of his former mentor Willow. She had been like that with Athren but just a hell of a lot more rough. I guess to a saiyan this was still only light training. Willow put Athren through hell and it was for the best so it wasn't any of his business to step in or get involved in any way. This would all benefit Kaiyo's future. Plus he wasn't going to break the word he had given Anzu earlier when he said he would attend this lovely training session.
With his eyes up and on Kaiyo Athren noticed a little spot of black off in the distance. It was much to far for him to catch any details but it was rapidly approaching. If Athren had brought his scouter he would have gotten a power level reading to help identify who it was that had been approaching. It didn't take long before he had gotten close enough to recognize the man. It had been Toma. Of course he had greeted Athren and Kaiyo and it made sense as to why Anzu had gotten left out for they hadn't met quite yet. "Toma. That's Anzu. Kaiyo's big sister." With that Athren had pointed to Anzu. He probably didn't have to point but it was the easiest way, though it would have been quite obvious. "Anzu, This is Toma. Yes, He's a friend of your sister and I's." with that he slowly began to get to his feet and it had hurt very slightly to do so.
Athren then looked down to Sprocket and Sprocket had looked back up to his owner. He had the stick tightly cramped between his sharp canines. Athren smiled down at him lightly. "You stay here and don't get into trouble. Alright?" After a moment of eye contact with his puppy Athren looked over to Toma with a devilish smirk on his face.
He then turned to Toma fully. Showing that he wasn't in the greatest shape at the moment. His right fist then clenched tightly. "Well Toma, They're training. So." With that Athren began to ran towards the other saiyan in the area. It didn't take long before he had dashed and left a trail of dust flying up behind him. "So that means we're sparring!" When Athren had gotten close enough he would have launched a right fist at Toma's face. He would only do this once and he would have made it fairly easy to dodge. At this moment, Athren's blood was pumping. He felt so excited!

Toma looked over at Anzu as Athren explained who she was, and introduced him to her, and her to him. Toma let out a friendly smile and gave a slight bow to her in respect for the fact that she was the elder sibling. He was unusually polite for a Saiyan too, at least until he got angry. Which wasn't often. "Nice to meet you." He spoke, before turning back to Athren, who by now was charging at him. Toma reacted quickly, stepping to the side and slapping Athren's punch off course, before bringing up a knee to slam into Athren's stomach, and then bringing his elbow down on the back of Athrens head to knock him to the ground.
Toma was about to continue the battle after waiting for Athren to get up, but something felt... wrong. He felt light headed and lost his balance for a few moments, groaning as he placed a hand on his head. Perhaps he was more exhausted than he had previously realized. "I'm sorry, I can't spar right now. I don't feel good at all... I think I should go rest. I'll catch you guys later." Toma spoke, his aura flaring off as he flew into the sky, leaving the area.
-Exit. I would like Zeni pls.-

”Ah yes, Kaiyo mentioned you. You’re the one that flew through our window,” Anzu stated, glancing between him and her sister to keep watch for stray fire balls. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you.” That was a good sign. Her sister had already made another friend. The dark haired woman found it a little odd that Kaiyo’s only friends so far were Saiyans, going off the fact that Toma had a tail. Oh well, beggars couldn’t be choosers. As long as he stayed away from the full moon, she didn’t see any reason to have an issue with it. He looked awfully troubled though... ”I hope he’s alright. He didn’t look too good,” she commented to Athren after he had departed. ”It might be for the best that you aren’t sparring right now though. You, sir, have a puppy to keep an eye on.”
Back up in the sky, Kaiyo hadn’t even realized Toma had entered or left the scene. She wasn’t even paying attention to Athren or Sprocket. No, only things on her mind were the ground below, Anzu, and how to avoid the both of them. Her face was starting to hurt from her sister’s stupid game. She didn’t want to take any more elbows to it.
The redhead clenched fists as soared higher and higher into the air. Come one, she had already done it once. She hadn’t started falling yet this time, so she could think a bit more clearly. Kaiyo was positive that her technique was spot on, so she didn’t need to worry about that part. Now it was just about how much power she tossed into her strikes. Channeling her inner flames into her fists, she struck the air beneath her as she continued to ascend. Just like last time, the first few she tossed out were unsuccessful, either too weak that nothing appeared or too strong and shot out another projectile. However, she was slowly finding the happy medium between the two.
While continually adjusting her output, eventually Kaiyo achieved another successful Ignition Jump right as she was starting to slow down, shooting her even higher into the air. Alright, so far so good. She just needed to memorize that exact amount of power for her to keep going. With another strike of her fist, she received yet another tiny explosion against her knuckles that sent her even higher than before. The next strike achieved the exact same result. A grin spread across the teenager’s face as she stilled her arms and let herself fall for bit. After all, she didn’t want to go too high up.
Once the ground started getting closer, Kaiyo sent her fist out yet again with even more success, using her Ignition Jump to start climbing right back into the sky. From below her, she could hear her sister shouting. ”Good job, Kai! Looks like you got the basics down! Try using your feet now! It’ll make things easier!” Feet, huh? Well, she couldn’t exactly shoot fireballs out of her feet, and she supposed if she couldn’t get it down right away, she could always just shoot herself higher with her fists and try again.
Once Kaiyo had jumped herself back up to a decent height again, she placed her arms at her sides and channeled her inner flame into both of her legs. The younger of the two siblings was far more used to utilizing her arms, and really only sent it into her legs when she was about to use her Burning Impact through a kick. Supposedly she was supposed to be more maneuverable when using her legs for this though, so it was worth a shot. She applied the exact same amount of force as earlier to her foot as she stomped down on the empty space below her. Just as before, the air below her foot exploded and sent her up even higher. Wow, once she got the exact amount of power that she needed committed to memory, this technique was a snap!
Back on the ground, Anzu was watching Kaiyo’s progress with a smile on her face. ”Well, looks like the third try’s the charm,” she chuckled lightly. It really wasn’t that difficult of a technique to master for those with control over fire. The older of the two really should have gotten on teaching her this one sooner. Oh well, she seemed to have gotten the hang of it. Kaiyo would just need to keep practicing.
”I guess that’s that. She’ll need to keep working on it, but looks like she’s got it down.” Now that she wasn’t so worried about stray balls of burning ki since Kaiyo seemed to be happily bouncing around up there using her newly learned Ignition Jump technique, Anzu turned back to Athren and Sprocket. She couldn’t help but squeal a little as she watched the small dog jump about. She was a sucker for small animals. However, there had been something that had been prying at her mind ever since her little chat with Athren and Kaiyo earlier that day. ”I’m curious. What exactly was that ‘idea’ of yours that she said she would be taking a rain check on before she passed out?” Anzu asked with a mischievous smile.

Athren's first strike had been brushed off with ease by his fellow saiyan friend.. Finally, He was getting himself into a good old fashioned spar! Or so he had thought. Athren had seen the movements of Toma's knee and brought his own knee to collide with it. Not only did it deliver some force into Toma's but it had blocked the shot from hitting his gut. Which really had been quite a good feeling. Next, His elbow had twitched. Athren simply put his forearm in the way and let that take the full force of the blow.
Now, It was time to attack and let out a devastating combo or so he had hoped. Athren cocked back his fist, he was just about to launch it towards Toma's nose until he had heard the saiyan's words. Before Athren knew it.. his opponent had blasted off into the sky. It was kind of strange. Every other saiyan he had known would have sparred regardless of their situation. Even Athren shouldn't have been sparring right now due to the rough shape he had been in but he wasn't going to let that stop him. Then again Toma wasn't like him or the saiyan's he had known. Toma didn't grow up where he did so that would explain this personality difference when it came to fighting. Oh well, Athren wasn't going to judge him over something like that.
Athren now placed his hands to his sides. "Well, There goes my fun." He mumbled lightly before turning and walking back over to Sprocket who had been chewing and pouncing on a stick. He had looked so cute doing this too. Athren couldn't believe the impact that little guy had on his life. Hearing Anzu's words his head then turned to her. "You've got a point, but he couldn't have gone far. Right? He's just a puppy." He still hadn't clued in on the full responsibilities of owning a dog. So far he had been quite lucky with Sprocket and he hoped to keep it that way.
He now sat himself down beside his puppy and gripped the stick firmly. Gently he began to tug on it as Sprocket had desperately tugged back in hopes of keeping it. From Sprocket a low, playful growl could be heard as he gave it his all. "Is that all you've got? Come on Sprocket. If you want the stick you've got to work for it!" Athren said aloud in a very happy tone. Of course he was going to lose this regardless but he had to at least pretend like he was trying.
His gaze now looked up and caught Kaiyo using her feet instead of her arms to do this technique. It kind of brought a relieved feeling into his chest. Now he didn't have to worry about her messing up and falling flat on her face as much. It was weird. First Sprocket, now feelings for Kaiyo. The hell had gotten into him lately? It didn't add up but it really didn't have too. He was happy with the way things were and wouldn't change them for anything.
As he continued to play with his dog, Anzu had asked him another question.. His cheeks couldn't help but turn a very light shade of red. "Well.." It hadn't been anything special but the only idea Athren had in his head was a walk on the beach. It had been a relaxing place that he had enjoyed and he hoped she'd enjoy it with him.. but he never got to go there with her so at this point he'd never know "Just.. a simple walk really. I was thinking at the beach.." He then paused and arched his right brow out of pure curiosity as he then asked her. "Why do you ask?" This seemed like a really hot topic for the eldest of the two sisters....

”Like I said, puppies are a lot more work than you might think. It doesn’t take very long for them to get bored and look for entertainment elsewhere. They’re quick little buggers too, and can fit into some pretty small spaces.” Again, that was always that incredibly slim chance that Athren had found himself the most calm and obedient puppy in existence. However, the most likely case was that Sprocket was still getting used to the new places he was being introduced to. He was bound to start wandering around and getting into trouble if a sharp eye wasn’t being kept on him. The Saiyan was going to find out rather quickly exactly how much work they could be. ”That reminds me, I’m probably going to need to pick up a collar and a leash for the little guy so you can actually take him on walks. Otherwise he might run off on you.”
Anzu’s dark red eyes moved up to watch her sister for a little while. Kaiyo didn’t really require any more instruction at this point. They were already done with their little game too. However, the small explosions that were being emitted from her hands and feet were still lighting up the night sky as she experimented with her new ability. The teenager was already moving from side to side rather than just straight up in the air. It almost reminded her of Anzu’s training sessions with their mother when she was still a little girl. Almost... Their mother had actually been a lot more lax during their sessions since Anzu had only been a child at the time.
The elder of the two sisters turned back to look at Athren with a bit of a pout on her face. ”Just a walk, huh?” Huh... That was an unexpectedly boring answer. ”I don’t know. For some reason I thought it might have had something to do with that thing we talked about earlier. You know, where you basically said you had the hots for my sister,” she chuckled lightly.. Luckily, Kaiyo was way too high in the air to hear anything that was being said unless it was being shouted at her. She was also way too focused on flying through the air to realize they might have even been having a conversation down there at all.
”So... Any idea when this ‘walk’ of yours might be happening?” Anzu asked with a shrug of her shoulders. It was a bit of an odd question to ask, but this was as close to a date as Kaiyo had gotten in a long time. Even if neither of them really saw it as such, Anzu wanted to do a bit of preparation for it. At the very least her sister would need a decent set of clothing for it. She only had a couple of outfits that weren’t scorched to hell thanks to her unpredictable pyrokinesis, and those were what she trained in. The dark haired woman wasn’t sure whether either of them would actually care, but Athren had decided to involve Anzu in this. She was going to make sure it was done at least somewhat right.

So far, All the points Anzu had been making about Athren's furry little friend were probably going to come true. He could see how the dog could get himself into trouble and run off but he just didn't Sprocket would do those things. Sure, it was always possible but regardless of the HIGH likelihood of it Athren kind of brushed it off. He'd deal with the problems as they came and so far.. there hadn't been many. Of course, it had been very early in Sprocket and Athren's friendship.. So there had been lots of time for Sprocket to wreck havoc on everyone and everything. "You've got a few points there I guess, but I'm sure he'll be a good boy. No matter where he goes I'm sure I can find him." He said this referring to the first few words she had spoken. Next, he'd reply to the second set after hearing them. Sprocket did have an old, tore up collar that was barely hanging on. The material had probably seen a few dogs before Sprocket judging by the shape it was in. "If you could that would be great." Liking the orange on him, Athren couldn't help but make that request. "If you could, try to find an orange one? I think it suits him quite nicely." Athren then released the stick and let Sprocket chew on it harmlessly. As Sprocket chewed, Athren's right hand came up and petted the dog's head and guided his hand down to his back. He continued to do this very repetitively.
As Athren's beautiful ocean blue eyes were locked onto Anzu he couldn't help but notice the pout on her face. He didn't know what it was about but he didn't know what else to do. If she had been thinking that her sister deserved better she had been right, but this was all new to Athren! He didn't know what the hell he was doing in this department. He was born a fighter and raised a fighter. Not a romantic, dating kind of guy. Hell, Saiyan's didn't even pair up because of feelings. It was typically just a reproduction thing. So he didn't even have any examples of how this whole dating thing was supposed to go. "Well, Of course it has something to do with that!" He muttered aloud as his face went a slight shade of red again. "Just so you know.." He glanced up at Kaiyo quickly. He just wanted to insure that she hadn't been focusing in on the two of them and their lovely little talk about her, that would have been slightly.. awkward. After the short, short pause Athren continued. "I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this whole dating thing. I couldn't care less what her and I did. The important thing is that I want to spend time with her. That's really all that matters to me. If you've got any better ideas than just a walk. Feel free to fire away."
Her final question was a very simple one to answer. He had wanted this walk to happen as soon as it could. He didn't want to wait any longer than he had too. He wanted to spend time with her now but it didn't look like they'd have time in the near future. So it'd probably have to be put off a little bit. Though, in some cases good things did come to those who had waited and the best things in life usually don't come easy. So, if he had been lucky enough those two phrases would fit this situation perfectly. "I'm not sure. As soon as possible I hope." with that, he silenced himself long enough for her to get a word or two in.

”Heh, we’ll see about that.” The woman looked over Sprocket a bit as the puppy continued to chew relentlessly on the stick in his mouth. She was probably going to have to deal with some rather annoyed neighbors sometime in the near future over the little guy, but she just couldn’t help it! He was so cute! ”Orange, huh? I’ll see what I can do about that.”
Going back the walk that Kaiyo would be going on with Athren sometime in the near future, Anzu couldn’t help but smirk at the man’s answer. Aha! She figured it had something to do with that. He seemed kind of nervous about things though. Now that she thought about it, she had never actually met a Saiyan that seemed like the romantic type. They all seemed to interested in fighting and training to even really think about it. Who knows? Maybe that’s why he was taking an interest in Kaiyo.
”Eh, don’t worry about it. I can assure you that she’s just as clueless as you are at this sort of thing,” Anzu reassured him. ”A simple walk should do the trick. I will point out that Kaiyo loves to swim, so you might want to give that a try if you’re going to the beach anyway. That’s up to you though.” Really, the fact that neither of them knew what they were doing just made them that much more fun to mess with. It also meant that it wouldn’t take too much work to help her shut-in sister become more presentable. Not that she would have had to do much in the first place, with the way Athren had been talking about her. Still, the elder of the two siblings had been looking forward to playing match maker and she was going to do something to assist in making this work. Actually, maybe she could help move things along in other ways...
While the two of them had been chatting away, Kaiyo had been having a blast with her new technique. Once she had actually gotten it down, she felt so in control of herself! She could see quite a bit from so high up, she could move in whatever direction she wanted, and the wind whipping her ponytails felt amazing! Still, she had been up there for a while. The teenager knew that using the Ignition Jump was a larger drain on her ki than how most fighters could fly. Perhaps it was about time to call it a night as far as that went. She could always practice again later now that she had the hang of it.
The redhead allowed gravity to take over and pull her small frame back down to Earth, only stopping to toss another small explosion under her foot to break her fall before touching down. ”I gotta say, that’s actually pretty fun once you get used to it. So, what have you two been up to?” the teenager asked as she walked over to Athren and her sister. For some reason, Anzu had a big smile on her face while Athren looked bright red. She raised an eyebrow at the dark haired woman. ”An, have you been tormenting Athren?”
”Who, me? Would I ever do a thing like that?” Anzu laughed while sticking her tongue out playfully at the redhead. This was merely med with a nod and an unamused look on the younger sister’s face. ”No, it was just a friendly conversation. Wasn’t it Athren?” The dark haired woman nodded at the Saiyan, as if encouraging him to play along. She wasn’t ready to spill the beans just yet.

Athren continued to pet Sprocket gently as Anzu's next words began to fly. She had seemed up for the idea of attempting to find and Orange collar for the little guy and Athren was quite grateful about that. I mean, She really didn't have too. It was her money and she could do whatever she had pleased with it but Athren appreciated it nonetheless. If he hadn't been such a fighter he would have gone out and got a job and helped her with the financial necessities of their apartment but he had too many other important things to do. Primarily, the number one thing on his list was to get stronger. "Thank you!" He exclaimed as he showed his appreciation towards her being willing to find what he had wanted.
He then focused on her next bit of words. How couldn't he worry about it? He'd never done anything like that before and had NO clue what to do. Like, ZERO. He'd never been on a date nor did he know how to act while out in public with a woman. He figured he was going to make a complete fool of himself and YES.. he couldn't help but be worried about it. Fighting was a breeze compared to this. In fact, Athren would more likely take a beaten ten times over than want to worry about this. Unfortunately though, this worry was solidly stuck in his head just as his feelings for Kaiyo had been dwelling inside of him too. Blah. This situation sucked. He then replied to Anzu as she had given him a tip. "Considering that's the best thing I've got so far I guess I could go with that. I mean if she enjoys it, it beats just a walk. Right?" he question his theory curiously. He just wanted to make sure that it would be good. Unfortunately though he didn't have time to get an answer as Kaiyo had finally come back down from the sky.
His eyes locking onto Kaiyo now he gave her a bright smile. He gave it a moments though after she had spoken on how he'd reply but luckily Anzu had taken the lead. When she spoke his eyes went to her briefly and luckily it was just enough time to see the slight nod that she had given him. Clearly it was a sign to go along with what she had said. "Yeah, Just uh.." he paused for a moment as his ocean blue eyes went back onto Kaiyo. "Just a friendly conversation is all." He then lifted his right hand and brought it up to his head. Scratching his head lightly and ruffling his hair around he chuckled lightly.
Trying to get a change of pace on the topic now that Kaiyo had landed, Athren decided it was best to talk about her. Considering that he was really only interested in her it'd be a topic to suit the both of them. The easiest thing to bring up? Her new experience on their families version of flying. Though it looked a hell of a lot less convenient it did in fact look like a hell of a lot more fun than the traditional and boring method of flying. "So, how was that? Enjoy your time airborne or no?" He asked solidly as he kept all of his attention on her. During this time though, Athren continued to pet his puppy. Though Sprocket didn't give two damns what the hell was going on. He had a stick. Sticks were good. The hell with people. STICK! That was his dogs mindset at the moment. Anyway, Athren now kept his mouth shut and let her speak. He didn't want to ask questions and just ramble on.. Which he probably could.. but... that would've been quite rude.

Kaiyo eyed the both of them suspiciously. She got the feeling that they might have been hiding something from her, but she merely shrugged her shoulders. ”If you say so...” she sighed. Knowing her sister, she probably just said something stupid again and Athren didn’t want it repeated. She knew all too well how that felt. Whatever, it wasn’t any of her business.
Changing the subject, Athren asked her what she thought of her new technique. Kaiyo’s expression returned to its earlier grin as she gave him a quick nod. ”I thought it was great. It definitely beats walking. It’s a shame that I can’t really use it within the city limits, but I’ll take what I can get.” For once, they had had a training session that didn’t involve Kaiyo having to patch either herself or her sister up. She would say that that was a pretty good night alone. Now all she had to do was get her pyrokinesis under control so she could get out in the world and actually put her Ignition Jump to some good use.
It was at that point that Anzu cleared her throat and looked over to her sibling. ”I almost forgot, I’m going to have to cancel tomorrow night’s training session. Since I don’t have work for the next few days, I’m actually planning on heading out tomorrow to pay mom and dad a visit.” ”You? You mean you’re not dragging me along this time?” Kaiyo asked hesitantly? ”Did you want to go?” The teenager quickly shook her head. That was weird, normally she didn’t have a choice and Anzu just dragged her along anyway. It’s not that she disliked their parents. Far from it, actually. They just got kind of... clingy. She was still youngest in the family, after all. Apparently that meant they had to try to baby her at any given opportunity. It’s not really something she wanted sprung on her. Family reunions at least gave her a few weeks to prepare herself. ”I should only be gone for a day or two. Just make sure nothing ‘happens’ around the apartment while I’m gone,” Anzu continued, tossing Athren a subtle wink. Hopefully he would catch her meaning. She didn’t want to tip Kaiyo off about anything.
”So...” Kaiyo began, now that that had been taken care of. ”Are we done here? I mean, I’d say I’ve got the Ignition Jump covered. Were there any other techniques you were going to toss at me, or are we good for the night?” Anzu paused and tapped her index to her chin as she thought. ”No, I’d say we’re good for the night.” The night’s session had actually been awfully short compared to what usually took place. Perhaps it was because their previous session had been so lengthy. Or... perhaps it was because the talk between Athren and Anzu had given the dark haired woman some interesting ideas that she wanted to start plotting out. The two people in her company didn’t have to know about that part though.
Kaiyo gave Anzu another shrug of her shoulders before letting out a yawn. ”In that case, I’m headed back home. I don’t think I got nearly enough sleep. See you guys later,” she said with a quick wave before breaking out into a sprint towards West Capitol. She wanted to travel by air, but that would be way too noticeable for her liking since she was heading for the city. The teenager would just have to get some more practice in tomorrow.
”You know what? That sounds like a pretty good idea. I think I could use a bit of shut eye myself,” Anzu said with a smirk. Today had been an entertaining one indeed, though not nearly as entertaining as the coming weeks would surely be. Though, in order to ensure that, Anzu wanted to do a few preparations. Those would start tomorrow while she was at her parents’ place in South Capitol. ”The pet store’s closed by now, so I’ll pick up a couple more things for Sprocket before I leave tomorrow. In the meantime, you might want to catch some sleep yourself.” With that, Anzu snickered a bit to herself and started walking casually back towards the city.

Still petting Sprocket with his right hand Athren brought his left hand up to itch at just below his neck where part of his jumpsuit was itching. Wearing this heavy armour all the time really wasn't that comfortable either. It had made him sweat more frequently and when that had soaked into his jumpsuit boy would it get itchy.
Athren couldn't help but let out a light chuckle at Kaiyo's words. She had a point. Walking wasn't fun nor was it very efficient. The amount it took to walk places was way too damn long. Though their method of this whole airborne transportation thing did look a hell of a lot more fun then the casual flight technique everybody else had been using. "Well, It looks like a blast. Kind of wish I could do that." He mentioned. Even though it had been a little bit more impractical it still did the same job that the casual flight technique did. It got the user from point A to point B and at a lot quicker rate than any other method on the planet.
For the next little bit Athren didn't have too much to say. Anzu had brought up visiting their parents and really there had been nothing Athren could have said to add to that conversation. So he was best to stay out of it. Though his face did light up with a HUGE smile when Kaiyo had decided on not going. Finally, he'd have a chance to spend some time with her. ALONE. Hopefully. That's assuming no jerks would come in and try to blow up the planet but that was unlikely. So far, his chances looked great.
As Kaiyo was making her leave, Athren gave her a simple reply. "Take it easy Kaiyo, sweet dream." It wasn't much but it got the point across to her. He didn't want to say anything else and hold her up as she did look quite tired from lack of sleep. It was much better that he did it this way. There would be MORE than enough time for the two to talk during Anzu's absence.
Athren then listened to Anzu, she had mentioned the pet store being closed and really, he wasn't in any sort of a rush for the puppy supplies. So far he had been doing just fine with his dog with very little and I'm sure a couple more days like this wouldn't hurt anything. "Alright, No rush Anzu. Thanks again though!" He was grateful for her help in every department. The place to live, Helping with Sprocket AND..... Most importantly the whole Kaiyo thing. Finally, replying to her last comment Athren spoke up. "Yeah, I'll probably be back at the apartment soon for some sleep. I'll try to be quiet so I won't wake either of you two up. I'll catch you in a bit." he said as he picked up Sprocket and the stick dangling from his puppies mouth all in one go. Really, he couldn't pick the one up without the other so he didn't have a choice to leave the stick behind. With that being said, Athren used his ki and blasted himself into the air.

Everyone, while this is an excellent thread I feel that after giving your rewards I should say this, "This will be the last time I split rewards between power and zeni for any character until the debacle with this secondary vote is concluded." Anyway, I liked the story I thought it was sweet but the above reasoning has left a slightly bitter taste to me grading this one since you're supposed to only get PL for technique training threads. You still will get the rewards as requested though, however, it will be the last time.
Kaiyo: 2061 PL, 2061 Zeni, Ignition Jump Approved
Athren: 7325 PL
Toma: 1142 Zeni
