The heavy and yellow colored boots softly bumped against the asphalt of the outer road that leads to the main city. This narrow way stretched onwards infinitely, or so it seemed. The excellently painted white lines across the asphalt reflected on the scorching heat that the sun provided at this time of the day. The horizon far away looked distorted; the heat caused visible waves through the air and made the travel almost feel like it was going to be a trippy one.
The pace of the human was slow but steady. For strategical purposes, he had taken the longer route to the city, and as expected, the ride was as boring as it could get. Due to the excessive heat this continent provided, the wildlife was almost inexistent and so was the plant life as well, so Kaito had to travel alone throughout all the journey from the Southern Islands in here. There was a reason why the blondie was walking just like a normal person in the midst of all this heat. For starters; a mission rested on his shoulders. Yes, that kind of exciting thing which races everybody's heart up. It wasn't a necessarily hard one per say, if you showed enough caution you would be able to execute this kind of duty, and hence all the normal acting; civil clothing, eye-relaxing black glasses, a small sized brown work bag and a cowboy hat. The situation was extremely uncomfortable for Kaito though; he not only wasn't suited for this kind of clothing/accessories, but he also had worn his Gi under the formal suit. He was very confident he was going to fight anyway. However, there was a purpose for all this suffering. This way at least, Kaito would be under disguise and not give off the vibe that he was a martial artist and moreover a threat to the evildoers in the West Capitol.
It was a given that Kaito was aware of the mission he was going to commit. Earlier this day, the Galactic Patrol headquarters received a call and the human was immediately summoned by Beryl in his office. The shady looking dark skinned human instructed Kaito the details of the mission. The mayor of the West Capitol had called the faction seeking help with a messy situation that had cracked in the city; a group of thieves had been wreaking havoc across the entire town. Sounded pretty normal to the human, until Beryl pointed out that two or three out of the thugs' gang weren't ordinary fighters; in fact, the police had taken care of the most less skilled thugs but they couldn't come close to these. The possibility of the leader being one of these three was huge as well, so Kaito's essential fighting strategy was to take out the leader first if it was so easy. The ingenuous human was not expecting Beryl to give him a medium sized pack when he was about to leave the office. Inside the box, there lied the purposely designed clothes for camouflage, and the rest was history.
After a little while of walk, the civil Kaito had arrived beside an abandoned fountain. Before he washed his face with its clean and cold water, he made sure that no one was around the area. After all, it would be troublesome that all this gentleman would be so primitive as to use a fountain to quench his thirst. Once satisfied, the human set off again. The entrance to the West Capitol was right in front of his eyes and he could already hear the screamings of the innocent people running around in fear from the delinquents. "For Kami-Sama's sake, this is terrible!" The human spurned. It would not be far-fetched if you could compare the current chaos with the preparations of a huge war happening between two powerhouses of countries. Kaito felt that if he did not do something about it right now, it would be too late to avoid certain consequences.
The human ran as fast as he could without giving away too much to a spot where a lot of police cars had crashed with one another. Inside one vehicle which happened to the first in the row, lied a cop with an injured and bloody shoulder. He seemed that he was having trouble to stay conscious at all and was on the verge of passing out from blood loss. Kaito immediately opened the bag he was carrying; it was secretly a first-aid kit. The human had expected the worst before arriving in here. He treated the cop's injury and prevented the blood from coming out excessively. Kaito's help, although not quickly, brought the cop to his senses again.
"T-thank you, young man, I appreciate your help. But shouldn't be with everyone in the shelter and-." The cop coughed before he could finish the sentence. Kaito comforted him by patting his back and told him his secret; he was sent here as an agent to deal with the situation, and that he wanted to know more about the situation. The cop pulled a radio from the dashboard and started talking for a minute or two with the other police filled areas. Then he put it back and saw towards Kaito with a dissatisfied look. He told the blondie that all the minor problems were taken care of bar the terrible trio, or so the cop called the group of three supposedly powerful fighters. He then continued on explaining the thugs' details, what they looked like and the general abilities of theirs. Kaito gritted his teeth. Every other second he was spending here could mean more casualties, so he thanked the cop for the information and traveled toward the inner city.
"Where are ya' goin' in such a relaxed manner like that, young man?!"
A voice interrupted Kaito from heading further. He could not have been more wrong, though; Kaito was anything but calm in those moments. Guess he was very good at concealing his inner emotions. Pink, wavy hair is pulled back to reveal a thin, charming face. Clear blue eyes, set graciously within their sockets, watch cautiously over the blondie's external frame. He was donning a gray tank top and yellow pants. There was no room for mistake; he was one of the three thieves who excelled in speed and agility. The pink haired guy was called Sawada and is considered to be the weakest one out of them.
"Tch, underrating us, will ya'? Are you even aware of the situation right now?"
Kaito was at advantage, actually. He could play the role of a confused and busy businessman who was just late for his interview at his new job. Gambling on this, Kaito approached the man and spoke with a soft, insecure voice. "W-why hello, Oji-san. I-I am actually not from this city and it's my first day in here. I was searching for this company located at a very tall tower and I was told it would be around this area..." Then he looked at his watch, pulling a concerned face before shifting his gaze at Sawada again. "... But it seems I'm lost again. My job is lost too, at this point..." This scheme was giving its fruits; the pink haired man had let his guard down but his face indicated that he was in a bad mood. This is what Kaito intended for; an opponent with his guard down and the range was fitting. The only downside were the clothes. It was too tight to even move properly and the blondie was unsure whether the assault he was about to deal would be fully effective. Sawada growled before expressing his thoughts on Kaito's words. "Look, brat. I don't know what the fuck you talkin' 'bout in here, but you should really getcha' ass goin' and never turn ya' head back. Be lucky that I'm sparring your sor-" The last few sounds of Sawada's words would not be able to be spoken externally at all, for a potent punch coming his face's way completely smashed the man several meters away. "Damn it! These cursed clothes, they didn't let me finish him!" By the punch's impact, Sawada had crashed against a building and leaving a small sized crater in the shape of his frame. His astonishment was greater than the damage he received, though. He mumbled his way out of the crater and stood on feet, coughing a small amount of blood on the floor. "H-hehe... Ya' got me good, ya' fuckin' asshole!" Filled with anger, Sawada flicked a small pistol and fired at the human before dashing against Kaito who had already gotten rid of his formal clothes. No point in having them on your body anymore. The blondie showcased his red Gi with the Galactic Patrol badge stamped close at his heart area. Assuming a generic battle stance, the human effortlessly dodged the bullets and anticipated Sawada's approach till his fist could connect with him. The adversary's speed was nowhere as great as the Galactic Patrol's officer's and as a result, he could read his moves like an open book. Kaito swiftly delivered a jab at the man's face, slowing him down and obscuring his vision to the point that his thrown punch missed ridiculously. "Behind you!" Kaito swept his leg towards Sawada's and forced him to stumble on the ground. Now that his balance was disturbed, Kaito could freely deal a lethal elbow hit located at Sawada's heart. The thug whined in pain and abruptly smashed with the ground. Seconds before he passed out, he threatened the human that just because he lost did not mean that he had saved the day. There were still the other two roaming free, after all.
If Kaito could feel relieved for a moment, it would be because the man he took down was rumored to be very fast, yet Kaito did not receive a single hit from him, and he did not feel impressed with his speed either. Maybe the information about his abilities was just mixed up by the cop earlier. The human could not shake his mind off the other two thugs, though. The only things he knew about them were they excellent at teamwork and had an immeasurable sense of spreading terror and negativity.
The Galactic Patrol officer floated in the air and scanned around with his eyes closed. He relied on his sixth sense; a common attribute of his. "Two mobile objects heading this way at a fair speed. They're moving on a car and it seems they're forcing fear into the civilian's hearts. This is terrible!" His golden locks had set themselves free from the hairpin which was holding them firmly. Opening his eyes, Kaito frowned his eyebrows southward; that was the direction where the car was traveling at a ridiculous speed, not caring about who or what they run over. The human gathered all his force and flared his white aura while raising his tone of voice charging up. In a blink of an eye, Kaito had summoned himself right in front of the moving car, leaving the driver and the passenger with their mouth open and eyes almost setting free from their eye sockets. The car braked abruptly but they couldn't absorb the clash with Kaito's aura fully; as a result, the vehicle was as good as ruined and a cloud of black smoke came from the motor. The two thugs got out of the car as angry as they could get and cussed at the human with whatever words they could think of in that moment. stingedThis cunning guy has slanted orange eyes that are like two flames. His silky, straight, gold hair is medium-length and is worn in a utilitarian style. He is very tall and has a slender build. His skin is light-colored. He has small ears and bushy eyebrows. His wardrobe is tight and simple, with a mostly black and purple color scheme. Whereas for the other guy, he puts you in mind of a scuttling lizard. He has slanted red eyes that are like two rose petals. His thick, straight, white hair is worn in a style that reminds you of a seashell. He is short and has a graceful build. His skin is ruddy. He has a weak chin and small feet. His donned clothes of gray and red. He was holding a cigarette in his mouth. They were called respectively Katsura and Fukubei.
The duo jumped in front of the car and confronted the Galactic Patrol officer. Taking notice of his Gi, they quickly got into a fighting stance, conscious of the danger that he could pose against their deeds and most importantly, their faces. "You're as better as dead now, scum!" Kaito warned them with a furious tone. He'd assumed his special fighting stance; clenched fist pulled inward and followed by an outward stretched hand with three fingers in the air and the other two grasped tightly against each other. Fukubei, the smoking dude, gave a look toward his teammate, who immediately understood the scheme. Kaito did not have time to analyze their actions properly, for a basic Ki sphere headed his way in an above arc. "Ki manipulation, huh? Not bad!" The human jumped up in order to avoid while following the route of the Ki ball with his eyes. In a sudden moment, a shadow engulfed his whole being from further above. "You let your guard down, asshole!" Katsura had appeared above Kaito to deliver a straightforward punch to his cheek, which pinned Kaito to the ground. Thstunga little bit, not leaving the human a chance to grasp the situation fully. Before he could get up in feet, Fukubei had jumped up and was raining down on Kaito with his knee stretched outward, aiming to hit his abdominal area. The human acted swiftly; he barrel rolled to his right, effectively dodging the knee which smashed against the asphalt instead. Eyeing his foe who was hurt, Kaito went for an abdominal kick, which was unfortunately blocked by his teammate, Katsura. The patroller bounced on feet backwards as to save distance and adapted into his stance again. "As the cop stated, these guys are excellent in their teamwork. The only way I can get around this situation is to seperate them by at least a medium range radial." Katsura helped Fukubei get back on feet as they were mumbling with each other again, undoubtedly making plans on how to take down Kaito. For that matter, the human was quicker. He fired a basic Ki blast aimed at their middle space. The thugs had no other way but to dodge in their respective sides. Fukubei, who had jumped rightward, would immediately confront a potent and lethal punch dealt by Kaito, who had appeared behind him in a matter of a moment. This strong hit rendered the thug unconscious, maybe for the rest of the match. "Fukubei! Damn it. Where is Sawada when you need him?!" Katsura growled angrily. He began to find himself in a hard spot; his fighting style was completed with his other teammate who was out of commision for the moment.
"Sawada, you say? Oh, that punk I took down earlier?" Kaito made a joke about his friend. The thug gritted his teeth, in derealization that such a person like Kaito had ruined their plans. "You fucking shithead! You'll pay for this!" That was the moment when Katsura took out a samurai sword, hidden inside of his clothes. He took off in an immediate manner towards the patroller and swung the dangerous blade around his torso area. The human jumped backward while ducking, but he had fallen prey to Katsura's plan. The samurai sword was but a diversion, as he took out a smaller sharp knife. The thug effectively thrust this blade and managed to deal a superficial cut at Kaito's chest. The human screamed in pain and retreated almost instantly; whilst a tigery-look spread across his face. His primal attributes had come into surface; the human kept his cool nevertheless. He now was against an opponent with two blades; one bigger than the other. Kaito definitely needed a new strategy, one he quickly came up with as he started his rush against Fukubei. As he got close range, the thug went for his old strategy again, but this time, he used both of his blades, covering a wider area and having better posibilites to hit Kaito. When it almost seemed that the thug got successful at his strike; he'd slashed nothing but a mirage version of Kaito. The human had appeared behind Katsura's back and karate-chopped the guy with a Ki-infused fist. He had used the Afterimage technique. This way, he put an end to the battle.
"Phew... They put me in some trouble at a degree..." The human said as he put treatment into his wound. The cops arrived immediately and took care of the two fallen thugs. The reporters had come out from their hiding places and rushed for the battlefield, only to find no one in there. Kaito had left for good in an unknown direction while viewing from afar; he wasn't the type to boast in the media. The human smiled and then shifted his look towards the promising future; he had successfully executed the first mission of the Galactic Patrol.
