SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
Chai was still... recovering from his little episode in the desert. Currently the goat had headed back to the northern regions to just relax and think after his little escapade with his sword partner. Certain... revelations shocked the duo during Guardia's trip to find Chai into the Fortuneteller's Desert, which was clearly successful.
Sighing as he continued down the snowy path, the goat decided to push away those unpleasant thoughts for now. He had to keep up his training to pursue the ultimate goal he let Tulip, Collan, Bing, Hinawa, and EGG into. How he was going to save his world. How he came from another world. Huffing once more, the white furred warrior leaned against a snowy tree, looking out across a partially frozen lake. Mount Frappe stood tall over the land, asserting it's authority with it's colossal height. The wind whispered as the snow fell like confetti on Chai's woolen black hood. He gazed at the untouched snow in front of him- The swirling white and the lush grass collided with little disturbance.
The shrubs and trees were stained with white, while the ground was as smooth as a cake and the snow fell like icing powder, perfecting it to its finest point. Despite the bandanna over Chai's muzzle, puffy breaths visibly flew from his nostrils and into the chilly air. The goat had a few new scars to bare as well, but he had worse. All was quiet. Hardly even a breeze in the trees- the wild had silenced itself like a scolded dog. Yet somewhere in the trees a bird sung to itself, a melody Chai longed to hear back in his world. The goat warrior from another world came to a stop in front of the icy lake. The pond was only beginning to freeze near the shores, with root-like strands of the frozen water branching out into the liquid. Everything was tranquil, untouched this deep into the wilderness between the Yunzubit Highlands and Mount Frappe. He came out here to train, and this seemed like a nice spot he could have to himself. Everytime he wanted to train, it seemed like someone just had to butt in to join him. This time was no exception either, it seemed- Chai's senses quickly kicked in as he picked up a familiar ki nearby.
Ears twitching somewhat, Chai sensed Tulip's Ki approaching- and it seemed she had grown stronger since they had last met. With his luck, Chai could only assume that the saiyan hybrid may want some training with the goat from a different world. Chai grew up in a hard and unforgiving world, and his mind had become somewhat stiff. Yet under his armor was another man only some saw- and Tulip was most likely aware of what was under Chai's armor after he told her his big secret back at the Crimson Striker Diner. Awaiting the approach of the female, Chai would just sit back against the tree he was leaning against, watching her Ki approach...

Thrusting her hands outwards, the young hybrid shouted in rage as she summoned two bastard swords and caught the heavy blades. Spinning both in opposing directions, the woman stepped forward and cut through the boulder in front of her. The rock shifted before collapsing into four different chunks. Dispelling both blades, the woman summoned a spear and slammed it into the larger rock, before launching the chunk of stone into the air. Dispelling the blade, she summoned five knives . Throwing them with precise accuracy, the woman sunk all five blades into the rock. All the blades began crackling with ki, before exploding as the woman activated the ki blasts. Sighing, Tulip collapsed back onto the earth. Sweat ran down her brow and dripped onto the earth behind the woman. She stared at the blue sky overhead and focused on the cool breeze blowing through the air. Coming to the mountains...was the right decision. Slowly rising to a seated position, the woman’s gaze traveled outwards to the natural quarry she’d been training in. Dozens of the huge boulders had been cut down to almost nothing, while the stone walls had hundreds of deep cuts through their faces. The woman hopped onto her feet, preparing to summon her strongest weapon, the silver slayer, when a slight ki presence in the distance made the woman pause. Ah...that’s the guy from the other world. He mentioned something about me and silver hair. Gah, I’ve already forgotten most of it. He’s notably stronger. The woman glanced down at her thin frame, noting the places where the weights hung on her small frame. A slow smile crossed her face as she muttered. “Strong enough to give me a run for my money. Time to head over.”
Soaring over the frozen lake, the woman’s gaze finally fell upon the warrior, resting against a tree. Descending to the ground, the woman landed firmly on the ground and slowly walked across the empty ground to stand in front of Chai. Grinning, the young woman spoke to the goatman, breath fogging in the cold air. “Hey, Chai, it’s been a while. How you doing, Guardia?” Crossing her arms, the woman waited for the response from either member of the dynamic duo.

SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
Soon enough, Tulip showed. Asking how the goat and sword duo were doing, a smile would creep across Chai's muzzle beneath his bandanna. He had grown to somewhat trust this benevolent version of Tulip. Chai had only ever heard tales about the Silver Slayer from his comrades, and never met her parallel himself. Still, it was enough to send a chill down the goat warrior's spine. Her power now didn't match the supposed millions that his comrade's Scouters picked up. The potential in this hybrid swordsman was flat-out scary. But for now, they were on mostly even footing if Chai and Guardia put their heads together against this fighter.
Upon being asked how they were doing, a muffled voice would echo in the minds of Tulip and Chai as the scabbard tied around Chai's waist rumbled for a moment. Slipping out like a glove, Guardia would fly out of his sheath and briefly orbit the two fighters, his incredible power that dwarfed both Chai and Tulip together resonating. Shaking some snow off of his hilt and brushing himself off with his crossguards, Chai eyed Guardia as the blade spoke first. 'Oh, we're doing fine, mate. Save for some recent hiccups.' Guardia spoke with a roll of his eye, narrowing it and staring at a somewhat sweaty Chai. Something happened, for sure. Shaking his head, the goat closed his eye and spoke in a rather blunt and strict tone. "...I'd hate to continue being Mr. Mystery, but I would rather not talk about that." Shaking his head and trying to forget about those "recent hiccups," the goat would speak once more. "But don't worry about us-- we're fine. You know we've been through worse." The furry white warrior spoke, scratching the back of his head with a meek smile beneath his bandanna.
'What's imporant now is that Chai and I train 'ere in this world's safe haven. We do have a whole universe to save, after all!' Guardia spoke telepathically to the two again, doing a little flip in the air. Nodding to his partner, Chai knew that they both had to keep spirits and morale high for now. The duo couldn't be a bunch of downers now- they had to train and get stronger to eventually return to their home universe in order to save the world. Standing up seven feet tall, Chai would cross his arms and tilt his head to the side, eyeing Tulip. She was stronger than when they last met, for sure.
"So, what brings you into this neck of the woods? Training like us, I assume?" The masked ninja edgelord of a goat spoke while Guardia flew over to the lake, merely looking at his reflection again for a moment. He was close to breaking free- he could already taste the freedom... Oh, how he missed his limbs... But like he just said, they had to keep spirits and strength high. Glancing between Tulip and Chai for a moment, an idea struck the blade. 'Oi! Wanna train with us, hybrid? We can even spar if 'ya want!' Guardia spoke, causing Chai to raise a brow. His last fight and only fight thus far in this world with Bing ended in obvious failure. It would be nice to have someone he can go toe to toe with and go all out...

As Tulip walked forward, she heard the demon blade speak first, low voice echoing in her head. The blade flew free of its scabbard, radiating with the strength unique to the blade. Tulip could surpass it if needed, but that would be more work than the woman liked. Her gaze went back to the Goatman, as the blade shook snow off itself. ‘Oh, we’re doing fine, mate. Save for some recent hiccups,’ The blade’s single eye rolled before narrowing as his gaze went to Chai. Chai shook his head and closed his eye, before responding in turn. “...I’d hate to continue being Mr. Mystery, but I would rather not talk about that.” Shaking his head softly, the goatman continued speaking. “But don’t worry about us; we’re fine. You know we’ve been through worse.” The man scratched the back of his head, bandana shifting in a way that hinted at a possible smile. The sword spoke again, flipping once in the air after declaring they had an entire universe to save and training to prepare for that climactic event. The woman smirked softly as she set her hands on her hips and watched the two. Both sword and goatman made an interesting pair. All be that Chai stood two feet over the smaller woman, she still enjoyed their presence. The two had an edge to them that not even Levlidian had; a sort of ‘real’ edge that Tulip only assumed was a result of their time in the alternate universe. The tall man crossed his arms, which made the woman look up into his eyes. “So, what brings you into this neck of the woods? Training like us, I assume?” Chai spoke, as the sword spun out of view. Tulip began gathering her breath to reply, when the blade spoke. ‘Oi! Wanna train with us, hybrid? We can even spar if ya want!’ The goatman raised his brow in response to this, as the woman glanced back towards the sword. She could still sense the powerful energy locked inside that black blade, knew it was dangerous beyond measure. And that excited the woman. Licking her lips, the woman stepped back, gaining some distance from Chai and Guardia. Thrusting one hand outwards, the woman’s ki began spiking. Her hair began waving from the focusing ki, before the woman shouted loudly. A flash of silver filled the air, before dispersing with a gust of wind that sent snow and dust up into the air. The young hybrid was clutching a silver longsword, crackling with silver ki. She stared at Chai and spoke loudly enough for both sword and goat to hear her declaration. “I’d love to spar with the two of you. I’ve only fought martial artists, no swordsmen, to date. A battle with a skilled swordsman will do me good. A word of warning, since I already know Guardia’s nature: I have the ability to create blades now, gifted to me by a demon that resides in my soul. This is only one of an infinite numbers of blades that resides in my heart, needing only my ki and mind to take shape.” Flicking the blade to one side, the sparks were dashed off the end of the blade and destroyed the ground they struck. She wasn’t holding back anything; Guardia was so much more powerful than the woman it was suicide to do so. Taking a slow breath of the cold, winter air, Tulip waited for the ninja to make his move.

SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
Guardia waggled his metallic brow, recognizing Tulip's excitement. The sword from another world was indeed a powerful force, but Guardia was still greatly held back. He recalled his time as a fully fledged, released demon in the depths of the Demon Realm and later Hell. Guardia could only dream of regaining his limbs, and soaring through the skies with his bright wings of chromatic ki. His demon form resembled a mighty gargoyle, and would stand tall even over Chai when he wasn't slumped over. Oh, how he envied his alternate self in this world that had broken free from his blade...!
Sighing telepathically, Guardia found little point to dawdling on the "what ifs." Tulip spoke to the dynamic duo, speaking of how she had fought many martial artists, but no swordsmen as of yet- Chai was the first sword-wielding fighter she had met, it seemed. Chai raised a brow when Tulip went to warn them, speaking of an "infinite number of blades in her heart thanks to a demon." Guardia's voice resounded in Chai's mind alone. 'Tch! Copycat...' Guardia's voice echoed, causing Chai to narrow his eye at his partner, speaking telepathically to just the blade now. 'Guardia, it's not the same thing.' The goat spoke. There was a demon's soul inside of Tulip or something- wheras Guardia's soul was confined in a sword. Still, the goat's remark did little to quail the blade's anger. 'Is too!! There can only be ONE badass sword demon in this reality!!!' Guardia bellowed, his form twitching somewhat. He was a prideful being. Despite disliking his inanimate confines, Guardia enjoyed the attention he received as a living object. It was an odd phenomenon that some took great interest in.
Tulip flicked her own blade aside, the sparks cracking the icy lake and the ground nearby. Chai's trehcncoat and ears fluttered in the wind, which began to howl with the two powering up. "Well then..." Chai spoke, releasing his own ki. The flecks of light danced around the goat while wisps of multicolored energy flew around like streamers. "We won't be holding back either." Chai spoke, raising a hand and spreading his fingers apart, a ball of ki forming in his palm. Throwing his arm back, Chai would aim to fire a basic blast of multicolored ki Tulip's way to get her on the move. Grabbing Guardia by the hilt, the goat garbed in black would leap back, letting his ki flicker and flare.
Chai was the shield and the defensive side of the two- and Guardia was quite literally the sword and covered the offense side Chai lacked in. The rainbow aura around Chai began to intensify, while Guardia's blade grew in length and began to flicker with a fiery glow. Tulip was stronger than Chai now for sure- but the goat warrior had Guardia by his side. Together, could the duo overcome this parallel to one of their greatest foes?

“Well then…” The young hybrid could only watch in silence as the air around the goat began spiraling inwards. Multicolored specks of energy spiraled around the goat, as his voice became serious and firm. “We won’t hold back either.” As his declaration reached Tulip, the goatman thrust one hand upwards. A ball of ki formed in his hand, before he thrust his palm towards her. With a click of her tongue, Tulip swung her blade upwards in a silver arc, destroying the ki in a blast of silver and multicolored energy. Her blade swung wide, before the woman released her grip on the sword. It spiraled through the air, spinning through the air above Chai and Guardia. She noted his hand landing on Guardia. I won’t let you take the lead! The ground behind the woman cracked as she shot forward at her max speed. She tried to ensure she was moving fast and low, to avoid Chai and Guardia’s combination technique. Her silver sword suddenly sped up, shooting downwards hilt-first to slam into Guardia’s hilt, forcing the sword upwards as the woman shot forward and planted her feet firmly. Bringing one fist back, Tulip narrowed her focus and summoned her ki. The longsword dispersed into nothing, as silver lightning suddenly formed around her hand. She noted the flames running down the black blade the goat clutched. The lightning shot further outward, as the woman realized that the blade was doubtless preparing an attack that would severely damage her. “Reach, DAMMIT!” The ground exploded outwards, as a huge blade materialized on Tulip’s back and cut a furrow into the ground. Her fist, covered in lightning and silver energy shot through the air, intent on shattering the blade or at least dispersing the energy coating it.

SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
The basic blast of rainbow ki the goat from another world fired did little to nothing- Tulip easily dispersed the blast with her blade. He watched as it spiralied in the air above the two, but quickly brought his attention back to the fight at hand. Chai stood his ground while Tulip charged him, digging his heels into the cracked ground and raised up Guardia's blade to parry her oncoming attack, whatever it may be. The zoan quickly tilted his own sentient blade to direct Tulip's sword's downward blow to the sentient sword's fuller instead of the ever so delicate eye on his hilt. Guardia let off a quick grunt while the blow landed, the rainbow flares emitting from his blade quelling for a moment- but just a moment. Resuming his charge, Guardia eyed the woman with newfound determination.
Chai glanced upwards, watching as electricity crackled, and a large blade materialized on Tulip's back. Damn- she wasn't kidding around about the infinite swords thing... But there was only one sword for Chai- and that was Guardia. Snapping back to the battle when Tulip charged once more with a fist coated of silver energy with the intent of cancelling Guardia's charging attack, a smile would spread across the goat's face.
Before Tulip could whack Guardia with her fist, Chai would let out a shrill roar as he lifted the blade into the air, swinging Guardia downwards into a crescent formation. Firing the charged blast of energy, Guardia would stare up at Tulip with a smug glance. There was no way that she could win against the combined power of Chai and himself! Guardia's eye was filled with cocky overconfidence- but could the hybrid warrior put the arrogant sword in his place?
The crescent attack fired from Guardia's blade would briefly struggle against Tulip's ki-infused fist, before the Spectral Crescent fired from the sword overcame the attack Tulip put so much energy into. Landing back on the ground, Chai would begin to charge his own attack. The ki flaring from the goat slowly began to fly back onto his form, landing onto his clothing or exposed face and crystallizing like the ice on nearby frozen lake. "Using all that energy right off the bat, hm?" Chai spoke, eyeing the saiyan-human hybrid.
'T'was probably NOT the best move when you're being double teamed. Conserve your energy while making and taking those openings!' Guardia would speak to Chai and Tulip, commanding the hybrid to be a little more sensible. This was a training session after all, and Chai and Guardia would make sure that Tulip left out of this with a little more strength and knowledge than before- but could she also teach this stalwart duo a thing or two?

As the hybrid’s fist flew forward, Chai roared in response and managed to swing the blade. Fuck; that counter wasn’t enough. The sword swung downwards, blast of dark energy colliding with the woman’s fist midway. She could feel the menacing, dark energy being resisted for a few, brief moments before the darkness swept over her arm and sent the woman sliding backwards from the impact. Ignoring the damage and pain in her arm, Tulip leapt backwards, increasing the distance between the two. Her arm then fell limp, hanging by her side. Damage is not horrible, but it will hurt to use in battle, unless I pump it full of Ki and force it into battle. Her emerald gaze narrowed, as the ki floating around Chai circled inwards and landed on the goat and blade, creating a film of energy similar to the ice coating the lake and the area around them. Chai spoke, his single eye focused on the hybrid. “Using all that energy right off the bat, hm?” “T’was probably not the best move, when you’re being double teamed. Conserve your energy while making and taking those openings!” Guardia’s demonic voice spoke in both the hybrid’s and goat’s minds, emphasizing the need for strategy and to be more practical. Throwing her head back, Tulip began laughing loudly, before lifting the huge sword off her back and tossing it to one side. Raising her injured arm, she shook the hand to remove the spasming from it and made a fist. A savage grin crossed the woman’s face, as she muttered. “The Silver Slayer sounded so much more powerful than me, I felt like I needed to lead with my strongest to see how I compared. Apparently, it wasn’t nearly enough. But, give me a chance to improve that. Throw up your dukes; it’s time for a classic brawl.” Thrusting both hands outwards, twelve ki blades appeared, which the woman tossed up into the air. All spiraled up into the air above the trio, before slamming into the ground in various areas. Four exploded upon contacting the earth, sending up a cloud of dust around the goat and sword. Smashing her feet firmly into the ground, Tulip dispersed the blade of ki into nothing and shot forward, moving as fast as she could. She sprinted past the goat and sword, before stepping against a blade she had buried in the earth and using it to stop instantly. Whirling to face the demon and Chai team, she made a motion as if to punch them in the back, before launching herself up into the air. A single, gleaming blade materialized in the air in front of Chai, which the woman slammed her feet into as she braced herself and prepared to dive down and strike the sword and goat from above.

SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
'Ohhhhhh noooooooo.' Guardia spoke in a flat tone when Tulip threw up her head and began laughing pretty darn maniacally, with his voice now only audible to Chai alone. Glancing around with his lower eyelid curled up, Guardia turned to Chai in the midst of Tulip's questionable laughing fit. 'Chai, I thiiiink we might have broke her.' Guardia spoke to only Chai in a somewhat concerned and worried tone that sported more of flat confusion and shock than anything else. The goat from another world gave a quick nod of agreement to his partner, looking up to Tulip in silent concern as she grabbed the sword from her back. Maniacal laughter was never a good sign. Part of Chai began to regret telling her his big secret with this worrying event's occurrence... Her arm seemed hurt from Guardia's rainbow crescent of ki as well. Good for them!
Taking a few steps back while swet dripped down his face, Chai grit his teeth, newfound determination surging through his veins when a savage grin flashed across Tulip's face. Tightening his grip on Guardia's blade, Guardia could easily feel Chai's uncertainty and unease. Sighing telepathically, he increased his energy output on his blade, but didn't charge up another attack yet. He had to conserve his energy and wait for an opening, much like he just told Tulip to- Guardia too had to practice what he preached. If it weren't for Chai's sensitive ears, the goat would barely be able to hear what she said. Still, he was juuuust able to make out what she muttered. Something about the Silver Slayer being stronger and a classic brawl? Chai glanced off to the side, trying to put the puzzle pieces together.
In the midst of his thoughts, Chai would be caught by surprise when a barrage of blades fell from the sky, causing the white snow below to fly up and surround the area in a thick fog. Glancing around while gripping Guardia in one hand, Chai would look down to the blade, who glanced around with a narrowed eye, trying to spot where the hybrid was. Chai quickly flipped on his sixth sense- the ability to sense ki, but managed to pick up Tulip. Turnign around when she seemed to be trying to punch her back, Chai watched as her fist stopped a fraction from his stomach when he twirled around to face her. Odd. The female jumped into the air, but Chai's gaze and senses would follow her the entire way. Was she trying to give herself away? This a rather questionable plan to a stealth attack... Fool Chai one- he's mad.
Fool Chai and Guardia twice- how could you? Straightening his defesnive stance while more flecks of rainbow ki fell to his form and began to solidify into prismatic crystals, Chai put his other paw on Guardia's hilt, now having a good lock onto Tulip's ki signature. One punch wasn't enough to knock the goat out yet! Watching as a blade materialized in front of him, Chai raised Guardia's blade in the way when she attempted to ram him from above with the blade to block it.
"You're too predictable, Tulip." Chai spoke in a flat tone, narrowing his eyes as a frown crossed his face. "...What's gotten into you?" He questioned. The laughing fit, the smile, the little ramble about the Silver Slayer- it was all an unsettling combination that came out of nowhere! 'You're doin' us a concern, hybrid!' Guardia spoke, curling his lower eyelid up. Sighing, Chai lowered his blade, looking up to the hybrid. What was going on in her head? Not wanting her to meet the same fate as her counterpart from his world, Chai would look up to her, a pleading look in his eyes. "Look. Case in point, you're acting weird. How about we call off the fight before we loose our marbles?" Chai suggested with a meek smile. He kept charging his Prismatic Armor juuuust in case, though. Making no move to attack, Chai would continue to stare up at the woman after blocking her attack.

As her fist slammed into his guard, Tulip’s heart sank. Is...this the limit of my strength She pushed off his blade, launching herself backwards and hopping further to gain distance. She looked at the Goat, realizing that he was charging a technique. The demon blade is already at full strength; the goat has something planned. This isn’t fair. Bringing another universe’ worth of battle experience to this one, and bringing tales of a powerful individual that I couldn’t hope to reach. Well, it might be time to give up. “You’re too predictable, Tulip. What’s gotten into you?” Tulip’s blood froze as she heard this statement. The combination of his empty tone and expression filled with disdain made the woman’s heart skip a beat. Don’t look at me like that! ‘You’re doin’ us a concern, hybrid!’ When the demon blade chimed in, eyes curling in disgust. Don’t look at me like that! “Look. Case in point, you’re acting weird. How about we call off the fight before we lose our marbles?” The look of pity that filled Chai’s face made the woman’s blood freeze. From his meek smile, to pitying gaze, made the woman’s heart almost stop. The icing on the cake was the ki that still gathered around the goat-man. This was going to be a fun spar. Come blood, pain, or injury, we would fight till the bitter end and laugh about it afterwards. I won’t settle for this! Dammit! A slow smile crossed the woman’s face and her gaze fell, as she reached up to the top of her tanktop. A small knife formed from her ki, which she made one downwards slash with. This motion cut through the tank-top and bandages underneath, revealing a black band. Reaching for it, the young woman began undoing snaps one by one. When the band finally came undone, the woman caught it with one hand. Her jacket fell down as she pulled her hand out, covering up her now-bare chest. Dropping the black band onto the earth, it audibly shattered the earth and sent a plume of dirt into the air. The woman looked directly at the goat and sword, smile gone and only a look of seriousness on her face. “How about round two before anything else, Chai. I won’t stand for your pity. Tell me, am I closer to the strength of those monsters from your world? Do I compare to my evil self, as you so eloquently put it?” Her ki began spiking, as dirt and snow began rising in the air around the woman. Her hair began slowly rising as her jacket billowed outwards. Her lack of clothing forgotten, the only thing that existed for this woman currently was the two offenders standing in front of her. She stepped forward, ground breaking underfoot as she slowly closed the distance between the duo from another world. Let’s see your bravado now, fighters from another universe!

SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
That same weird smile crossed Tulip's face after the pacifistic goat's plea. Narrowing his eyes and raising a furry white brow, the goat wasn't sure how to process her reaction thus far. The hybrid reached to the top of her tank top, and... cut it?? Was she... undressing?? In front of Chai?? The goat's face twisted and reddened in confusion, while Guardia didn't falter, narrowing his eye in hostility. Their plea had failed- the fight with this strange woman was still on!
Raising a paw to cover his closed eyes while Tulip continued to undress, Guardia just rolled his eye. Chai wasn't cut out to be a warrior at heart. He should have been a normal kid- but their world forcefully molded him into this. At heart, Guardia knew the goat wanted peace and love. A cheesy motive, but a benevolent one nonetheless. And Guardia would support the goat through and through if that was what he wanted. Chai continued to cover his eyes while the somewhat naked woman spoke. "C--...can I look now?" The goat questioned in shaky tone. He didn't want to see her no-no parts, and wasn't taking any risk. 'Godammit Chai, her jacket is covering it. Stop being so moral and focus on the fight!!' Guardia barked, causing the goat to slowly lower his paw.
Listening to the female speak, her ominous tone was dead serious, sending a chill down the goat's spine. Did she compare to the evil overlords of his universe...? "I'd hate to break it to you, but not yet. You have the potential to, however!" Chai spoke with a meek smile, hoping to give his "friend" some hope. Sighing, he looked down at his hands and spoke in a glum tune. "...No one could stand up to them. Not me. Not Toma. Not even a Super Saiyan Two like Kaula." His tone shook as images flashed in his mind. Bing one-shotting Collan, watching hopelessly as his eye was torn out, watching, watching, watching. Just watching. Not acting. Wiping a single tear from his cheek, Chai could still feel the boulder of his comrades' hopes on his neck. They were all counting on him for escape. And he failed. He failed to give them the freedom they desired, and selfishly took it for himself. He failed to give them hope. He failed to overthrow Bing. He failed them all. Sighing, Chai looked down to the ground, a look of hopeless despair in his exposed eyes. Shaking it off, he brought his attention back to the fight when Guardia poked his partner with his hilt. "So you still wish to fight? So be it." Chai spoke, determination returning. If she wanted to fight and throw away his mercy, then oh well. Her strength was greater than Chai and Guardia's powers combined, and it would take great planning and effort to surmount.
Chai doubted his ability to overcome this, but he had fought stronger and lived. This was just a spar after all! Dashing through the smoke, Chai would throw Guardia forwards as the sword began to charge an attack. The sword corkscrewed around the skies before circling Tulip and aiming to slice her from the back! Whether it succeeded or failed, Chai would hop and land right behind Tulip and next to Guardia, picking up the blade once more, Hopping up and aiming to kick her with both of his legs to put some distance between them, Chai would narrow his eyes while continuing to charge his barrier and a powerful attack in Guardia's blade...

Tulip could only watch in silence as the goatman confirmed her greatest fears; in the other universe, her own shadow was more powerful than her. She watched the emotions cross his face, a mixture of anger, sorrow, and guilt. A tear formed in the goat’s only eye, which he wiped away with a display of pain. When his eyes fell back on the woman, she could already sense the cold, determination of a true fighter in their cold, soulless depths. “So you still wish to fight? So be it.” His cold tone sent shivers through the woman. She could sense his ki still building and his sword was also changing in ki. There was a clear shift in the air; this was no longer a battle between two friendly opponents, but a bitter feud between a monster with a thirst for battle and a duo who had seen far too much death to ever enjoy such a thing again. Or maybe that’s just how I envision it. Sliding her feet apart, raising one hand above her shoulder, and thrusting one palm forward, the woman grinned savagely. A faint blush formed on her cheeks, as she began sensing her own heart throbbing fiercely. This is how a battle should feel; two souls, honing their edge against one another in melee. The goat suddenly darted forward, disappearing into the smoke caused by the collision of Tulip and the sword’s attacks. When the goat emerged, the woman’s eyes widened in shock. Where’s the sword!? A sudden, shift in ki made the woman’s eyes narrow, as a shadow passed overhead. Her ki suddenly exploded outwards, focusing in the air behind her. The huge sword from before materialized in her grasp, completely covering the woman’s back. She could feel the blade impact the flat edge of her sword, as Guardia attempted to slash her back / She slammed the blade into the earth, as Chai spun overhead and landed behind her. She angled the blade by leaning forward, reacting as Chai’s feet slammed into her blade. As the weight left her blade, the woman yanked her blade free of the ground. Releasing her grip on the sword, the woman spun and caught the blade in her other hand. Hefting the huge, cumbersome blade, the woman thrust it forward with all of her strength towards Chai. “Let’s see the strength of another world!”

SHARP WITS AND SHARPER SWORDS
Chai and Guardia's combined attack was blocked by a blade forming on Tulip's back. This whole "infinite blades" shtick was getting quite annoying to Guardia. The only true way to use a blade was the way he and Chai did! Bond with a single weapon and use it to your best abilities- that was the way of the sword! There was only one sword for Chai and one partner for Guardia in any reality. But now with their combined strength being put to a great test, could their powers prevail over a much stronger foe? Chai knew he didn't exactly have the best of luck against stronger foes, but that never stopped him from trying before! With just him and Guardia around with nobody else to try and be a hero, a weight was lifted from the goat's shoulders.
Tulip raised her giant blade high, earning a glance of apprehension fron the goat. Letting out a sharp bleat when she chucked it at him and proclaimed about his strength from another world, Chai let himself fall back against the snowy floor. The blade flew right over the goat, but managed to nick off a little of his fur as it spun towards him. Sighing in relief when the blade had passed, the goat hopped back to his feet with Guardia in his hands.
The ki flaring around the goat had reached an absolute peak. Trees shook like jelly and some cracks formed across the icy lake in the wake of Chai's charging barrier. Inhaling slowly, the goat released his ki in all directions with a yell, only for the particles of ki to fly back and latch onto the goat's body. With one final pulse of energy, Chai now donned a powerful armor of crystallized Ki! If Tulip wanted to harm the goat, she would have to break through that dense barrier first. Guardia continued to charge a powerful blast of ki, narrowing his eye at Tulip. For a moment, he could have sworn he saw the Silver Slayer in her place.
'So, what's the game plan now, Chai?' Guardia turned his head, looking at the armored goat. 'I'm surprised she let ya charge that thing fully... But with her power, we'd best be careful.' Chai nodded, speaking telepathically to his blade alone once more. 'Well, I am your shield, after all. We need you to charge that attack enough to finish her!' Guardia's blade moved up and down in a nod before the two focused back onto Tulip. Chai had to keep his distance for now so Guardia could charge his attack, and possibly wind Tulip enough so it could actually land when it was charged. There were a lot of things to take care of the ensure victory, even though Chai doubted his ability to win this fight. Remaining silent, the goat would stand firm on the ground, eyes and senses locked onto Tulip. She wouldn't be making any funny moves under the warrior's careful watch...

Tulip could only watch in shock as the snow on the ground exploded upwards around her enemy as cracks shot outwards across the ground. Ice shifted in the lake with a grumbling roar as the force of Chai’s ki shattered the thick layer. Trees and shrubs around the goat were reduced to nothing by the grating force of Chai’s gathered energy. I sorely underestimated the sheer potential of this guy. His tenacity and determination let him get this far. Now...what is his next move? She winced as the goat shouted loudly, voice echoing across the wasteland. His ki shot outwards, making the woman wince and guard reflexively. When the smoke cleared, Tulip gazed at the goat in shock. He was garmented in armor made of brilliant ki. His demonic blade was only growing in strength as the woman stood in shock. His eye visibly narrowed as Tulip took a deep breath and sighed in shock. “That’s impressive as all hell. Let’s see if I can even scratch it.” Raising her hand, a small tanto appeared. It’s size belied the amount of ki it contained, ground visibly cracking next to the hybrid as she switched the grip to an underhanded one. Dropping forward into a crouch, the woman licked her lips. It was practically time. Shifting the ki in her knife so it would almost mirror her own, she let her free hand slip into her back pocket. Stepping off with her strength, Tulip covered the ground between the two in an instant. As her blade shot upwards, the woman’s other hand came forward. If Chai’s gaze shot to her other hand, he would notice a tiny, silver capsule nestled in her fist. Hitting the release, a pile of clothes exploded into the air between the two. Bras, panties, tank-tops, and shorts all filled the air between the two, as Tulip’s ki shifted behind Chai. To someone using ki-sensing, it would appear like Tulip had suddenly split into two. Both sides began charging, ki suddenly building rapidly. If the distraction had failed, Chai would see her tanto buried at his feet, sparking with silver ki. The woman had stepped to one side and spun to capture his back, fist lowered and charging. Her face was twisted into a savage grin, one born from a love of the thrill pumping through her veins.
