Tomoyo thread PL: 140,890 Heavy weights: ON What would drive the insane majin to return to this desert? What reason could she possibly have for actually returning to this hell of an area? well as hard as it is to admit she actually came here willingly...After eavesdropping overhearing talk about this strange, mysterious and sacred temple somewhere she just had to check it out! In her defence, it had been a while since she had actually been in this desert... she thought maybe her hatred for the blanket of tiny rocks had actually been a phase of her younger self, yet she still had hatred for this damn stuff called sand, not only sand but the HEAT! It wasn't like it actually hurt her or anything but it was so distracting, even Presto, a majin! was actually beginning to sweat. Her pink skin was starting to be even somewhat visible through the black, latex tights she wore over her body. She overlooked herself, her tongue hanging from her mouth as she panted like a dog. "No one deserves this..." she muttered as she started to smell the honey like scent emitting from her body...wait...why did it smell like honey? it was probably something she could blame Ayumu for...that perverted old geezer could surely be responsible for whatever it was that was going on. but as if she had time for that. She could fly but even then the heat was so damn distracting that she really didn't want to...slowly her steps came to a stop and she flopped belly first onto the hot sand. "Can't...take it...any... ... ...more.." she said laying there flat on the blanket of sand...coming here alone was a truly terrible idea. She didn't even have the satisfaction of knowing how far she was from this temple, as if it mattered, she was still exhausted from the burning heat that was the desert.

Why was Tomo in a desert again? He hated the heat, he hated the sand, he hated how he could walk for ages without looking like he went anywhere at all until his feet hurt.
...and yet he still moved foreward, because he had nowhere else to go. Being evicted, quite mercilessly from the place he had for weeks called home, Tomoyo's face beheld a melancholic depression as the child dragged his legs through the sand. Unable to take with him everything he had set up and placed in the Tower, all Tomo had in his possession were the weights on his back, his stick, and the few items he could capsulize in a case tied to the end of his stick via a bandanna.
In other words, he looked like the stereo typical hobo with his runaway bindle~
Exhaustion beginning to set in, Tomo did not have much to do in the ways of turning back. He couldn't fly back as he didn't know how, there was no Haz to save him... "...so where do I go now?" Whispered the child from his coarse throat as it whistled in the dry wind. Tomoyo was just about ready to plop down onto the ground where he stood and take whatever the world threw at him... until something in his peripheral vision caught his eye. It clashed so vividly against the monotonous yellow-orange of the environment, the hybrid child wondered why he hadn't seen it before!
It was pink, black, and glistening in the light. "Please be food... or water!" Tomo exclaimed out loud as he slide along the dunes of grainy death while approaching the quivering mass. As his vision cleared of the object with the heat lines disappearing at the closed distance, Tomoyo was finally realizing that it wasn't food, or water, but a person! A pink Majin in particular.
Finally approaching until his feet rested at the head of the Majin girl, Tomoyo's eyebrows furrowed in intrigue, but also panic. "I hope she's not dead." Crouching down onto the fronts of his feet until his torso matched up to Presto's head. Tomo stuck out a finger before pressing it into the girl's head to poke her. "Hey. Are you alive, miss?"
About to bring back his finger and continue the poke, Tomoyo felt a little nauseous as the sweaty head was not only moist, but sticky. Thin strands of the viscious fluid clung to his fingers for a few seconds until they snapped back into place, leaving residue on his finger. Bringing it up hesitantly to his nose, a whiff of the alien fluids caught his attention with its abnormally sweet smell. Was alien sweat supposed to smell like honey?
"Please don't be dead~"

Once Presto's eyes closed, all time had disappeared. She couldn't be sure whether she had fallen asleep for an hour or a mere few seconds in that time she had laid her face on the hot, annoying sand. One thing was for certain though..honey-sweat and hot weather did not mix at all whatsoever. As time went on she could feel the honey harden around her body. It was already annoying to eat ice cream and have it get all over her fingers and get just as sticky, but this stickiness...this heat...and these tights? it was enough to trigger her. That was when she felt a poke and a very cute sounding voice near her. It took a few seconds to process this but when she had finally figured it out...boy did she. Her eyes opened wide, and her ki rose from around her body. She instantly rose to her feet. Taking in a large, deep breath, then exhaling.
After doing this the honey shell around her would shatter off of her like glass. She'd shout a loud shout and stretch her hips to the point where she had twisted around herself like a rubberband before snapping back into place. "Ahhhh!!! Oh my goodness! it feels SO GOOD to have someone here with me! when I am alone in the desert I just can't help but pass out!" she said with a funny looking expression on her face, holding her hands open as if she had been surprised by something and her jaw dropped. She blinked twice before realizing she hadn't actually seen who it was that had poked her. She looked around for a few moments before finally just looking in the direction of the only ki source other than her's...and then looking down. There she would see a young lad, that was either worried or hated the sun as much as her, maybe both? as if it mattered, what mattered is that he was here!
Smiling she kneeled down, crossing her arms over her knees she patted the boy on the head gently. "Hello there! thank you for saving me from this damnable desert! But uh..." she looked around the boy noticing that he had been by himself... "What's a youngin' like you doing in the middle of the desert?" she asked with a tilt to the head. What Presto hadn't noticed is how much she had done all at once, one couldn't be surprised if the child were either too scared or too shocked to register anything she just said, but to hell with saying all of that again...

"GAH! SHE'S ALIVE!" Tomoyo exclaimed in fright, jumping back from the suddenly awake and quite active Majin female. Holding his arms up as the relieved girl began stretching and contorting in directions every which way while letting out weird sighing guttural noises, Tomo was starting to think maybe he had woken her up and she was going to attack him! Holding up his arms to shield himself a little as he was sprayed with the tiny bits of the shattered shell around Presto, Tomoyo's eyes only widened in fear as he took a step back. "I'm sorry!"
Just about prepared to break into a sprint in the other direction, Tomo was surprised to see that no matter how much he tried his body was just rooted to the spot. As the fierce looking pink creature knelt down to his height, her grin looking absolutely terrifying as his imagination accentuated its frightening aspects, the hybrid child flinched slightly while shutting his eyes in preparation for getting hit or worse...
Hello there! thank you for saving me from this damnable desert! But uh...
...
Popping one eye open, as if scared maybe he was hallucinating this or something, Tomoyo's other eye soon followed its example while his scared expression faded to a less wary gaze. "Y-your not mad?" He asked hesitantly, just about as confused as possible. Maybe he had just misinterpreted her erratic and scary actions? "Huh, now i feel silly!"
What's a youngin' like you doing in the middle of the desert?
Now it was Tomoyo's turn to tilt his head as he tried thinking. Heck, he didn't even remember why he had started walking into the desert. Just so devastated about what had happened after his interaction, Tomo guessed his body just unconsciously started walking in one direction? "...I dunna... but I'm lost." Frowning deeply at the situation he was in, the young hybrid figured to maybe just not think about it now. Besides, now Tomo had to introduce himself! "Hi! I'm Tomoyo! It's nice to meetcha."
"What's your name? Are you made of candy?"

Presto blinks, standing straight to her feet she looks down at the boy. "Tomoyo huh...?" She then places her hands on her knees and bends them slightly and smiles at the boy. "That's a nice name you got there! I'm Presto" She said placing a hand on her chest before resting it back on her knee. She chuckled at the boys suddenly happy attitude after being frightened that she might be wanting to beat him up, also half concerned that he didn't know why he was in the desert by himself! When the cute youngin' asked if she had been made of candy she comically cupped her chin and looked to the sky letting out an easy to hear. "Hmmmmm?" as if she were truly having to think about the answer.
Placing her hand back on her knee she looked back to Tomoyo and shook her head before giving him a smile. "Can't say I am, Tomoyo! But what I am is a majin! not sure if you've seen many like me...but we usually come in pretty vibra-" she stopped, thinking of a more simple word to say to the boy "hmmmm...we are usually like crayons! many different colors, as you can see I am pink! like bubble gum!" She put a hand over her forehead to block her eyes from the sun, giving an angry growl. She wanted to keep talking to the boy but didn't want to do it in this damn heat... With a free hand she clicked a button on a pair of keys she had, signaling her ship to show up at this location.
After doing that she looked back to Tomo, making sure to keep a friendly smile painted on her face. "So, Tomoyo, you say you don't know why you are here...I am not sure if you hate the heat as much as I do but it's probably not good for you to be in the middle of this scorching desert by your lonesome...how about this? we can become friends! that way I can invite you into a place much less hot!" She offered her hand forward to allow the boy to shake her hand.

Eyes cast upward, Tomo couldn't help but hold arms laterally above his eyesight as the intense heat and light of the sunlight nearly blinded him. "*groan* Why is it so hot?" The tan child panted, pulling out his sleeveless green gi slightly as it clung quite uncomfortably to his chest, his body neatly drenched in a thin layer of sweat not even close to smelling as nicely as Presto's.
"Hi Presto! I like your name, it's pretty~" Aw yeah! Tomo's getting good at compliments now; it was way easier to practice on adults than people his age since he barely even identified them by their genders. Still though... now probably wasn't the proper time as Tomoyo was literally baking in the heat. His normally fluffed up and partially gravity defying locks were drawn and pressed down to his skull and his sides as the edges beaded with moist swat, causing it to glisten in the light. Seriously, WHY did he think it was a good idea to walk into a DESERT!?
Tomoyo wasn't really that disappointed by Presto confirming that Majin's weren't made of candy; he was just glad he finally had an answer! The truth was that the child had been deathly curious about if they were or not and... well... he couldn't exactly try to take a bite out of one to tell. That'd make him look mean. Jumping back to the present as Presto began relating to him about their condition under the intense heat, Tomoyo shook his head in agreement. "Nu-uh. It's hot!"
...how about this? we can become friends! that way I can invite you into a place much less hot!
"You wanna be my friend?" Tomo's face lit up in excitement as the pink girl's words send him into an excited panic. This was a first, someone asking HIM to be friends with THEM!? It wasn't in and of itself an especially gracious or big gesture, but to Tomo it was the single most nicest thing that Presto could have asked him. Nodding his head furiously, the half-human beamed at her before sticking out his hand up to grasp her own soft and wet appendage. "Yeah! I'd love to be your friend, Miss Presto~"
Feeling curious about the button that Presto had pressed earlier though, Tomo pointed a tired finger at the keys she was holding. "What's that?"

Presto smirked at the nice comment on her name. "Thank you Tomo! I haven't heard a compliment on my name in a long time!" It's not as if it wasn't common that people would compliment on her name though she couldn't really remember the last time someone actually did it...she was sure Shemha probably did but she could be wrong. Presto was also glad to see that Tomo hated the desert as much as she did, though it did raise the question why such a young boy would be here in the first place! Maybe he had a legit reason but the heat of the desert made him forget, she wouldn't be surprised but at the same time she wasn't really concerned about why he was out here just to get him to some place better.
When she asked Tomo if he wanted to be her friend, she was pleased to see the cute boy question her as if he wasn't sure she was actually serious. She would nod to him. "Of course!" she would say as she shook his hand. Presto was glad to hear him say she would of course be her friend, it warmed her heart to see such development in a short amount of time, when the boy asked what the key in her hand was she looked to it then stood straight up. Just as she was about to tell him, her ship had already been in sight. the sand beneath it scattered, she reached down to attempt to pick up Tomoyo and cover his eyes from the blowing sand. "The keys to my ship!" she would shout.
When the ship had finally landed the latch to the inside had opened. She would set Tomo down as the sand had finally stopped blowing towards them. Presto of course started by taking a few steps into the ship herself, looking back to Tomoyo giving him a smirk. "You're welcome inside, Tomo!" She said before advancing further into her ship. She had hoped the boy moved quickly, she wanted to close the hatch soon to escape that dreadful heat.

Despite how extremely uncomfortable he was feeling right now, Tomo was actually really enjoying meeting Presto like this. She seemed like a really nice person, heck she even had asked to be his friend! HIM! Tomo hadn't been the first person to ask!!!
Beaming in pride at how the events of the day had been progressing, the child had already practically forgot he was still homeless at the moment. Hearing Presto call the items her keys, Tomoyo tilted his head confusingly before noticing a large shadow began to grow above them. "What are they the keys t-" Casting his gaze upwards, Tomoyo's eyes widened in awe as he looked upon what seemed to be a giant ship! Clothes and hair whipping wildly under the intense wind forces, Tomo could hardly believe how cool this was! He had never seen a real ship up close besides the really old ones his mom had used sometimes for her missions; this one on the other hadn was so different, so cool, so-
"OWCHIE!" Tomoyo suddenly cried out as the whipping winds filling up the sandy desert landed some very irritable grains of the ground into his wide-open eyes. Rubbing at his face furiously, the pain unbearable, Tomo's eyes teared up behind his quickly closed lids. Feeling himself being lifted up by the Majin, Tomoyo was quick to throw his arms around her and cling onto Presto into his blind state. When the ship had finally landed and the winds died down, Presto would still find Tomoyo still trying to keep himself attached to the girl in his vision less and painful condition. Still though, if Presto was really set on setting Tomo down, it wouldn't take much force to accomplish such as the pain distracted him more and more. "I can't see~" The hybrid whimpered behind heavily lidded eyes.
You're welcome inside, Tomo!
Perfectly willing to come inside with her, Tomoyo continued to furiously rub at his eyes and get the irritable grains loose of his irises; however, the action only proved to seemingly make the pain worse and drive them deeper in as tears freely flowed down Tomo's face.

Presto continued to advance into her ship but soon noticed there were not another set of footsteps behind her. Looking back she would see that the boy was not following her, not because he didn't want to but her attempt at blocking sand from getting into his eyes had failed horribly. Walking back to Tomoyo, Presto could see the tears running down his cheeks as he tried to rub the sand out of his eyes. she cringed a bit before approaching him further kneeling down infront of him to help get the tiny rocks from his eyes.
She reached for his face focusing carefully trying to pull his hands away from his eyes. She reached with a hand to grip both of his wrists and hold them while she tried to help get the sand out of his eyes. "Hold on, hold on hold on, it'll be quick, I promise..." She used her lengthy majin ponytail to hold onto his wrists to keep him from moving too much or trying to reach for his eyes. With two hands she gently pressed her fingers on his lower eye and calmly forced his eyelid to stay open. She caught a quick glimpse of his eye being a bit pink from his constant rubbing. Wasting no time she would blow air into his eye, clearing the sand off and out of his eye socket.
Presto blew once again to make sure she actually got every grain. She then did the same to his other eye making sure she got all the sand out. There was probably a more efficient way to do this but this always worked! She held his eyes open once more to see if they had still been burning, luckily the only thing disorienting now forward was the air she blew into his eye. She let go of his eye quickly but kept his hands bound.
"Okay now blink until your eyes feel normal again...I'm going to pick you up now" If he allowed her to, Presto wrapped her arm around the boys waist and lifted him up by the hook of his legs, holding him she would walk into her ship, closing the hatch behind her and then sitting down on a nearby couch. She reached and grabbed a pillow because she didn't have any tissues on her and wiped away the moisture from his cheeks and sat him on her lap, awaiting him to recover.
She would look to the boy with a smile. "Ugh...this is why sand is the worst..." she would say, shaking her head...oh yeah and she let his wrists free when she picked him up earlier.

Whimpering to himself while rubbing at his lidded eyes furiously in a futile attempt, Tomo was practically in the realms of pure self torture by the time that Presto had finally taken notice and gone back to retrieve him. Feeling Presto's hands suddenly grip on his wrist before drawing them quite forcibly to his sides, Tomoyo struggled as hard as he could to put them back. "Nooo! They huurt!!!" He screamed out loud at the pain while desperately trying to get Presto to let go. Why was she doing this!? It hurt!!!
Hold on, hold on hold on, it'll be quick, I promise...
Feeling some sort of thick strand take the place of the Majin's hands now in holding down his wrists, Tomoyo tried his best to pull away in a futile struggle against her. "Stooooop~" The hybrid child whimpered as tears freely flowed down the sides of his face before staining the sand below. "You're hurting me!" If Tomo had thought the pain was bad enough then though, it was torture times two when he felt the flow of air suddenly impact his eyes as they were forced open. Ceasing his screaming by now and residing to fidget irritably, Tomo could only continue and whine quietly as Presto proceeded to force open his eyes one by one and blow into them. The experience was not one that on any accounts Tomoyo would EVER want to repeat, but it soon got results as the sand grains were quickly removed from the child's exposed eyes.
Still painfully disoriented, but otherwise okay, Tomoyo blindly clung onto Presto after feeling her hoisting him up to her by his legs and waist. Using the context clues presented by the noises around him, Tomo could only guess that the Majin had proceeded to take him into the ship before closing the door behind them. Finally feeling the girl stop moving as her lap leveled below him, the Saiyan hybrid offered not much more resistance to the pink girl when she attempted to dry his face with some sort of fabric.
Blinking his eyes rapidly as the pain slowly began subsiding, the relieved kid let out a sigh before lurching foreward to lean against the Majin's front while still situated on her lap.
Ugh...this is why sand is the worst...
"I hate sand." Tomo agreed, momentarily passive as his eyes were slowly feeling less and less irritated to the point at which he could open them fine, though it still stung a bit. "Thank you, Presto. My eyes still hurt though..."

It was almost heart breaking to hear his agony from the sand being removed from his eyes, but she knew it would work out in the long run, but really she was nearly at tears from hearing him cry, it was more of hearing a child cry rather than immediate bond she felt it wasn't personal or anything. But as she thought, it was better when she actually finished blowing the sand from his ocular orifice. He thanked her with the mention that his eye still did hurt a bit, she knew it would wear off soon though.
"Haha...told'ya you'd thank me...didn't I?...did I?" She pondered whether she did nor not but simply shrugged it off, not paying it too much mind as it didn't matter. She sat, holding the child patiently giving him some time to recover from his little eye problem...She thought for a moment and thought it might be more comfortable for him to actually sit next to her rather on her lap. Gently lifting the boy and placing him on the couch next to her.
She couldn't help but still sit as if she had been there alone, lazily sitting with one leg bent and on the couch while the other slouched onto the ground. She wanted to break the silence so she looked to Tomo, finding this to be a great time to ask him a few things. "So...Tomoyo..AH yes! you said you were lost right? well uh..." she tapped her chin, pausing for a moment. She leaned in looking over the boy. "Well...let's see let's start with this! where do you live? where are your parents?" She asked with a diplomatic tone a voice.

Sniffling his noise quietly every few seconds as the tears finally dammed, Tomo rested against Presto's bosom while trying to not rub his eyes into irritation. "Thank you, Presto." The child repeated, this time softer as he was calming down no longer plagued by the constant pains. Feeling himself be gently lifted off of Presto's lap, Tomo didn't do much to resist the Majin's efforts while he was placed onto the not nearly as comfortable couch cushion; although his face did show a hint of uncomfortability at the slight exchange.
Jumping slightly as Presto exclaimed the previously mentioned conditions of their conversation, the hybrid Human jolted for a few moments before calming down slightly. Letting out a sigh at his own jumpiness, the child bent over sideways to lean his head against Presto's side. As the subject of Tomo's parents suddenly came up though, the room started feeling a lot hotter while the irritation began returning in his eyes; prompting the worried child to begin blinking rather irregularly to ease the pain.
Well...let's see let's start with this! where do you live? where are your parents?
Speaking in his own quiet and less than enthusiastic voice, Tomo cast his gaze forlornly at his feet being reminded of his current living condition. "U-Uh.... I-I don't... live anywhere." Finishing off his statement rather quietly, tears began pooling at the edges of the half Saiyan while his tail fidgeted in irritation under his pant leg's front, producing a rather obvious bulge. Swallowing air as his Adams apple bobbed up and down rhythmically, Tomoyo cleared his throat to continue speaking in a whisper; being reminded of his horrible life conditions did not prove well, he was only functioning early just by the fact that he had made himself forget! "...and... My parents aren't... with me anymore..."
Lips quivering, Tomoyo sniffed his nose repeatedly while trying not to break into tears again. "I wont cry again!" He wouldn't cry again!
...
...
He was crying again.

Presto's eyed widened and she gritted her teeth when Tomoyo started crying again, only this time it wasn't because of sand in his eye...She shook her head and decided to hold him close to her in comfort, grabbing a tissue from the table top next to the couch they sat on and wiping away his tears with it. "Er....don't cry Tomo I didn't mean to hurt you..." Grinding her teeth again she realized how he had said that he didn't have a place to stay at. Pursing her lips she patted Tomo's back as he seemed to still have a few tears to shed. She looked around trying to think of something when she saw her phone! "Ah!" She would say, She was about to walk and get it but she didn't want to stop Tomo from letting out his tears. With the longer portion of her antenna she reached to the phone and grabbed it. Bringing it to her, gazing at Tomo before she did Presto did what any logical person would do in this situation. HOW TO BE A MOTHER 101She scrolled through the steps to find the one that could walk through a woman how to actually tell a child that you were actually going to be their mother...She couldn't find anything specific on that, but there was something that she DID find! MAKE YOUR CHILD FEEL SPECIAL!Nodding with confidence she was sure to do exactly that...looking down at the weeping Tomoyo she set her phone back onto the counter and lifted him back into her lap, hugging him close resting his head on her chest, holding him softly. "Shhhhhhh...there there Tomoyo...I'm here for you..no need to cry, Presto's with you...Mama's with you..." She bit her lower lip after saying that...there was really no going back... She used her lengthy antenna once again to grab a swirly lollipop from the kitchen, holding it to the boy. "Here you go~ have some candy...you're too tough to cry Tomo!"

Drawing comfort from the soft Majin girl holding him tighter, Tomoyo's chest rose and fell slower and slower as he calmed down in Presto's embrace. Watching his tears be dabbed away from Presto with a tissue, Tomo offered the girl a reluctant smile. He didn't want her to get sad because he was sad, then he'd get even more depressed!
Jolting in the woman's grip as she suddenly extended her antenna to retrieve her cellular device, Tomo began twisting his head wildly trying to find out what had prompted the sudden outburst. Swiveling his fluffy hair in the girl's chin while trying to spy what was on the other side of the phone in her hand, Tomo was completely unsuccessful in even catching a glimpse of the page's contents.
Whatever it was though it must have been good as before he knew it Tomo was being lifted back up onto Presto's cushioned thighs, the difference now being the girl's chest pressed lightly against Tomoyo's back as the child was embraced in a soft hug. Melting into the warmth of the motherly figure's comforting presence, the hybrid's erratic breathing slowed to a steady inhale and exhale.
Shhhhhhh...there there Tomoyo...I'm here for you..no need to cry, Presto's with you...Mama's with you...
Presto's with you...Mama's with you...
Mama's with you...
"Mama." Tomo's voice echoed in trail of Presto's as the words circled his mind. Mother... what was a mom? In all the television shows Tomo had seen the mother was the big lady in the house that was married to your father, and was really nice. Mothers kissed your cuts and bruises, hugged you when you were sad, punished you when you were bad but still loved you all the same no matter what...
In other words, the complete antithesis to Tomo's own mother. She was only nice and comforting when she wanted to trick him, always beating him, always "training" him, the only person she showed care for was his father and even then that was for reasons beyond Tomoyo's understanding due to the relationship being primarily physical in nature. Tomoyo had never known the love and care of a real mother... but the way he was feeling now... maybe that person could be Presto? "She said she was my mom... can she be my mama?"
Twisting his head back to look directly into Presto's eyes, Tomo ignored the candy instead opting to instead focus entirely on the maternal Majin. "...Presto?" He started hesitantly, unsure if maybe he had misheard and with his next words would just make the woman hate him. "C-Can you really be my mom?"

Presto's brow rose as the boy's question, looking her in the eye Tomo asked straight to Presto's face if she could be his mom. She looked to the side, biting her lip. She wanted to immediately say yes, but him asking really did make her question her own intentions. This wouldn't be the first time she tried to make family...but! This was different! this would be different! Presto thought long and hard. She had always been the on the supporting end of the families she had tried to make, She still had Walker and Bastion...but she was forced to come to the realization that her adopted mother abandoned her...and then her father dissipated.
Walker and Bastion had been the most family she had ever had. Finally Presto looked back to Tomoyo, with a confident smile. "Tomoyo...you ask if I CAN be your mom...but..." She pulled the boy in, hugging him close.
"I AM your mom...I am now..." She ran her hand through his hair as she held him close to her soft body. She hug seemed like it would last forever the way Presto held onto the boy. Opening her eyes, Presto looked at the back of Tomoyo's head as she hugged him. She thought to herself..the risks she had been taking...all she had to do was be there for him. The mistakes of her mother...Presto wouldn't allow herself to become that person.
"Can you ever see me as your mother...Tomoyo? even if you don't...I'll protect you, I'll be there for you." She bit her lower lip, nearly bringing herself to tears.
