Bored. That one word summed up the hybrid woman’s existence. She was currently on house arrest, as per Officer’s Sharp demands. The woman wanted to tell the man no, but his argument and anger were well-founded. The new stove had cost him half a paycheck to replace, after her ‘using it as a weapon’. The short woman rolled over on the couch, staring up at the ceiling. “If you want to go around doing crazy stuff, at least ensure you have a steady income before breaking other people’s belongings!” Tulip frowned as she recalled Alex’s last words before he left in the morning. What kind of job would hire a midget with the strength of a freight train? Tulip had a decent grasp on human interaction; by that, she meant she understood how to shut people down in under five seconds. Rolling further, the woman fell off the couch with a yelp. Landing on the floor with a soft thud, Tulip finally sat up and screamed in anger. “Dammit! I’ll show you, Alex! I’ll get a job and get paid way more than you! Just you wait!” Rising to her feet, Tulip walked over to the balcony overlooking a ten story drop. Yanking the sliding doors open, she hopped onto the edge of the veranda. Closing her eyes, she let her senses spread outward as she searched for anyone she recognized. A distant ki signature stood out from the rest; belonging to a figure she both knew and respected. On top of that...this signature has changed in feel. Did she improve her abilities? In only a few days? Gotta get to the bottom of this. “On top of that, isn’t she part of the BBA? Maybe I can get a job in her division, be Alex’s superior in ranking. That would be fun.” Grinning to herself, the young woman launched herself off the veranda and began soaring through the air.
The young officer watched his cellphone screen, sighing as the red dot quickly left the city. He shook his head, folding the small device shut. “Sharp, the backup won’t be here for another thirty minutes!” A young, female officer sprinted up to him, slamming back first into the squad car they were crouched behind. She noticed the expression on his face and muttered. “Um, sir, you aren’t planning to rush in, are you?” “No time to wait, kiddo. Buckle down and put on your big girl pants. It’s show-time.” Rising from his position, the officer vaulted over the hood of the car. He sprinted head-long into the pavilion, ignoring the bullets soaring past him. He fired three shots from his revolver and threw a knife with precision from his sleeve Hope whatever you left for was important, Tulip. Could’ve used the assist.
Tulip flew into sight of a familiar forest, before soaring down to land in a clearing she found all too familiar. A lake was only a few hundred meters to the north, while this clearing rested next to a calm river. Noticing the woman she was searching for was in the immediate area, Tulip took a deep breath and shouted. “Oi! Robo-Red! I came looking for job applications!”

The trials she'd undergone left the woman tired, taking a chance to meditate while she could to avoid interference by rather annoying personnel. After the events of the temple and the mess of intergalactic relations she knew of; it was time to at least relax a little bit. Eventually sleeping against a tree, when the red-haired android awoke she was back to searching for more to learn from the temples around; discovering a small cave which brought up a curiosity within her.
Unfortunately, she was miffed when she was interrupted by none other than Tulip, who called her Robo Red. "I'm busy right now!" She yelled back, slowly using her ki to cut a bit more of a way into the curious cave.

Upon hearing Tekuma’s reply, Tulip headed over in her direction. Sure enough, the cyborg was digging out a cave that was all too familiar to the woman. Leaning against the rough rocks at the entrance, Tulip pointed towards the far wall. “This place is plenty big enough for one person to stay in; I should know, I made this cave. What’cha looking for, Tekky?” Grinning, the woman pushed away from the wall and skipped over to where the red-headed teenager was scraping away at the rocks. Setting her palm against the back wall, Tulip spoke again. “If you want a tunnel, I can make it in about...seven seconds without collapsing this entire hill.” Flicking her hand down, the woman created seven silver knives. Each crackled with silver energy, as the young hybrid grinned at Tekuma and waited for her response. The offer was genuine, though the young woman had no idea what the robot wanted a bigger cave for.

Tekuma's tail was waving curiously, her ki cutting away at the cave entrance before she was interrupted and called Tekky. Gloating about how it was made by Tulip herself, still very annoyed at the other woman. "I'm just fine thank-HA" The cave entrance was big enough for the lithe robot to sneak through, landing down below the turf above. Lighting a small stick she conjured with ki, it filled the slightly dark cave with light and warmth.
Grinning, the sense of magic radiating was closer than before. "It's here.. I can sense it." Tossing a ki wave diagonally into the ground, the robot waved Tulip down. "Yo sword lady, get down here!" With that, the hybrid souled cyborg jumped down into the tunnel and slid through the self-made chute. "Woooooo!" The end would vault them both into a temple, with flickering torches and eerie silence. "Sweet.."

The hybrid took note of the redhead’s tail, waving strangely as the cyborg continued cutting away the back of the cave. When the cyborg hardly noted the young woman, Tulip growled slightly in irritation. Tekuma’s hand cut through the back of the cave, sending a cold, damp breeze through the small cave. It was the hybrid’s turn to be shocked as the red-haired teenage girl pumped her fist in victory. “I’m just fine, thank-HA!” Her statement she’d been directing at Tulip dispersed into a cry of triumph. Disappearing into the hole she made, Tekuma left the brown-haired woman standing in the cave behind her. Oi, don’t just jump into caves and crap you randomly open up. You never know what could be hiding inside. Tulip’s face slowly shifted into a scowl, until she saw a small light from within. “It’s here...I can sense it.” Tulip felt Tekuma’s ki shift, before a slight tremble ran through the ground. She’s cutting through more of the cave. Whatever’s down there...might not appreciate that. Tekuma’s body came into the view of Tulip, as the cyborg teenager waved her further inside. “Yo, sword-lady, get down here!” Tekuma vanished from sight, as Tulip stepped through the damp hole into the stagnant air within. Whatever Tekuma had sensed and gotten excited over wasn’t clicking with the hybrid; she could only sense death here, that and the oppressive feeling of something powerful. Something that would only bring the woman more sorrow. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Tulip muttered under her breath. “Come on, Tulip. Get your act together. No reason to be terrified of something notional.” You should be afraid Her emerald eyes snapped open, as the woman summoned twenty blades. All of them shot outwards, turning the immediate area into a pincushion. Her eyes searched the area for the source of the voice, realizing that it was only her imagination. Maybe I should get back to Tekuma...I’m probably just over-stressing this. Sliding down the rough chute cut into the stone only furthered her growing concern. The lit torches and heavy air of ancient things only weighed on the woman. This isn’t a place for the living; this is something locked away for a reason. Glancing over at Tekuma, Tulip grinned sheepishly and muttered. “Oi...Tekky, do you think we should be here? This was hidden inside of that hill for a reason; possibly dark ones.”

Tekuma was excited; having slid all the way down the chute and waiting for Tulip to come down. Tapping her foot slightly to keep herself entertained; the smell of death and the feel of magic had the cyborg very curious and excited, the hybrid finally came down after forever. "Great, now come on! Of course, We'll be fine unless you want to play coward." Disappearing around the corner with a flash of red hair, the woman would grab a book from the shelf.
Yelping, the wall spun and trapped her in a place without air; causing the cyborg to start choking and cried for help once.

“Great, now come on! Of course, we’ll be fine unless you play coward.” Tekuma was far happier than any grave-robber had any right to be. She skipped ahead into a nearby tomb, leaving Tulip behind. The hybrid sighed in irritation. That voice...and this energy. Both together are not a good sign. I won once...will I be able to make it this time? The sound of something slamming shot and a muffled cry made the hybrid’s emerald gaze widen in shock. Sprinting forward, Tulip slid into the room. A wall of spikes was facing the woman; where had Tekuma gone!? A click from the far wall made Tulip’s gaze shift to the side. Seven spears exploded from the wall, soaring towards the woman. Her ki exploded outwards as she took a deep breath. The spears slowed down until they halted, as Tulip barely managed to execute that technique once more. Slapping aside the nearest spears and ensuring the rest wouldn’t slam into her, the woman let out her breath and all the spears slammed into the ground or far wall. As the ancient wooden shafts shattered, Tulip closed her eyes and spread her focus outwards. Come on; your ki wouldn’t be erased unless you died in one shot! You’re too strong for that, Tekuma! A faint outline was visible through the wall of spikes directly in front of the woman. Eyes snapping open, Tulip threw both of her arms out and downwards. Two silver knives formed in the fingertips of both hands. Flicking the blade of the knives outwards, she created two dozen knives in her hands. Thrusting her hands forward, the hybrid launched every knife into the wall around the outline she had seen. All the blades buried into the dark stone, as Tulip shot forward. She slammed her hand into the stone wall as the knives exploded, turning the wall to dust inwards, to reduce the chances of striking the red cyborg. The ceiling shifted as something clicked when Tulip yanked the piece of the remaining wall outwards and slung it backwards. It slammed into the far wall further up, catching the falling ceiling as it buried itself into the wall. The hybrid grinned at Tekuma and muttered. “So, Tekky, can we leave? There’s more traps, and the ceiling of this room is about to collapse.”

Tekuma was choking, feeling the world around her start to fade away as she choked on the ancient dust, being compressed and suffocating slowly and rather painfully. The ancient wooden shafts shattered as her ki began to flicker and fade, falling limp as part of her began to embrace death once more. Was she to die again? Was the cyborg meant to stay in otherworld, would this be a destiny the girl was fated to have, eternally trapped in the afterlife away from her adopted family?
The wall crumbled and she tumbled out onto the floor, weakly coughing out some of the dust she'd inhaled and falling through a hole in the ground. There was still light down here, and it wasn't too far down but the feeling of magic was ever stronger, guiding the now slightly back to normal hybrid further into the temple. Her job did include hunting magic artifacts, besides slacking on training for the Xylo threat wouldn't be that bad right? Just do double the stuff tomorrow.

As the red-headed woman slipped from Tulip’s arms to her knees, the young woman attempted to grab the cyborg. A click echoed through the chamber, as the doorway suddenly shut. Spikes extended inwards from all the walls, as they slowly began grinding inwards. Of all the cliche, bullshit possibilities! Her hand shot down towards Tekuma, as her other hand began creating the strongest blade she could muster. When her hand closed on nothing, her emerald gaze shot down. Only a hole in the ground remained where Tekuma had been, one that descended further into the crypt. Suppressing a groan of fury and distaste, Tulip dispelled the blade and jumped over the hole. Hopping into the air, the woman tucked her arms in as she passed downwards through the dusty, dark hole. Landing on the bottom on all fours, Tulip’s gaze darted around through the cloud of dust she had kicked up. Her slight pause had given Tekuma a head-start. Looking down the long, torch-strewn path that Tekuma was slowly walking down, Tulip could only draw one word to describe this: Trap. Slowly walking forward, her gaze remained steady and her breathing level. The musty, dust laden air was tinged by a slight taste of iron, as the woman halted in her step. A slight click shifted the silent air, as her arm shot out to one side. A huge, person-sized spear hurtled down the hallway, aimed at the cyborg’s back. Catching it in one hand, Tulip slid forward from the momentum of the spear, before finally sliding to a stop. As she dropped the spear to one side, another, almost inaudible click shifted the air. The short woman fell backwards and landed on one palm as a silver blade cleaved the air she had just occupied in half. Where she set her hand sunk in and a whirring sound activated for a moment. Her eyes widened in shock and despair as clicks echoed throughout the entire hallway. Darting forward, the woman let her aura swell up, before she swept Tekuma up into her arms. A boom echoed through the hallway as all the torch flames swayed from a gust of air that shot through the hallway. Her pace never slowed as she shouted to Tekuma. “Do you trust me!? I can get us through this hallway in only a moment; every trap is getting ready to go off, so this is definitely not the place to be!” A quick glance back showed a giant boulder had just fallen into the corridor and was rapidly gaining speed. Fuck!

Tekuma was excited nonetheless of what was happening, sensing Tulip jump down into the hole with her. The torched hallway has the female only a little bit nervous, the traps giving her a rush of adrenaline but a click made her freeze. The huge spear was close to having ended the cyborg if the hybrid hadn't saved her, earning the woman some respect from the near-adult teenager. Hair glowing in the light thanks to the ki constantly coursing through it, A whirring sound activated causing her to curse.
"Tulip what the hell are you doing! You trying to set off everything in this damned place!" Getting swept into the female's arms, the cyborg turned bright red and weighed quite a fair bit more thanks to the glittering ornate wristbands on her, well, wrists. "If you could stop yelling in my ears maybe! Just go!" The boulder had her worried, before the female's hands started glowing and a white mist would cover them. launching the white mist at the boulder, it would make the floor behind them sticky and slow it down somewhat.

Tulip ignored the weight of the cyborg in her arms, instantly dismissing it as extra weight due to her being mechanical. The red-headed cyborg shouted back a reply, which made the woman wince in return. “If you can stop yelling in my ears, maybe! Just go!” Tekuma wrapped her arms around Tulip’s sides, before stretching her palms out backwards. Something strange tinted the air, but Tulip could check to see it, it was already past. Got her approval; time to test this. Stepping firmly on the ground, Tulip’s gaze stretched down the length of the hallway, searching for the most likely escape. When her eyes landed on a narrow break that dust circled in front of, her eyes narrowed in satisfaction. That’s the one. Repeating the actions from the room before, Tulip took a deep breath, but only focused on reaching the edge of that skill. To her, Tekuma’s warmth turned distant, as the flickering flames of the torches shifted into barely moving statues. Dashing forward, dust was kicked up by her feet but hung in the air, trapped by the warped reality of time. She could feel the panels activating under foot, as her weight forced them downwards, but knew they wouldn’t catch her or Tekuma in this warped reality. As the woman neared the end of the long hallway, she realized her body was beginning to hurt severely. Her lungs burned, her head ached, and her vision was blurry. Forcing herself the remaining twenty feet, her ki slipped as she stumbled into the hallway. When Tekuma left her arms, Tulip’s grip on time slipped. For the cyborg, reality had suddenly kicked into overdrive, scenery flying past in almost an instant. As Tulip forced herself up and further into the hallway, the boulder slammed past the area they had just left. A breeze came from further in, as the young woman leaned back against the wall and struggled to catch her breath. When her vision began clearing, Tulip muttered. “Dammit, you made that seem so easy.” It would be clear from her breathless tone and stance the sentence wasn’t meant for Tekuma, but someone far from this ridiculous situation.
