"Almost done, yay," Maxxie said aloud while running on the dirt path, surrounded by grass fields on both sides as far as the eye could see. After having taken care of some business for an ally of hers in the east, the female decided to do her daily jog in that area. She was wearing a purple tank top, black bike shorts, short black socks and black sneakers, and she had her hair in braids like usual. The sun shined above her within the clear sky, making it rather hot, so she left her blue sweater at her home.
Maxxie decided that she would stop running as soon as she got past the welcome sign of Alder Town that she would reach in a few minutes, so she was relieved when she could see it, with it's large colorful buildings. However, she stopped running as soon as she passed some man on the left side of the road that was shouting, 'Weapons! Get your free weapons!' He was behind a large brown cart that had stacks of different types of weaponry on it, including swords, axes, lances, etc. The female stopped because this male was someone she recognized. He was young and tan with short black spiky hair and brown eyes, along with a large athletic body. He wore a red T-Shirt and blue cargo shorts, along with blue socks and blue sneakers.
"George? Is that you?" Maxxie walked up to the cart, putting her hands on top of it and zooming in on the face of who she believed that she knew. She smiled, and the man smiled back.
"Heyo Maxxie! Just stepping in for my dad as he does some business in town. How are you doing lately?" he asked, folding his arms against his chest, waiting for a response.

The sun was blazing today. To bad Soilderp didn't have any sunscreen. As Soilderp flew over the city he wondered about the many faces he could see. He had already met so many new people after leaving his old forest home. But this time was different. He could feel someone down on the ground. They weren't exactly letting out a lot of energy, but they weren't holding back either. As Soilderp lowered to the ground, he saw a weapons vendor. This was the first one he had seen at all, but he had been interested in picking up a weapon for himself to use in battle. A bo staff, his favorite kind of weapon. Soilderp walked up to the vendor. "Hello sir. I noticed you were giving away weapons. Do you happen to have a Bo Staff?"

"Well, I am doing fine, and it is great to hear that he is finally letting you run the shop, if even for a bit," Maxxie answered George.
"He is gonna let you run it to, because now I am asking you for a favor. Some dude left a letter for him here, and he said it was urgent, so can you watch this cart for me while I am gone? The prices are taped right to the back of the cart, so just use that whenever someone wants to buy something. Ok? Thanks!" the man asked, but ran towards the town before Maxxie could even answer him. She was going to say yes, but that didn't really matter anymore. All she could do was maintain her smile and walk behind the cart, becoming it's temporary-temporary owner.
After a few minutes, a boy flew down to the ground in front of the cart.
"Hello and welcome to the Erickson's Weapon Vendor. How may I help you?" Maxxie smiled, introducing the very small shop before letting the stranger talk. He was asking for a bo staff. Maxxie looked over at the pricing list, but then realized that perhaps this was her chance. Her little plan involved George losing money, but she would pay him right from her pocket if she had to.
"Yo, since you can fly, you must be stronger than the average human. Perhaps I can sell you a nice staff in return for your contact information? I am looking for a group of allies that will help me achieve a certain goal of mines. If you don't mind helping out, then you would be fine, since you have enough potential I would say," Maxxie asked him. Lately she has been really accepting of random strangers in her own plot, but no one had betrayed her yet, and they had no reason to. She wasn't some rich person they could steal off of, and she didn't really have any valuables. If they were hoping to scam someone, they would just decline her anyway, then attempt to look for someone like her, but rich.

That was strange. All he wanted was a Bo staff for use in battle, not to join some sort of team. But, he was in need of more allies, just as she was, and it wouldn't hurt to help her, as long as she wasn't planning on hurting anyone. Plus, he really wanted the staff she had mentioned, so he couldn't resist. "Hmmm.... Alright! I'll help you new friend. The name's Soilderp." He reached out and shook her hand very abruptly. "You don't look all that bad, plus I've been absolutely dying for a staff to use in battle." This was the first time since the start of his adventure that anyone had actually asked him to do something. Of course he had met many people who had asked questions of him, but no one even asked for help, or a way to contact him, so he wasn't sure how to answer. "Uhh... Oh right! Here's my phone." Soilderp pulled out a small phone he had found in one of the many large cities he had been to in his travels. He quickly gave her his number and continued on. "So, friend, what do you need help with?"

"Great! It will be a pleasure working with you... Soliderp!" Maxxie replied with excitement in her voice, with a hint of curiosity. 'Who the hell would name their child like that? Oh well,' the woman thought in her head, as it was one of the more peculiar names she had heard in her life time. She held her right hand out, hoping that the boy would do the same and shake her hand.
After Soilderp gave Maxxie his number, she didn't need to pull out her own phone and copy it down, as she memorized it on the spot. At times like these, it was really good for the female warrior to have been gifted with such a great skill. If she went to actual school instead of learning how to fight full time then she would probably be able to ace tests after just glancing at the study material once or twice.
After soilderp would either shake her hand or not, Maxxie would grab the one and only bo staff, ready to hand it to her new buddy, but suddenly a man who was jogging on the road heading towards Alder Town stopped by the weapons cart. He put his hands on the stall while bending over and catching his breath, sweat pouring down his body, barely missing the equipment to Maxxie's relief. He was tall and had a large athletic build, had white skin, was bald, and wore a red sweatshirt and red sweatpants along with red sneakers. Once he was relieved of exhaustion, the stranger stood up straight and smiled at the temporary saleswoman.
"Heya! One bo staff please!" he requested in an enthusiastic manner, but Maxxie had a saddened look on her face.
"Sorry buddy, but the person on your right is about to buy the last one," she replied, wishing that there was more than one. Bo staffs must have been pretty popular since there seemed to be a ton of every other weapon. The large man looked at Soilderp, still smiling before he turned his head back to Maxxie.
"How much is he offering? I will double it," his sweet smile now turned into a smug grin.

Soilderp slowly reached out and shook her hand. It was a welcomed feeling, someone not running away or trying to kill him when they saw him. Either way, he gave her the number and waited for her to retrieve the staff. Suddenly, a man came and put his weight onto the stand. As he caught his breath, he also requested a bo staff. Maxxie quickly pulled up and informed him that Soilderp was already buying. The man then said he'd double his offer. "Sir, I think I was here first." He very quickly turned to the man. "You can either walk away now, or there are gonna be drastic measures. I've lived in a forest for the last 13 years, I think I deserve this more than you." Soilderp was quickly letting his anger get the best of him again. He quickly calmed himself. "Alright, tough guy, let's settle it with this. If you can beat me in an arm wrestling match, I will let you buy the staff, but if I win, I get the staff." He extended his hand to the man wearing the same smug grin he wore a few minutes ago. Soilderp had no tricks up his sleeve, no cheats to pull, nothing of the sort. He could just tell the man wasn't very strong (well for a person of his power anyways). He waited on the man to issue his challenge.

Before Maxxie could say anything in response to the man that was willing to blow double the zeni on some random staff that probably wasn't even worth it in the woman's opinion, Soilderp angrily decided that he would be the one walking away with it, no matter what he had to do. He would even... arm-wrestle the guy? Maxxie laughed at that, as she found it an odd way to settle a financial argument. Well, half financial, since Soil wasn't even paying in zeni, but if the man in the sweats accepted the challenge, then she didn't have to worry about explaining that to him. The female was alright with them doing this for the staff, though she hoped that the person she just traded it to for favors would still do the favor if he lost. Probably not, but Maxxie still hoped.
"You look skinny enough for me to easily break you, so alright," the man replied, shaking Soil's hand. Now that the deal was made, Maxxie looked behind her and pointed at the small round brown table with two seats sitting atop the grass. George and his father put the objects there when they were able to rest a bit, which occurred whenever they didn't have any customers.
"You both can settle this over there. I will hand the winner the bo staff," Maxxie looked back at them, looking quite expressionless.

The man shook his hand. Good, there wouldn't be a fight over how to settle there disagreement. Soilderp sat down at the table followed by the man. Soilderp gave another long, hard look at the man. He was definitely stronger than most humans, but not by much. He also clearly wan't the nicest individual. Either way, Soilderp cracked his knuckles and prepared himself. The man was much larger than him in terms of sheer muscle, but that didn't matter. Maxxie gave the countdown and they began. He didn't even stand a chance. The man stood in shock; a young boy so much smaller than him just beat him in no time flat. "T-That wasn't fair! I wasn't ready! Let's go one more time." They began again, this time, though, Soilderp held him at the mid-way with no effort at all. He then slammed his hand against the table. Ultimately, the man was still in shock. Eventually, everything that just happened registered, and he ran off. Soilderp laughed a little bit, seeing as to how pointless that entire situation was. He stood and looked at Maxxie. "Alright, thanks for the staff! I'll be sure to help you whenever I can, you just need to give me a call."

"Impressive. You are strong just like I assumed," Maxxie said aloud as she stood near the table watching Soil beat the large man with ease, sending the dude running away. The female went back to the cart and picked up the staff, giving it to the victor.
"Alright. I won't need you for a bit, so you can go. Your phone will ring when it is time. Hopefully you will have gotten stronger," Maxxie said to the boy with a smile before going back to the cart and doing the job that she was asked to do.

Huh, that was the first time anyone had actually called him strong. Most people gave him some sort of lecture on how strength wasn't everything, but this person acknowledged his strength (Even though she was stronger). That was very nice of them. The staff she handed over was a solid titanium rod with two carbon fiber grips near the middle and two brass covers on both ends of the staff. It was truly beautiful. Eventually, she told him he was good to go, and she continued to do the job she had been assigned. With his phone, she would contact him when needed. Then there would be some fun. Soilderp said his goodbye, and flew off into the air.
END
Good thread ma boi I'm gonna turn this one in Want Zeni with Human Hybrid Bonus.
