Gritting his teeth as a relieved smile worked up onto Tomoyo's face, the hybrid child felt satisfied to say the least. For a second there, he had almost thought that Levlidian would just shrug off his extending Overdrive Fist attack like it was nothing, but in a turn of events that surprised even Tomo himself, Lev was instead completely knocked off of his feet before he recovered a meter or so back. "Hah! *pant* Take that." Tomo coughed, more trying to fortify his own self esteem than mock the Saiyan.
...but that confidence would soon come right back down as it seemed like Levlidian just wouldn't stay down. Lifting himself back onto his feet hesitantly, the hybrid Human was instead met with the sight of not a downed Saiyan, but a rather angry one. Shielding his eyes with his hands as the sand began swirling erratically while the elder's vibrant scarlet ki flared like a roaring flame; Tomo gripped his fingers tighter in frustration while his small nails bit into the flesh of his palm. "Why wont he go down!? What's he even made of?" The exhausted half breed sobbed in his mind while his chest heaved for air, the way this battle was progressing Tomo was doing more damage to his body by trying to keep up than just getting hit by Lev!
Before Tomoyo could manage a second thought on the matter though, his time ran out as Levlidian finally rushed back towards him; this time he was more animistic, more ferocious, more Saiyan in his assault. "GRAAAAAH!!!" His scream tearing through the silent desert, Tomo tried his best to meet the flying punches with his own ferocity once more. His ki was spiking uncontrollably by now, more erratic, like Tomo was too focused on merely matching Lev's own blows to worry about maintaining his energy output. Unused to such prolonged combat of such intensity, yellow blasts of ki began accidentally erupting from the child's fists when they made contact with the beast of a Saiyan warrior; detonating on impact while possibly damaging not only Levlidian, but also Tomo. Tomoyo didn't know how long he could keep this up, he had to get this fight over otherwise he might exhaust himself to the point of being unable to fight any longer! Already the half Saiyan was slipping up multiple times in a row, several of Levlidian's attacks leaving a rather unsightly indent in his lower torso and left rib cage.
His back pressed against the sand while the force of each punch and kick drove him further into a crater in the ground, Tomo waited with bated breath for Levlidian to slow down for even a moment in his assault. If that moment came, Lev would find the hybrid child suddenly pushed off the ground by the force of his tail as Tomo's black and furry appendage burst from the back of his pants, tearing it's right sleeve fully down the back and splitting into 2 rounded strips. "HURAAAAGH!" Sticking out his fist, the child would aim to launch a charged punch right into the side of Lev's temple.

Short, precised eruptions of thunderous strikes sang out across the dunes, entwined in a one sided exchange were the pair of Saiyan's and the shorter of the duo seemed to be pushed back by the ferocity of the other. This was becoming a fools errand on Levlidian's part though the inner voices collaborating about his logical mind forced him on, even as his fists burrowed deep into the diaphragm of Tomoyo he just couldn't bring himself to halt the fight. With each landed strike came a thin strip of sand grains flurrying in a trajectory behind the boy who suffered beneath them; a representation of the restrained power behind them. It continued, veins coiled about the brow of the older man betrayed the effort he bestowed to restrain even this much and each of his limbs flexed the slender muscles they owned, still it burned, a vibrant array of blood red ki swerving like an inferno in wake of the advances.
"Fight harder, came his Father's voice, the singular obsidian orb fixed about Tomoyo intensified with anger in the notion handed unto him by a simple memory, as the beast drew himself back from the prone child he'd begin preparing to reach for him. Slipping his arms from the now ruined Gi, each reluctantly erupted blast through the fists of his opponent had left Lev's clothes in tatters. The care this man showed in the wake of this was close enough to zero however his skin hummed with the bare, scarlet brandishes of the damage he'd sustained. However, a counter attack had been negotiated from the depths of desperation, rising to extract the moment of all of the needed potential, Tomoyo re-summoned his power despite obvious betrayals of exhaustion and equal measure of damage.
Even then Levlidian could follow the motions with ease but did nothing to defend against it, closer and closer came that little fist and a dark grimace coveted the visage of his target. A monstrous, terrifying burst of sound filled the air as the attack struck the side of the elder Saiyan's temple snaring his head aside and drawing a single boot back. Sand rolled as though a worm burrowed between the heel and its solid surface, Lev's body contorted to absorb the shock and a steady trickle of blood courted his flesh from the split flesh. He'd barely moved and against those little knuckles came a resisting pressure whilst Tomoyo's opponent sought to force his head to turn against the pressure and to fix his obsidian eye upon him. The body soon followed, righting itself to shake off the fist whilst a hand arose to clasp angrily at his wrist, dragging it down Lev's lips bloomed into a snarl.
"That's enough of that," he muttered and let the boy's arm go, "You're getting too worked up, you're not focusing and from what i can see; you're hurting yourself as equally as you're hurting me," placing his now free forefinger and middle to the fresh wound and surveying the damage with his eyes. A steady flow of crimson straddled the length of the digits before both eyes shifted, white and black beneath a sunken, irritated brow. "Take everything you have, that undefined emotion and bury it in a fire deep inside yourself, deep within a void you see only when you sleep then come at me again,". Turning on his heel, the elder beast trecked four or five feet back before turning and awaiting just as he had asked with a sullen tone behind it.
"Hinawa taught me what I am teaching you, I refuse to defeat your self, it serves no purpose, not even my own," A sweep of wind wrapped itself about the freed top half of the mans Gi still tied unto his waist, the length below his sash and baggy pants ruffled equally in the wake of it. "Control yourself, then try again, unless you're too hurt to move, little Saiyan,"

He caught his punch.... despite the hit landing, despite Tomoyo even drawing blood as his enraged and erratic fist struck Levlidian's temple, the beast of a Saiyan warrior had shrugged off the blow that would have felled a dinosaur like it was relatively nothing before grasping his wrist. Dangling by his arm as Lev held the child up after his "successful" attack, Tomoyo yanked and pulled against the elder's grip trying to wrest his limb free of his antagonist's gasp. "GAH! LET ME GO!"
This anger was unlike what Tomoyo had ever felt before. It was almost like a raging fire had been lit in his stomach and Tomo could only diminish it through the heat of battle, through screaming as anger unlike any other raged in the child's heart. It was true that sometimes before he would get angry, that an inexplicable power laid deep down in the hybrid Saiyan sometimes emerged granting him the ability to do amazing feats... but never before on this scale, never on this level of emotion. There was no power boost, no spells of amnesia, no finale blow before he returned to the normal and lovable kid everyone was familiar with. ...this was pure rage, rage whose roots were wrung too deep to simply be vanquished in a single spell.
This rage was wholly and entirely Tomoyo's... and It scared him. He couldn't feel anything but anger, anything but pure unadulterated anger and this was scaring the child on the inside! "LET ME GO! I HATE YOU!" Screaming as his lungs vibrated with rage, tears leaked from the frighteningly enraged kid as the part of him he wished to never define him made him thirst for battle, made him want to dig his fist deep into Levlidian. ...and Levlidian knew it.
You're getting too worked up, you're not focusing and from what i can see; you're hurting yourself as equally as you're hurting me,
Falling back as the older Saiyan released his arm, Tomoyo could only watch and stare with practically every vein and temple in his body burning, pulsating. "I want to hit him, I want to hurt him, I want to beat him so he'll JUST GO AWAY!" Tomo told himself, justifying the rage he couldn't justify or explain... and yet despite this intense anger a conflicting emotion appeared as well... despair and sadness. Deep down the child was envious of the warrior, of being the perfect Saiyan, of being a powerful warrior who was the very pinnacle of the side of his heritage Tomoyo absolutely wanted no part of... yet envied all the same for he could not have even if he tried.
Control yourself, then try again, unless you're too hurt to move, little Saiyan
It was when Levlidian spoke these words though that it was like a cool breathe of air rushed down the child's spine. "...did he call me... a... Saiyan?" Eyes widening in horror, Tomoyo's gaze slowly went down to his knuckles. They were bruised, cut in numerous ends, and bleeding to no end; however, his own blood wasn't what worried him, but the fact that another's was there too. Levlidian's blood.
unless you're too hurt to move, little Saiyan
little Saiyan
"N-No... I don't want this." Horrified of his actions... of how far his anger against the older Saiyan had taken him beyond his tolerant and loving demeanor, Tomoyo unclenched his fist. "...I'm not a Saiyan." Tomoyo mumbled at first... unsure if the words he was trying to enforce were even true. Taking a deep breath, the hybrid could feel his anger slowly lessen, the rage becoming less a blazing inferno and more a tamed flame. The fire wouldn't consume him... but he needed to still use it to his own ends...
"Lev... I'm a Human." Tomo finally echoed in a matter of fact tone, raising his eyes to meet the older man's gaze with a firm stare. Almost eerily calm, Tomoyo closed the distance between the two. His body movement, the way he stuck his fist to his side clearly telegraphed a message that no doubt the older Saiyan would understand. This was going to be his final blow, his last punch.
Scarlet ki swirled around the hybrid Human's fist as it began growing in intensity second by second. The power this time though wasn't just an erratic boost of energy... it felt controlled, purposefully evoked and stoked for further use. Instead of outright exploding into an attack, Tomoyo was charging his energy.

"...I'm not a Saiyan." these words resounded in the mind of the man, he couldn't comprehend them, after so many months of wrestling with himself and his desires, after fighting to hold on to his heritage and still remain a good man; this little boy unravelled it all. Why, what was so bad about 'being' what they both clearly were and why was it so heartbreaking to hear the next generation talk like that? First he had to deal with an overall dislike for his race, sure he could understand it given what the SSE did to them, though hadn't he gone out of his way to try and contradict this? A flash of his Brothers grave granted the Saiyan a jaw solid as stone, the frown descended into not just a scowl but a horrifying snarl. This was getting ridiculous, now their proaganda had reached people as young as this, what even the point of this escapade if there were always going to be prejudices so stubborn Lev' may as well -be- one of those slavers, murderers or activists that sought vile states such as war.
Levlidian ceased all action, the beasts brow sank further painting his complexion a terrifying stain of rage, there was no sense holding back any longer. "You're pathetic," he spat and an explosion infernal destruction shaped the floor beneath him. Debris and stone opted for the skyline whilst his form buckled beneath the so called -temper- of his heritage. "You toss your heritage away, the proud and powerful warriors who before any of this blasphemous utterance over the Solar Empire. You're a god damn Saiyan, half breed or not you spineless little runt and you're going to fucking accept it. Our ancestors fought tyrants, they battled monsters and all in the god damn name of this pathetic little ball of dirt," the temper splayed and his eyes locked for his enticing ability swallowing Ki to evoke greater power.
"We are not defined by those warmongers, -I- will not allow you to define us by some sordid bit of your past or what ever you've heard. -we- ARE Warriors Tomoyo, proud and powerful beings with the blood of animals and fending for justice," Slowly the beasts form shifted again, switching into his style of pose, combat flared like a blaze through a single obsidian eye; "I'm done playing with you -humans-, if you want the angry, stereotypical Saiyan monster-". His pride was on fire, dented and shredded by simple words. Levlidian knew he was over reacting but he couldn't help himself and that oncoming notion of combat had his heart ever more excited, if his rage hadn't succeeded enough. "-Then I'll give you all a Saiyan to truly fear, my pride for my race is greater than anyone's and I will not let a coward like you defile it,"
"So bring it, you insufferable little midget, I'm done trying to be nice to someone who is incapable of discerning much beyond an inch before his nose. Come at me, with everything, if you hate me so much then my attempts to befriend you have failed; which makes you my enemy," Clutching the fist balled at his side and flaring his splayed palm like talons whilst the vortex swept at his mane, it drew upwards fluttering against the sheer weight of his power. "Mark my words, you clown, without friends as ruthless as I am; you're going to die some day and I for one will never shed a tear for a traitor,"

Just when Tomo thought he had finally calmed himself down, focusing on the ideal that he wasn't a Saiyan by denying half of his heritage... Levlidian's own rage brought it crashing back onto his shoulders with his enraged claims. The scarlet energy pulsating in Tomo's hand continued to grow, but now instead of it being a steady progression it instead began fluctuating erratically almost like the half Saiyan had lost control of it... or maybe he just didn't care.
"Coward?! You don't know anything you jerk!" Tomo screamed back after hearing Lev's ridiculous accusations, tears streaming down the sides of his face as the anger soon resurged, the child's teeth bared like fangs. "You think I didn't want to be a Saiyan. Ever since I was a baby my mommy trained me every day trying to get me to be strong, trying to fly, trying to be a Saiyan and every single day I failed. When I went with my mom to Planet Vegeta I failed to even measure up to the weakest on missions! Everywhere I went on Vegeta everyone stared at me like I was a mistake just because I couldn't even become an ape looking at the moon!" His statements growing unrelated, the strained child was at this point screaming at the former his feelings. His face finally had shown, he was envious of Lev... and he couldn't take it sitting down the Beast putting him down like he outright always denied his heritage. "What choice do I have besides trying to be Human when I ALWAYS FAIL!"
"EVEN HALF THE TIME I CAN'T EVEN BE HUMAN BECAUSE OF THIS STUPID THING ON MY BUTT!" Pulling down his pants slightly, Tomo whipped out the tail which he had almost always kept hidden from sigh to blend in. The fluffy black appendage wriggled in irritation, smacking against the ground habitually in the hybrid's anger and despair. "Don't call me a traitor. I'd rather die than be EVER CALLED A SAIYAN AGAIN! IF BEING A SAIYAN MEANS HATING MYSELF, BEING HATED BY MY OWN MOM, THEN I NEVER WANT TO BE A STUPID SAIYAN EVER AGAIN!!!" Pausing in his progression, Tomoyo fell onto his knees, his ki charge falling away as he confessed his reasoning to Levlidian. Barely holding up his own body on his hands and knees right in front of his "rival", Tomoyo's tears streamed down before staining the tops of Lev's shoes.
"I'm a liar... I'm not a human... I'm not a Saiyan... I'm just a useless FREAK!" The facade of strength and calm had been cracked by the older Saiyan's words. In front of the older saiyan completely at his mercy was a helpless child that had surrendered even his last strength to the older man's might.

The inferno tore apart sand and dirt alike as Levlidian's rage swept up and through the air and the torrents of vibrating molecules boasted nothing short of pure power, the truth behind his temperament as of late had almost completely shrouded him. Nothing but red blemished his view, Tomoyo was going to pay in blood for pushing him back down into these depths. If this was how it was meant to be, he thought, then so be it; someone had to act the terror in order to draw the best from others and in the wake of the younger Saiyans enticing temper it seemed they'd clash as the monsters they were born to be. However, the revelation accompanied by tears of a distraught boy pierced this veil like a sword might a shield.
Faltering, Levlidian allowed his ki to disperse all at once calming the scene and his quivering hands rose to clasp his head spreading about his spined fringe. this was so confusing, what was even happening here? One moment he'd finally gained some clarity, finally he'd seen a path before him just as his Father had always noted in their talks. Rage had guided him and he'd been on the brink, Lev' could feel that inner fire, he could almost touch it but just like that it was gone. At the heels of his boots sobbed Tomoyo betraying everything and sounding all too familiar to the older Saiyan. Although upon yanking down his own attire, Lev' had turned his one working orb free of the scene and sneered inwardly whilst releasing his skull from his grasp.
"Shut up," he muttered angrily to himself, his jaw trembling and drawing taught; "Shut up you brat," he spat upon an equally trembling voice, "I'll break your god damn nose if you keep attacking yourself like that,". His single eye returned to him and it welled, yet he fought back those emotions. "Being a Saiyan comes from Honour, it comes from loyalty and it comes from being proud. Being proud of your friends, your race, your self. We believe in ourselves to such a god damn extent it terrifies everyone around us," the tear slipped and trailed down his cheek but a wrist soon sought it thus he'd shakes his head to regain composure. What the hell was with these Earthlings and Half Breeds. They were always so freaking hard on themselves and they saw his race in such a dark light.
Lowering himself to a crouch, he'd offer Tomoyo something his older brother never had and placed his palm gently upon his head, ruffling his hair. "I'm sorry," he muttered, "I've heard so many bad things said about my race that you tipped me over the edge. You're not a freak, just different, like me. The only difference really is you have a chance to do something about it," slowly he'd drift onto his rear and release Tomoyo's mane to peer unto the boots before him. "If I tell you a secret, can you promise me you'll keep it for me?" the request was sudden and a single black orb sought the boy with a broken stare; there was no bravado, Lev' granted Tomoyo a look into how truly shattered as a person he really was; the first to witness the damage these last few months had wrought. "Your Mother was a fool for trying to change you just as my Father and Brother were, no matter what they do or say we're always going to be who we want to be. I know you wanted to impress her, to make her proud but honestly; I think your missing out on the fact you've made so many others proud in the wake of stumbling about this planet. Shouldn't you focus on that and just be who you want to be? Whether you're a Saiyan or not?"
"Nothing to hate about you kid, you're too adorable and innocent for your own good but you have good intentions, but you're not Human, well half of you isn't but that's ok. Blood doesn't dictate who you are-," he taps his temple with a forefinger and frowns, "-It's what you feel and how you act as a person that decides that, well that's what Hinawa taught me. But-," he sighed and peered away, "I'm going to have to do something really bad soon, it's going to make a lot of people sad and I'm trusting you by telling you that I don't want to do it. However, to unwravel this world and change it for the better sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do,"

Feeling the intense energy radiating off of Levlidian as he fell on his hands and knees in tears, Tomoyo shut his eyes tightly in expectation from an attack from above. A blast, a punch, a stomp, a kick, at this point nothing would surprise him because Tomo just didn't care anymore. When everything boiled down Levlidian was a Saiyan and Tomo... "I'm a freak... and no matter what... That's what I'll always b-"
Interrupted mid thought, Tomoyo was completely caught off guard when instead of an attack from above he felt completely adverse to his expectations a rough yet gentle hand ruffle his puffed hair. Eyes widening open in shock, the confused hybrid froze still completely unresponsive in shock as the child listened on to the older man speak. The way Levlidian sounded, compassionate, empathetic, it was like he was just like Tomoyo... but on the opposite side of the spectrum. Instead of trying and failing to be more Saiyan, it sounded like Lev was trying and failing to be less Saiyan! Like ships passing in the night at this moment, at this point in time they were stuck in the same position... where they chose to move from that point though was what Tomo just couldn't figure out!
Shouldn't you focus on that and just be who you want to be? Whether you're a Saiyan or not?
Raising up his head as Levlidian released his hand from it, the hybrid of conflicting races cast his gaze towards the one who for the past month he had been convincing himself was his greatest enemy... and yet the reality of the fact was so much different. This beast of a Saiyan that had been the subject of his envy, was in fact one of his greatest friends?! "..." At the comment on what he wanted to be... Tomoyo was still at a dead end though. He only wanted to be more Saiyan to make his mother and everyone proud and accept him, and it was the exact same reasoning for wanting to be Human! Swallowing a gulp of air before releasing the bruised and bloodied fists the child had been clenching all this time, Tomoyo sniffed his nose before responding to Levlidian's question. "...I... I just want to be Tomo."
I'm going to have to do something really bad soon, it's going to make a lot of people sad and I'm trusting you by telling you that I don't want to do it.
"..." Staring the Saiyan warrior, the object of Tomoyo's envy and hatred for the past month and a half, the conflicted hybrid came to a resolute decision despite hearing the older man's admittance to later doing a despicable act. "Lev... I'm sorry f-for hitting and yelling at you... You're a good person. Better than me."
"I don't care what you do... I promise you'll still be my... my... friend."

He sighed, Tomo' insisted on berating himself but he supposed it was down to his training to become what ever he needed to; it was odd though, that a boy of this age would become the closest thing he had to someone who understood. silence fell between the pair even after Tomoyo spoke of friendship, the sands about each others hands and boots swirled like vipers coating each with a fine film, even now it was difficult to speak. Laying bare ones soul does indeed come with some nasty side effects, however, upon regarding the lad with his obsidian eye the beast parted his jaw to bestow more conversation. "I'm not better than you, Tomo', we're equals with equal measure shit that's screwed us up internally. As far as I'm concerned, you're -my- better, I envy you, I wish I could see the world like you do sometimes,".
intaking breath, the wind stealing the chocolate mane to sweep wildly across the features of Lev's complexion as he'd continue, "I've always been your friend, even back at the tournament I was only trying to help," with a meek shrug and a grin. "Though I'm Saiyan, besides myself I've yet to come across another educated version of my kind. The more I look into this Universe the more I see Wolves in sheeps clothing, creatures posing as nice but hiding a more so dark nature,". At one time or another he'd been such a person, it stood to reason that people could change but- but transgressions had to be met with consequences. There was no leniency for failure to abide by honour. The Solar Empire as a whole needed to be expunged or re-shaped, if the young Saiyan had to steal the throne to do it, he would; the leader themselves had to held accountable and until Lev' gained the power to match whom ever headed one of the most powerful War efforts in the Universe; he was stuck fighting off his own demons.
"If you want to be you, just be you, forget what others say is right or what races are evil. You can't help what you are but you can change 'who' you are, wanna be a hero, be one as cliché as that is, you want to play and have fun; do it," it was here that Lev' stood offering the small boy a hand and tilting his head. HEavy boots sank into the sand and again he xamined the frustrated kid, in a weird way he even looked like a younger version of him; if a bit darker. Levlidian's own skin was much darker than most Saiyan's but such was down to his exposure to the sun of Vegeta in his endless hours of training. "Way I see it, you're trying to be someone you aren't to impress people who simply don't understand uniqueness. Of course you're going to fail at that, the real you is far too strongly ingrained into that flesh of yours and you just have to let go; allow it to happen. People will like you more if you do,"
"I'm glad, that you'd not judge me on what I need to do. It'll stain my soul like nothing else but you need to do me a favour and be the little Hero I couldn't be; defend and protect. All that crap," and again his bravado began to leak out. Lev's emotional shields showed themselves in a smirk to which bloomed about the thin lips he carried. "Maybe one day we'll work together and protect everyone. Unless you choose not to be a fighter, which is fine, I'll have to work extra hard to defend your way of life. Just don't die, Tomo'. Stay alive long enough for me to see what a Hero should look like so I can take after you when the time is right. If there's one thing you're not, besides a little squirt- it's useless, you're stronger than you let y'self be and that rage of yours is going to tap into something some day that'll over shadow any evil. Super Saiyan's have defended Earth before,"
