"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?"
Rebecca had spent the last couple of days circling around the Konatsian planet, trying to find a certain buddy of hers. A certain Konatsian by the name of Fried Nietzo, a magic oriented being who she had fun with a while back. Although she and him have not met for the longest of times, that little weirdo was the little red riding droid's friend and he was missing. There were two options that plagued her mind, one of which she was not going to even think of as that would put her at a standoff with Dr. Breech and his cohorts, cause there was no way they'd kill Fried without her knowing. That meant that there was a second option, one in which he had left the planet for some kami damned reason.
Travelling around the planet, keeping her eyes peeled for his particular wavelength of a ki signature, she was sorely disappointed in how she could not even find hide nor hair of him. The more she searched, the more she was inclined to believe that he left the planet recently. And another thing that she was noticed while flying across this magic planet was another odd detail, a detail which on its own was not so suspicious, but compiled with Fried's disappearance made a little bit more sense.
She had noticed that the people from Earth had disappeared. Cipher, Aina, and Techubitch. Those three were here a while back in order to check on the situation since the mad king, EX-mad king to be more precise, went to Earth and raised one hell of a ruckus. Thoughs he had no details about that situation at all, she could only assume he did something quite bad to warrant people to visit Konats. And their disappearance from Konats along with Fried made her think one small thing...
"THOSE SMARMY FREAKS TOOK FRIEDO!"
It was really the only answer she had as Fried did not seem the type to leave his home planet, as evidenced by the way he talked about the people whom he reported back to about his magic stuff. I mean, to Rebecca, there was no reason as to why he would leave his own home planet of his own volition. She might have understood if he had origins like her, in which she had nowhere to really call home, BUT Fried did have somewhere he already belonged.
Feeling rather pissed, she felt like she needed to do something on the side. A little thing that she needed to do as it was getting that time of the year, the time of gifting things to those that they consider friends. What did they call it back on Earth? Friezasmas? Feliz Kamidad? Eh, she couldn't bother, as everyone named it Present Day!
And because it was going to be present day, Rebecca at least wanted to get her friend a present. I mean, she could make something for Contagion, Breech, Zyajin, or, KAMI FORBID HER, SR-81 wherever the fuck that piece of scrap is. Yet, at the same time, she knew she would not get a present back from any one of them, and they were also the types who might not even celebrate such an event because of how serious they all were. Katsu might have, but reports have said that he had died somewhere, which was a little saddening.
Moving on from that semi-depressing thought, she started thinking of a little idea of how she could make a present for him for whenever he returns or the next time she met him. Heading off to the Kashvar Fortress, Rebecca decided to sneak into the room that Dr. Breech converted into his personal laboratory. Entering the place, she spotted that Breech left his computer on. Probably in the middle of some important update or download, but this was a one in a lifetime opportunity for her. Pulling on her own finger, she unleashes a small USB port inside of it, in which she skimmed the outside of the giant computer and hooked herself up to the mainframe.
With little inclination, she twitched one of her other fingers, directing a little machine around. She recognized one of them from when she was made by those shmucks at Lab Cero, it was a machine they used on a daily basis in order to create robots, yet none of them were able to precisely create one. A thought came across her mind... Well, a couple things. But first, she delved her digital AI self into Breech's mainframe, just long enough to grab some really juicy information that would prove useful. Grabbing the schematics that Breechers uses whenever making a robot or android or whatever. I mean, having the ability to create a robot is fine and all, right?
However, the instant she returned back to her shell of a body, a loud noise was permeating the room, like an alarm blaring throughout the roo- ah shit. Her eyes flickering back to their usual white light, she noticed that the room was entirely locked down! Well, blame Rebecca for thinking that she can enter a room owned by an old fart who loved his privacy a little too much. An old fart who, to be more precise, loves to make robots and has a secret shady life in which he is not as clean as he wants to come off as.
All the doors were shut, except for one which lead outside. Rebecca unhooked herself from the little USB port of Breech's computer, and started walking towards it. As he made it there, however, a severe force slammed into her, punching her right out of the room and through a wall. Flying through the air, Rebecca finally touched the ground and crashed into a rock. Pulling herself out, she started trying to scan the area as she could not see what had hit her. She was able to get an artificial ki signature, but she could not see a form.
"WAS THAT OLD MAN FIDDLING WITH A STEALTH DRIVE OR SOME SH-"
Her mouth was instantly silenced as she felt the full force of a metallic first slam right into her gabber. Being sent back a bit, she looked up at the invisible force in front of her. The shape of the artificial ki her retina-based scouter was picking up was definitely one similar to the Cycloids Breech was ever so fond of. And it seemed to be on auto-pilot, which meant that it was attacking the intruder inside the room, meaning Rebecca was gonna need to scrap this hunk of junk.
"Well sorry doc, but this thing needs to be put down harder than Old Space Yeller!"
Grasping onto her rapier, she lifted it out of its slot and aimed it at the invisible robot. Smiling rather smugly, she declared,
"SCARLET GLEAM!........................................................"
...
...
...
...
...
...
And nothing happened. Rebecca knew she was not malfunctioning, I mean she could fly quite easily and she knew she was not broken, as evidenced by the fact that her self-diagnostic reports were coming up positive with no failures within her. Trying to manifest ki, she was able to notice something quite odd. She was unable to manifest any physical ki in the slightest. And yet she knee she could do something about it.
Getting a little angry, she flailed her arm around as she tried to shoot her scarlet gleam. Once her rapier was pointed away from the prototype droid, a red beam darted from the tip of the sword up into the atmosphere. Blinking a couple times, she quickly decided to test it as the Invisible Cycloid was stalling. Pointing her rapier at the sky and a hand at the invisibot, she tried shooting ki blasts at it and away from it. And to her surprise, or more like proving her theory correct, she was unable to manifest ki in the direction of this creature.
It was nullifying the usage of physical ki. That was gonna be difficult. Just as she thought that, she saw the movements of its ki approaching her rather steadily, and anything she does would be meaningless as she can't see the exact weak points of this bot. Lifting up her rapier, she caught the fist of this cycloid as it started muttering gobbledygook. Apparently Breech didn't fit this thing with any sort of speech. Probably a good thing, as SR-81 was annoying enough as is.
Pushing back against the cycloid, an idea started building up in her mind in how she was going to take this thing down. If she can't send her energy at it directly, how about indirectly. Pushing her processors a little, she started relaying Ki to a far away location. In the atmosphere. Building up a sphere of ki that she would send down at any moment. All the while, Rebecca had to hold her hands together in order to send up the ki up there, having to endure the couple of cheap attacks the invisible robot dealt against her.
Being sent careening through a boulder with a single punch, punched into the ground, even punted back a good hundred feet! Rebecca had to endure it all as she was getting more and more agitated, needing to build up enough energy to send her attack down at the invisible creature. Almost on the verge of just giving up, she felt that she hit the maximum amount of power. Just in time too, as the cycloid was approaching her once more, ready to slam Rebecca into the ground once more. Smirking to herself, she thought of the worst one liners possible, mixing them up a little bit.
"This is what happens when you wish... upon... a... STARSTOOOOOOOOORM!"
Pulling her hands apart and moving a finger downward, the ki formation in the atmosphere shooting down to the ground toward Rebecca and, more specifically, the cycloid in front of her. She stood there with her finger pointed downward, just as the cycloid was just a couple feet from her, its arm whizzing through the air towards the head of Rebecca, its ki nullification drive not going into effect due to the ki being manifested far from its origin point. Thus, the prototype was completely caught off guard when Rebecca's surprise ki blast seared a hole through the torso of the cycloid, damaging its invisibility drive and, more importantly, its motor connections. The instant the blast went through the body of the large invisible cycloid, its fate was sealed as it became unable to move from that point on.
Although considering on destroying the thing for the trouble it caused her, she decided a good gift to the doctor was to turn the other cheek and let whatever remained stay intact, lest she bring upon the wrath of the good doctor upon her.
Returning back to the lab, she reconnected herself to the computer in order to use the terminal as she had two ideas in mind. The first being to use the schematics and designs of Breech and put them into action! Using the mechanical arms and drills and other techy bits, she started amassing a small robot. Nothing too technical, as she was aiming to start small, something she recognized in a little television show she caught on the intergalactic signals.
Spending well over a couple hours, it finally was done. It was a little robot that lay still on the operating table, wearing an odd little dress, and in the form of a bird. Rebecca knew it did not have an AI, nor did not have any components to use its own Artificial or Virtual intelligence. Instead, she had decided upon a different way in controlling the little bugger she names Carmine. Using a private connection between her own self and a receiver inside the bird, she would be able to control it. Testing it out, she started to imagine controlling the little thing, just imagining it as an extension as herself as she wanted to put it in her pocket.

And acting accordingly, the little red bird both made its way into the pocket of Rebecca. Chuckling heartily to herself, she was quite proud of her creation, despite how weak, small, and minuscule it was. I mean, compared to the cycloids, Rebecca had to admit that her little creations had no signs of longevity and severity, but it was a thing of her own design. Plus, creating those allowed her to get a little bit of an upgrade as a new function of hers was unlocked, one which was so useful in creating such colorful clothing for her little Carmine.
Holding her palms flat to the broken walls, she started to create ki beams the started to run up and down the edges, circling around the broken rims as the beams started to get smaller... As she was building a new wall out of energy. She was quite literally becoming a 3D printer with her little bit of upgrade, which was actually one of the most useful things she would ever admit those pervs back at Lab Cero ever allowed to go through in her designs.
Patching up the holes, she delved into the computer once more as she started making something much simpler than the little Carmine bird she just made. Hell, she even got a store bought scouter that Breech kept in his trunk for some reason, and a little radio, and started wiring them together in a fit of creative glory.
After spending yet another hour on the little thing, she came up with a little disc that looked like a UFO. Smiling as she looked at it, she unhooked herself from Breech's computer for the final time, she strolled her way on over to the little thing. There were three buttons... Call, Hang Up, and Radio. Since she didn't have anyone to call using such a thing, she pressed the radio button, which started up a holographic image of a bunch of brenchians singing Jingle Bell Rock the Dragon. An odd take on a certain Presents Day song, but she won't judge it as each person has their own preference. Pressing the radio button again to turn it off, RED just decided that she didn't want to listen to some off-key brenchians sing holiday songs.
As she pressed the button, she took it with her as she left Breech's room as silently as possible, making her way back to her own quarters.
Making her way back to her room, she lay down on her bed and started resting... Or at least emulating it as she really had no need for such a thing, but was a good way to skip time in a sense. Setting herself to wake up to sudden disturbances or after ten hours, she shut herself down, with her new creation on the side of her table, open to whatever Presents Day magic that will occur which would replace it with someone else's creation. What it was, she wouldn't know; but the receiver of her gift would have a holographic communicator/radio combo. Not everyone can be as privileged to have such a thing.
