It had been some time since Sansho had come to this place. The place had not changed all too much, if at all. The architecture of the Feudal Japan era was still prominent here, although there were a few bits and pieces here and there that showed more modern design. The few places that did so did not detract from the overall aesthetic however. Even most of the people here still wore the attire of an age gone by—kimonos, sandals and tabi socks were abundant. The general clothing was likely worn out of novelty, to look the part, or just as a general preference.
The people here, however, still did not get used to seeing the demon's presence. It wasn't all that surprising; his visits were often brief and scarce. Men still kept a wide birth of his personal space, sometimes several meters of him. Women would quickly glare at him before turning their heads away so as to not make eye contact with him. Parents would quickly grab their children, by the hands or otherwise, pulling them close before hurrying down the path. A few of the more naïve and carefree children would point at him and call him an ogre or a tengu—none were of concern for the hulking demon; it was in the whelp's nature to be so.
Much had changed, but the old restaurant was still here—Geijutsu no Sayaki, or 'Sayaki's Arts'. A large tent several yards wide that housed an equally square dining counter with dozen of padded stools around it. The far side of it contained a cabin-like structure where the kitchen was. It was anyone's surprise that the place hadn't caught fire what with the cabin being made of wood, as well as the amount of appliances giving off so much heat and flames. Blackened clouds poured from a large chimney like a coal factory.
A burly hand swept aside a few of the sheets that draped over the tent's awning. The warrior's large shadow shadowed over a few of the patrons that were sat by, causing them to look and gaze at him for a moment. The demon made no eye contact; they did not care to him. Eventually they turned back around to continue feasting on their orders. Casually he made his way to the right side of the counter before taking a seat, sitting far away from anyone within the same row. He preferred to dine in solitude, and so the others preferred to stay as far away from him as they could.
Despite their reluctance of being within close proximity of him—or to even communicate with him—there was always one person who treated him with hospitality. What little caution this person did have was because he knew the demon could be violent. He just didn't know what can set him off and how much was needed.
"Good morning, s-sir," an elderly voice greeted. The man was fairly tall with a slight stubble around the cheeks. A white apron and head adorned his shirt and trousers. His rough, wet hands wiped down the front of his apron. "It's good to see you after… so long. How have you been?" An awkward silence filled the room as Sansho remained still and quiet. "I, uh… What can I get you? The usual?"
Another pause. Tension collapsed around the air between them as they both gazed at each other. The man's eyes were uncertain and shaky, while the demon's remained in its resting, aggressive expression.
"No," he finally spoke in a low, raspy voice. "I want some Kaiseki."
"O-oh, yes, of course, sir. It will be with you as soon as possible. Sayaki quickly made his way back into the kitchen. Some of the patrons gave glances towards him, as did a couple of the waitresses. Perhaps they did so out of disgust with the demon talking to the manager as he did, or perhaps they were more intrigued on how much he was spending on himself.

Jala walked through the town with wide eyes as she took in everything. "Wow... This is like that one place I visited! SO much different the big cities... Wouldn't mind living here." Jala said, her red scouter covering her right off, but was currently off. She went around looking at the stands while she got some dirty looks from some people in her Saiyan armor, her tail wrapped around her waist, and the scouter on her face. To them, it looked as she was a part of the SSE, but she wasn't. Jala simply liked her armor and felt most comfortable in it.
She walked around from place to place, exploring as some people discriminated against her, and some guys hit on her. The ones that hit on her didn't end well, broken ribs and nose. She continued her way into the town and hit her scouter, ready for a strong opponent. Her wish was granted!... Sorta. The power was over 21,000, and was located in the giant tent with the sign that read Geijutsu no Sayaki. "The fuck does that mean?"
She quickly turned her confusion to hunger as she burst into there, the flap opening big. No one was at the counter as the guy just left, but she found her guy. She was surprised at his hieght and wondered what species he was, his skin was tannish and his dark gi really interested Jala, so she sat right smack beside him. "Howdy! Your Pretty strong!"

The demon sat patiently for his order, despite the glances shed his way from the numerous other patrons in the restaurant. His contemplation was broken by the sound of quick, booted steps that sounded from behind. The added words did little to temper the slight irritation he had. Neither did the sudden noise of flapping sheets as the drapes flung open.
Sansho shifted his blackened eyes towards her, his crimson irises fixated upon her form. A girl, not much shorter than he, sat beside him. Dark hair flowed down her back, while two long bangs draped over her face, framing it. She was clad almost entirely in black, with dark armor and matching body suit beneath. He had barely noticed the tail wrapped around her waist. He gave a slight huff. He had met someone like her, though that was some time ago.
The demon scarcely took notice of her. His eyes shifted back to the counter. Bulked arms reached out and rested their elbows upon the wooden surface. A hand reached out to a nearby pot, finger and thumb grasping a pair of chopsticks. Effortlessly they split in half as he squeezed his digits against the parting. He placed them neatly upon the counter in front of him, his hands then resting to either side.
"What of it?" was his only response.

Jala noticed his eyes and was intrigued by them. She never met a human with those eye's before and she was giddy. "Howdy! I'm Abaddon, a Saiya-jin who's eager to fight you! Can we fight?" Jala said nearly bouncing out of her seat. She's never fought an opponent this strong one on one. She knew it'd be nearly impossible to win, but she had to try. Her stomach growled loudly as she groaned in annoyance. She hated how hungry she could get and sighed. "Fuck, ok. After we get some food can we fight?" Jala asked, changing her question. "So what's your race bud? Are you a Human? A Demon? Oooooh, haha! Demons aren't real, I'm joking with ya dude." Jala said chuckling, thinking that they aren't.

A low groan came from him. The girl had barely been here a minute and already she was starting to grate on his nerves. His fingers flexed a little before relaxing once more. His first thought was to try and drown out her wretched voice by focusing on the sounds that came from the kitchen, listening to the gouts of fire and crackling oil in the pans. The wait for his food felt like torture when he had to listen to this child go nonstop.
Then something made his ears twitch ever so slightly. The girl wanted to fight him. A humorous thought, though foolish. He was about to reply to her before she went off on another tangent. The demon thought that he would humour the saiyan with at least an ear. Though quite annoying, the girl had some energy in her. It's a shame it was contained within such a weak vessel, so he surmised.
"The joke is on you, child. You are in the company of one." His fierce face turned to her, his eyes piercing through her like pikes. "And it is a death wish to anger one."

"Eh? Wait, you're a Demon? Damn, that's cool! So you wanna fight?" Jala said completely ignoring the warning he gave. "Sorry for mistaking you as an Ee-arthing, I know I hate being classified as one. Unless it's to save my skin." Jala said joking, not understanding that he was annoyed by her. Jala was giddy and her tail unwrapped her tail from her waist, as it danced in the air, giving away of how excited she was. Her blood began to pump as she thought of how strong he could be and what techniques he could you. Jala was beyond happy, she was ecstatic to how strong he could be. She pushed her lips together and was annoyed, she was still hungry. She shrugged. thinking that the man beside her already ordered and decided to wait. "Oh, so what's your name?"

The demon slowly rolled his shoulders. Her giddy voice was starting to great on his nerves more and more. His fingers clenched tightly, the ropes about his hands creaking under the pressure. He continued to ignore her request for the most part. But eventually she went quiet. He took no notice of her, still staring forwards towards where the kitchen was. He could hear loud voices coming from the head chef now. The words were muted but the tone was one of urgency.
The girl had asked his name. The demon paused before replying, "My name is Sansho." Beyond that, he gave nothing else. He didn't even give her the courtesy of his visible attention.

Jala finally noticed his annoyance and quieted down, not wanting to anger the man and sighed. She hoped to calm down and begin messing around. She picked up some chopsticks and focused her ki into her tail, making a ki spike with her tail. She would poke at her tail and then quickly pull away as she tried to stab her hand. To her it was fun, while the other customers at the restaurant stared at her, wondering if she had gone mad from talking Sansho. "Sorry, Shosan. I just, really like fighting. Hehehe..." Jala chuckled, calmed down extremely, she sounded mellow, even though, she butchered his name pretty bad.

Sansho huffed. For a moment he had gave her ki manipulation a form of attention, but dismissed it as childish games all the same. His attention refocused on the area where his food was being prepped. A moment later, Sayaki had come out with his order. A large, porcelain tray sat within in hands. On the tray was an assortment of bowels and pots, each one made of fine china with flowery decors. Each one was lidded, with only a slight amount of steam pouring from the rims.
"Food first. Fight later." He seemed to have taken her up on her offer within those few words.
The chef placed the tray on the counter in front of him. He then reached into a side container by his waist, pulling out a ceramic bottle painted a bright silver with gold trimming. A matching cup sat between his fingers. Gently he placed them down to one side of the assortment of food.
"Here you go, sir. Only the finest Kaiseki for you!" The chef turned to the saiyan girl that sat beside the demon. "And what can I get for you, miss?"

Jala smelled the food and waiting to see it. It looked glorious and delicious. She was nearly drooling at the mouth as the food was set in front of Sansho before she was interrupted by him. She was excited and smiled, but only nodded as she tosses the chopsticks in the air and cuts them in half with her tail spike. "Get me 10 of the fastest to cook meal, please!" Jala said, her hunger growing as she glanced at Sansho's food. She was starving without realizing. "Please hurry." She said breathing, trying not to let hunger overtake her. She wanted to be polite, and calm. Not eating the human, even if she was hungry.

A large hand reached over towards one of the elongated dishes. His fingers gripped around the tiny, round handle of the lid before taking it away. The smell of fish poured from the steaming inside. Takiawase—a serving of slow-simmered coy with steamed vegetables. The fillet sat neatly upon a bed of string bean, red pepper and onion. The scents mingled and fused quickly as it rose from the bowl.
Before Sansho could think about picking up his own chopsticks, he saw the girl break her own in half in mid air. A large hand shot outwards, catching them between his digits. He jutted them against her cheek, though not enough to actually harm her.
"Behave." He turned to the chef and gave a nod in sign to take her order. Sayaki nodded back before disappearing back into the kitchen.
The demon placed her chopsticks on the counter in front of her before handling his own. The ends of his chopsticks clamped around the sides of the fish fillet before hoisting it to his lips. The meat was succulent and tender, easily tearing under his sharpened teeth. It had been some time since he had a decent meal, regardless of the company.

Jala saw him open his dish and was impressed with the quality of how the food was made. She was starting to get hungrier and she stared at his food before his hand shot out and grabbed her chopsticks, him going closer to her tail. Her tail dropped the ki blade and quickly wrapped around her waist, she moved her body away from him as he poked her with the chopsticks. She hated her tail being near other people, she always felt so open, and weak. "Guh, alright, alright. No need to push them in my face." Jala said slightly annoyed by the action and picked up when Sansho puts them down, she vaporizes them with little effort and sits there and begins to meditate, waiting for the man to come back with food.

Sansho paused for a moment as he lifted the last of the fish fillet to his mouth. If he weren't in the middle of his feast he would have likely driven a fist into the side of the saiyan's skull. He had hoped that she would behave herself, but she appeared to have a taste for vaporizing things. The demon took the act in his stride, continuing to finish his fish. The taste was exceptional, cooked to what he would consider perfection. The sweet and savoury flavours of the peppers and onion complimented it well. He began to dine on the vegetables next.
It wasn't too long before the owner had come back with a plate full of Yakitori—whole chunks of chicken breast strung together on bamboo skewers. The meat had been cooked over a charcoal fire, parts of it turning a brown-black from the char, making it crispy yet still tender. The meat was seasoned with salt and pepper. Sayaki placed a small bottle on the counter as well, containing tare sauce—a sweet and viscous soy sauce that had a slight vinegary kick to it.
"There ya go, little miss," he spoke with a smile. He turned to Sansho, his expression becoming a little more nervous. "I, uh, hope you find the food to your satisfaction."
Sansho had a bowl raised to his lips, swallowing down some of his Suimono—a clear, slightly acidic soup meant to cleanse the palate. He brought the bowl down to the counter and shifted his red eyes to the man. "Do I not always?" he replied, his voice more calm and softer than normal. "You are truly a master of your work, Sayaki."
The chef let out a hearty chuckle that masked his sigh of relief. "Ah, well, I'm glad you think so! If there's anything else that you need, don't hesitate to grab me." He turned to head back into the kitchen.
Sansho let out a half-humoured huff. If it were anyone else, he would have taken that as a challenge. His other hand reached for the tall bottle to the side of him, pouring the liquid inside into the small cup next to it. It was almost clear like water, save for the cloudy visage from the fermented rice. It was definitely good sake, well worth the price.

Jala eyes snapped open and watched as the man came in with food and licked her lips. "Yes! Thank you, Sir!" Jala exclaims, happy to eat finally. She stared the sauces, almost not knowing where to start. She quickly digs into them and dips all of them, nearly devouring half of them in minutes. She, however, enjoys the taste of the of the food and isn't devouring for the sake of eating, she is trying everything. She completely loves this place already. "Great Food!" Jala exclaims after eating another. She notices the drink and was curious what is was. "What's that drink?" Jala said, looking at the Sake.

Finally, some relative peace and quiet. Now that the girl had something to stuff her face with, she was no longer as verbally cumbersome as before. The demon could now sit in relative calm and enjoy his food and drink. The ceramic cup, gripped between two fingers and a thumb, rose to Sansho's lips as he took a shot of it. The flavour was sweet yet savoury, but had that kick from the alcohol. A good drink.
The cup patted against the wooden top as the saiyan asked about it. There was a pause for a moment. "Sake," he replied with a gravelled voice. His head turned to one side, noticing an extra cup that sat by the plate of another patron who had already left. He reached over and grabbed it, bringing it back to him. he poured the girl a cupful of the alcohol before sliding it towards her plate. He didn't really care if someone else had already used the cup—she would take what she's been given.
The lid came off of the next dish. Yakimono—a dish composed of flame-grilled meats. Two fillets of salmon sat on the furthest sides of the bowl. Next to them were cuts of chicken breast. In the middle sat chunks of a mix of pork and lamb. The scents of each mixed in well, well enough to make anyone's mouth water. The juices still trickled from the surface, pooling into the bottom of the dish. Content with fish for the moment, the demon dined on the chicken first. The meat was soft, almost tearing itself open at the light pressure he applied with the chopsticks. He popped the piece in his mouth and chewed on it, the flesh splitting easily. Succulent too.
