The breeze stirred the branches of the jungle, creating a nice, relaxed atmosphere to Rafar's contemplation. The warrior sat near the top of one of the jungle's gigantic coniferous trees, allowing the peace of the scene to simply flow through him. This wasn't a type of training he was used to, but apparently it was essential to learn the basics of ki control, or so he had learned from the books he had found. Plus, something about the simple fact of releasing one's cares strangely felt right to the warrior, like it was an old friend he had always known. Maybe this is what he needed to tame the beast within, instead of intense training. His scouter beeped, interrupting his focus. Sighing, Rafar followed the scouter's indications, till the reticule pointed at the forest floor. Cupping his hands around his mouth, he would shout "HEY! IS ANYONE THERE?"

Heavy Weights Equipped; Restrained PL - 13362

After dropping her ki to almost the minimum, Tulip was focusing on creating blades and hunting fish. She wouldn’t kill them, merely staggering them with well-placed throws of her suppressed ki blades. After practicing further with the ki-blades, the woman had discovered that it was possible to change the effect of what the blades did upon striking. For now, she was merely focusing on maintaining the shape and consistency of the dull throwing blades. When chucked with all of her strength, the ki-blades had enough force to level a section of the forest simply through speed. The hybrid had done that all of once on accident, before realizing that her actions were as bad, if not worse, than the kiddo when he was attempting to master the Bamboo-Slicing Fist. Materializing a new knife, the woman brought her arm back to throw it. “HEY! IS ANYONE THERE!” A sudden shout made the woman almost drop the knife, before it exploded in her face due to her sudden lack of focus. Coughing and struggling to clear the dust that had been kicked up, the woman tripped backwards into the stream. Pushing herself into a sitting position, the woman looked up into the sky. An irritated look filled her face, as the hybrid finally noticed the mediocre Ki signature hanging in the air far above them. With a sigh, the woman narrowed her focus and flew upwards, stopping a hundred meters from the man. Putting her hands on her hips, the woman raised her eyebrows and glared at the Saiyan warrior with her emerald eyes. “What does an elite saiyan want with such a lowly woman?” Water was still dripping from the woman’s soaked clothes, as she waited for this Saiyan Warrior’s response.

Rafar looked on, amused as he saw the female Sayian fall into the river. Graceful this one. His dark eyes would follow Tulip as she flew up the tree. Uncrossing his legs, he would push himself off the branch, falling a few feet before he began to levitate, getting on eye level with the woman. "I wouldn't call myself and elite really, even if I used that outdated classification system. From what I've seen on this blue marble, your power level at birth means nothing." It was a strange statement for a armor clad Sayian to make, but it was true. His powers had increased exponentially since his pod first contacted the ground of Earth, he barely knew himself from that untried boy. He scratched the back of his head, "Sorry to startle you, guess I'm getting a little jumpy nowadays." Rafar's eyes darted to his scouter, than back to the newcomer's face. "You might as well release your suppression, I know your not that weak if you can fly." He knew he was playing with fire here, if the woman was truly that weak, but he doubted his words were wrong. Too many of Earth's ki users were stronger than a measly 10 for this to be the woman's true power. Real curiosity showed through his voice, "How do you people even do that? I could never figure out how to suppress my ki."

The woman began wringing the water from her jacket, revealing the soaked tank-top she wore and the bandages beneath covering her chest. Her eyebrows raised in disbelief as the Saiyan wrote off Ki levels as an outdated classification. He then scratched the back of his head and apologized for startling the woman. Yeah, that was irritating. Didn’t notice you flying up on me, and the shout just added to the shock. He then glanced at the electronic eyepiece he wore. With a weary sigh, he spoke firmly. “You might as well release your suppression, I know you’re not that weak if you can fly.” Astute observation, buster. She began feeling out his strength, noting that it was being restrained by something he wore. Much like my own, actually. “How do you people even do that? I could never figure out how to suppress my ki.” Tulip sighed, before releasing the seal on her ki. It shot up to its restrained level, almost double his own current level. Her hair waved slightly, as the woman finished flicking out her shirt and slid it back on. Looking back at the warrior, she smiled and spoke. “Hard work, discipline, and lots of practical training got me to this point. I’m actually trying to figure out a new technique. So…” The woman’s ki notably shifted, reaching just above the man’s current strength, as a small smile crossed her face. “...what say we have a little practical training right now?”

Rafar raised his eyebrows, unimpressed by the woman's attempt at intimidation. Her 13362 was not that much of a threat, though it could pose problems if she was wearing weights like he was. Her power eventually settled at a nice 7,000. Cheeky, why do people with ki suppression always do these things. "Hard work? Humph, your training was probably based on trying to hide from someone wasn't it? If you really wanted to protect yourself, you'd practice fighting." Rafar continued to listen as the warrior proposed a duel between the two of them, sliding her shirt back on. "Sounds good. I see you have a sword, would you prefer a sword fight or a brawl, either one is fine." Tensing, he reached a hand over his shoulder, grabbing the cloth bound hilt of his blade, pulling it from it's scabbard. The sword glowed with an internal light, and if she so wished, Tulip could probably sense a small ki signature emanating from the weapon. Rafar would lift his sword, pointing it directly at the woman. "And so it begins."
Blurring, he shot forward at max speed, he would feinted a sword swipe at her face, before attempting a heavy kick to the woman's midsection where he had noticed bandages earlier. It was a cheap strategy, but an effective one, getting kicked in a wound never felt terribly good. Regardless of his ploy's success, he would stick his free hand forward, firing a swarm of ki blasts at his foe to try and keep her on her toes.

The Saiyan warrior merely hovered and watched the woman as she offered the duel. He raised his eyes in an unimpressed manner. “Sounds good. I see you have a sword. Would you prefer a sword fight or a brawl? Either one is fine.” Reaching one hand up, the man firmly grasped the handle of the sword strapped to his back. Sliding the longsword from its sheath, the man held it out and pointed the tip towards the woman. A small smirk crossed his lips, as a faint ki signature emanated from the blade. Tulip didn’t shift, as the man spoke softly but firmly. “And so it begins.”
The man almost vanished as he shot forward. Bringing the sword up to his shoulder, he swung a powerful strike at the woman’s face. Tulip’s gaze narrowed, as two swords materialized, with the intent of blocking the slash. As she waited for the impact, her eyes widened in shock upon the realization the attack had been a feint. Her eyes shot downwards, catching the motion of the warrior and the raising of his leg. When his foot buried itself between her slight breasts, the woman focused her ki to reduce the impact. As it was, the kick sent her flying backwards as the woman released her control of flight. As she fell backwards and downwards, her gaze remained on the warrior. Her two blades vanished in a flash of silver ki as the Saiyan warrior thrust one palm towards her. He began firing a barrage of ki blasts in her direction. Narrowing her gaze, the woman focused her mind and thrust both of her hands outwards. Two silver knives materialized in her grip, before the woman fanned the knives outwards, revealing she was holding more than twenty in both hands. Flicking both hands outwards in a nigh-invisible motion, the woman fired all the blades outwards. As each knife slammed into an orb of ki, it would vanish in an explosion of ki. Finally reaching the ground, the woman landed hard enough in the river to send the water exploding upwards in a blast of water and muddy earth. If Rafar was watching closely, he would see the woman as she shot out of the watery mess, sprinting towards the open clearing less than 200 meters away. Thrusting one hand outwards, Tulip caught a large silver claymore that formed from her ki in her palm and rested the flat of the blade against her back as she aimed for the optimum point. The sword was almost as tall as the woman, and the young hybrid visibly struggled to heft the huge weapon with just one arm. Her emerald gaze shot back over her shoulder, looking at the Saiyan warrior who was hovering in the air hundreds of feet above. There was a challenge in that gaze, a weary enthusiasm that screamed ‘Is that all you have?'

Rafar grinned as his kick connected, his heart beating in savage joy as the thrill of battle descended once again upon him. Although some parties called Rafar an unlikely Sayian, a reserved warrior, he felt the same emotions in response to battle as the rest if his kind. He was just better at hiding the battle madness, and the FURY! His barrage of red ki blasts winged their way towards the falling human, only to be countered by a barrage of near-invisible objects, which detonated the blasts instantly. Rafar barely caught a glimpse of the attack, but it appeared to be…knives?! He was impresse, just using one weapon made entirely out of ki was hard enough, making multiple and throwing them at the same time was truly a sight to behold!
The woman’s impact against the river nearly toppled a couple of the surrounding trees with it’s force, sending a plume of water and dirt high into the air. Rafar’s battle trained eyes spotted a flicker of movement near the edge of the geyser, though he couldn’t be sure it was truly his opponent. His scouter helpfully confirmed his suspicion by directing his attention to a small clearing 200 meters west of the impact site. The woman was hefting a rather large sword, giving him a rather provocative look. So that’s the way it’s going to be then? Fine. Hefting his blade, Rafar dropped into the treetops, jumping from tree to tree like some kind of insane ape. Appearing behind Tulip, he would attempt to stab her through the shoulder, then follow it up with a powerful kiai!

Her emerald gaze returned to the opening further in the forest, where she intended to make the final stand for their little spar. She could detect his ki shifting, and could hear the rustling of branches and leaves far above. As her foot entered the sunlight on the edge of the clearing, Tulip’s aura flared up. The ground cracked, as the woman’s eyes shot over her shoulder. She could sense Rafar’s energy building, as the warrior landed on the ground behind her and stabbed forward towards her shoulder. Diving forward, the woman released her grip on the huge sword. As she rolled onto her back, she looked up towards the young saiyan warrior, as he shouted loudly. The woman had been using the blade to hide herself from view and guard her back; as it began falling towards her, the woman punched the bottom of the huge sword, sending it towards Rafar with the intention of tripping him. Rolling up onto her feet, the young hybrid sprinted forward, letting the blade disperse into silver energy. Spinning to face the Saiyan warrior, Tulip flicked one hand downwards, summoning three ki blades. Sending one towards his face, one towards his stomach, and one towards his knee, the woman ensured all three blades maintained their form throughout their flight. He’s going to block every one or dodge them. But, it’ll give me time to set this up. Closing her eyes, a single longsword formed in the air in front of her. It fell into the earth, sparking as the energy began building between the woman and blade. She fell forwards, ending on her knees with one fist on the earth. That hand was starting to glow silver, as sparks shot between her hand and the blade. Her free hand landed on the sword, as sweat began running down the woman’s brow. The energy was starting to crack the ground at her feet, as the woman slowly rose to standing and ripped the sword free of the ground. The silver aura on her fist was growing in intensity, visibly sparking, as the woman began walking slowly forward. “Trying to stab a woman in the back...not very chivalrous, are we?”

Rafar's stab met nothing but air, soaring over Tulip's prone body to bury itself in a large oak. "Quick aren't you?" He then used the leverage of the sword to launch himself over the woman's attempted leg sweep, whipping the sword from the tree as he went. Fast and clever, this might be an interesting ally if this battle turns out favorably. He swung himself onto a large branch, mentally preparing himself for the next bout. He suspected she was going to try some sort of trick since she didn't seem like the type of fighter to keep the status quo.
Rafar was then forced to move rather quickly, as three ki knives rocketed out of the darkness towards his body! He managed to slice one of the knives in half by infusing his blade with a small amount of ki, but it was all he could do to dodge the remaining two knives. Despite the concentration it must require to keep the knives active and able to damage others, she still was able to begin charging an even stronger attack! "What's your name? I like to know the names of the fighters that I respect." Rafar opened his hand, and began to gather energy for a Impact Crasher! He wasn't going to bow out of this fight by allowing this fighter to charge her attack!

“The name is Tulip. No need to tell me yours; I’ll learn it once the battle’s done.” Tulip spoke firmly, voice carrying over the sound of energy crackling through the air. Digging her feet into the dirt, the woman stared out across at the warrior. He was gathering ki in his hand. What technique is he going to use? If it’s ranged, I won’t be able to counter in time and lose everything I’ve worked for up to this point. Time to make a choice: risk it all to continue charging, or press the advantage. If Rafar was watching the woman, he’d see the moment a savage grin split Tulip’s face. Her silver energy crackled outwards along her skin, as the woman muttered. “Trained Potential, activate.” Her energy suddenly spike upwards, as seven plumes of dust exploded into the air in front of Rafar. The woman had used her spike in ki and strength to close the distance, almost instantly landing in front of Rafar. Planting her feet into the ground, Tulip’s first move was to slam the flat of the blade forward into Rafar’s charging palm. Her silver coated fist soared forward, intent on slamming into his stomach. Sparks of silver danced through the air as the woman dug her feet into the ground which shattered behind her planted feet. Let’s see you charge through this!

"Confident aren't we? You make it sound like you are sure of your victory. Regardless it's nice to meet you" Rafar extended his right leg behind him, shifting the majority of his weight to his front foot. "I wouldn't be so sure, you're stronger than me sure, but strength isn't everything in a battle." He clenched his left hand into a tight fist around his sword, preparing for Tulip's inevitable assault. By the looks of it, Tulip was channeling all of her energy into the blade, which meant she was probably preparing to launch an energy wave from it. They were much too far apart for the attack to be a physical one, and she couldn't possibly close the distance between them before he was able to launch his blast!
But he was wrong.
Tulip's energy spiked, far beyond anything he could currently muster, at least in his weighted state. "So you were holding back! Impressive.." Rafar's eyes flickered desperately, trying in vain to keep track of the white comet that Tulip had become. Before he had time to draw two breaths, Tulip suddenly appeared before him, shining in the corona of her power! Shouting a Sayian battle cry, Rafar moved! He whipped his sword forward, pushing the pale blade just far enough away from his palm so that he had room to move. He winced as the sword scraped against his arm, slicing through his armor in places, but it couldn't be helped. Shooting his other hand forward, he counteracted the energy-encased punch with the small red sphere. The combined energy cracked, then broke.
Red and white lightning erupted from the Impact, and he threw an arm to shield his eyes from the intense light. Despite the light show, the impact didn't hurt all that much, most of the energy must counteracted itself. Blindly, Rafar attempted to kick Tulip in the chest, hopefully sending her crashing through the trees.

As Tulip’s fist shot forward, she felt her sword shift and her balance was disrupted. Her eyes shifted, glancing towards the hand that should’ve been blocked. The Saiyan Warrior had shown a sudden burst of speed beyond the woman’s understanding, shifting his blade over and knocking her sword far enough away for him shift his aim. A ball of energy shot forward, slamming into Tulip’s fist and creating an explosion of red and silver ki. The woman winced as the energy nicked her cheek. Was this bastard holding back? His ki didn’t shift; was he that good of a swordsman? He hid that from me since the beginning? Fuck this bullshit. Her aura began radiating further, as the woman dropped all pretenses, power surging to the full amount the woman possessed in her suppressed condition. A sudden foot slammed into her chest, barely shifting the woman’s position on the ground. One hand shot out, grasping the man’s foot firmly by the ankle. Lifting it up, only a imprint of dirt was left on the woman’s shirt. As the dust and debris sent up by their colliding attacks dispersed, the woman was revealed. Her shirt and jacket fluttered in the wind generated by her ki, as her hair’s spikiness became more notable as a result in the surge of ki. Using one hand, the woman spun, using her newly unveiled strength to heft the man overhead and attempt to slam him into the earth behind her. “Let’s see those skills; where’s the rest of those things more important in battle than strength!?” The woman’s voice carried an edge to it; she had intended for this to be a battle, a test of one strength versus another. This man had been hiding a talent with his sword from the beginning, which the woman wasn’t going to forgive. She had put everything on the table except her strength, in order to keep things fair. This sudden event made that all change in both the woman’s mind and heart. Hide anything from me, and I will break you!

As the smoke cleared, Rafar panted heavily, blood trickling down his arm. Tulip would see parts of the Sayian's armor scattered across the dew-laden grass, as Rafar had discarded his weights at the last possible moment, giving him the power and speed to intercept the twin strikes. Needless to say, the sudden increase in speed hadn't been very good for his wounded arm! "As I said, you're gonna have to try a lot harder if you want to beat me!"
His taunts seemed to have gone a little too far, driving Tulip into unleashing her full, unrestrained power right before his kick connected with her chest. Damn her, she could have at least given me a fair fight for just a little longer! Desperately, he tried to pull away, but his momentum over rid his attempts, and the strike carried through. Before he could boost away, his ankle was clutched in a vice-like grip, and he was slammed to the ground. Rafar shouted in pain as his leg nearly snapped like a twig under the immense forces working on it. In the middle of another whimper, Rafar would attempt to kick Tulip with his undamaged leg, hopefully buying him a little space. "I was referring to strength as a physical attribute, for your information. It doesn't matter if you have the strength to crack open stars, if you don't have the speed and skill to back it up it's useless." Stumbling to his feet, Rafar shifted most of his weight off his weakened left leg, retrieving his sword from where it had been knocked out of his hand. Gripping it tightly, he whipped it through the air, creating a slash of air that rockted towards Tulip. Weaving his sword in a complex pattern, he generated several of these air-slashes, testing Tulip's new power.

Tulip let the man’s leg slip from her grip as his boot slammed into her chest. The Saiyan warrior jumped backwards from the crater she had made using his body, landing next to the armor he had discarded. He started pushing himself up as he spoke. “I was referring to strength as a physical attribute, for your information. It doesn’t matter if you have the strength to crack open stars, if you don’t have the speed and skill to back it up it’s useless!” The Saiyan warrior finished stumbling to a standing position, favoring the leg that hadn’t been grabbed. He staggered over to his sword, before grasping the weapon firmly. A flash of light shot through his eyes, a glint of determination as he created a violent tempest of slashes. Ki ran down his blade, a glint of red, as slashes of air were fired towards the woman. “Nice attempt.” With a look of disapproval, Tulip raised one hand. Batting the slashes and destroying the air slashes with only flicks of her wrist, the last motion the woman made was creating a dagger of pure ki and launching it forward. It collided with the last of Rafar’s air slashes. It exploded on contact, sending a gust of dust and earth into the air. If Rafar noticed the shift in ki and pressure, he would realize that Tulip had started moving forward as her knife was thrown. When the blade exploded, she broke into a sprint, sliding through the dust and earth kicked up by the explosion. Sliding into view at his feet, the woman slid to a kneeling position and sent her fist into the pit of the man’s stomach. If successful, the blow would knock the breath from the man’s lungs. But, her back was left completely open due to her impudent move; a chance to capitalize on a mistake, if used properly.

Rafar’s face tightened as his leg continued to trouble him. Endless waves of hot pain washed through his body, making it hard to continue to generate slashes of pure air pressure. These were getting him close to nowhere, but they at least kept the woman at bay for a while so he could devise a new plan of engagement. The problem was, he couldn’t think of any. The woman was faster, stronger and made more skill at shaping ki, and seemed to be exceptionally skilled with blades. The only things that seemed to work on her was deception and surprise attacks, but it was impossible to get away without a distraction.
Rafar shielded his face from the sudden plume of dust that Tulip’s attack kicked up, smirking as his plan came into force. Tulip dashed forward, aiming to hit him with a sucker punch to the gut, but she would only feel empty air. Rafar leaped into the air, generating hundreds of small ki shards which tumbled to the Earth and generated a large cloud of concealing dust. The ki blasts also toppled several trees, which slowly toppled forward into the clearing. He glanced briefly at his handiwork, and then flew a mile or two to the west of his previous location. Settling down near the forest floor, he stretched out both of his arms to begin his Final Impact technique. If this couldn’t put Tulip nothing could.
