"Sake? Huh, weird name." Jala says, sniffing the acholic beverage. She wrinkled her nose at the strong smell. "Ugh. Well, down the hatch." Jala said, downing her the entire cup of sake. She makes a face of 'what the hell' and 'not too bad', which both combined were pretty funny. "Ah, pretty strong stuff," Jala says in a slightly raspy voice and coughs, not used to the taste of the drink. "Guh." She goes back to eating, but not as fast. She takes her time with it and slowly tastes it, taking it in. She loved it broke apart easily as she ate. It was crunchy with the juicy interior as she slowly ate. It was amazing, and she slowly emptied her plate.

Sansho gave a sharp, half-humoured hum. He didn't expect such a small, frail body to be able to handle her drink, though she took it better than he thought she might have done. The bottle poured into his own cup once more before being set between the two. His free hand hoisted the cup to his lips, taking another shot. Grilled lamb rose between the chopsticks before his teeth closed in around the chunk.
Seemed the girl was a quick eater. She looked like a starving beast tearing at a fresh kill. There was barely anything left on the plate while the demon's own order was hardly touched—he was only on his second course with another three more to go. He wasn't going to hurry himself though; he wanted to savour his food as much as he could. He spent much of his life living fast-paced, so it was relaxing for him to take it slow while eating.
A few minutes later and he had finished the dish. He placed it at the back of the tray as he brought another small bowl forwards. The contents contained a large portion of rice and sliced vegetables called 'Gohan'. The rice was thick and a soft, pale yellow colour from the amount of creamy buttermilk and egg mixed in. Sliced radish and eggplant sat like a cap on top of the pile. Sansho picked up a clump of the rice, held firmly together by the egg and buttermilk. His mouth wrapped around it, letting it break apart by itself on his tongue. The texture was smooth, the taste creamy and sweet.
He paused for a moment as he shifted his eyes to the saiyan. Her plate was empty, probably a while ago. He grunted under his breath before shifting to her one of his remaining servings. The bowl had a good serving of Tome-wan—A miso based soup that was quick savoury and salty with a tangy kick to it. It was usually custom to have it go with the rice dish, but Sansho didn't need it. That, and it was the only thing he would give up for the girl.

Jala finished the food and pressed her lips together, getting ready to call the waiter again to order me before Sansho pushed the bowl of Tome-wan to her. She gave a surprised look, then nods to him as a thank you. She looked back her bowl before picking up and sipping quietly from it, enjoying the tangy flavor. She liked the salty taste mixed with the tangy taste, the salt working in your body and making you want to get something to drink. She slowly drank it, savoring the drink. “So, what you do to earn money? You work in customer complaints?” Jala asks calmly with a smile creeping on her face, and she sighed softly, enjoying the after taste of the Sake. She was eager to get some more bottles.

Sansho devoured another load of rice as he brought the bowl to his mouth. After a few shovels of the food he brought it back onto the tray. A pause lay between the two of them as he chewed on it slowly. He gulped down the rice before speaking. "Yes. People complain; I send them to the hospital. I take their money as payment."
He had finished the dish quickly after. He reached for the bowl of acidic soup once more, taking a few gulps of it. He poured himself another shot of sake before downing that as well. "And what are you doing here, girl?" he had asked, seemingly out of character for the rough-looking demon. "You run away from your parents?" The words had a snarky tone to them, yet without humour. He tipped the bottle to refill her cup. She seemed to be able to handle her drink quite well.

Jala laughed the Demon's response. "So you're a bouncer? Ha, I've had my fair share of bouncer traveling around... Stupid Arcosians, denying stuff." Jala started then had changed to a sour tone, remembering a bad memory. She then shrugs and then continues to sip on the soup, now, it was about half gone. She loved this restaurant, and wanted to eat here all the time! He then asked the question of what is she doing here. "Uh, to train. Get some food. I really want to catch up to this Snake guy. He's so goddamn powerful! I want to catch up." Jala says, raising an eyebrow to the Demon. When she heard of Demons, she imagined terrifying creatures that haunted people’s dreams and killed without mercy. This gave her a new light on them. She then heard the next thing from him and it weirded her out. “Uh… I’m 20. I haven’t seen my parents in like, 16 years, 15 years? One of the two. So yea, I can’t run away from my parents if they're dead.” Jala snorts as she takes the cup and downs the Sake, this time, it wasn’t too bad. She actually kinda enjoyed this beverage.

The demon didn't know what a bouncer was, but he surmised that it was someone who was paid to beat people up. It didn't exactly sound like the most honourable of ways to earn a living, but needs must as the devil drives, so they say. He was somewhat intrigued by her mention of 'Arcosian'—he had met with one before. He was a powerful fighter, on par with the demon himself. He had a low opinion of him and, narrow-mindedly, by extension, the rest of the race as a whole.
"If you have come to train, then you will not find many worthwhile opponents here." His hands brought to the front the last dish. Mizumono—a seasonal dessert. In tune with the spring season, three scoops of vanilla ice cream sat in a triangle fashion, draped with strawberry sauce with whole blueberries scattered around the base. He had never tried ice cream before. He placed the chopsticks in the tray to one side and picked up a spoon. A small scoop of the confection raised to his mouth before it wrapped around the head of the spoon. He paused, savouring the taste. Incredibly sweet, yet the slightly sour sauce balanced it incredibly well. It was a perfect contrast to the foods he had prior.
He listened to the girl as he ate his dessert. She was young, but at the good age to hone her fighting skills. He sat for a moment in contemplation of her words. Poor child, one shouldn't lose their parents at such an age—he understood that much. His own upbringing wasn't the greatest either, but he had learned to take it in his stride; nothing can change the past, but it can help shape the future. It was just up to oneself how they would shape it.
"Life is hard. No one in heaven nor on earth makes it easy. You have to take your destiny in your own two hands and shape it as you will. You do what you can." His hand reached over to the bottle to pour the two of them another shot each. "If you aim to train with me, know that your experience will be a painful one." He picked up his cup and lightly tapped it against the saiyan's. "Kanpai." He took a quick swig of his drink, downing it.

"You mean Ee-arth or this place? I found this incredibly strong guy, like your not even a grain of salt compared to him. It's insane how other classed I am compared to him... Yet, I feel the urge to fight him and learn his tech's... To feel the power he has. I guess that comes with being a Saiyan." Jala said, finishing her soup. She turned slightly and saw the customers look at the girl and the Demon carrying a normal conversation. She snorted with a laugh at the customers. It was funny to watch Ee-arthling's reactions to things like this.
Jala then turned back to Sansho as he started to give some life advice, at least that what it sounded like to Jala, which seemed ironic. "Huh, a Demon giving life advice. Never thought I would see the day." Jala joked, chuckling. This has been, truly, a strange experience. "I know that very well, it's like my best friend. I've felt a lotta pain, so it sounds fun. Besides, the more wounded I become, the stronger I be." Jala said she grabbed her now filled the glass full of sake and tapped it against his. She had no idea what he said but said what she thought would be a suitable response. "Cheers mate!" She said, downing the sake, enjoying the taste now.

Sansho held back an otherwise frustrated groan. It took a lot of patience to take the comparison in his stride, but his thoughts just as quickly pondered exactly how strong this person was. He knew that there were people who were incredibly strong, but did not acknowledge that there would be such a power gap between him and this "strong guy."
He hadn't given her or anyone much visual attention, and was startled by her sudden laughter. He looked at her, then around the place. He had noticed they were all gawking at the two of them. He furrowed his brow. "What are you looking at?" he called out to a pair of middle-aged men from across the counter to one side. Asked by anyone else, it would have seemed like a straight forward question—but from a demon, there was no answer except to turn away. Fortunately for them, they did just so, quickly going back to their food.
Another spoonful of ice cream and berries was raised to his pursed lips. He listened casually to the girl and her ramblings. He hummed as he took another mouthful of the dessert. "It is not advice. It is merely truth."
He paused for a moment. He looked up from the counter and shot his gaze towards one of the waitresses. She hadn't noticed the demon, too busy taking the order of another man from the opposite side of the bar. As she turned, she stood in shock. Their eyes met from across the square clearing, and she trembled slightly. A large hand jutted forwards, fingers curling to beckon her. The girl took a slow step forward, then another, then another. Before she knew it, she ended up right in front of him.
"The bill. For both of us." A nervous, absent-minded nod was her reply before she quickly made her way back into the kitchen.
The demon had scarcely made effort to show that he was listening to the saiyan's last sect of verbal stringing. He took another spoonful of his food before replying. "Then I hope you are ready to get plenty of wounds."

Jala snickered at the patron that Sansho asked the question to. "Ah, Ee-arthlings." Jala said chuckling. "Man there amusing." She continued, watching his reaction. The young Saiyaness continued to listen to the Demon, being quiet out of respect. "Very true, it's also ironic coming from a Demon." Jala retorts popping her hands and knuckles, noticing that his food was disappearing.
She started to get twitchy; while she may enjoy some relaxation time, she really loves to fight and she was getting eager. She saw the terrified looking slowly taking step by step and the Saiyan began to smile again. This was so funny, the way these pitiful humans acted. She felt almost sad for them. "Oi, bring some bottles of sake that Sansho had to me." Jala said when the waitress approached. She left after Sansho asked for the bill, Jala quickly fiddled with the Zeni, eager to start the fight. "Damn money... Son of a-..." She cursed, finally grabbing hold of it. "Heh, I am. I'll catch up to you soon." Jala said, feeling like she knew she would.

The waitress didn't give any visible confirmation for Jala's request, but Sansho knew she heard—no one dared to offend the demon and those who were with him, some a couple of times long ago have shown. He watched as she disappeared into the back. By this time he had already finished all of his food, leaving the sticks and spoon on one side of the tray and the bowls lidded. He sat listening to her gawking again and hearing her knuckles crack. She was more determined than he gave her credit for.
It wasn't too long until Sayaki had come back out, approaching the two of them with two separate bills. He placed the slips beside their respective trays. "There you go, sir, lil miss," he said with a small smile on his face, no doubt joyous as to how much he was going to get. Jala's order only cake to a modest 200 zenni. Sansho's on the other hand, ended up totally to 1500.
Sansho paused for a moment. He reached into his gi and pulled out a small leather wallet, thick from all of the notes inside. He placed it between the two slips. "This will cover both."
Sayaki picked it up. The first thing he looked at upon opening it was how much was inside the notes section. Five hundred. One thousand. Two thousand. Three, four, five. He hadn't even gotten through half of it. His eyes shifted to one of the holders, a thumb being placed on the top of a card. Shifting it out slightly, he made out a driver's licence. It had belonged to a man called 'Jack Thorn'. His eyes turned up to the now stood demon and, with a straight face, simply nodded.
"Thank you for your generous patronage, sir," he said simply before pocketing the cash and slipping the wallet into his apron. "I'll be sure to hand the… misplaced wallet to the authorities later."
Sansho nodded, turning and making his way outside.

Jala smiled when the man brought the sake out and quickly reached into her armor and threw her capsule out, and out popped a storage capsule. She quickly put in her sake. In the storage capsule, an Ee-arthling clothes in there. She closed the door to it and pressed the button to make it go to a capsule again, with a poof, it went back to capsule form. She picked it up and went to grab the money, but she overheard the conversation. 'Misplaced wallet?... Oh, that's what he meant by sending people to the hospital and taking the money. Heh, dirty Demon.' Jala thought, laughing softly to herself before standing up, following the Demon outside.
"So, are we fighting here or are we going someplace else?" Jala asked, almost knowing the answer. She knew a normal person wouldn't try to fight in a crowded place, but a Demon wasn't normal. She also was hesitant with innocents around; she didn't want the law after her and she wasn't fond of killing or hurting innocents as well. It didn't sit right with her, and only did it when it was life or death.

Sansho stood for a moment. He didn't give a second thought about fighting away from here, not because of the high chance that innocent people would get caught in the cross-fire, but because he didn't want anything getting in his way. He turned his head to the east, gazing upon the horizon. Beyond the village's limits was the forests. It would prove to be a good place for training, as he had done many times prior.
A red aura suddenly burst from around his body, kicking up and spiralling around him like an inferno for a second before it flared upwards. "This way," he spoke out with a gravelly voice. He took up into the air, kicking up dust and dirt beneath him, before heading off in that direction. He had assumed that the girl could fly if she was so martially trained—if not, then she'd best start walking.
A minute or so later, Sansho touched down into a clearing. Most of it was natural, with only the field's grass taking up the scenery. Beyond several meters were small stumps where trees had been cleared. The demon stood with his arms folded as he awaited his 'partner'.

The Demon said 2 simple words before taking off, leaving Jala there by herself. "Ah! Damn!" Jala muttered, turning on her scouter, locking on Sansho. She took off, following the direction the scouter point, and she reached a clearing. Jala looked around and saw the forest around her. 'Hm, that's good place to hide if need. He knows nothing of me, and it's the same for me. Tch, time to draw him out.' Jala thought. "Heh, ready Sansho? Come on, make the first move!" Jala said, remembering his name. She slipped into her usual stance, her body locked tight together and her arms in front of her. She knew she was outmatched and needed to be defensive for the beginning. "Here are the rules! No killing!"

The two of them stood apart, several meters between the pair. The girl had switched to her fighting stance—tight together with arms in front, almost like a karate stance. The demon had seen it once before in a fight against another saiyan long ago; he had thought that this was probably commonplace amongst them. She had even invited him to make the first move.
He dropped his arms by his side. He needn't a stance against the likes of her. His brow furrowed at her supposed guideline. A flash of crimson erupted from his irises. "This is no game, child." Before she could even so much as quirk a brow, he had already closed the gap. A single, strong rising hook made way to her abdomen, full power. Even if she had the time and reaction to block it, the force would be enough to push her backwards, if not send her flying altogether.

"Game? Child? This is neither a game, nor am I a child!" Jala shot back and after she said that Sansho as immediatly closed the gap and was throwing a right hook right at her abdomen. She quickly lowered her block and to block the attack, and pain began to settle in as she's sent flying back. She quickly spun around and fired ki blasts, quickly stopping her and destroying some of the tree's. "Man... That power wasn't a lie... I'm getting excitied~!" Jala exclaimed and took off towards Sansho.
She made her way back toward Sansho, going right in front of him and yelling, "Surprise!" as her body glowed for a spilt second before shooting out an explosion going outward from her and kicking up dust in the vicinity, which after, she hopped back without a sound. It was thick so you coudn't see through the dust, but for Jala, it was her advantage against people who couldn't sense ki or use a scouter. Her scouter gave an exact position of where he was and she was hiding in the dust, waiting.
